I can't really describe how he makes me feel, I mean I get that butterflies in my stomach feeling plus more. It was really never like this with Tanner, don't get me wrong! Tanner was amazing, but with Braiden it's like his smile warms me from the inside, and he has this way of making you feel like you are what matters to him at that point nothing else is in his focus just you. I know we aren't dating but one day I could see us dating, I like the fact he isn't trying to rush me into the relationship, in fact he understands how I feel. Plus he respects it, he hasn't tried to kiss me even though I really want to kiss him, I wander what it will feel like? Let's not forget he is actually GAY and not just confused! I walk into the house and of course everyone is off doing their own thing, I know dad is at work. I make my way to Caroline's office. I knock on the door and I hear her say come in. I walk in she looks tired, like she hasn't slept in awhile, "Hey, are you ok?" I ask sitting down on the other side of her desk. She takes off her reading glasses and puts her hand on her head, "Yeah honey I am ok, just tired, and a little stressed out. How are you?" I lean back in the chair, "I am great actually! What is stressing you so bad?" "Just trying to figure out what I can do to help Kyle, he is just having a rough time right now...actually it's the worst it has been in a very long while. Your father and I thought it was getting better but it's not." She says flipping through some pages getting frustrated. I put my hand on her, "What's going on with him?" "He has Immune Deficiency disorder, I had complications while pregnant with him and he was a premature born baby, so his immune system has never been great but it's just he's having a tough time cause he is getting sick a lot lately." She says straightening up brushing her hair back. "I didn't know he got sick so easily, is that why he stays in his room a lot?" I ask. She nods, "yeah he doesn't like to get out and about much cause he's scared of getting sick, he feels bad a lot. Some days he feels like a million dollars. Just recently it's been a bad few weeks." "That sucks...Caroline, can I talk to you about well like I don't know how to put it, um dating guys stuff?" I ask feeling embarrassed about it. She lets out a shriek of excitement, "I'm sorry Chasen! Do you know how long it has been since any of the kids have asked to talk to me about their personal lives? A long time, who's it about? Tanner? Braiden?" I laugh, "Well you first have to promise me you cannot say one word to anyone not even dad yet please?" "Chase, honey you know you don't need to exclude him out of your life, he is so happy you are here! But I won't tell him yet its confidential honey." She tells me. "Well its Braiden, we talked this morning and well he is gay, but we have both agreed not to rush into anything yet. Because I am still getting over Tanner even though I am done with him so we agreed to be friends. Caroline, Bray is, I don't know, so different than Tanner ever was, he makes me feel like a little teen girl with the butterflies in my stomach and he smiles I feel warm all over, and he has this way of talking to me like he looks right through my eyes and into me and makes me feel like I am the only one that matters." I gush out to her. She stares at me for a second after I let loose all that information, "Oh baby boy, you are falling head over heels for this boy aren't you? Just promise me you will be careful I don't want you to get hurt." "I am, we are just friends right now. When we both feel ready for a relationship, we will pursue it and only then. Caroline I am actually happy for once I love being here with you, dad, Ry, Kyle, and Lexie." I tell her getting teary eyed. She comes around the desk and hugs me, "Awe Chasen we are so happy you are here, so Braiden has to bring his baby over for your birthday, I can't wait to see him!" "Did I tell you about how Ian woke me up the first time I stayed the night over there? He had his hand on my face. He looks just like Bray." I gush out to her. She smiles, "Awe how cute, so have you met his parents?" "Not yet I am sure I will soon, I am kind of scared to though!" I tell her sitting down. "Don't worry about them, I know his mother Tanya Hanley she is a real nice woman." She tells me sitting back at the desk and shuffling papers into a pile. "When is dad going to get home? Also Bray invited me to the zoo with Ian." I tell her getting up. "He should be home by four, if things are going well, ok honey have fun and the zoo here is great! I love it we all really need to go soon." She tells me. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Braiden's POV I drive up to the Patterson's place, well Riley's parents. I never call them by their first names, it still seems too weird for me. I put the car in park and shut off the engine, I check the car seat in the back, I make sure it's ready for my lil man. I walk up to the door and ring the doorbell; I see movement behind the big front door that has a glass window. I see Mrs. Patterson approach and open the door. "Braiden. Here on time as always I see." Mrs. Patterson greets me. I just smile, "yes Ma'am I miss my boy, how was he this weekend." "He was good as always, I must say you are doing one thing right by raising him. He is so gorgeous." She tells me. She hands me Ian's baby bag, and I go put it in the car, that way I don juggle the bag and Ian, when she finally brings him out. I walk back up to the house and she has Ian, holding him in her arms he is fast asleep; I smile real big that is truly my heart she is holding in her arms. Really it's the only time I have ever truly seen her smile anymore is when Ian is around, I walk up to her looking expectantly. "You take care of my grandson Braiden!" she tells me smiling. I smile back, "Always, he comes first, we are going to the zoo today!" I tell her. She smiles, "Awe that will be exciting for him, he is noticing more things and pointing to them and blabbering, he will love it!" She hands Ian, over to me and he doesn't even move he is out like a light, she reaches over and kisses him on the cheek then kisses me on the cheek. We say our goodbyes and I take Ian to the car, I place him in the back in his car seat I make sure it's all fastened in right and making him comfortable. I get into the car and back out, and start my way over to Chasen's house. This morning was the hardest conversation I have had since I found out Ian was going to be born and admitting to my parents I was gay. I mean never did I think I would find someone that liked me and was ok with the fact I am a father at the age of sixteen, let alone a Tarrant! Just Chase is, I don't know not like my past boyfriends, I feel something with him, like when he fell asleep on my chest last night. I was just so happy. I liked him from the first time I saw him sit down on the beach and slightly cry. Of course I was too scared to go say hi to him, but I did tell myself if I saw him again I would finally talk to him! I listen to see if Ian is awake I doubt he is yet he sleeps like a rock when he wants, but it's like he knows when I want to sleep in. I can't forget to get something for Chasen's birthday! I pull up to his house, I'm nervous I don't know why! Do I honk, or go knock on the door, but I can't leave Ian in here alone! Ok I will text him that's the safest thing! I send him a text, ok I am sick of the butterflies in my stomach, it's not like it's a date or anything. We are just friends, but I still can't help but feel excited about it. I see the door open and Lexie comes out. She smiles and waves so I do the same. She starts to head this way to the car. "Hey Braiden!" she says approaching the car. "Hey Lexie, how are you?" I ask. "Great, So where is Ian?" she asks. I smile "he is in the backseat in his car seat! You want to see him?" She gets excited, "Duh, don't think I came out here to see you." She teases me. I unlock the door for her and she gets in the backseat, "Awe he is so cute! Does he walk? Does he talk?" "Yeah the little booger walks everywhere, he blabbers not really talking unless you speak monkey, and you might." I tease her. She hits me in the head, "Not nice! Braiden!" she looks down at Ian, "Be smarter than your daddy ok?" she tells him smiling. Ian just lets out a little excited shriek moving his arms in the air, "see that's him saying he won't." She tells me laughing. "Ha Ha Ha...go get your brother dork!" I tell her smiling. As soon as she gets out the front door opens, and Chasen comes out in baggy shorts and a blue polo, damn he looks so good! His eyes are really blue today, and his hair is great since he got it cut. He smiles and hugs Lexie as they pass each other and makes his way to the car. "Hey!" he says, getting into the car. "Hey, am I allowed to say you look really, really fine?" I ask smiling. "Hmm, let's see......yeah that's acceptable." He smiles back. He turns around and talks to Ian who is just blabbering away, "He is adorable, and looks like his good looking farther!" he says turning around smiling. "What can I say I am sexy." I say playfully. "Oh shut up and drive dork." He tells me laughing. I start making our way towards the zoo, "So you're coming to my birthday...well get together let's say. Caroline wants to call it a party but I don't like parties." "Its Friday right?" I ask. "Yeah! I don't really know what time but its Friday, I will tell you when I find out." He says looking at me smiling. "Eyy, I don't know Chasen...I got Ian, I don't want to like be a drag by bringing him." I say not for my benefit but I think about others before me. He laughs, "He is the only reason I want you there jeez!" he says teasing me putting his hand on my bicep. I just smile, "Only if you really want me there?" "Yeah and I want you to invite Kasey, she was the coolest and also Alex and Clay if they want to come." He tells me getting really excited. "Sounds like you are more excited than you lead on?" I ask. He just grows bright red in the face, "Maybe just a little!" The conversation kind of dies off for a minute, not the awkward silence but where we are just both comfortable. I look over and he still has a grin so I'm guessing that's good right? I pull into the parking lot of the Zoo of course its busy but not like totally packed like I have seen it. I put the car in park, and pop the trunk, "hey will you wait right here while I get Ian's stroller out of the trunk?" I ask. "Yeah, it's no problem." He tells me. I move quickly not really wanting him to feel like he's babysitting, I know I worry too much but I just don't know how to act around him, I just never had someone do this to me, well not like he's doing anything, shit what I mean is make me feel like he does. I'm so busy arguing with myself in my head I don't duck when I come up and pop my head on the trunk. "DAMN" I let out holding my head. I hear Chasen, come out of the car fast, "Hey are you ok?" "Ahhh." Is all I manage to get out holding my head. I am bent over rubbing the spot and he gets out and comes towards me and our hands touch, I feel a jolt run through my hand I stop rubbing my head and he looks where I hit it. "How bad?" I ask. "Totally fatal man." He says trying to suppress a smile. I grin up at him, and he smiles back at me, I could just really kiss him, and I know it would feel amazing! He goes back and gets Ian out of his car seat, and I finish unfolding the stroller. "Do you want to go ahead and lay him in?" I ask. "Yeah just get his baby bag, I will fasten him in." he tells me smiling. I go and get his baby bag, checking to see if I had enough diapers and baby bottles, of course I knew his grandmother would put pre-made bottles in there for me, I swear she thinks I can't make a baby bottle, none the less I appreciate it. I come back around the car, and Chasen is squatted down playing with Ian, I stop for a minute and watch him, hearing little Ian squeal in delight throwing his fist back and forth and bouncing. "You ready stud?" I ask coming up behind him. He just looks up and smiles at me, and I start to move the stroller and we make our way to the entrance of the Zoo. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Chasen's POV Wow I swear he wanted to kiss me back there, I could feel his body language change and I wanted him to kiss me too but I guess he was scared, it's really understandable we are just feeling this whole thing out, speaking of feeling I really wouldn't mind feeling his ass. It looks really good in his shorts. I just smile as we get up to the ticket booth and I jump ahead and pay for both of us. "Chasen! Why did you do that?" Braiden asks with a little frustration. I just smile, "I wanted to!" and brush my hand against his. He smiles back at me, "Thanks, it was nice. But I am so taking you out to dinner for your birthday maybe the day after your party though." He says putting his sunglasses on. "Mhhmmm it's a date then." I tease him. He just shakes his head and smiles, "So what do you want to see first?" "How about the lions and tigers, I bet Ian would enjoy seeing them!" I say getting excited. We stroll along the path, looking at different things and we finally make it to the Lion exhibit, they weren't very active. Just lazing around really, but Braiden held Ian up so he could see them. I stood back just admiring how Braiden handled Ian, it was so cute you could just see all the love Braiden had for him, and Ian loved him back, his little excited sounds gave it away. We walked along to see the tigers as well, of course they weren't any more active as the lions, but how Ian gawked at them and made faces was cute, it was a great day I was enjoying myself. "So how about the aquarium?" Braiden asked. "Awesome I am so down with the water animals more than the land ones!" I tell him. We find the aquarium and it was huge in one part you go through the tunnel and it wraps around you all in glass and you can see all the fish. "That one, is a clown fish, did you know that the males can change sexes and become females?" Braiden asked looking back at me. "I did not know that it's interesting but I think I'm good with what sex I am." I joke with him. "Holy shit that's a big stingray!" I exclaim. He just smiles and we keep on moving, "There are so many beautiful fish here, this is my favourite part of the whole zoo." Braiden says. "Why?" I ask. "Cause they are ocean animals, it would be amazing to be one, the freedom they have from everything, don't get me wrong I love my life. Just they get to see this vast world unknown to us." He explains to me. We lock eyes for a moment, I am so glad he took off his glasses I love to see his eyes, they are so full of excitement, enthusiasm. They always are. We hear Ian give a little sound and the moment is over, but we see him pointing to the fish and bouncing in the stroller. We both laugh are asses off, and we start making are way over to the Iceland, which is the penguins. We watch them as they slide on their stomachs, and dive in and out of the water, I laugh so much and Braiden is right beside me holding Ian laughing as well, I feel a little tug on my shirt sleeve and its Ian looking at me blabbering. I reach and take him to hold and I prop him up so he can see the penguins as well. He chirps and makes noise all excitedly bouncing back and forth. I sit there smiling. I notice Braiden looking at us both, I can tell he is please. "Hey how about we go get something to eat, I know it's about time to feed Ian" he tells me. We find some tables that are out for visitors to sit and enjoy their lunch, "So what do you want to eat?" I ask. "No I can pay for it this time!" he says looking at me through his sunglasses. "No!" I tell him poking him in the ribs. "YES!" he says catching my hand in his. We just sit there for a moment looking at each other smiling, "how about I get us some hot dogs while you feed little man?" I say winning the goofy argument. I go get us two hot dogs and drinks, and bring them back; I sit down right across from him while he is feeding Ian. "Hungry little dude isn't he?" I say. "Man you have no clue, this dude has an appetite like his father!" he says smiling. I smile, "I love watching you with him." I tell him. He looks at me, "Why?" "I think it's pretty damn awesome that you care so much about him, I can see it in everything you do how you look at him, pick him up, feed him, and overall be around him." I explain. He just smiles showing his white teeth and gets red in the face. "Yeah, he tends to be my heart and soul." He finishes feeding Ian and burps him and he scarves down his hot dog, as do I. we sit there and enjoy the afternoon just looking at everything. "I am going to go change Ian, then there is something I want to do ok? Trust me you will like it!" he says excitedly. I just waited for them, this has been the best freaking day of my life so far! I love it, there hasn't been any stress or anything just enjoyment! They come back, "Ready?" he asks. "Oh yeah, what is it!?" I ask wanting to know. "Well its really dorky, but they have a photo booth that you sit in like they have at the mall, and well I thought maybe you, Ian, and I could do one?" he says sounding all shy. I laugh, "That would be awesome!" I tell him. We find the booth he is talking about and it's just like the ones in the mall, you take four pictures they come out on two strips, we pick the one with the water animals as the border. "Here take the first shots of you and Ian. I will join in the third." He tells me. I sit in the booth with Ian, and adjust the camera screen and hit the button the first one was great Ian was looking right at the screen smiling, the second one Ian had his hand on my face, then Braiden came in and put his arm around me. The last one was good, Braiden sat Ian down on his lap, and the camera flashed and it was just me and him in the picture, I saw him wink at me, and put his sunglasses back on. We waited for the pictures to print, and I thought I would ask him if he knew Nick, "Hey Bray, do you know a guy named Nick?" "You mean Nick McKenzie?" he asks looking over at me. "I guess he is a waiter at a restaurant?" I ask. "That would be him, yeah I know him why? Did he hit on you? Give you his number?" I laugh, "yeah that's exactly what he did." Braiden laughs with me, "Yeah Nick isn't date type he likes to get with anyone he can, he is a rich kid and thinks he can charm his way into any ones pants. He succeeds a lot too. He is what we call a sex fiend, he doesn't care if they're a guy or girl he wants it." I laugh harder, "wow no wonder he was trying hard for me then." "Yeah, he would. Your "FRESH MEAT" for him" he says. "Why do you always have your sunglasses on? Well like the last few days, I haven't seen you with them before like at the party or when your surfing." I know it's a dumb question but I don't know I just want to know. He smirks, "I have sensitive eyes so the brightness of the sun gives me a headache so do florescent lights, it's a bitch in school, and for surfing I can't wear them or I would, but you have to make sacrifices for things you love." "That sucks, so like if it's just so bright it hurts?" I ask. "Yeah, like if it's getting like evening and the sun is pretty much down I am good, it's not every day just sometimes, I mean I could go without them just have a headache but I don't like headaches." He says and smiles. I lean over to his ear, "Well with or without them you look sexy." I tell him. He blushes, "Thanks stud." We walk to the monkeys and watch them for a bit, I check on Ian and he is passed out in the stroller. "Guess he has had enough for the day." "Yeah, little dude probably the most fun he has had yet. So do you want to check out the reptile house before we go?" Braiden asks. "No! They will have spiders in there somewhere and just no! I hate spiders!" I tell him He just shakes his head and laughs; "well you want to head out?" "yeah I am pretty tired already, that and it looks like it might rain." I tell him. No sooner we got to the car and put Ian up it started to rain on us, we had to move faster to get the stroller and Ian's baby bag put up, and run to the car. "Man I am soaked!" I tell him laughing. "Well you look hot soaked." He tells me putting his hand on my face. He starts the car, and puts on the heater to warm us up, "thanks I am freezing." I tell him. "It will warm up soon if you want to take off your shirt I have a hoodie in the back to wear." He says. I agree and I know he will see some of the old scars that haven't faded yet, I take off my shirt and I see him looking at me, but he doesn't say anything. I reach and put on his hoodie and zip it up. "Looks good on you babe." He says smiling. We take our time making it back to my house since it was raining I was getting sleepy, the rain always makes me sleepy. We pull up to my house and I go to take off his hoodie but he stops me. "It's still raining. Take it, I will get it later plus you don't want your picture to get wet. That and you look so sexy in my hoodie." He tells me smiling. I smile back and tell him, goodbye and to call me later. I run up to the house looking back to watch him pull away. I go right up to my room and shed off my wet shorts and put some basketball shorts on. I pin up the picture of me Braiden and Ian on my corkboard. I lay down on my bed, looking at the picture running the events of today back through my head. Braiden didn't understand how much he made me happy. I thought it would be an ok chapter to do, now next chapter is Chasen's BIRTHDAY! PARTY it's going to be great I have things planned for this chapter but my lips are sealed!
