As Kevin prepared a snack, he looked over his shoulder to see Aaron
looking down sullenly.

"What's wrong," asked Kevin looking steadily into his eyes with concern.

"Nothing, I was just thinking of this great thing that we have going.
I don't want it to end. But you know that there will be hard times. You
know that there will be fights, quarrels, and," his expressionless face
turned cheery for a moment as he said," and.. all that fun stuff but it
will all eventually end. Now I may sound like an old man thinking about
the end of his life and I know I shouldn't be concerned with this
because we will have plenty of good times together but I just cant shake
the feeling of knowing this."

It was a moving speech and on top of that, it was true. He knew that also,
but didn't take the time and emotion to think about.

"But that time is a long way away, Aaron. It will not come any time in
the near future. You have to put those thought to rest and dwell on the
present. Like this," with that he walked to Aaron, bent forward as Aaron
was on a stool and locked lips once again with his lover. It was an
intense kiss. Kevin worked his tongue all over Aaron's mouth, tasting
every morsel and area of his partner's luscious mouth. As he broke the
kiss, he stopped only a few inches from his face and locked his eyes to
Aaron's eyes. They were sparking with happiness. He just stood there
looking into Aaron's eyes, tracing everywhere on his face, taking in
the beauty.

"Trust me, Aaron; we will never end. Our bond will last to wherever we
go after death."

"I believe you. I believe you with all my heart. Something spoken with
such power, lust and pure knowing must be true."

"Okay man, don't get all scientific on me. Lets just have our snack and
enjoy the time we have together."

"Agreed," said Aaron with a smile. So they got out some bread, ham and
American cheese and made a couple sandwiches. But it wasn't the food
that was the enjoyable part, it was the fact they were together. Doing
things together and for each other. It was as if they were an old married
couple and it was just another routine. Kevin would slip out two pieces
of bread from the bag, passing them to Aaron who would add the ingredients,
then moving it back to Kevin who would add what additional toppings he
wanted on it.

When they finished preparing their food they walked back into the living
room and sat on the big couch in front of the TV. They didn't even turn
it on though, they both sat at the same time facing each other, eating
hungrily, staring into each other's eyes.

"Want to go to the park," asked Aaron.

"Sure, that would be fun. We could look at all the lovely birds, collect
leaves, and make out passionately in front of old people playing chess,"
replied Kevin with a laugh.

They both fell back into the couch and laughed. It was a good stress reliever
and they would both do it many times throughout their lifetime.

So they went to the park. It took them 20 minutes to walk there. It was 6
blocks away, but they got there. Though their feet were hurting, they got
there. Aaron was the first to plunk down on the nearest bench they came
across. Kevin followed suit and they both let out a heavy sigh of relief.

"Whoo. That's one thing I always hated," said Kevin.

"What?" asked Aaron playfully.

"Walking! Walking, walking, running, jogging, sprinting. Anything having to
do with using your legs," said Kevin in an almost angry tone, "this is why
we invented cars, planes, trains, and all that to help us get to where we
need to go faster and without using our own strength!"

"Calm down, calm down. We're here aren't we. And we are going to have a good
time," said Aaron with a wink.

Kevin hadn't thought about what they would do once they got there. He was so
bent on keeping his legs moving one in front of the other the whole way there
that he wasn't really thinking too clearly.

"Oh we are, are we? What will we do," said Kevin, matching Aaron's playful tone.

"Oh I don't know, I thought that kissing scene in front of the old people
sounded pretty good."

They didn't laugh this time though. Kevin just kept looking at Aaron's eyes.
They shone with the essence of a young boy.

"Sounds good to me," replied Kevin with a straight face.

Aaron just sat there and smiled. After they were rested up and regained their
energy they both set out on a trail through the park. It was a rather large park,
that went at least 5 miles on with trails through the town's lake.

They came across a bridge after they had been walking-- this time at their own
pace taking frequent bench breaks-- and stopped in the middle to admire the
small river below.

"It must run into one of the lake's openings," remarked Kevin.

"Maybe."

Then suddenly Aaron felt a warm tingling in his lips and his eyes were staring
straight into Kevin's. After a few seconds, he broke the kiss as quickly as
he started it and began trotting across the bridge like nothing happened.

He shouted out to Aaron when he got 3/4 of the way across, who was still
standing in the center, looking straight ahead, "Come on, you'll get plenty
more later."

They both laughed as they playfully ran through the trails, pushing each
other, hugging, kissing and just plain ol' having a good time.

They left before sunset, so they could both get home before dinner. When they
met the parting crossroads, they said goodbye and sneaked in a little kiss.
That day had been a glorious one and there were to be many to come to them.
