The Farm Hand
Chapter 21, Part 1 of 2
Jason looked out the window to the street below. Children running
through a hose and splashing each other. It took his mind back a few
years. When he and Shawn used to play and mess around in the cool of the
shade along side the pond. Ten years had passed since that time, how life
had changed since then.
Jason was just coming out of the bathroom when he heard the phone
ringing down the hall. With only his boxers on he wasn't going to chance
making it to the phone. He had other things on his mind at the moment.
Bigger fish to fry you might even say. With a wide smile on his face he
walked over to the dresser and started getting his clothes out.
Downstairs the mood wasn't as festive as one would wish it to be. The
phone call that came in was news that no one was sure how to approach Jason
with. His Aunt and Mother were talking about it as Jason was leaping down
the stairs, and heading towards the kitchen.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sun was coming over the hills just as Shawn was getting out of bed.
Ready to start his day and get things done. This was the day he had been
waiting for, the day he finally would get to see Jason. The thing was, he
wasn't sure how it would all go. Was he going to tell Jason upfront what
he had done. Or was he just going to let things be done. And just not
worry about it. Taking a big breath he headed towards the shower.
Turning the light on he took his morning wood in his hand and aimed it
towards the toilet. A steady stream hitting the bowl and splashing the
water below. It felt so good to relieve himself. Looking down at himself
the thought of getting down to business came to his mind. Naw, save it for
later. When he got to see Jason again. He could wait, and he knew it
would be worth it. Giving himself a few good shakes and tugs he turned the
water on.
His mom was downstairs making sure everything was ready for his trip.
The car had been filled up last night and she had called the airlines three
times already. Eggs and bacon were cooking on the stove. She wanted to
make sure he had a good meal in his stomach before taking off. Who knew
what kind of stuff they might serve on the jet. She could hear Shawn
moving around upstairs. Hurrying over to the stove she checked the bacon
once more.
Shawn could smell the scent of bacon cooking downstairs as he was
pulling his clothes on. His bag was over by the door, it had been packed
two days ago. Setting down to tie his shoes he looked around the room one
more time to make sure he had everything packed. Jumping up he walked over
to the door and picked up his bag. Heading down the hall towards the
stairs.
His mom was setting his plate on the table just as he was walking into
the kitchen. Shawn walked over and gave her a hug, kissing her on the
cheek. They had been through allot in the last couple of years. Not
knowing what each other would have done with out the other. Pulling his
chair out he sat down and started to eat.
After all the normal reminders of what to do and what not to do, Shawn
was walking towards the car his bag in hand. His mom right behind him
still jabbering away. You would of thought he was ten years old again.
The way she was carrying on. After he had shut the trunk he walked over to
her and put his hands around he shoulders. Looking into her eye's he told
her everything was going to be OK. And that he Loved her, and he would
miss her. And before she knew it he would be right back home. Like he was
never gone.
As he was pulling out of the drive he could see his mom standing on the
porch waving to him. The sun was over the hills now and starting to warm
the land. Heading out he turned on the radio and rested against the seat.
Letting thoughts fill his head. Coming to the stop sign he looked both
ways. Nothing was coming either way but it was kind of hard to see from
the East, seeing how the sun was blaring high above. Looking once more he
turned out unto the highway. Not even noticing the semi coming over the
hill towards him.
As he turned to look he saw the truck coming right at him. Flashes of
his short life flashing before his eyes. His first bike ride, his first
day of school, his first birthday party. The time he had snuck behind the
school and got his first kiss. The first time he had messed around with
Jason. The long nights they had spent together with nothing around them
but nature. Two souls lost in a world of nothingness.
About fifteen minutes after he had, left Shawn's mom had heard the
sirens heading towards the highway. A sick feeling coming over her. A
single tear ran down her face as she walked out to look and see.
As the fire trucks and medics came upon the site they could see that the
car was in pieces. No one could of survived that mess. The car had been
turned into nothing but a scrap of metal.
The first medic out of the van runs up to see if anyone was alive. A
deep down feeling inside is telling them no one will be found. Only pieces
of a body that was once alive, but now is broke and crushed. What she saw
was nothing like she had ever seen before. Lifeless eyes staring at a
world that they could never see again. That would never see the sun shine
or birds flying through the clouds. Limbs twisted and busted, chest ripped
open blood running down and out of the car. One hand was still on the
steering wheel, the death grip trying to steer out of danger.
John ran up to the scene, he thought the car looked like his sisters
sons car. Looking over he stopped in his tracks, he could feel tears
welling up and running down his face. It was his Nephew Shawn. His head
falling into his hands he fell down on his knees and sobbed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
After about three hours his mom pulled herself together enough to make
the trip into town. Shortly after she had set down on the porch outside
the phone had rang. The feeling she got earlier was right of course. It
was Shawn, she had lost everything in life today. Her only son would never
come home to her, the image in her head would stay there till she took her
last breath.
As quick as the sheet had been pulled back it was pulled back over the
body. It was him, or what was left of the boy she once knew. The boy she
had raised into a man. Tears streaming down her face she walked out into
the courtyard. Family gathered around her. She had asked her brother to
take care of the arrangements, she just couldn't deal with it. They had
been through so much the last couple of months.
Once she was home and settled in a bit she pulled out her address book,
staring at the cover as she thought about the call she was about to make.
Hard feelings filled her head as she let her mind drift. If Shawn would of
never been in the love mess as she called it, with Jason. She would still
have Shawn here with her now. He would of never took off towards the
airport. They would still be together.
Life was hard she had to admit, and this would be hard to deal with. But
she was a strong woman and this was just something she had to deal with.
Opening the page she found the number she needed and dialed it. After
about three rings she heard a voice on the other end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jason's mom had heard the phone ring and hurried down the hall to answer
it. The voice on the other end was one she knew. It was Shawn's mom, but
something didn't seem right. She could tell she was upset, a sick feeling
started to come over her. As she listened her world started to fall apart.
She had no idea how she was going to even approach Jason with this. There
had been tense moments before but this was one she never thought she would
have to deal with.
After giving her condolences and saying good bye she hung up the phone.
Standing in the hall, looking down at the phone. Wondering if it had all
been a dream, this couldn't be real. A loud bang from the kitchen brought
her back as she turned around and headed down the hall.
Her sister in law looking up could see the shock on her face. Raising
up, she walked over and set her down in a chair. Whats wrong is all she
could ask. As the two set there and talked they could hear Jason coming
down the stairs towards them. She wasn't sure if she was ready to turn
Jason's world up side down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jason's phone ringing brought him back from his day dream. Reaching over
he picked it up, the voice on the other line made him feel good inside.
All though he would never hear the voice he really wanted to again. The
caller told him he would be late, and to just wait on dinner. And they
could figure something out. After saying the goodbyes Jason hung up and
sat there.
The sun had drifted below the city now, casting shadows from the
buildings on the side walks below. The children that were playing outside
were gone now. The traffic all that was left.
Walking to the bed room he lay ed down and closed his eyes. Thinking
back to the day he headed back home. Home to a place that was empty,
nothing that was there for him existed anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking out the window he could see the land below. Clouds hanging over
the cities and towns. They were half way through the flight now. In about
an hour or so they would be touching down. His mom right beside him, this
is not the mood or way he wanted to be heading back home.
His friend was going to pick them up and take them to town. They had
found a room there and planed on staying for the next four days. Jason
heard a voice and turned his head left. The Stewart was asking him if he
need something else to drink. Sure he told her, laying his head back he
closed his eyes and drifted into thought.
He could see Shawn standing next to the fence, sweat running down his
chest. His arms and back tan from the hot summer sun. Jason could
remember taking glances when he thought he wannest looking. Trying to
check him out and only wonder what was under those tight jeans. Lust
thoughts filling his head as the two worked side by side.
Jason had feelings for the farm hand for a time now. Knowing deep
inside that he liked men. Jason could remember the first time he felt his
lips press into Shawn's. The first time he could feel the heat from his
erect penis as it slipped in and out of his wet lips. Feeling it slide
deep down his throat. His nuts slapping against his chin, full of the
white cream that would soon be filling his mouth and throat.
Jason thought back to the time on the country road, in Shawn's truck.
How he had made him feel so loved. Shawn had a way about him that could
just melt Jason. He really couldn't stay mad at him long. It was just to
dang hard to do. Shawn had given him allot in the last year. Had been
there for him though allot of things that had happened.
The captain coming across the pa system brought him from his nap. They
were close to landing now. Looking over at his mom he could see she was
watching out the window, looking his way. Her eyes always told him what
she was thinking. There was a sadness about her, he could tell she wasn't
ready to come back to this place either.
