I'm not doing so well today. I think I'll kill off a character or two.
Excellent. Writing stories is great, you control an entire world, and if
you do something you don't like you can just erase it, take it back,
re-edit it, or make it a dream and go SURPRISE!!!. Yeah. So stupid.
Angry. Grr..... today is not a good day, but this isn't a forum for me to
vent. This is story time! BUT before we begin, I just need to rant a
little on how people need to respect other peoples views. No I'll save
that for the end.

Ok this chapter is dedicated to the author of Storm Front. I was addicted
to taht story and spent copious amounts of time reading and re-reading it.
Partly because I have no life... but partly because it was so good. GOOD.
Alright story yes. Focus! Usual disclaimer, blah blah blah. Dirty stuff
maybe, steal it and die stuff like that. With that said. Here we go!

Running Through Blind

Chapter 3

Rhys walked through the front door of his house. His parents cars weren't
parked outside, so he assumed they were working late again. He climbed up
to his room and dumped his bag by his desk, and walked to the washroom. He
turned on the sink and waited for the water to get warm. He felt dirty,
and grungy. He splashed the water against his face and starred at himself
in the mirror. His eyes looked from behind his glasses straight into there
reflection. He was tired. So tired.. He turned off the lights in the
washroom and walked back into his room. He sat down at his desk and turned
on the computer.

~ No New E-mails~

He opened messenger and word and began on his work.

So tired...

The light in his room glared against the screen and he blinked back in
pain. He stood up and turned on the disc player. The music played softly
in the background as he walked to his dresser. He loosened his tie, and
began to unbutton his shirt. Sliding off his blazer he carelessly cast it
aside, he pulled his sweater off his head and threw it in a pile on his
floor. Undoing his belt, he slid it out of his pants and placed hooked it
onto a hook. Stripping off the rest of his clothes he removed a clean pair
of boxer shorts and a t-shirt from his dresser. Putting them on felt
comfortable. The light cotton fabric felt good against his skin. The
doorbell rang, and he walked down the stairs to get it. Odd, he wasn't
expecting anyone. His parents would have used their key to get in...

Opening the door, there stood Kyle. His face showed signs of nervousness.
He looked a bit agitated as well, as though he were about to run.

"What are you doing here Kyle."

Kyle said nothing. He just walked into the Rhys' house.

"Kyle are you doing alright?"

The swelling on the side of Kyle's head was gone. He continued to remain
silent. But slowly he raised his hand to Rhys' hand. The contact of their
skin made Rhys shiver. Slowly, Kyle stepped forward and brushed his lips
against Rhys. His soft lips barely making contact, but teasing Rhys to no
extent. Both boys savoured the moment. Their scents intermixed and their
hand interlocked tightly. As quickly as it had began, the kiss ended.

"Kyle, I..."

"Shhh"

Kyle motioned to his lips to silence Rhys. Still holding Rhys hand he led
them to Rhys' room. Closing the door, he moved faster this time and kissed
Rhys harder. Slightly opening his mouth, Kyle tongue danced lightly
against Rhys. Teasing him, intoxicating him. Kyle kissed Rhys' cheek
softly. Moving closer to his ear. He took Rhys' earlobe into his mouth
and began to lightly suck on it. Their hands explored each others chest
all the while. Kyle then moved down and began to suck softly at Rhys' neck
and feathered it with kisses. Rhys' groaned in pleasure. Their hands met
up and held each other. The strong grip between the two sent charges up
his hand.

Rhys moved forward and they began to kiss again. Rhys broke the kiss to
look into Kyle's eyes. Brushing back Kyle soft silken hair, he blushed.
They held each other lightly. Rhys tucked his head into the crook of
Kyle's neck. The moment was perfect. And beautiful and undescribably
calm...

An alarm rang in the distance.

"BEEP" "BEEP" "BEEP"

Kyle shoot up from his bed. His uniform was wrinkled and his hair messed
up. Looking to his side he found no one. He was alone in his room, and he
could not see light from his window. He looked at his clock. 6:00 am.

He felt alone.

Rhys' House

Rhys walked to the closet in his room. Inside was his prized possession.
He removed it from its case. The smooth varnished dark brown wood
glistened in the light. His cello. His art...

lifting the instrument, he couldn't stop marveling at its light weight. He
ran his hand down gently against the smooth neck. The strings felt cool
against his hands. His hands held the bow lightly. Sitting down in his
seat, he placed the cello between his legs. A comfortable feeling filled
his body. Tightening the bow, he placed it down. Having tuned the cello
he placed the hair of the bow on the string and began to play. The music
began to spill out. Chord upon chord. His fingers flowed gracefully over
the board. Up and down they danced, like lovers caught in a intricate
minuet. His bow, a fury of motions. Flying back and forth over the
strings. Sweeping movements. The song turned from a face paced gavotte,
to a slow mellow movement.

Then the song ended. The trills still stood hung in the air. The deep
chords and the light staccatos, like heavy waves, and light raindrops...
Beautiful.

He began again. This time he played the Swan by Saint-Saen. The music
once again filled his room. The harrowing notes clung as his fingers
climbed slowly up the neck towards the finger board. Rhys swayed with the
music.

The door opens. The music stops...

"Rhys, dear, are you going to have some dinner?"

"Yes mum, in a bit though. Just going to play a little longer."

"Sure. Dinners ready when you want it."

The flow was over. The music no longer seemed to fly... Rhys replaced the
cello gingerly back into the case. Although the lid of his case closed,
the rich scent of the varnish and wood seemed to linger about faintly.
Rhys opened his door and walked down the stairs.

Rhys sat at the table and ate quietly. The food, although flavourful and
rich, seemed not to thrill, or stir any hunger in him. Excusing himself
politely, Rhys returned to his room. Having completed his work, he went to
sleep.

Rhys slept deeply that night. Unmoving. He woke up to the usual blaring
of his alarm. He stripped off his boxers and shirt and walked into the
bathroom. He stepped into the shower and felt the warm water coat his
body. He enjoyed the warm feeling that enveloped him. After lathering up
and shampooing he stepped out of his washroom. He enjoyed the clean
feeling. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he stepped out of his room.
There sitting on his bed was Kyle.

"Holy shit!!! What the Fuck are you doing here Kyle?"

"Thought you might need a ride to school today. Plus I was gonna wake you
up to make sure you got there on time. Enjoy your shower?"

"For your information, yes. Now get out so I can change."

"Sure, sure no problem. O and you better dress warmly, it looks like your
getting a bit cold. Its pretty nippy out." Rhys blushed deeply and Kyle
just laughed and left the room.

After dressing and packing his bag, Rhys left his room and found Kyle in
the kitchen waiting for him. There prepared for him was some cereal
prepared.

"Awww how sweet, we just met and you've made me breakfast. O Kyle, Marry
me now!"

"Rhys, sarcasm is so overrated. And you better eat fast, were going to be
late."

"Don't rush me. For all you know be allergic to this."

"Are you? No? Good so eat!!!"

"Dominatrix much, marriage proposal withdrawn"

"I turned it down anyway!"

"Whatever. Lets just go then. Mr. I'm-to-good-for-you."

"Fine we will. The cars over there."

"O sec. BYE MOM, KYLE IS GIVING ME A RIDE TO SCHOOL. SEE YOU LATER."

"OK DEAR"

With the two having exchanged shouts, Kyle and Rhys took off.

Rhys stepped into the passenger side of the car.

"So... What brings you to this neck of neighbourhood. And wait. I never
told you where I live. Are you stalking me."

"Close, its called school reference and phone number listings."

"Ahhh. Makes sense."

The ride to school was basically uneventful. The boys chatted and joked.
At school, they parked and walked into homeroom. The homeroom advisor
noticed the pair. He smiled to himself. It was good that Rhys was
connecting with someone. The morning passed as usual. The classes,
uneventful. The boys met up again at lunch and sat together. Life had
turned for the best for both boys.

End part 4

no rant today actually. I changed my mind. I'm a big liar. We'll see
where the story takes us though. Send suggestions. However, it will not
be getting uber skanky, or smutty anytime soon. Rhys may stay a virgin for
a long time yet. Or maybe not. It all depends on how the relationship
builds. This story is more, to me, about building a relationship of trust
and dependance, more than sex. Sex to me is more of a culmination. And
explosion of feelings, and the characters are so not ready for that, even
though they are teenagers with raging hormones. I'm a liar. I said I
wouldn't rant and I did, I even lied about what I'd rant about. Bad
author. I deserve a spanking. Lucky me....
