This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the
summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although
this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here
and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the
One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's
Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter
three stories all contain sexual content.
If you enjoyed reading this story, you can email me at

you all!

The next thing I felt was a bucket of water being splashed on my
face. I jolted up in the beach chair and realized it was just a dream. The
twins were laughing. Tyler had a cup in his hand and was rolling on the
ground.

	"That's...what you...get...for sleeping!" He said in-between
laughs.

"Ha, ha that's sooo funny." I got up and knocked him into the
pool. When Tommy saw that he started running. Knowing that I was after him.

We ran around the yard a few times before I was able to tackle
him. He was still laughing. But soon him and I were having a little
wrestling match in their yard. Tyler was out of the water and chanting my
name. He wanted me to win so he could make fun of Tommy. But sadly I lost
and Tommy won. He was sitting on my chest and waving to the
"crowd". Rubbing in his victory.

The three of us swam around for a little while longer. We then went
in to change because Mrs. Dawson called us in for dinner. Sadly, this time
there were no accidents.

Mrs. Dawson fixed steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and mac &
cheese. When we all sat down I noticed that Ginger, their sister, and their
dad were here. This was the first time I saw their older sister and their
father. Ginger looked a lot like the twins expect her eyes were
hazel. Everyone in the family had the same color hair, dirty blonde.

"So Shawn, tell us about yourself." Mrs. Dawson said after all the
plates were made.

"Well I went to George Washington Middle School. I don't think the
Tommy and Tye...I mean Tyler went there." Their mom shook her head. "I
usually get straight As in school unless I hate the teacher. Then I get a
B. I have an older sister. She is a senior-"

"Really?" Mrs. Dawson interrupted. "Ginger is a senior as
well. What's your sister's name? Ginger may know her."

	"Amy Washington."

"That weird creepy lesbian?" Ginger asked.

"Ginger! You do not talk about someone like that!" Her mom said.

	I giggled. "Yeah that's her."

"She's in my Biology class. Is she dating that one girl? I think
her name is DJ."

"Yeah. They've been together for a while now. They act like they're
married sometimes." At first I thought Ginger would be a homophobe from her
description on my sister. But she seemed to be okay with it. Her dad, well,
he wasn't.

"Let's don't talk about homosexuals right now." He said. "I don't
want to get sick."

"Greg! I told you that you're going to have to stop being so narrow
minded!" That was obviously the mom.

"I ain't going to let this world be overrun by those kind of
people, Shirley! This place was made for us straight folks and that's it!"
Tommy, Tyler, and Ginger looked down at their food and just ate while their
parents argued.

"You're upsetting our guest, Greg! Now be quiet or else you won't
be staying here tonight!"

"As long as he ain't one them I'll be quiet. Are you one of them,
boy?" He was obviously talking to me.

"Actually sir, I am gay." When I said that, it set him off.

Mr. Dawson picked up his plate and threw it in my direction. I
ducked in time to miss it though. "Get out of my house you filthy fag!"

"Dad! Leave him alone!" Tyler yelled. "He didn't do anything to
you!"

"Are you a fag too? If you are you can get the fuck out as yell!" I
was almost in tears but I was able to keep it together.

Both the adults started yelling at each other. "Fuck this family!"
Ginger yelled. "Tommy, Tyler, and Shawn! Come with me! Let's take Shawn
home!"

The four of us got up quickly and left the arguing
couple. Mrs. Dawson yelled at Ginger to use better language as we exited
the dining room.

"Sorry about our dad." Ginger said. "He was raised in the deep
south and believes all gays are wrong."

All I managed to say was "It's okay."

When we reached Ginger's car, I was shocked to notice that it was
the same as Amy's except Amy's is white and Ginger's is black.

"Before your sister and DJ started dating your sister and I were
close friends. We both got our license near the same time so we got the
same car. We went with the yin yang thing because people said we were polar
opposites." I then remembered Amy talking about Ginger once before. "I was
the first to know she was a lesbian. She use to tell me everything. But
then one day DJ moved here. First thing she did was announce she was a
lesbian. Amy started drifting away from me and started hanging with
DJ. Next thing I knew Amy just stopped talking to me."

By the time Ginger was finished telling her story, all four of us
were in her car. "I'm sorry, Ginger. I could talk to Amy and try to get you
too close again."

"Thanks but no thanks. The twins already have a gay friend. If dad
found out I had one too he'd kill all of us." I knew she meant that as a
joke but it scared me. It also scared the twins.

While we were backing out of the driveway, we could see a dish
smash against a window. At that moment I started to cry. Tommy was in the
back with me. He scooted over into the middle set and held me. My crying
soon became soft sobs but Tommy still held me. My head resting on his
shoulder. His right arm around me. My left foot and his right
intertwined. It felt good.

Tommy turned his head and started to whisper in my ear. "The thing
that I didn't want to tell you earlier is that I'm gay."

	I looked at him. "Really?"

"Yeah. I told my whole family about a year ago and my dad went
ballistic. Ever since my mom and dad fight like cats and dogs. He has
`disowned' all of us kids. Me because I'm gay and Ginger and Tye because
they support me. The only reason why my mom hasn't left dad is because she
has nowhere to go."

"I'm sorry, Tommy. I wish I could do something to help you guys."

"I'm okay." Ginger said. "I'm heading out to college after this
year. I think I'll be able to handle it."

"And Tommy and I don't stay home too often. We stay with friends."
Tyler said. "But I think there is something you could do for Tommy." He
winked.

I looked at Tommy. "What is it?"

Tommy blushed and then looked angrily at Tyler. So Tyler responded
for him. "When he found out you and I were closer friends, he has wanted me
to invite you over. He's like crazy about you dude! Why else would he keep
holding you the way he is?"

We were at a red light so Tommy used took the advantage to move
over a seat and look out the window. I could tell he was
embarrassed. Almost as much as when I saw him in his room today.

I then took advantage to move over too. I scooted into the middle
and grabbed his hand. I gave it one good squeeze and he turned to me. "I
only have one question."

"What is it?" He asked with the cutest smile I've seen in a while.

"You don't have a boyfriend do you?" I said.

	"Kinda..." He said sadly.

I let go of his hand. "Oh...who is t?"

He then grabbed my hand and said. "You"

I smiled at him and then we kissed. His lips were better than they
were in my dream this afternoon.
