This isn't the story for you.


     Well, this is the chapter where things are really
going to start to take off.  Hope everyone enjoys it.

"ALEX'S DECISION"

****ALEX****

     I still don't know what to think about what Ray
did.  It doesn't even seem like something Ray would
even think about doing.  Well, the Ray I thought I
knew wouldn't do it, but now it seems as if I don't
even know Ray anymore.  He's a completely different
person and I don't know what to think of it.  I hate
Jeff even more now for this.  If I never knew about
this everything would be just fine now.  Ray and I
would be okay and it would be perfect.  But then it
all turned to crap right when Jeff walked through the
door.

****FLASHBACK****

I went back to the living room where Ray and my
friends were and we all just talked and everything.
Then Ray and I went into the kitchen.

The gathering was going well.  Ray's friends and my
friends were getting along well with each other.

"Hey Alex, looks like my friends are getting along
pretty well with your friends." Ray said

"I know, that's cool.  This was a great idea Ray." I
said

"Thank you." Ray replied

Then there was a knock on the door.

"Who's that?" I asked

"I don't know.  I thought everyone was here." Ray said

I looked around to see if any of my friends were not
there, but they were all here.

"Come in!" Ray shouted out

Then the door opened and someone walked in.

"Oh my God." Ray said to himself

"Who is it?" I asked

Ray looked over at me with a worried look...

"Ray what's he doing here?" Larry asked coming up to
me.

"Who is it?" I asked

"That's my ex-boyfriend." Ray said

I looked at him with shock then looked back as his
ex-boyfriend walked through the door, through the hall
way and into the living room of Ray's apartment.

****END FLASHBACK****

"I hate Jeff." I said to myself

****RAY****

"I hate Jeff." I said to Larry.

"Well you have every right to." Larry replied

"Although, this whole thing is partially my fault to."
I said

"How is any of this your fault?" Larry asked "If Jeff
hadn't come back, everything would be fine."

"Yea, but if I hadn't gone so far as to threaten him
and pay off his friend in the first place then I
wouldn't have had such a big secret to hide from
Alex." I said "The only people who know what happened
is you, Jeff, that guy he slept with and now Alex."

"Has Alex called you at all?" Larry asked

"No, and it's been over a week." I replied "I think he
might break up with me."

"Why don't you get him something?" Larry suggested

"Yea, sure Larry. Then he might think that I'm trying
to buy him off too. Except this time I'm buying him
stuff so he'll stay with me." I said

"I guess you're right." Larry replied

"I just need to give him time.  Let this all settle in
for him." I said "If he wants to stay with me, I'll be
happier than ever, but if he wants to break up with
me, then I can't really blame him."

"I just don't see how it was such a big deal." Larry
said "You threatened Jeff and bought off his sex
buddy......well, yea I guess that does seem pretty
bad."

"And I kept that secret for so long." I began "But, I
mean if anyone did find out about it, it could ruin my
families and my reputation."

"I guess being the wealthy, country club membership,
posh living family has it's ups and downs." Larry said

"I remember how cute Alex was when I told him about my
families wealth.  We had been going out for about a
month." I said

****FLASHBACK****

     Alex and I were on my couch kissing.  His lips
were so soft and tender, his breath was warm and
fresh.  I felt as if I could kiss him forever.  His
hands were holding mine and he then slid his hands
down my arm.

Alex broke away from our kiss for a minute to take a
breather.

"What time is it?" Alex asked looking at my watch.
"Holy Crap! You have a Rolex?"

"Yea." I replied

"Damn, that's nice." Alex said "And expensive."

"Not really." I said

"What do you mean? Is it one of those fake boot leged
ones?" Alex asked

"No, it's real." I replied

"And a real Rolex wasn't expensive for you?" Alex
asked

"Alex, I haven't told you, but money isn't really a
problem for me." I said

"What do you mean? Are you a millionaire or somthing?"
Alex asked jokingly

"Pretty much." I replied

"What?" Alex asked shocked

"Yea, I didn't want to tell you, until you really got
to know me for me.  Because one of my boyfriends I had
just kept trying to use me for money all the time and
I made a deal with myself that I wouldn't tell another
boyfriend about my wealth until we both got to know
each other." I replied

"Aw man.  This is going to put a lot of extra stress
on me now." Alex said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Well, what if I want to get you a gift?" Alex asked
"I go out and buy you something I think is nice, but
to you, it might as well have come from good will or
somthing."

I just smiled and gave Alex a hug.

"You're cute when you're stressed." I said

"Just shut up and start kissing me some more Mr.
Millionaire." Alex said

"Okay." I said smiling and began to kiss him some
more.

****END FLASHBACK****

"You really love him?" Larry asked

"Of course.  Do you even have to ask?" I replied

"Then go to him." Larry said

"I can't." I replied "I just need to give him some
time to think about it."

"Ray, don't be stupid." Larry said "Alex is confussed
right now, you need to go to him and just show him
what a good person you are.   Yes, you made a mistake
in the past, but it's in the past."

"But-" I began but Larry cut me off

"No, go to him." Larry said "Now."

****ALEX****

   I was at work and as usual nobody was here.  We
shouldn't even bother opening up the video store this
early.  But then some guy came him.

"Excuse me." the guy said coming up to me.

"Yes?" I asked

"Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out." He
replied

"With what?" I asked

"I want to rent a movie, but I'm not sure what I
should rent." He said

"Well, what kind of movies do you like?" I asked

"Comedy." He replied

"We have a huge selection in the comedy section, you
should start your search there." I suggested

"But what would you recomend?" He asked

"My taste in movies might differ from yours." I
replied

"Well, let's see." He said

"Okay, I would suggest 'Happy Glimore'." I said

"you know, that sounds perfect." He replied "I knew
you could help me out."

He then went off to the comedy section and came back
with 'Happy Gilmore'.

"So, is this your favorite movie?" He asked

"Yea, it's one of them." I replied

"Oh, really? What other movies you like?" He asked

"I like the 'Austin Powers' movies, 'James Bond',
'Scary Movie', 'Rush Hour', 'Die Hard', 'The
Fugative'." I said "I like all kinds."

"Those are all good choices." he replied

"Yup. They're great." I said

"My name's Taylor." He said holding out his hand

"Alex." I replied shaking it.

"So, you like working here?" Taylor asked

"It's all right." I replied

"I bet you see lots of good looking girls here alot."
Taylor said

"Yea, I do." I said

"Probably some good looking guys too." Taylor said
smiling a little.

"Um, okay. The total for the movie is 2.50." I said
trying to change the subject.

"I'm sorry.  Am I making you uncomfortable?" Taylor
asked

"No, I'm just a little confussed as to where you're
trying to get with this conversation." I replied

"I was trying to get your number." Taylor said

"And what makes you think I'm into guys?" I asked

"Let's just say, I have a 6th sense for this kind of
thing." Taylor replied

"Well, I'm flattered and all, but I'm kind of seeing
someone." I said

"Kind of seeing someone?" Taylor asked "Doesn't sound
like it's real serious if your saying you're 'kind of
seeing someone"

"We're just going through some stuff right now." I
replied

"Hey, I'm a good listener." Taylor said then he took
out a pen and the receipt from the videos and wrote
down a number "Call me sometime."

"Well, thanks, but like I said. I'm seeing someone." I
replied

"Kind of seeing someone.  You said you're 'kind of'
seeing someone." Taylor said "Just keep the number
with you.  I'll see you again when I come to return
the video."

Taylor then left.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't
a little intrigued by his persistence, but I need to
see what's going on with me and Ray.  I looked down at
the receipt with Taylor's phone number on it and I put
it in my wallet...just in case.

****JEFF****

I was at home packing some of my stuff up when my
phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked picking up the phone.

"It's Taylor."

"Did you go to the video store to talk to Alex today?"
I asked

"Yes." Taylor replied

"Finally.  Why didn't you go to him last Sunday when I
told you to?" I asked a little pissed

"Something came up last Sunday and I couldn't." Taylor
replied

"I'm paying you good money to do this Taylor." I began
"What if Alex had gotten over what Ray told him and
was now back together with him?"

"He's not." Taylor replied "I talked to him and the
way it sounds, he seems a little unsure about the
relationship."

"Really?" I asked smiling

"Yea and he even said they were going through some
stuff right now." Taylor said

"You just made my day Taylor." I replied

"Glad to hear it." Taylor said

"This just may be the beginning of the end of Ray and
Alex." I said

****RAY****

   I pulled up to the video store and went inside and
Alex was at the front counter sorting out tapes.

"Hey." I said going up to him.

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked

"Can't a guy visit his boyfriend?" I asked hoping he
was still my boyfriend.

"Yea. But, I still need some time to think." Alex
replied

"I know, and I respect that.  I just, I love you Alex
and I don't want us to be over with before it can
really even begin." I said to him.

Alex smiled for a second.

"Ray, you just seem completely different now." Alex
replied "I mean, I never would have thought you would
do something like that."

"I'm sorry." I said

"No, you don't have anything to apologize to me for.
I just need more time to think things over." Alex
replied

"If that's what you want." I said then I turned to
leave.

"Ray." Alex called out.

"Yea?" I asked turning around to look at him.

"Thank you for coming to see me." Alex said

"Any time." I replied smiling.

****JEFF****

"Taylor, I told you.  You have to work quickly if
we're going to break up Ray and Alex.  Alex seems to
be quite the push over so that can either work for us
or against us." I said

"I know that.  I'm going to go back to where he works
tonight." Taylor replied

"All right then." I said

"So when are you moving into your new place?" Taylor
asked

"Today." I began "Mr. and Mrs. Calkins finished moving
out yesturday.  So, I want to get in as quickly as
possible."

"I see." Taylor replied

"I can't wait to see the look on Ray's face when he
see's me moving in." I said smiling

****RAY****

"No way!" I said when I saw Jeff moving things into
Mr. and Mrs. Calkin's old apartment.

"What's wrong Ray?" Jeff asked

"You are not moving in here." I said going up to him.

"Yes I am." Jeff replied

"Haven't you caused enough damage for one life time?"
I asked

"You haven't seen anything yet." Jeff said

"If you move in, I'll do everything in my power to
make sure you leave here." I said

"We'll see." Jeff replied

I stood there and glared at him.

"What did I ever see in you?" I asked

"Hey Ray, don't try and make me the bad guy here."
Jeff said

"Believe me, I don't have to TRY and make you look
like the bad guy." I retorted

"Listen Ray!  None of this would be happening if you
hadn't threatened me.  So if you want to blame anyone
for what's happening to you now, blame yourself!" Jeff
snapped then he picked up a box of his stuff and
stormed into his new apartment.

****ALEX****

   I was just finishing up work, I got in my car and
just sat there thinking about the last time Ray came
to where I work...

****FLASHBACK****

"Listen, Ray. It was fun, but obviously it wasn't
going to last." I said

"What makes you figure that?" Ray asked

"We met online. That should have been our first clue
that this relationship was doomed." I said

"You really want to end it?" Ray asked

I didn't say anything, because I still wasn't sure if
I wanted to end it or not. Ray looked at me for a
minute then headed towards the door.

"I love you." Ray said pausing at the door then left.

****END FLASHBACK****

"I have to go see him." I said to myself then I drove
off heading towards Ray's place.

****JEFF****

   I just got done moving all my stuff into my new
apartment.  Now all I have to do is unpack my things.
But before I started to unpack I was feeling a little
hungry so I decided to go get something to eat.  I
then took a quick shower and got dressed then I went
in the elevator...

   When I got out of the elevator in the lobby level I
saw Alex entering the apartment complex.

"Hello Alex." I said smiling at him.

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked

"Wiouldn't you like to know." I replied and then
headed off to get some food.

****ALEX****

I watched Jeff leave and I just glared at him.  What
was he doing over at Ray's now?  But I had enough
things to worry about now and I headed up to go see
Ray.

When I got to Ray's apartment I knocked on the door.
I was sort of nervous I mean, I still wasn't sure how
I felt about the situation of what happened with him
and Jeff, but all I know is that I love him.

"Alex." Ray said opening the door.

"Hey." I replied

"Come in." Ray said and then I went inside.

"So have you decided what you wanted to do?" Ray asked

"Yea." I replied

"And?" Ray asked

"I still don't know what to feel about that incident
with you and Jeff.  I mean it just seems really weird
to think you would actually do that.  But all I really
know is that I love you.  And for now, that's all I
need to know." I said

"Thank you." Ray said wrapping his arms around me.

"Actually there is one thing I need to know." I said

"What's that?" Ray asked

"I ran into Jeff in the lobby, what was he doing
here?" I asked

"You won't believe this." Ray began "But Jeff moved in
to the apartment next door."

"Oh my God." I said sighing.

****JEFF****

After I was done eating I headed back to my new place,
but before I went into my apartment I knocked on Ray's
door.

"Yes?" Ray asked opening the door.

"So, Ray.  We're neighbors now." I said

"So?" Ray asked

"Well, I think maybe we should try to be civil with
each other." I replied

"You got a lot of nerve." Ray said "Asking me if we
could be civil after all that you've done."

"What do you mean?" I asked

"You've only been back in my life for about three
weeks and already you've tried to break me and Alex up
twice." Ray replied

"Twice?  What did I do?" I asked

"Well, for starters you made some stupid comments in a
chat room under my screen name so Alex could see." Ray
said

"You believe him?" I asked

"Of course I do.  I know you Jeff.  I know you would
do something like that." Ray said

"All right, fine, you got me there.  But I sware I was
only doing it for me.  I don't have a internet service
up and I didn't know Alex was in that chat room." I
replied

"Save it." Ray said

"Wait a second.  Did you say I TRIED to break you up
twice?" I asked

"Yea. So? Are you going to try and go for a third
time?" Ray asked

"So, you mean, after you told Alex about what you did,
he's still with you?" I asked

"You better believe it." Alex said walking up behind
Ray and putting his arm around Ray's shoulder.

"Well, good luck to you Alex." I said "You're going to
need it after Ray goes ballistic and does something to
you."

Then I went into my apartment.

"Dammit!" I said to myself "That stupid Alex is still
with Ray."

Then I went and sat down on my couch and thought out
loud.

"If I can't break Alex and Ray up then I'm sure there
are other ways to bring Ray down.  As a matter of
fact, I know of other ways I can bring Ray down." I
said
