Subject: The Wrong Twin - Chapter 2

Introduction: So this is my first shot at writing fiction. I have been
reading the stories on Nifty for quite a while and decided that I would
finally try to do one myself. I know I know I am definitely an idealist
when it comes to some of the details of this story, but I hope you enjoy
this! I will also warn you that this story will develop kinda slowly, as I
hate stories that are so predictable. I will try not to give away the whole
plot in the earlier chapters.

If you are looking for a quick jerk off, this is not the story for
you. Sorry, I know the feeling searching for them ;). Please feel free to
send me an email and let me know what you think of the story. As usual, if
you are under the legal age to read this sort of material or it is illegal
to do so in the region you live in, please hit the red ?x? in the top right
corner of your screen now. I retain all creative rights to this story. Any
reference to people of the same name is purely coincidental.

This is all fiction, minus the cities and the celebrities.

Special thanks to my best friend Kai for reading each chapter over and
making sure it doesn't suck too badly. Love you!

Opinions are welcome- rylanhanley@gmail.com

Thanks! Rylan

The Wrong Twin - Chapter Two: New Students

It was a nice sunny August day, one that I would have greatly
appreciated spending NOT going to school. Unfortunately summer is over and
it is time to get back to the daily grind. On the bright side, hockey
season is quickly approaching! AJ and I had the top down and made our way
to school. Usually we stop at Starbucks for coffee, since it's just right
down the highway from our house. But of course I took wayyyy too long in
the shower this morning and I just want to make it to homeroom on time.

"I hope that this year isn't going to be too difficult for me, I am really
nervous about starting high school," AJ explains as I begin to pull into
the parking lot.

"Don't worry bud, I'm sure you will do just fine. You are a Taylor after
all!" I respond.

"Seriously though, AJ, just relax. I remember my first day of school. I was
probably more apprehensive than you. You'll do fine. Plus if you have any
problems, just text me and I will help you out. Sit by our table at lunch."
Like I said, AJ and I are really close. I don't see him as a pest, but more
of a younger friend.

"Dude Isaac why do we have to park like a million miles away from
the building?!" asks AJ as I pull into the far lot that was designed only
for overflow parking during football games.

"Cuz I am not risking some idiot denting my car! Besides you need
the exercise anyways," I say with a smirk. Yeah I know he isn't fat but I
gotta tease him anyways. AJ loves to surf and frequently competes in
tournaments the LA area, so obviously he doesn't have a weight issue at
all. We live about 45 minutes from the ocean so when he surfs, he usually
spends the whole day down there with his friends.

"Whatever weirdo. I'll see ya at lunch I guess."

"Have a great first day little guy! Make me proud!" I shout as AJ
flips me the bird as he meets up with his buddies Caleb and Marcus.

"Awe aren't you just the sweetest big brother! Gonna change his
diaper later too?"

I turn around to see my best friend Dylan and his girlfriend Maria
Canzanello coming towards me. Maria and Dylan have been dating for a few
months and I think they're great together. She is relatively tall, with
dark hair and darker skin. Her grandparents moved to America in the 1950's
from Venice. Now, Maria's mom and dad own the best, most authentic Italian
restaurant in the Anaheim Hills.

"Oh whatever Dylan. I'm sure Maria takes care of that for you!" I
retort and get a small chuckle out of Maria. "Seriously Maria I just can't
figure out what you see in this guy. He sucks at hockey, he is an asshole,
and he isn't good looking!"

"Yeah I know Isaac, but there is just something about his bright
green eyes that get me every time," she responds and gives Dylan a small
peck on the lips.

"Oh shit the homeroom bell is about to ring! Gotta run, see ya guys
later!" I yell as I jog down the hall to my homeroom. Since homerooms are
set up alphabetically, I am stuck without any friends for the first 10
minutes of my day. It kinda sucks but whatever, I deal.

Fortunately I arrived a good thirty seconds before the late bell
rang. Our school is pretty strict on tardiness and I'm really glad I didn't
get a warning on the first day! Of course we have assigned seats (which in
homeroom I think are a total waste) and my schedule is already on my desk
when I get there. Not too bad! I have United States history first period,
which is my favorite subject, followed by physiology/anatomy, gym, and
study hall before lunch. After lunch my day totally sucks! I start off with
my worst subject, world literature, then chemistry, and pre-calculus.

Fortunately I end my day with my blow off elective, current events. All of
my classes are honors level of course! However anatomy and physiology is an
advanced placement course.

"Hello and welcome to Orange Unified School District! I am
Mr. Harrison and I am one of two chemistry teachers here. I hope you find
everything ok around the building and if you have any problems, feel free
to come to me. Now take your seat and you will find your schedule waiting
for you. It's nice to meet you both!" I catch the teacher saying as I am
going over my own class schedule.

I look up to see a boy and a girl, both with dirty blonde hair, conversing
with the teacher. Let me tell you, this girl was GORGEOUS! Absolutely
stunning! She is about 5'6" and maybe 110 pounds. This girl has some
curves! Her blonde hair is styled perfectly in my opinion; she has it cut
just above her shoulders. Just then, she turned her head and I saw her
deep, rich hazel eyes.

She says something to the boy who turns and they both start walking in my
direction. It is only then that I notice the two seats in front of me are
empty. "Wait, are these two twins?! They have to be, they look so much
alike! He is pretty handsome himself! I hope she sits in front of me,
though." Wait...did I just call a boy handsome? Well in my defense he looks
like his hot sister.

He must be almost six feet tall, definitely shorter than me. His blonde
hair is shorter than mine as well, a little darker too. He has it styled
similar to what David Beckham would wear. But still, I rarely notice
guys. Fuck it I'm not gonna dwell on it.

Anyways, of course the boy takes the seat directly in front of me while his
sister takes the desk in front of him. "I just have to get to know this
girl!" I think as I notice how sexy her ass looks in her tight True
Religion jeans. Damn. Just Damn. How am I going to go about this? And then
it hit me. DUH! I will become friends with her brother! He is going to be
my meal ticket!
I tap the boy on the shoulder and say, "Hey dude my name is
Isaac. Welcome to the Anaheim Hills!"

"Thanks! My name is Kayden Tamson and that's my twin sister Annie,"
he replied. For some reason I was just captivated by his deep blue eyes.

I recovered from my daze and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you
Kayden. So where you from bro?"

"We just moved here from Charlotte, North Carolina. My mom got a
partner position at a law firm here in Anaheim."

"Cool! So did your dad find a new job too?" I inquired.

"Well I think you will find out sooner or later," Kayden said. He
got a good chuckle out of the confused look on my face. "Just wait Isaac,
you'll understand shortly."

"Haha ok whatever you say! Let me see your schedule dude." I take
his schedule and scan it over quickly. "Oh I see you're a smart one like
me! We actually have all the same classes together. Except you have mock
trial instead of A&P."

"Oh yeah I intend on going on to law school and maybe running for
political office someday. So I am assuming..."

"Hey Kade what does your schedule look like? Oh I am sorry to
interrupt. Hi my name is Annie. I'm Kayden's sister. Already making friends
little brother?" his sister says.

"Oh jeez Annie. You are a whole two minutes older than me! Get off
it already!" Kayden exclaims.

"Hello Annie, it's nice to meet you. I'm Isaac Taylor. Me and your
little bro have been discussing his schedule as well. Looks like I won't be
the only smart blonde guy in the junior class anymore!" I respond.

"Well that's good to know Kade won't be without friends throughout
the day. I am not the brain in the family that's for sure, so I won't be
accompanying you two in those honor classes all day," Annie
explained. Shit, of course she isn't in any of my classes. Guess I am just
gonna have to get close with Kayden and hang around their house.

Just then the PA system beeped and Principal Schroder came on and
announced, "Attention students: All periods will be cut short today for an
assembly at the end of the day. We have many things to tell you! Have a
great first day!"

Following that brief announcement, the bell rang and the first day of
school began. It all went pretty smoothly. Kayden and I sat next to each
other in every class. I introduced him to Patrick, Alex, and Dylan during
history. I figured he could meet Steven, his girlfriend Alyssa Madison, and
Kyler during lunch. We all sat at the same table and I knew Kayden would
get along with everyone, especially after I found out that he plays hockey
as well! Yeah he was a Carolina Hurricanes fan, but as far as I was
concerned that wasn't a real problem. Kayden said he would try out for the
team, so hopefully he turns out to be good. We always have a good team, but
we could use another solid winger to play on our second line. Pat, Dylan,
and I made up the top line while Steven and Alex played defense and Kyler
was in net. Our line usually produced, but we were sort of lacking on the
secondary scoring. We made it to the state playoffs the past two years, but
never to the championship game.

Physiology and anatomy was pretty routine, we just went over the
syllabus and what not.

But something extremely interesting happened to me during gym class. Of
course Kayden and I had lockers assigned right next to each other. As we
were changing, I went to mention to him about how competitive I was and I
caught him sort of staring at my chest. I know I am pretty toned, but it
was kinda awkward just seeing him staring at me. He snapped out of it and
responded to me, but I have never had a guy do that to me. I decided that
since he was staring I would give him a quick glance over myself. I must
admit he has a body that almost rivals mine! Due to hockey, I have to
constantly improve my strength and conditioning and I am assuming he does
the exact same thing. These kinds of bodies don't just happen by genetics!
After gym class came study hall, which was fairly pointless since no
one gives homework on the first day. However, Kayden and I talked and I got
to know him a little bit better. Annie was also in our study hall. She and
Maria became pretty good friends and they joined Kayden and I in our
discussions during the period. Lunch was fantastic, minus the food which is
mediocre at best. Since we kinda live in an upper class community, you
would think they would be able to provide us with good food! There we
introduced Kayden and Annie to Kyler, Steven, Alyssa, our other friend Nick
Colver, and Alyssa's best friend Casey Altola. Nick is the star water polo
player for our school. He always enjoyed watching us play hockey, but he
never really cared to play. Nick lives in our neighborhood and tends to
hang with us as opposed to the other jocks in school. Alyssa, Casey, and
Maria are all volleyball players. They are pretty athletic and enjoy
sports, but they can be girly at some points. We try to avoid drama as much
as possible, but this is high school after all. When it is all said and
done, we know that we are all pretty tight and nothing will divide
us. During lunch, I noticed Casey sitting rather close to Kayden. Looks
like she isn't going after Kyler anymore! He is going to be pissed! Kyler
and Casey had been flirting all throughout the summer pool parties and what
not. I guess she is finally sick of him not making an official move. All in
all lunch went pretty well. After a few more classes we came to the end of
the day and everyone filed into the gymnasium for the assembly.

Whenever there is an assembly, my friends and I decided freshman
year that we should all meet right outside the gym bathrooms so we could
all sit next to one another. The rest of our friends met Kayden and I there
and we made our way in to sit and listen to the principal and see what he
has to say. Usually I don't pay attention to this shit. I figure if there
is ever anything important, one of my friends would fill me in later.

Just after we found our seats, Principal Schroder stepped up to the
microphone set up at half court and said, "Good afternoon students. Welcome
back to school. I'm sure you're all thrilled to be back! Now as some of you
may know, Mr. Richards retired at the end of last school year. Today, we
would like to introduce to you our new superintendent Dr. Robert
Tamson. Dr.

Tamson has asked to speak to you all today and announce a few new policies
and clubs that will be made available to the student body here at Orange
Unified."

As soon as I heard the name of our new superintendent I tilted my
head toward Kayden who had this goofy looking grin on his face and he
leaned in and said, "See what I meant now?"

I just laughed and shook my head yes.

Dr. Tamson came out onto the court and began to address the student
body, "Hello everyone! It is so great to be here in sunny Southern
California! I look forward to getting to know some of you hopefully. I plan
on having an open door policy. Don't be afraid to stop in and say 'hi' or
to voice any concerns or problems you have at school or at
home. Furthermore, we are adopting a zero tolerance policy for
bullying. Some kids and parents see bullying as a rite of passage for high
school students, but not me. Consider this assembly your final warning that
any form of bullying or discrimination will not be tolerated in this school
district. To hopefully avoid any issues here, the administration and school
board have decided to open up a gay- straight alliance chapter here at
Orange Unified at my recommendation. My former school in North Carolina
implemented this and bullying in general decreased by nearly
half. Therefore I encourage you to join this club, along with our newly
formed Mock Trial team and Model United Nations club that we have also
added this year. If you have any ideas for additional clubs and teams, feel
free to present it to me for consideration. Thank you for your time. I know
it's a half hour before normal dismissal, but as my first day gift to you
guys, we have the buses waiting and you are all dismissed for the day! Have
a great year!"

At the last announcement, everyone went nuts! What a fantastic way to
end a relatively boring day. "Hey guys, you wanna go to Starbucks and grab
some coffee? I don't feel like going home yet. I have nothing to do until
AJ is done with his middle school program thing. Anyone interested?"
Everyone agreed that we would meet there.

After purchasing our drinks, me with a usual vanilla and coffee
Frappuccino, we grabbed a table towards the back so we wouldn't disturb
anyone with our loud talking. "So that's pretty cool that your dad is the
new superintendent!" Kyler says.

"Yeah I mean he demands a lot of us because he has easy access to our
teachers so we have to be really careful with our conduct during class,"
Kayden responds.

"Well you, Mr. Teacher's Pet, don't have anything to worry
about. It's me who will get in trouble more often for talking and what
not!" Annie exclaims. "Oh and we should totally join that Gay-Straight
Alliance!"

      "What? Why?" I inquire.

"Well Isaac it looks really good on college resumes, plus it's just
the right thing to do! You're not a homophobe are you?" asks Annie.

"Fuck no! I am totally cool with whomever anyone chooses to love. I'm
game." I say.

Everyone else nods their head in agreement. I guess I will be trying
something new this school year. But what the hell! It's not like that could
do any harm. We are some of the more well- known students in school so I
guess it could actually help my peers who aren't as popular from being
bullied. There were a few problems last year with gay kids getting bullied
that I heard about so yeah what the hell.

After that little discussion, we pretty much just finished our drinks
while the rest of the group quizzed Kayden and Annie about their past and
what not. I took off around 4:00 to pick up AJ and we headed off to the gym
to keep our usual summer workout going. Turns out his first day wasn't as
bad as he thought. AJ actually really liked the idea of being treated more
like an adult. I knew he had nothing to worry about! We got home, had a
nice family dinner, and played some NHL '09 before bed.

All in all, I had a great first day in school! Kayden and I became
pretty good friends, I met what could be the girl of my dreams, and we got
out of school early! Something tells me I have a great year ahead!
