Lucas' point of view

Sky is passed out, he has been for about an hour now but I can't seem to
sleep tonight. So I've just been laying here beside him, watching him
sleep. It may seem creepy to some, but when you find someone you really
like and you find yourself awake at night while they sleep next to you. I
dare you to not watch. You won't be able to.  You'll be so fascinated that
you won't even realize how long you have been staring at him or her.

Sky was obviously dreaming, because his eyes lids were constantly
fluttering, I wonder what he was dreaming about. A noise near Sky's window
caught my attention it was a beautiful crow, no, a raven and it seemed to
be watching us, it flew away after about a minute and I got lost in my own
thoughts again. I was playing back what Sky and I did tonight; I couldn't
comprehend what had happened to us. What is this connection we have? Why is
it so strong? I mean I'm not complaining, I've never had a more powerful
orgasm before in my entire life and we didn't even have actual sex. I can
only imagine the pleasure he and I will feel when or if we ever actually
have sex. I looked down at Sky again and kissed his cheek, he twitched and
snuggled closer into me I just smiled and drifted off to sleep with him in
my arms. I couldn't be any happier.

I was woken up by Sky's phone; the alarm was still set for 7AM. I guess he
still planned to go to school today. I felt him reach over and grab his
phone from the nightstand that was next to me. As he turned off the alarm
and began to back away towards his pillow my eyes were wide open and they
caught his gaze.

"Hey." Sky said.

"Hi." I leaned up and kissed his cheek, just in case either of us had some
horrid morning breath.  "Are you going to school today?" I asked.

"Of course I am." Sky laughed as he jumped up and walked into his bathroom.
I grabbed my toothbrush from my bag and quickly joined him. Once we were
finish brushing our teeth Sky wrapped his hands around my neck and began to
kiss me, I opened my mouth and massaged his tongue with mine as we slowly
backed towards the shower.

"You like morning showers too, huh?" I asked as I turned the water on for
us.

"They wake me up, well sometimes and other times the hot water just puts me
right back to sleep." We laughed as we jumped into the shower once the
water was steaming hot.

We took turns washing each other slowly while still kissing here and
there. When we got out of the shower we quickly got dressed and walked over
to the kitchen it looked like Kat was still asleep but I swear I could
smell coffee.

"Is your mom up already?"

"Oh, yeah she likes to open shop early. She has some customers that like to
come here for some morning breakfast in the lounge." Sky explained as he
grabbed a couple pop tarts from the cabinet and threw me one. "Come on lets
go pick up Angel." Sky led me downstairs where we bumped into Kat talking
with a couple ladies that seemed to be Kats age.

"Morning ma, morning Ms. Sanders, Morning Mrs. Clark. Bye mom, bye
Ms. Sanders, bye Mrs. Clark." Sky greeted and said goodbye so fast that all
I had time to do was wave.

"Bye hun." Sky's mom was able to yell out before we disappeared downstairs.

I laughed. "Why are you in such a rush today?"

"Not a rush just those two women that were with my mom can really talk up a
storm. We would have surely been late if we stayed and chat. Especially
since you're a new face," Sky explained

"Hey my car is here in one piece." Sky announced.

I slapped Sky's butt as he walked over to the driver's side.

"Of course it is." I finished up my pop tart before I got into Sky's car. I
didn't want to get crumbs anywhere but sky just hopped in while still
eating. We pulled up to Angel's apartment building and Sky honked the horn.

"Hey, do we need to go get your sister?" Sky asked.

"Ah, don't worry she can take the bus." I said. Sky just had to give me one
look and already knew we were going to go get my sister.

"Sup guys." Angel hopped in the back and just lay out in the back seat.

"Tired?" I asked.

"Always," he let out a sigh as he closed his eyes to get some last few
minutes of rest before we got to school.

We picked up my sister who still blushed every time Sky talked to her. She
was obviously developing a crush on him; it was honestly pretty damn
cute. School was pretty normal today, seeing as it was nearing the end of
the year we really don't do much. Especially since we're seniors there's
really no point in us having to stay longer than 2 or 3 periods but
whatever, Sky likes to come so I'll stick around. After we dropped Angel
off Sky drove up to my place to drop off my sister. I looked over to Sky
and thought it was about time he met my parents.

"Hey Sky."

"Yeah?"

"Want to meet my parents?" I asked.

Sky just looked over at me with pure glee in his eyes.

"I'll take that as a yes?"

"I would love to meet them Luke." Sky leaned over and gave me a quick kiss
before got out of the car and caught up to my sister who was opening the
front door.

Skylar's Point of View

Oh man I'm so nervous to meet Luke's parents. They must be great people
though they have been with Luke through everything and he has showed no
sign of hate towards his parents. So obviously they have been supportive of
him every step of the way. I hope they like me though.

As we walked up to Luke's house I really began to notice what a nice area
they lived in. Their house was right in front of the beach which only made
the house look even more beautiful. We walked into the house and my jaw
dropped, it was like I just stepped into an actual house in Japan, at least
that's what it looked like to me. Where I stood was a little area where we
were supposed to take off our shoes, I followed Luke and Rin's lead and
just stood with my socks on. As we walked down the hallway which had
beautiful wood floors we passed by several beautiful paintings on the right
side of the wall and on our left is a glass room. The room is in the very
center of the house and looked like a garden. We got to the end of the
hallway and there are these wooden sliding doors in front of us, Luke slid
them open and there they were. Mr. and Mrs. Yoshida, they were on pillows
sitting on their knees around a table that had some tea and snacks on
it. Mrs. Yoshida quickly stood up and hugged me. I was taken by surprised
but I gladly hugged her back.

"You must be Skylar. You are so handsome, just like Lucas said."
Mrs. Yoshida was hugging me so tight I thought I might pass out from the
lack of oxygen.

"Okaasan (mother), please you're embarrassing me already." Luke said
sheepishly while looking down. I heard a deep voice begin to laugh and I
saw Luke's father get up and walk towards me.

Luke began to introduce everyone properly. "Sky these are my parents Yukiko
Yoshida and Katsumi Yoshida." Mr. Yoshida walked up and bowed and then
extended his hand for me to shake, I quickly accepted.

"It's very nice to meet you both."

"The pleasure is all ours Skylar. It comes to my understanding that you
helped my son when he was in a little trouble and I can't thank you enough
for it." Katsumi pulled me into hug. I started to blush uncontrollably.

"Otousan (father), now you're embarrassing me," Luke pleaded.

His parents just laughed and sat back down at their table, it looked like
they were playing some kind of game. Luke's father noticed my curiosity.

"It's called Shogi; it's kind of like your chess." Katsumi explained.

"Would you like some tea?" Yukiko offered while already pouring some tea
for me and Luke.

I looked over to Luke and he was blushing, for the first time since I met
him he was blushing. I couldn't help but laugh at him. We walked over and
sat next to his parents we drank our tea as we watched them finish their
game. I had no idea what was going on but they were so focused on what they
were doing I couldn't help but be intrigued. Hopefully Luke will show me
how to play one day. I heard the sliding door open and Riku walked in
shirtless. I nearly spat my mouthful of tea out. As I was coughing and
trying to catch my breath Lucas was patting my back trying to help me.

"I-I'm fine Luke." I coughed again. Riku has much more muscle than his
younger brother and he has abs for days. He was soaked in sweat and was
glowing bright red. By his attire it's obvious that he was working out or
jogging or something. He has on a tight skimpy pair of shorts with running
shoes and he has one of those arm strap iPod things. As he pulled out his
headphone buds he smiled and extended his hand to me.

"Hi, I'm Riku we didn't get a chance to meet the other day." I blushed and
shook his hand fast, hard and yeah I forgot to let go. Luke cleared his
throat and I snapped back to reality.

"Uh, uh yeah, I'm, I'm." I tried to speak but all I could do was stutter.

"He's Skylar, Riku." Luke and his family all began to laugh which just made
me blush even more. Luke quickly stood up.

"We'll be in my room." He said as he tried to help me up. I wasn't used to
sitting on my legs this way so it was a little difficult to move. Everyone
just laughed at me again. Once we were in the safety of Lucas' room I was
able to calm down again. I noticed there wasn't a bed but there was a desk
so I grabbed the chair and took a seat.

"Oh man was that embarrassing." I sighed as I relaxed into the chair.

"Relax babe, they love you." Luke said this as he pulled out some mats from
his closet. "I also noticed you couldn't take your eyes off my brother."
Luke teased.

"I-I-"I was too embarrassed to come up with something."

"Hey, relax I'm just teasing. No harm in looking." Luke laughed as he set
up the mats and pillows on the floor.

I quickly tried to change the subject. "Is that your bed?"

"Yeah, I figure I set it up now so I don't have to do it later."

"Luke, your house is beautiful. I feel so calm in here."

"Yeah Akihito made sure we were very comfortable."

"And right next to the beach you're so lucky. I wish I lived this close to
the beach." Luke walked over sat on my lap and wrapped his arms around my
neck.

"You can stay here anytime you like, I'm sure my mom would be ecstatic to
have you." Luke said as he nuzzled into my neck.

After staying at Luke's for most of the afternoon I decided to get home
early. I said goodbye to everyone and took off. The rest of the week was
pretty uneventful, I haven't seen that women since the bus stop incident. I
don't know if that was a good or bad thing but I wish I could find out more
about her.

It's finally Saturday, Lucas and I planned to go back to our spot and spend
the entire day there alone but Luke mentioned we should bring Angel. I felt
horrible ever since Luke has been around I've been seeing less and less of
my best friend so I thought it was a great idea to bring him along.

We got to the waterfall at around 10AM.

"Wow guys, this is just amazing. How did you find this place? It's so far
off the trails." Angel was in awe.

"I don't know we just ended up out here one day." I explained as I removed
my shirt and shoes, I couldn't wait to get in the water. Lucas was setting
up our blankets and cooler so we won't have to worry about it later and
Angel just jumped into the plunge pool with me. I looked over to Luke and I
noticed a jet black bird sitting on the tree just staring at him, it looked
a little creepy.

"Luke, get in here!" I yelled over to Luke. He quickly stripped down to his
trunks and jumped in with us. We spent a couple hours just swimming around
and jumping off the falls until we got hungry so we decided to take a break
and lay out.

After laying out for about an hour I heard the bushes moving behind us. I
sat up and looked over to the bushes. Who could that be? I thought to
myself. I waited to see who would emerge, from the amount of sound I was
hearing it sounded like there were two people coming our way. And then I
saw them, two men dressed in black suits they sort of looked like they
worked for the government or something. One of the men had long blonde
hair; his hair was so blonde it was almost white. He stood back while the
second man came forward; he's a real buff guy he looked extremely
intimidating.

"Luke, Angel, get up." I shoved them both and they slowly woke up.

"What is it?" Angel asked while rubbing his eyes. Just then the buff guy
spoke up.

"Skylar Andrews and Lucas Yoshida?"

"That's us and who are you?" I asked.

"You need to come with us." The buff guy demanded.

"What can we help you with?" Luke asked seriously as he stood up. I didn't
like this. Everyone's tension was growing I had a bad feeling about
this. The buff guy pulled out some sort of weird gun; it didn't look like a
normal gun though.

"This can be easy or it can be very difficult. Just do as I say and no harm
will come to either of you."

"Now hold on one damn minute just put the gun down." Angel got to his feet
and walked towards the two men.

"Angel no!" I yelled. And then the man pulled the trigger, it happened so
fast I couldn't do anything. A dart flew towards Angel and hit him in his
neck. He pulled out the dart and fell to the ground.

"Angel!" I ran over to my friend to see if he was ok.

"Bad move buddy." Luke said. He then lifted the buff guy off the ground and
was making a motion to throw him when all of a sudden Luke just dropped to
the ground and hard. The buff guy fell to the ground and quickly stood up
and cleaned off his jacket.

"Luke what's wrong? Get up!" I yelled as I got to my feet.

"I-I can't move it feels like, like I weigh a thousand pounds. Sky it, it
hurts." Luke struggled as he tried to move. I didn't understand what was
going on. Why were these men attacking us and why couldn't Luke move?

The buff guy pulled out his gun and aimed it at Luke. There's no way I'm
letting that happen again. I pulled a huge wave of water out of the plunge
pool lifted it right over my head and sent it right towards the two
men. They somehow floated over the wave. They weren't flying they just
floated there like they were in space. The buff man shot his gun while he
was floating and it hit Luke on the neck.

"Luke!" I yelled

"S-Sky r-r-run." Luke managed to squeeze that out before he passed out.

"I'm not running!" I yelled as I focused on the man with the blonde
hair. He has to be the one who was holding Luke down and made them float. I
sent him flying into the bushes. I grabbed the buff guy and sent him into
the plunge pool I focused as hard as could and froze the entire top layer
of water. That guy wasn't getting out any time soon. I turned to go deal
with the blonde guy but he was standing right behind me I tried to push him
away but before I could I just dropped to the ground. It feels like I'm
being crushed by some unseen force. The blonde guy walked over to the pool
and shattered the ice, with whatever force he's using to hold me down. He
then slowly walked over to the gun his friend dropped.

"Wh-what do you want from us?" I begged. He just laughed and aimed the gun
at me. I saw some sort of bird flying extremely close to the blonde and
then all of a sudden I saw a naked woman falling on him. She swiftly and
elegantly removed the gun from the blonde aimed it directly at his neck and
shot him. I got a clear look at the woman and it was her, the woman that
was following us.

"You? You're helping us?" I asked as I stood up finally free from that
force. The naked woman said nothing and walked over to the plunge pool. The
buff guy was pulling himself out of the water when he looked up she shot
him as well.

I'm so confused I don't know if I should be attacking her or thanking
her. She walked slowly towards me her beauty is hypnotizing when she was
directly in front of me I felt a sting on my stomach. I looked down and it
was a dart. She shot me too.

"Why?" I asked but then I passed out. She just watched me fall.

"Sky-Sky, baby wake up."

I could hear Lucas trying to wake me up, why was he holding my hand behind
my back? Why can't I move my feet? I slowly came to and began to look
around, Lucas wasn't holding me down I'm tied up! I bolted up as I tried to
break free from the ropes that were tied around my ankles and wrist but it
was no use. For some reason my telekinesis isn't working, what the hell is
going on?

"Sky calm down, we tried everything we aren't getting out of this anytime
soon." Luke scooted over and leaned against me. I took another look around
we're still at the falls then I remembered what happened. We were attacked
by those the men and-and that woman saved us. That woman! She shot me,
where the hell is she? I frantically began to look around for her but she
was nowhere in sight.

"Where is she?" I asked.

"We don't know when we woke up we were all tied up and lying next to each
other. She just took some of our clothes and hopped into the bushes." Angel
explained as we heard noise coming from the bushes.

"You're all finally awake." The woman said as she slowly walked closer to
us. " My name is Sofia, Sofia Rodriguez and I promise you I'm on your
side."

I laughed. "Our side? You shot me!"

"I'm sorry about that but their weapon neutralizes our abilities I had to
make sure you wouldn't hurt me." Sofia began.

Luke spoke up."Who are those men that attacked us? And where are they now?"

"Those men are part of a highly classified federal division that
specializes in dealing with people like us.  They were here to capture you
two and take you back to a facility where they would have run test and
experiments on you eventually trying to make you into one of them."

"One of them?" I asked.

"An agent, as you may have noticed one of those men had ability."

"What was it? I felt like I was being crushed." Luke asked.

"I would imagine so. He has the ability to control gravity, it's called
gyro kinesis." Lucas and I looked at each other as it all began to make
sense. The being crushed, the floating in mid air his ability, is
terrifying. I couldn't think straight because the pain from being crushed
was so intense.

"Okay and where are they now?" I asked.

"My partner took them away you don't need to worry about them for now."

She has a partner could it be my father? I started to get nervous I began
to sweat and my breathing picked up rapidly.

"Your partner he's my father isn't he?" I looked straight into her eyes as
I asked this.

She has an amazing poker face she's so calm and collected I couldn't read
her at all. Damn this drug or whatever it is she shot me with.

"No, he isn't. But I do work for your father Sky." I froze I didn't even
breathe.

Why am I so shocked? I knew this already, so why am I reacting this way? I
guess hearing her say out loud made it more real, what now?

Lucas spoke up again. "Why has Sky's father been having you tail us? What
does he gain from it?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Luke, Angel and I all looked at each other confusingly.

Sofia laughed as she took a seat on one of our folding chairs. "He's trying
to protect you Sky."

Protect me? He-he doesn't even care about me; I was just a test subject for
him.

"Look its better if he explains everything to you. He's on his way here
now. He should be here in a couple minutes. Just try to relax, like I said
I am on your side okay? He is on your side I know you may feel differently
about this right now but there's so much more going on here that you don't
know about. Sofia walked over to me placed her hand on my shoulder and
looked directly into my eyes.

"Please Sky give him a chance." Something about the way she talked it was
comforting, and I had no other choice but to trust her, at least for now.
So I nodded approvingly.

About 20 minutes later we heard the bushes moving again and a young man
emerged from them. Sofia walked over to him and they began to talk. I
looked more closely at the man. He's about 6'1, very well built, his hair
is red but it's shaved like a buzz cut and his eyes are green they look
like two emeralds. He walked over to where me, Luke and Angel sat and began
to cut our bounds.

"Sorry about tying you guys up, but from what Sofia has reported about you
two we couldn't skip any precautions." He smiled at us as he was explaining
himself. "My name is Cyrus Coleman." He shook each of our hands as we all
stood up. We each shook his hand skeptically. He just kept smiling. "I know
you don't trust us right now but I assure you, you're safe with us. Your
father- "

We heard the bushes moving again.  This was it I'm about to see my father
for the first time in 16 years. After all that has happened I'm not sure if
I'll be happy or furious to see him but I guess we were about to find
out. And there he was, my father. He looks just like me or rather I look
just like him, brown hair that we both kept short, brown eyes, both of us
relatively short, surprisingly I am as tall as him and I stand at about
5'9. He wears glasses though and of course he looks much older but we could
be twins. I took a step back as he got closer Lucas felt my discomfort and
grabbed my hand I looked over and he was smiling, I'm not though I gave him
a sad look. I'm still unsure about this.

My father looked directly at me and began to speak. "Hi son," was all he
said as tears came to his eyes.

I don't' know why but I also began to cry.

"I know I hurt you and I know I hurt your mother but before I even began to
try and explain myself I want you to know that I never stopped loving you
or her. You may not believe me when I say it but it's the truth son."

I was still sobbing like baby as he continued on.

"I'll admit at first this began as one big experiment with my main goal to
have my very own kinetic child that I could study and learn from. But the
moment you were born things changed, I changed.  But I was in too deep to
turn back. I was in the middle of trying to find a way to get you and your
mother as far away from me as possible. The research facility was making
huge progress in ways of finding other people with kinetic abilities thanks
to me. So as much as I wanted to take you and your mother and disappear I
couldn't. I needed to at least try and right my wrongs."

I dropped to ground where I stood and just sat there and absorbed
everything he was telling me. Lucas sat right next to me and never let
go. Angel crouched behind and began to rub my shoulders.

"Hey, we're right here with you don't' worry. Angel whispered into my
ear. I slowly regained control of myself as I leaned back into Angel.

"I purposely left clues for your mother to find. She needed to believe that
I didn't love you two; she needed to hate me, because I wasn't strong
enough to hate either of you. After you two were gone, I made sure I never
lost track of you, so everywhere you went I knew where you were. I got to
watch you grow up and Sky I'm so proud of you." My father began to choke up
again.

I stopped crying by now but I would still let out a tear here and there.

"Ok so about 3 years after you two were gone I helped 3 kinetic children
escape, which were Sofia, Cyrus and their other partner Jonathan. I was
able to get them and their parent's new identities and I was able to
successfully get them off the government's radar. After I was able to help
them escape I continued to help others escape, although I have to admit I
couldn't help many but at least I was able to get some of them out. I am
still the lead scientist in that research facility so I am able to find out
certain information which helps me make future plans on how to get someone
out of the facility. Three years ago I ran into a problem the government
began to send kinetic agents into the field to capture kinetics and bring
them in to try and make an army."

This was beginning to become a lot to take in but I needed to hear
everything.

"So you what, help the kinetics they target?" Lucas asked.

"Precisely, now of course I couldn't do this alone so I looked up some of
the children I helped escape all those years ago. I was able to contact 3
of them and they all agreed to help."

"He saved our lives, we owed him." Cyrus said proudly.

"If it wasn't for him you wouldn't even need saving." I hissed.

Cyrus was about to say something but my father stopped him, shook his head
and continued with his story.

"It's difficult for me to arrange to have all of these different kinetics
saved but if I can even help one get away then what I'm doing is well worth
the effort. Recently I was looking through some files on their targets and
that's when I saw your file son and Lucas'. I immediately sent Sofia to
watch over you and I kept Cyrus close by just in case she needed some
muscle."

"Muscle?" I asked.

"Cyrus is a geo kinetic, which means he can move earth with his mind. He's
quite skilled at what he can do, they all are. I wouldn't have been able to
save as many kinetics as I've been able to without their help."

"So what now?" I asked coldly.

"Well, those agents will return to the facility and report what went
wrong. They won't want to deal with resistance since there are plenty of
other easier targets they can go for. However I can't be sure exactly until
the order is actually given. Sofia and Cyrus will stick around just in case
but-"

I cut my father off. "No, I want you gone."

"But Sky I-"

"I said no!" I yelled and I could feel my powers coming back.

"You don't get to just pop back into my life after 16 years and just think
I'll listen to your sob story and forget. No! It doesn't work that way
father." I lifted him into the air.

"Sky! Put him down." I heard Cyrus but I just could care less, it's just me
and my father now. Then I felt the earth quake and when I looked to my left
I saw a huge boulder shooting straight for me I stopped it inches from my
face without moving a muscle. I tossed it right back towards Cyrus who
skillfully jumped onto the boulder and used it to launch himself towards
me. I was going to grab him and toss him aside but he stopped mid air and
it wasn't me doing it. It was Luke. Luke gently placed Cyrus down.

"Let me talk to him." Luke said to Cyrus as he walked over to me.

"Sky what are you doing?"

"He has to pay, he hurt me Luke." I said in tears.

"But he's back now, Sky he's trying to reconnect. You're not the only one
that was hurt. He sacrificed his family and he lost everything."

"He brought that on himself!" I threw my father into the plunge pool.

"That's it!" Cyrus punched the ground and I sank right into it only my head
was visible.

"Hey! Let him go!" Luke begged Cyrus.

"Not until he calms down." But I don't need my hands to use my abilities I
looked over at the plunge pool and froze it again. Only this time my father
was the one who would drown.

Everyone looked at the pool horrified and as if some invisible truce had
been signed Lucas, Cyrus and Sofia ran to the pool. In the meantime I was
able to telekinetically free myself from the ground. I flew towards the
pool to watch him drown. I wanted to see him suffer. I was completely over
come with rage, all I could see was him, and all I heard was nothing.

"I'll melt the ice; you two get him out of there." Luke ordered as he began
to blast fire onto the ice. His hands looked like flamethrowers. Once there
was enough room for someone to get into the pool Sofia dove in shifting
into a dolphin mid dive. I noticed what they were doing so I threw Cyrus
and Lucas back and refroze the hole they made in the pool.

"Dammit he's completely lost it. Cyrus can you break that layer of ice?"

"Yeah but not with Sky there, he'll just toss me around like a rag doll and
refreeze the pool."

"I'll distract him; you get Sofia and Andrews out of there."

"Ok, be careful."

"He won't hurt me."

"Are you sure about that?" Luke just took flight and headed straight for
me. He began to talk to me in that soft yet powerful voice that gave me
chills.

"Sky please, this isn't you. You don't want to kill your father. You're
letting your emotions control you and your abilities Sky. "I could hear
Lucas but I couldn't stop myself he was right, my emotions are in control.
My anger is overpowering my self control and I don't know how to stop it.

In the meantime Cyrus ripped a huge boulder out of the ground and yelled
towards the pool."Sofia get back!" He tossed the boulder into the air
jumped up and slammed his fist into the ground. The boulder then came
crashing down into the pool which shattered all of the ice covering
it. Sofia came shooting out of the water with Skylar's father holding
tightly onto her back she shifted into her human form which made Sky's
father lose his grip she then shifted into a huge silverback gorilla and
snatched up Sky's father and landed softly on the ground. Mr. Andrews was
coughing up a storm trying to catch his breath.

"I'm going to end this." Cyrus announced.

"No! Lucas is the only one who can get through to him. Just give them
time." Mr. Andrews pleaded with Cyrus. Cyrus reluctantly stood down and
watched the boys float in mid air, they weren't saying a word. They were
just staring into each other's eyes.

Lucas pulled Skylar into a tight hug and shushed and cooed, "It's ok, I'm
here now, so you can stop this." Skylar finally began to calm down as they
floated softly to the ground.

"Sky!" Angel yelled as he ran towards Sky and Luke. Luke just threw up his
hand signaling Angel to stop.

"Luke, I-I don't know what happened." I said as I snapped back into
reality.

"Shh, It's ok you don't have to explain yourself."  Lucas cooed as he
hugged his boyfriend and rocked him back in forth in a tight embrace.

"I don't blame you Sky. I expected a response like this." My father spoke
from across the field. Lucas shot him a death glare as I began to tense up
again. Lucas just kept on rocking and shushing me.

"Mr. Andrews, I think it's time you leave. You've caused enough pain
already." Angel walked slowly up to me as Lucas talked to my father without
looking at him.

"I agree, however I'll still be close by. Give me a chance son, I'm so
sorry." Mr. Andrews stood up and placed a cell phone with a note on Sky's
bag.

"Let's go." He said to his subordinates and Sofia shifted back into the
raven and flew off as Cyrus helped him walk towards the bushes.

"Is he gone?" I asked not speaking to anyone in particular. Luke was still
occupied in calming me down so Angel spoke up.

"Yeah hermano (bro) he's gone."

"We'll wait a little and then get out of here. I need to get home." I said.

"Yeah I bet you want to tell your mom wh-" Angel began.

"No. Not yet, I can't do that to her, not now."

After about 20 minutes we finally decided to head out. I walked over to
where my bag lay and noticed a phone with a note on it. The note was signed
Skylar on the front I just shoved it and the phone into my bag. I grabbed
my phone and saw the time it was already almost 6pm. When we got to the car
I didn't feel like driving so I just tossed Luke my keys and jumped into
the back seat.

The drive home was quiet it. My mind on the hand was racing with a million
different thoughts. I'm torn, deep down inside I was that 2 year old boy
again who loved his father unconditionally. I wanted so badly to forget all
of the heartache he caused and run into his arms and never let go. But how
could I? I felt the car come to a stop.

"Sky, I can stay with you guys tonight if you want." Angel turned and
rubbed my arm. I sat up and hugged my best friend.

"Don't worry about it hermano (bro). I'll be fine I'll call you tomorrow."
Angel hugged me one last time said bye to Luke and left.

I remained in the back seat and lay back down. I noticed we drove by my
house, because somehow Luke already knew I would rather stay with him
tonight then face my mom at home.

"Thanks." I whispered.

I felt the car stop again and Luke was at my door in a second. We didn't
bother to take anything in with us. We walked into Luke's house and I
noticed no one was home. As I looked around confused Luke spoke up.

"My brother isn't home, perv." I quickly looked up and Luke was just
smiling at me I finally laughed for the first time tonight. "No, but really
they all went out for dinner and a movie. They won't be back till later
tonight." Luke explained.

We got to Luke's room and his bed was already set up we both just collapsed
onto his bed and let out a huge sigh in unison.

I laughed again. "This is getting a little creepy."

"I kind of like it." Luke smiled as he nuzzled into my neck. "You okay?" he
asked. I rubbed my nose into his hair and kissed the top of his head. "I
don't know."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

I just unloaded what I've been thinking about on the way here. "For sixteen
years- he claims to have been watching over me? Wanting to contact me? Why
didn't he?" I ranted.

"Babe it was too risky, you heard him, he was already trying to find a way
to get you and your mother away from any danger. Do you know how hard it
must be for him to look you into the eyes, the person he loves most in the
world and see the pain he's caused you?" Luke sat up and lifted me up to
look into his eyes. "Sky he's trying, you want my opinion?" I just weakly
nodded I could already feel what he wanted to say. "Give him a chance Sky."
I looked down at my hands but Luke quickly lifted my head back up to look
him the eyes. "Sky I can feel it you want to give him chance. So do it,
what can go wrong? You're gaining a father, the father you've always
wanted."

"But he isn't the father I always wanted. The thing's he's done, how can I
just forget that?"

"He made a mistake. A big one yes, but he's regretted it every day of his
life. Every day he was away from you I bet he was hurting."

Luke was making sense, but I'm still not sure if I want to open myself to
my father. We still don't even know the story behind how he knows Lucas. I
shivered at the thought of what he did to Lucas when he was younger.

"Let me sleep on it, this was just too much to handle for one day." I
rested my head on Luke's chest and tried to fall asleep.

After about 2 hours of unsuccessfully trying to sleep I decided to go for a
walk. I checked to see if Luke was awake, but he was out cold with his
mouth wide open catching flies. I laughed as I closed his mouth and gave
him a soft kiss. I slowly crept out of bed and tried to grab my car keys
without making any noise but I failed, the keys jingled and I froze in
place as I heard Luke shift in the bed. When I was sure he was still asleep
I quickly exited his room and went to my car. I opened the trunk went into
my bag and grabbed the note and phone my father left me earlier. I also
grabbed my blue hoodie and took off towards the beach. I kicked off my
shoes and walked onto the sand.

As I walked down the beach I noticed a piece of driftwood big enough for me
to sit on. I walked over and took a seat and just stared at the closed
note.

*Skylar*

I took a deep breath and opened the letter.

Dear Skylar,

	I don't even know how I should even begin to apologize to you and
your mother. I betrayed her trust and I regret that decision every single
day of my life. I'm constantly reminded of my betrayal, it kills me and yet
I deserve it all. It doesn't matter how many people I save or help, because
what I did to you two is unforgiveable. I know this, but I beg you son to
find it in your heart to give me another chance. I never stopped loving you
since the day you were born and now as I know your feelings towards me, I
still love you son. Nothing will ever change that, even if you decide to
exclude me from your life forever. I want you to know that you are still my
son no matter what and I will always be there to protect to you. I'm sorry.

I love you son, Dad

P.S I'm leaving a phone for you. It's a special phone that one of the
kinetics I helped escape created. The government will never be able to
trace it. If you ever need me or if you just want to talk to me please
don't hesitate to call me, I'm speed dial #1.


Tears were in my eyes as I read the letter. I pulled out the phone he left
and held my thumb over the number 1 key. But I couldn't press it, not
yet. I still need time. I carefully folded the letter and returned it to
it's envelop.


"Give him a chance." I quickly jumped to my feet and pulled water from the
ocean and extended it towards the voice I heard. I already knew it was
Sofia. She had her hands up in the air. "I come in peace."

I just dropped the water and sat back on the driftwood. "What do you want?"
I asked coldly.

Sofia walked over and sat next to me on the driftwood.

"First off I wanted to apologize for shooting you, but I've seen you fight
and I didn't want to risk getting my ass handed to me." She smiled and
nudged me. I just stared at her with that "wtf is wrong with you" look.

Sofia cleared her throat. "I wanted to tell you how amazing your father
is."

"Amazing? He's ran experiments on his own son. On you! How is that
amazing?"

"Look I didn't say he was perfect." Sofia said.

I scoffed.

"But he's making up for it." Sofia placed her hand on my leg. "If it wasn't
for him I'd still be locked away in that facility. And if it wasn't for him
a lot of the other subjects in the facility would be much worse off."

I sat quietly and stared out to sea. "I understand Sofia, I-I just need
time."

Sofia smiled and rubbed my leg. "That's all I ask." She stood up and began
to walk away.

"Are you still going to be following us?" I asked.

"Yes, it's still not safe for you yet. Your father thinks they might leave
you two alone for now, but you both of you have three abilities so I doubt
they'll stay away for too long."

"What does our having three abilities have to do with anything?" I asked
curiously.

"That's extremely rare Sky; even having two abilities is rare. So, two
kinetics with three abilities that are constantly around each other would
definitely keep you on their radar. If it's not because they want you on
their side it's because they think you're a threat. So just watch your back
ok?"

I just nodded and Sofia shifted into the raven again and flew off leaving
all her clothes behind. That girl must lose a lot of clothes. I laughed as
I walked back to Luke's house. I noticed Luke's parent's car was in their
driveway however all of the lights in the house were still off. They must
have all just gone straight to sleep I thought. I walked around to the
front door and Riku was lying on their front porch with his arms behind his
head and his right leg over his left knee staring at the full moon that was
out tonight.

I slowly walked up to the porch. "H-Hey Riku," I didn't even startle him he
just looked over and smiled.

I weakly smiled back. He noticed something was wrong right away.

"You okay Sky?"

"I'm fine; I don't want to bore you with my problems." I smiled as I tried
to walk past him. He sat up and grabbed my arm.

"I have time, if you want to talk."

"I warned you." I smiled as I sat next to him. I explained to him
everything that happened today, I don't even know why I did. But when I'm
around him it's like I'm around Luke, it feels nice.

"Whoa." Riku exclaimed.

"Yep."

"So what are you going to do?"

"I don't know yet, but hopefully I make the right choice."

"You will Sky, you're a smart kid. You'll make your revelation in your own
time without the influence of anyone else. And when you do I'm sure you'll
be happy with the outcome."

"Thanks Riku I really needed to vent to someone who wouldn't give me a
biased opinion." I smiled over to Riku, he unexpectedly hugged me and I
hugged him back.

"Let's do this again sometime." Riku said. I stood up and headed towards
the door.

"For sure." I closed the door behind me and headed back to Luke's room and
he was still out cold his mouth wide open again. I stripped down to my
boxer briefs and shivered from the breeze that came from the window I
quickly jumped under the covers and cuddle up to Luke.

"Where'd you disappear to?" Luke whispered into my ear. I guess he woke up
while I was out.

"I just needed to clear my head." Luke stretched and cuddled closer into me
and kissed my neck. "Feel any better?"

"Yeah, I think I do."

"Good, I'm glad." Luke kissed my neck one last time and we both drifted off
to sleep.
