Let me take you back to the fall of 1999, I was just entering the 9th grade
and living in a new city. I didn't know anybody and I felt out of place. Let
me introduce myself, my name is Bryan Langdon. I'm 5'9 with brown light
chocolate skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair. I'm not the fittest nor am I
fat, just somewhere in between. I'm gay, and i've known for a long time. I
just haven't come out to my friends nor family yet... Now, back to the
story...I arrived at Skyview Junior High and I was in awe. It was a big
building but it was only one story. As i got off the bus, I see people
greeting each other "Oh My GOD! I haven't seen you in forever" squealed a
girl. I walked through the doors and was greeted by the principal. "Hello,
young man and welcome to Skyview Junior High", and I responded "Great to be
here" when im totally lying. I was walking towards my first class and I
bumped into him, the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen, "Sorry didn't see
you there" he said. "No...no it was my fault" i said looking into his
crystal blue eyes. As he walked away a voice behind me said "That's Tyler
Harris, beautiful isn't he? too bad he's an 8th grader and all the girls are
after him" I turned around and it was one of my friends from my old school.
Rosie...she moved to Skyview 2 years ago and that was the last time I saw
her. So seeing her was great, "ROSIE! I can't believe you're here!" her eyes
got bigger and with excitment she screamed "BRYAN! it's been a long time!!"
She walked me to my first class and it was English...oh boy! She told me
that she has the same lunch as me and we'll talk later. The class was so
boring that I fell asleep, and all I could think about was Tyler and how
cute he is. The morning went by and it was lunch time, Rosie was at a table
with her friends and invited me to sit with them. I did, and we caught up on
old times. Walking through the door was Tyler and I was following him with
my wandering eyes. His short dirty blond hair, his wicked smile and his
beautiful blue eyes made me melt in my chair. Although he was a year younger
than I am he looked like he belonged in the 7th grade. All the girls started
talking about him and how they want to be with and that it's going to be his
best year yet.

"LANGDON! ON THE FIELD NOW!" Coach Colmath said. It's now 2000 and it's
spring. I joined the school track team to get into shape and to make more
friends. After a few months i've gained a lot of friends, mostly girls and
some guy friends. Still none of them knew that I am gay. I ran on the field,
and I was late. Just for that I made the whole team run an extra 3 laps.
Let's say that none of them were happy...they should be...it was our first
day of track practice. I'm not cut out for running this many laps but some
how I got through it. On the 4th lap i was getting really tired and I
started to walk. From behind me a familiar voice told me "Hey man, keep
goin. I know you can do it." and it was Tyler running. He slowed his speed
down so he can run at the same pace as me. "Coach doesn't like it when
people walk, he'll give you hell for that. I should know" and with a wink he
sped up joining his friends in front of me. I had a smile on my face, I
thought to myself "Did Tyler actually talk to me...and more...winked?" I
got this tingling in my body and I was able to finish the laps strong.

It was a strong season and it had to come to an end. Tyler came up to me
after the team party and punched me on the shoulder, "What was that for?" I
asked. "Just saying hi" he said coyly. "Look Bryan, you are an amazing team
member and im glad that we got to be on the same team. I know you'll do a
lot better in high school next year. who knew that you are a fast
runner...you have to be at least 200 lbs" ...Thanks, i thought. "No! not
that im implying anything...ok im going to stop. I think my grave got a lot
deeper." he laughed. That was a year that I would never forget.

Fast forward to 2004, Im a freshman at Western University studying
Communications and music on the side. It's been 4 years since Tyler has
spoken to me and I wondered whatever happend to him. Since I was going to
visit my family back home, I decided to take a little detour to my old high
school to see all my teachers and friends who are still in the hell hole
called high school. I parked my car in the vistors section and walked to the
familiar steps of Braugitam High. As i got to the top of the steps I bumped
into a guy who was running to get to his car. "Damn It! Sorry man I wasn't
looking" he said. "It's ok, just don't do it again" i said jokingly. "Holy
shit! Bryan? Is that you?" "Tyler? what the hell?! how are you? I didn't
recognize you, damn you've grown." Seeing Tyler again made my heart jump, he
came up to me and he gave me a hug. He has never gave me a hug before and
this was a suprise. We tried catching up but he had to leave so he rummaged
through his backpack and took out a piece of paper and a pen. He wrote down
his number and told me to give him a call if I wanted to hang with him. He
left and i just stood there...thinking that Tyler Harris actually touched me
and he wanted to hang out with me! Let me fill you in on what happend in
high school, I stopped doing track and concentrated on theatre. Tyler
entered high school in 2001 and we never talked. He was too busy being the
high school track star leading them to consecutive state championships,
while I entertained the masses with acting and singing. My last year of high
school, I saw him at a dance grinding with some girl and it was hard to see
him do that because even though we didn't talk I have feelings for the guy.
Ever since the track incident in jr. high i couldn't keep him off my mind. I
just left the dance floor and cried because the person that I have strong
feelings for is grinding with some girl who thinks that she's getting some.
All my friends now know that I am gay and are very accepting. I don't have
to hide anymore and it was liberating. So my high school experience was a
good one. Seeing Tyler again rekindled my feelings for him. And now...he
wants to hang out with me. After visting all my friends, i went home and no
one was home. I was already getting bored so i digged through my pockets and
found his number. I picked up the phone and my hands started shaking...I was
nervous! For the first time Im actually nervous...in college I was the man,
I went out with a lot of guys. Yet I'm still a virgin, you see sex to me is
sacred. Im not going to put out for any guy, it has to be the right one. I
dialed the number and it was Tyler on the other line, after some little
chatting we decided to go get pizza. We met at the local pizzaria and we
were chatting up a storm. He was telling me that he held the all time record
in the 400 meter run at Braugitam and that no one will ever break it. And I
was being boring and telling him that college is going well and that all the
boys there are really really dumb and horny. I told him how my roommate was
a complete ass and that im in the middle of moving out and into my own
apartment. All I got from Tyler was a "cool".

"Something on your mind Tyler?"

"No, not really...my girlfriend and I just broke up" his smile went away and
his face got serious

"Im sorry, don't worry about it...Im single..all the guys up at Western are
jerks"

As I looked at Tyler his eyes started to well up, and he started fidgeting.
Now I knew something was up.

"Tyler, dude. There is something on your mind, you can tell me anything"

He looked around as if he was going to tell a big secret. "Well...I think
I'm...well...gay..."

As he said this I was doing backflips in my mind. The guy who I had the
hugest crush on is GAY! But he wasn't done...

"And um...ever since you graduated all I can ever think about was you. And I
know we haven't talked since jr. high and I'm really sorry about that. But
whenever I see you I get this feeling inside, like we were meant to be. I
got scared and I tried to not think about it and I started to date girls.
And everytime I see you with your friends you are always smiling, making
someone laugh, just being you I knew that you were the one for me..."

I was sitting there completley floored, the guy of my dreams professed his
love to me. I knew that this was going to be a very good night.

This is my very first time writing a story. I put a little of my own
experiences in here. And trust me it does get better! comments are very
