Secret Rebel Romance

Ch.12 Paradox.

The next day I wake up in Adrian's arms. He held me so close and tight to
him, as if he never wanted to let me go. I didn't want to get out of bed
and break this serenity, but my bladder was seconds away from combusting. I
slowly moved Adrian's right arm from around my waist and carefully got up
from the bed, so I wouldn't disturb him.

I walked to the bathroom to release my bladder which felt like
forever. Afterwards, I'd go downstairs to check if my mom has left for
work.

Surely, she did and Adrian and I were free to roam the house and enjoy it
together.

Adrian was still asleep and I thought it might be a good idea to make him
breakfast for when he wakes up.

I cooked French toast, sausages, scrambled eggs, and bacon with a cup of
OJ.

I presented the meal to Adrian as soon as it was ready, so it would stay
warm from him. I walked up the stairs to see that Adrian had taken up most
of the bed and rolled over on his stomach. He looked like a god with the
morning sunlight peaking through the drapes, on to his defined, muscular
back, enhancing the color of his dark brown. I was savoring this moment.

I slowly climbed on top of him and started kissing his neck and nibbling on
his ear.

"Wake up big guy" I whispered in Adrian's ear.

"Morning babe" Adrian groaned and and smiled a little with his eyes still
closed.

"I have something for you" I said grinning stupidly.

"Yeah? What's that?" Adrian said.

"Why don't you take a look at the night stand" I suggested.

"Mmmmm, I'm so fucking hungry right now. You're fucking amazing" Adrian
said turning over on his back and giving me a tight hug.

As Adrian was eating his breakfast, I decided to hop in the shower, brush
my teeth, and clean my face. I knew I wouldn't be doing much today, but I
had to get back into the routine since school was starting in a couple of
days.

I started to grow anxious. I wondered how Adrian would act towards me being
back in school, but as a couple. I didn't know what expect since he's
having a hard time coming out. Nonetheless, he asked me to be patient and
work with him and with all due respect, as his boyfriend, I was willing to
do so.

I slipped into some shorts and laid on my back next to Adrian who had
already finished eating and was now on his laptop.

"That was an amazing breakfast and I had such an amazing time with you last
night" Adrian said grabbing my hands.

"Same here babe. We're definitely doing this more often. Now that I know I
can get away with it." I said.

"Of course we are....... This kid is such a tool" Adrian laughed.

"Who ya talking with?" I asked.

"Your buddy Tom" Adrian said jokingly.

"You're such a little girl" I said brushing him off.

"I'm kidding babe. He's coming to pick me up and take me home in a few"
Adrian laughed leaning in to kiss me. "I really don't wanna go to be
honest."

"Neither do I! But we gotta get ready for our last year in middle school."
I said.

"Kinda bittersweet isn't it?" Adrian asked in concern.

"Yeah man. I'm just excited to see everyone again. Especially Joey!" I said
enthusiastically.

"Haven't seen him since our steamy night at Loki's" Adrian laughed.

Adrian leaned in to kiss me again and enjoy the few minutes we had with
each other until Tom came to pick him up. Adrian and I tossed each other
around on the bed, wrestling and tickling each other. He enjoyed making me
laugh and smile like it was his job. He valued what we had which made me
appreciate him even more.

Three beeps sounded off, signaling Tom was there and for Adrian to hurry
up. Adrian didn't really bother getting dressed. It was still nice outside,
so he just ran outside with his shorts and backpack on. No shirt or
underwear on. He didn't really care.

"Bye babe! Ill call you when I get home" Adrian said.

"Okay. Later babe" I said.

Adrian got into Toms Black Jeep grand Cherokee with black rhymes, and
tinted windows. I stood at my front door waving.

"What's up good looking?" Tom shouted.

Adrian punched Tom on his arm with a discomforting look on his face. Tom
was laughing and I couldn't help but laugh and blush myself as I walked
back inside the house.

I didn't have much to fill out my day, so the next couple of hours I made
myself something to eat, played video games, and cleaned my room. Adrian
and I had made a mess in the past day and I knew my mom would flip if she
saw my room this way.

After I cleaned my room I decided to log into MySpace to see what everyone
was up to. As I suspected, everyone was getting ready to go back to school
and limiting their activities.

I saw that Mike was online, so I decided to log into Skype and give him a
call so we can video chat and clarify things. Mike answered the call.

"Hey you." Mike said distastefully.

"You're not really mad at me are you?" I asked in concern.

"Nahh. It was just unexpected and kinda came from the left field. When we
video chat, it would be our time together and with his hands all over you
like that, It was a bit much" Mike confessed.

"I totally get it. If I were in your shoes, I probably would've reacted the
same way. But I just wanted you know that I didn't do that to intentionally
make you upset." I said.

"Don't you think I know you a little better than that. I know you would
never do anything like that" Mike laughed.

"Okay cool. I've been freaking out for the past day wondering if you hated
me or not." I laughed in relief.

"Never bro!" Mike laughed.

Mike and I talked for several hours that day. He was really excited to
start playing soccer for Highschool this year. He has been practicing all
summer to be better and faster.

Soccer was Mikes life. He was extremely dedicated to becoming the best. I
loved his determination and I'd support him all the way till the end.

Mike was gonna head down to the fields to practice a little more and told
me he wanted to see me tomorrow. Of course I would agree to this.

Our call ended and I saw that I had a message on MySpace. I open up the
message and it was Tom. What does this guy have to say to me now? I knew it
upset Adrian that Tom and I would talk. But that wasn't going to stop me
from befriending him. Whomever Adrian felt insecure about would never stop
me. Besides, I felt like it was really friendly. No sexual attraction what
so ever.

"Damn bro! You have a nice ass body ;D" Tom typed.

"LOL! You think so? Thanks man. I like your jeep" I replied.

"Yeah dude, you workout? And yeah she's my baby :) maybe you can take a
ride in her one day"

"I don't actually. I guess it just comes naturally lol. I would be down for
that :)"

"Lucky you. I work hard for these guns... If you do come for a ride, you
can't tell your boy Adrian. He's got some type of soft spot for you." Tom
typed.

At that point, I started to wonder if it would be a good idea sneaking
behind Adrian's back. Even if it was just friends hanging out, would that
be breaking our trust? I had to ponder on that for a little. Tom was also
becoming suspicious about mine and Adrian's relationship. I knew Adrian
wasn't ready to come out just yet and it would make me a horrible person if
I mentioned it to anybody.

"Lol I bet ;) yeah he's like my bestfriend I guess" I typed.

"There's def room in this world for more than one bestfriend :) tell him to
relax a little lol" Tom replied.

"Of course there is lol but wouldn't u feel silly being friends with a 8th
grader and you're a jr in Highschool?" I typed.

"I don't really give a fuck. If you're chill and can have a good time, than
it doesn't matter."

"Lol ok. Just asking :)"

"No probsz :) here take down my number in case you ever need anything
555-8621"

"Awesome! Thanks man :D"

"I'm heading to the gym now. Later" Tom typed.

I wondered if Tom's intention were in fact just to be friends. He was
throwing me mixed signals. Adrian felt threaten and insecure when it came
down to Tom and I interacting. I knew for sure I didn't wanna jeopardize
what Adrian and I had. I decided to become friends Tom to a certain extent.

Mom finally arrived home with a lot of shopping bags. I assumed she went
school shopping for me and in fact she did. She had another bag in her hand
but I guess it was for her.

I went upstairs to put all of my belongings inside of my backpack. After a
few minutes, my mom shouts my name and asks me to come to her room for a
minute.

Was I in trouble? I didn't think I did anything wrong and I knew for sure
that she had no idea Adrian had slept over last night.

"Sit down.. I wanna talk to you about what happened on the 4th of July. You
really scared me and I was worried sick. I have something for you and I
believe this will make you experience some responsibility. Here's your
first cell phone. Whenever you need me, you call me no matter what. My
number is already on speed dial. Please, don't take advantage of this. I
love you" mom lectured handing over my first cell phone.

" wow!!!! Really?? Thanks mom! Again, I'm so sorry for my actions! I don't
know what I was thinking. Thanks a lot. I love you too." I replied giving
mom a hug.

I immediately rushed to the computer to gather all of my friends number
from MySpace. I knew Adrian, Jahlil, And Anika's number by heart. But I was
the first of my friends to actually have a cell phone. I was really
excited.

Tom also had a cell phone, so I took down his number and sent him a text
telling him this was my number.

Later that night I called Adrian on my cell phone and told him the news. He
was excited but something was bothering him.

"Wow babe.. Lucky you." Adrian said.

"Is everything okay?" I asked in concern.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just extremely nervous about starting school in this
type of relationship. I really don't know how I would respond to other
people reactions." Adrian confessed.

"I totally get where you're coming from. This is my first actual
relationship, so I don't know how to respond or what to expect either. But
I guess you have more to worry about. I'm sorry babe. Like I said, I'm
willing to work with you and be patient with you." I said.

"You're truly amazing and understanding. Thanks a lot babe." Adrian said.

I wanted to tell Adrian about what Tom and I talked about earlier that day,
but I was hesitant because I didn't know how he would react. He kinda asked
me to be his boyfriend so I wouldn't hook up with other guys. But it's not
like I plan on hooking up with Tom. We were just friends. I decided to just
let it go and face the problem when it's at hand. Besides, he already had
enough problems to ponder upon anyway. I would hate to accumulate more
stress for him.

Adrian and I talked on the phone and watched tv together until we fell
asleep on the phone together.
