Subject: Scott and Alex: Chapter 6

Hey everyone! Thanks you SO MUCH for all the input I've been getting, it's
really really awesome. I tried to respond to everyone's emails, but if i
didn'te just email me again lol.I'm glad that most of you have commended me
for having content instead of just wild sex scenes, that's really
enchouraging. There will be sex scenes, and there is a reason there haven't
been any so far. Trust me, I know where I'm going with the story:

CHAPTER 6:

*"You're gonna hold me in case I get scared, right?" I smiled mischievously.
"No, I have a date with the girl next door remember?"
I smacked him. (Not hard!)
"Yes, of course I will." He rolled his eyes.*

*

I swear to God, I will never watch a scary movie again! Ugh, I feel like
such a girl. They scare the shit
out of me though, which is probably why I only watch them when I'm with
friends. And Scott has to
be there too, 'cause he's the only one who wants to deal with me jumping
around and yelling my
head off. It's not MY fault scary movies creep me out!

"Last night was awful." I groaned, sipping coffee in the breakfast room. My
bleary eyes were cast
around the room, empty except for Scott, Lindsay and Jen.
"Why?" asked Scott smiling. Well, *someone's* perky this morning.
"I didn't get to sleep till 4."
"Why?" Jen asked.
"'Cause your stupid brother here decided we were going to watch Disturbia
last night, and it scared
the crap out of me!"
Jen laughed, and then asked: "But Scott had a game last night."
"We watched about half of the movie, and then I got Alex into bed at about
12:00."
"Oh, okay."
"A lot of good it did me, I kept envisioning that creepy guy every time I
heard something move."
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Scott asked.
"You would have made fun of me!" I said, exasperated.
"No I wouldn't-"
I glared at him.
"Okay, maybe a little."
Jen just laughed.
"Scott, are you driving us to school, or am I?" Jen asked.
"Well, my car only seats two stupid, so what do you think?"
Jen smacked him playfully.
"Well, I have gymnastics after school, and so does Alex. Why don't you take
Alex in your car, and I'll
take Lindsay. Then, I'll take Alex home after gymnastics. You can take
Lindsay home with you after
school."
"You want me to wait 'Lex?"
"Why? I'll be fine; I'll be home around 5 anyways."
"Okay."

Alexis stumbled out of bed. She walked downstairs, in dirty and stained
clothes that contrasted to
the obvious wealth of the house around her. She hated the fact that her
parents were rich, and never
home.
"This is the problem with the world." She thought. "No one's ever there. No
one cares about anyone
else."
She began to cry as she packed her backpack, concealing a knife and pills to
help her through the
day.
She walked out to her car, the dreamy Mercedes Benz that she received for
her 18th birthday. She
hated it. It was a symbol of the world she didn't belong in, but was a part
of.

"Hey Scott, over here!"
"Hey!"
I grabbed him, trying not to get lost in the crazy, crowded lunch room. We
grabbed our food, and
headed out to the willow tree. We left the lunch room, and heard screaming.
We ran towards a
crowd of people in the halls, and I recognized Lindsay's voice frantically
yelling "Call the Nurse!"
before she broke into sobbing.

Scott and I were running, voices were screaming, and teachers were yelling
for quiet as a full scale
riot broke out.
Suddenly, Scott grabbed me, his eyes focused on the cause of the commotion,
his face pale white,
with a sickly green tinge.
The world slowed. Everything lost its sound, its color; it was as if
everything became two-
dimensional, and flat. I could hear Clocks playing gently in the background,
as people rushed around
in slow motion, their faces contorted with fear and confusion.
There, looking more innocent than I have ever seen her laid Alexis, Her hair
matted with something,
and her shirt stained red. She lay in a pool of shiny, reddish brown liquid.
"Is that..." I started, but stopped to catch Lindsay, who collapsed sobbing.
"Blood." Scott finished weakly.

"What is going on!? Yelled my English teacher, Ms. Samuels, who ran towards
the panicking crowd.
The screaming got worse, and Scott grabbed Lindsay, because I was getting
pushed by two sobbing
cheerleaders, and therefore losing my grip on her. He pulled me close, while
supporting her, in an
attempt to keep track of me in the crowd that was quickly losing control and
spinning off into a
chaotic mess. The yelling got worse, as the hallway became packed to the
brim, and students started
panicking. Their screams and shouts echoed, and fed off of each other.
"She's bleeding!"

"She must have been hurt somehow!"

"She's dead!"

"Oh my God! She was shot!" yelled a hyperventilating cheerleader named
Sarah.

"Someone shot her?!"

"WHAT?! WITH A GUN?!

"THERE'S A GUN!!" screamed a girl named Chelsea.

All hell broke loose as about a hundred screaming teenagers tried to
simultaneously run, scream, hug
the closest person, and get out of the mass of people. The fire alarm went
off, and the sprinklers
doused everyone! I turned and made out through the falling water that a
teacher was hstanding by
the alarm, with a look of intense sadness on her face, which was directed
towards Alexis's limp body,
the dried blood absorbing the water, and trickling along the hallway.
"EVERYONE IN THE AUDITORIUM NOW!" she yelled.
The loudspeaker crackled for a minute
"Attention staff and students, please report to the auditorium in a calm and
timely manner, this is not
a drill, Thank you."
The loudspeaker repeated this message several times.
I made my way to the auditorium with Scott, who was still carrying Lindsay.
The crowd had become
deathly quiet, a heavy blanket permeated only by the strangled sobs of the
girls and the endless
sound of foot after foot stepping towards the auditorium.
