We left off with Heath being giving a release from the doctor. Jeremy and

Chapter 5

when he realized that he was right. He watched him go upstairs and when he
reached his room he slammed the door behind him. Jeremy knew that although

yell. He gave him a few minutes to calm down, then went upstairs and
knocked on the door. Heath said nothing, he knocked again, nothing, may I

got up and went downstairs.

         They were both slaving away in the kitchen, they were preparing

table. Everything was finished cooking and they heard the ar pull into the

over and closed the door, he turned and headed back to where Heath was

pocket and called 911, gave them the infromation and they said they were on
the way. Jeremy ran down stairs and waited for the fire department, when
they arrived he led them upstairs. The peramedics were doing their thing
and were advised by the hospital to bring him in. Heath was put into the
ambulance and was again on the way to hel hospital with mom, dad and Jeremy
close behind. They arrived at the hospital shortly after the
ambulance. Heath was taken into the emergency room. They waited in the
waiting room for what seemed to be hours, The doctor came in and said that
they needed to run some tests and the results would not be in for a few
days. Jeremy had tears in his eyes and asked if he could see him, the
doctor said OK but only for a few miutes because he needed to rest, Jeremy
exploded and said rest thats all he has been doing for 6 months is resting
, do something, make him better, I need him, and he broke down and fell to
the floor crying. Mom picked him up and walked over and sat down with him
and told him that they were doing everything they can. Jeremy said it isn't
fair that he was to suffer so much, why couldn't it have been me. Mom said

you have to buck up and go in there like everything is gooing to be fine,

that he needed to go home and get some sleep, he had school tomorrow and he

doctor came in and said that it was time to go. Jeremy tried to fight back

see you in the morning, with that they took Heath away. Jeremy walked very
lowly out to the waiting room where mom and dad where waiting. Mom put her
arm around Jeremy and could tell that the visit did not go well Jeremy was
still crying and as they left Jeremy was jsut beside himself over what had
happened, he tried to figure it out but it just did not add up. They
arrived home and Jeremy went right up stairs and closed the bedroom door
and fell on the bed and started crying again, the next thing he knew the
alarm was going off.  He got up and ran into the bathroom, took a shower,
and ran into the bedroom to get dressed and was down stairs in no time at
all. There was a note on the table that said that mom had called schooland
told them that he would not be there today. Jeremy smiled and said to
himself Mom your amazing. He ate breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen got
the keys to the car and was out the door and on the way to the
hospital. When he got there he went up the Heath's room but he was not
there, He panicked, run to the nurses station and asked for Heath, they
said he should be back any minute they had taken him to the shower room,
can I wait in his room, the nurse said of course. Heath was back in about
15 minutesand was wide awake and very talkative. Jeremy walked over to the
side of the bed leaned down hugged Heath and said don't you ever leave
me. Heath had tears in his eyes as well and said not if he could help
it. the doctor came in and looked at Jeremy and asked if he was feeling
better this morning, he apoligized to the doctor, although Heath had no
idea what was going on, jeremy said I will tell you later. The doctor said
that what had happened was that Heath had over done it yesterday and
because of the lack of oxygen in his system he could not respond quickly to
increase the oxygen flow to the body and his system just automaticly
started to to shut down, he said that if all goes well in the next few
hours that he could go home today. Jeremy ran over and hugged the doctor
and said that was the best news he had heard all week. The hugged him back
and asked then am I forgiven for last night, Jeremy smiled and said oh
yeah. Jeremy sat around the hospital room with Heath, about 10:30 the nurse
came in and said are you ready to go home, they looked at each other and
back to the nurse and in unison said yep. The brought Heath to the car in a
wheel chair, he got in and they drove away, jeremy gave heath his cell and
said call mom and let her know. Jeremy stopped at Burger King Heath's
favorite breakfast was a sausage. egg and cheese crousant Jeremy drove
home, help Heath out of the car and into the house, upstairs and into
bed. Please stay in bed and rest I will go to school and take care of
homework stuff. Jeremy kissed him with much more passion than he had every

in Heath's homework picked up his new assignments from Mr. Warner, Told him
what ahd happened last night and then headed home again. the rest of the

was laying there staring at him, he said I am sorry for scaring you last
night, I hope that I will be more patient and listen a little better. They
kissed very passionately and fell asleep in each others arms.
