Subject: The Wrong Twin Chapter Three

Introduction: So this is my first shot at writing fiction. I have been
reading stories on Nifty for quite a while and decided that I would finally
try to do one myself. I know I am definitely an idealist when it comes to
some of the details in the story, but I hope you enjoy this! I will also
warn you that this story develops kinda slowly, as I hate stories that are
predictable. I will try not to give away the whole plot in the earlier
chapters.

If you are looking for a quick jerk off, this is not the story for
you. Sorry I know the feeling searching for them ;). Please feel free to
send me an email and let me know what you think of the story. As usual, if
you are under the legal age to read this story, please hit the red "x" in
the top right corner of your screen now. I retain all creative rights to
this story. Any reference to people of the same name is purely
coincidental.

This is all fiction, minus the cities and the celebrities.

Special thanks to my best friend Kai for reading each chapter over and
making sure it doesn't suck too badly. Love you!

NOTE: Sorry about the delay for this chapter, I kinda...broke my laptop
haha.

Opinions are welcome- rylanhanley@gmail.com

Thanks!

The Wrong Twin- Chapter Three: New Perspective

*Written from Kayden's Point of View*

Boy I really like this new Panic! At The Disco song! And I would absolutely
fast-forward until I went down on their lead singer! Anyways their song
"New Perspective" was playing on my iPod as we pulled into the driveway of
our new house. Fortunately my dad decided to drive out here and my mom,
sister and I were able to fly from our old city, Charlotte, North
Carolina. My mom, Katherine Tamson, a lawyer, received an offer to become a
partner at a law firm in Anaheim, California. This was a pretty hefty
promotion for her, and since my father, Dr. Robert Tamson, found an opening
as the superintendent of Orange County Unified School District, it was
pretty well settled that we would be moving to Southern California.

My parents met while my mother was getting her law degree at Duke and my
dad was finishing up his Ph. D. there as well. Dad was born in Durham, and
grew up following Duke Athletics. He came from modest means, as my
grandfather owned a small shoe store and my grandmother stayed at home to
raise my dad and his younger brother. Dad decided early that he would
pursue education due to his love for helping those younger than him, and
quickly determined a Ph.D. would be useful to impact more children. Mom
comes from old money in Asheville, which is in western North Carolina. Her
great- grandfather, John Pederson, built his wealth in the steel industry
during the mid-1800. While the steel company was eventually sold to
U.S. Steel in the early 1900's, we lost quite a bit of wealth because of
the stock market collapse in 1929. Despite that, my grandparents are still
worth about $100 million. My mother and her four siblings will eventually
split that, and my sisters and I will each receive $5 million and my
parents will keep $5 million as a safety net. My grandparents set up a $5
million trust for each of their kids that was accessible as soon as they
graduated college; therefore my parents had a good jump in their financial
situation. So basically, we are pretty well off.

My parents met in January of 1988 at a party for a Duke Basketball
game. Through mutual friends, they discovered common beliefs and morals and
continued to steadily date until they graduated in spring of 1990. That
summer they married and moved to suburban Charlotte where my mom took an
internship with a big time law firm that my grandpa knew the boss of. Dad
started off as an assistant principal at Cornelius High School, the school
district my family lived in.

After getting their jobs, my parents decided it would be a great time to
start a family. They just purchased a new home on Lake Norman, just outside
of Charlotte, and the atmosphere was conducive for raising a family. On
October 11, 1992 my mother gave birth to twins; the first was Adrianne
Marie Tamson, or Annie as we call her. I came out, of the womb that is, two
minutes later. Kayden Robert Tamson is what my birth certificate reads.
Three years later, my mom had another daughter, Richelle Alexandria. Two
years after Richelle was born, my mother found out she was pregnant again
with twins.

Unfortunately, about 14 weeks into the pregnancy, she lost both
babies. Needless to say, Mom was devastated. It was a really difficult time
for my family. While I was only 5 at the time, I can still remember my mom
crying hard and battling depression for a good six months. Fortunately my
mom's mom came and lived with us during this time and helped her get back
on her feet. Although this was extremely trying, my parents' marriage
survived and strengthened.

Our family is more of an intellectual family as opposed to competitive. We
prefer simply keeping to ourselves and reading books instead of gathering
in the living room to watch a television show. One of the exceptions
happens to be my parent's love for basketball, especially college
basketball. The other exception is my love of hockey. When I was 5 years
old, the Hartford Whalers relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina and became
the Carolina Hurricanes. After visiting my dad's parents and attending my
first ever game when I was 6, I was absolutely hooked! I loved the team and
I loved the game.

Fortunately, there was a rink near my home in Charlotte and I began
playing. By the time I was 10 I had a spot on a travel team and started
playing up North in Virginia and Maryland.

However, my real talents lied within the walls of our elementary school. I
was identified as a gifted student early on in my education and was placed
in an advanced program with a few other intelligent pupils. I did decide
not to skip any grades because I was a rather short kid and I didn't want
to risk being picked on for being a brainiac. Besides it would feel sorta
strange to not be in the same grade as my twin. Anyways, I tend to keep to
myself. I am definitely not an introvert, but I am not exactly an outgoing
person either. I like to make friends and keep them close. Basically if
they don't hold similar values to me, I probably won't talk to them. Most
of the kids in my high school in Charlotte enjoyed drinking and partying at
the local public beach. That wasn't for my friends and I. We tended to play
pick- up hockey at our house or chill on my friend's boat out on the
lake. But I wasn't one to attend the big bonfires at some of the more
"popular" kids' houses.

As for Annie, she discovered that gymnastics was where her passion was. She
loved to perform flips and tucks and all of those girly fancy things that I
can't do with my body without risking permanent injury.

Annie and I really got along well, but we definitely bickered back and
forth a lot. She isn't exactly an exceptional student, but she manages to
get her A's and B's. When we entered high school, Annie decided to try out
for cheerleading. Of course she easily made the squad given her incredible
flexibility.

That was her meal ticket to joining the "in-crowd" in high school. Of
course being the gorgeous, 5 foot 9 inch blonde hair, hazel eyes, and slim
build, she was quickly courted by the football players at our high
school. She tended to go to those parties that I referenced to earlier, but
she knew drinking would get her in huge trouble. Right before we moved, the
one party at her friend's house got busted by the cops and a few of the
people in her group of friends got underages. Luckily for Annie, she was
sick and couldn't make it to the party. Once my parents caught wind of
this, she was forbidden to hang out with those kids who got in trouble.

Richelle has to be the most difficult child ever. She is very...bitchy. She
is never satisfied unless she gets her way. She was like that even as a
baby. All Richelle did was cry and cry and eat and poop and cry.

Since my mom worked a lot and my dad had more free time, it was usually him
who dealt with her.

Because of that, they actually grew to be pretty close. Richelle is the
definition of a Daddy's girl. She gets whatever she wants, whenever she
wants. She also is a great basketball player, which pleases my
parents. Richelle played on the Charlotte AAU U-14 travel basketball team
that my dad actually helped coach. Whenever we built our new house in 2002
on Lake Norman, we added an indoor basketball court for me to practice
hockey and for Richelle to shoot some hoops.

Just six weeks ago, Mom announced that she would be flying out to Anaheim
for a job interview to become the partner of a large and well-known law
firm in the Anaheim area and was curious to how we would react at the
possibility of moving to the West Coast. Personally, I thought the move
would be ideal. I actually was just dumped about three days prior to the
announcement, and I was completely for a change in scenery. Richelle was
the only one who was truly against the move. Annie didn't really care
either way; due to her bubbly personality she figured she could make
friends anywhere and it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Four days after she left, Mom returned to inform us that she was indeed
offered the job and was granted a week and a half to make a decision. The
main concern was whether or not my dad could find a new job. By this time,
he was the superintendent of the Cornelius School District and was making
nearly a quarter of a million dollars a year. After doing some research,
Dad discovered that the Orange Unified School District was actively
searching for a replacement for their superintendent, as the current one
was retiring as soon as a new one was found. He quickly applied and, via a
webcam interview, was offered the position. With both of them securing
jobs, it was settled and my parents were off to Anaheim to find us a house
to live in. They found a nice, large home for us with an outdoor basketball
court and a cool swimming pool.

Now I must admit that there was one reason that I was really looking
forward to this move...THE SO CAL BOYS!!!! Yeah that's right, I am
gay. Surely the first paragraph would have given that away. But yeah
anyways how could I not be looking forward to the So Cal surfer boys?! Ugh
I could just picture their sexy washboard abs and long flowing blonde
hair. This was certainly a pro to moving, even though I would have to be
changing schools and having to make all new friends. I left a good group of
kids that I played travel hockey with. Ben, my best friend and line mate
from the team, was extremely broken up about me leaving. He and I met
during peewee's and have been best friends ever since. Victor was the first
person I came out to when I was 14 and he told me that he would be there
for me no matter what.

Now I thought at 14 it would be unlikely that he would hold up such a
strong promise, but during all of the hard times in accepting my sexuality
and dealing with boys, Ben was by my side. He was my first crush, but
unfortunately he was straight as an arrow.

I started to think I was gay when I found myself jacking off to the images
of my teammates changing after hockey practices and games. At first I
chalked it up to simple curiosity since I was horny nonstop and I heard it
was "normal" for kids to be curious. But after seeing one of my sister's
friends naked and not even getting a boner, I pretty much figured I was
gay. My parents were always very accepting of people that were "different"
than us and I wasn't really worried about it. About a week after reading
about gay teens on the internet, I decided to approach Ben to see what he
thought. He was a little put off by me jacking off thinking about him on
occasion, but he helped me determine that there was nothing wrong with me
and I was still a normal teenage boy. This discussion led me to come out to
my family. I decided that waiting to come out would just be pointless to
delay the inevitable. Fortunately they told me that they would love me no
matter what and would accept me no matter who I fell in love with. Annie
actually became very protective of me when it came to school and made sure
I wouldn't be picked on. She read about a new program that some high
schools across the nation were implementing.

Annie had my dad, who was the superintended of our school district, start
up a Gay-Straight Alliance, and had her friends, including her male
friends, join. She then used the perfect cover for me by, "forcing" me to
attend the meetings and become a member of the club. I, of course, made Ben
come as well so I wouldn't be alone. This deal worked out well for him as
he met his girlfriend Lauren there.

About a year ago, Lauren introduced me to her cousin Nathan. Nathan was
simply gorgeous. He was about three inches shorter than my six foot frame,
and was extremely lanky. I really don't know how his mom found pants to fit
him, he was that thin. It wasn't that he was anorexic, he just couldn't put
on weight. Nathan had this sexy spiked brown hair that allowed his bright
green eyes to capture anyone's attention. He came out to Lauren about a
week before we met, and she thought we would be perfect for one
another. After our first date, I knew he would make a great boyfriend. We
went to the movies once and dinner another time until I finally asked him
to make it official. He quickly said yes and I was ecstatic to have my
first ever relationship. Nathan was a little more flamboyant than me, so
naturally I spending more time with him outed me to the entire school. I
was ok with that because I thought I was in love with him.

Nathan was definitely more into sex than I was. Don't get me wrong I love
Love LOVE sex, but I wanted to wait to make sure that he was the right one
before I gave him my cherry. He said that was perfectly fine with him, and
we settled to some jacking off and that was about it. Nathan did give me
head once, but I just wasn't ready for that. Overall, we had a pretty
decent chemistry. I would say the biggest sticking point was the fact that
he didn't enjoy the game of hockey like I did. But I figured most gay guys
wouldn't go for that, so I really didn't mind that much. I thought Nathan
and I had a very strong relationship. Boy was I wrong.

Turns out jacking off wasn't enough for him. I was on a training run during
summer for hockey and decided it would be a nice idea to stop in and see my
boyfriend and take a breather. We were about a year into our relationship,
and things were pretty steady. It was just about lunchtime when I rang the
doorbell at Nathan's house. When he came to the door, he was wearing only a
pair of shorts and seemed to be sweating a little bit. I figured since both
his parents worked and he was an only child, he was just waking up and
ridding himself of his morning wood. Until I heard the voice of another
boy, Jack Erikson, whose voice I recognized from school, coming from
upstairs.

"Who is at the door baby? Is it the pizza already?" Jack inquired.

I was crushed. I didn't even give Nathan time to explain before I screamed
that we were over. I found out from Ben that Nathan had been sleeping with
Jack for about a month since I wouldn't have sex with him. This was just
terrible. My heart was in pieces. Ben had tried to console me, along with
Annie and my parents. It took me about two weeks until I felt back to
normal. I lost about 10 pounds and was kinda pale from staying inside and
moping around every day. Just when I got back on my feet, Mom dropped the
idea of moving on us. To not have to go back to school and face Jack and
Nathan sounded ideal to me. I was thrilled to leave all these nasty
memories behind, and start over fresh. Leaving Ben was sure to be
difficult, and when I told him we cried together for almost the whole
night.

But here we are in lovely Southern California. I already saw a pretty cute
brunette boy skateboarding in the neighborhood, so I think things will be
just fine. Annie and I just got to go to a car dealership and pick out our
new cars! Annie chose a new 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 Convertible, while I
went with a new Land Rover Range Rover Sport. Yeah I think I could
definitely get used to this So Cal lifestyle. The real test comes tomorrow:
the first day of school.

Author's Note: OK so this chapter was written in a different person's point
of view. I thought it would be the best way to introduce Kayden's
background and history. So I am asking my reader's opinion about this. Now
I have pretty much decided the next chapter would be written from Kayden's
point of view as well with his first day of school paralleling what I said
from Isaac's point of view. But after that I haven't determined whether or
not I should alternate viewpoints (i.e. write chapter 5 in Isaac's point of
view and then chapter 6 in Kayden's point of view) What do you think would
work better? Please email me and let me know what you think at
rylanhanley@gmail.com. Sorry if this was confusing haha.

Thanks for reading!
