What Gets Around Comes Around Chapter 1

A special thanks to Ed for his editorial help.

People often do things that are very harmful. But teenagers can be very
cruel. This is the story of one such cruel boy who has to learn the hard
way 'what gets around comes around'. Although this is a work of fiction
it's based in part on things that have really happened. For those of you
who read my last story 'My Bodyguard', this one is quite different. This
is a story about revenge, paybacks, and ultimately reconciliation.

Although this is not a porn story, it does deal with sexual relationships
between teenage boys. If that offends you don't read it. Also if you are
not old enough or it's illegal where you live don't read it.

*******

Curt is what you might call the all-American boy. He's an all-star track
member and also is on the swim team. He gets straight A's and is one of
the most popular guys in his class. He's 5' 11" and 150 pounds with brown
hair and dark brown eyes. He has a good-looking girl friend who is a
cheerleader and also very popular. He hangs around with the jocks and has
many friends. He has just turned 16. Right now he's on a personal quest
to expose all the fags at his school.

Both his parents are bigots to the extreme. His dad says that blacks,
Mexicans, and queers are only good for target practice. They are members
of a church that preaches hate and fear. Both his parents work at the
local college. His dad is the track coach and his mom works as an
administrative assistant. They are by no means rich but they are well off
enough to fit into the upper class of the town.

Curt has lived in San Angelo, TX his whole life. It's a town set in its
ways in west Texas. Although it's a town of 80,000 people it has the charm
of a small town. They don't take well to outsiders. If someone from out
of town opens a gas station, every gas station in town will lower their
prices until the newcomer goes out of business.

Deep down Curt knows that he's attracted to other boys and that causes him
to hate gays that much more. Curt also has the ability to tell who is gay.
He doesn't understand how he has this ability but it has come in handy the
last several months. He has been able to expose and out two different
queers at school. Curt's method of operation is to befriend someone he
thinks is gay, and then wait for them to hit on him, then he tells the
whole school about it. Both boys were forced to drop out of school.

The last boy Curt outted, Brian, spent weeks in the hospital after a severe
beating at school. After that Brian moved out of town to Dallas. What
Curt doesn't know is that Brian had a boyfriend that is in Curt's group of
friends. His name is John and he's on the swim team with Curt. John has
noticed Curt checking out different guys on the swim team and knows that
Curt is not entirely straight.

John is 6' tall with blond hair and blue eyes. The only ones who know that
he's gay are his parents and his boyfriend Brian who is now in Dallas. He
told his parents he was gay when he was thirteen and they have been very
supportive. They also told him he's better off keeping his sexuality a
secret. Although John is upset that his boyfriend was outted and had to
leave, he was also disappointed that he hit on Curt.

John's parents are very well off. His dad owns several oil wells and with
the price of gas these days he does quite well. His mom manages the local
car dealership owned by her father. One day it will be hers. They live in
one of the biggest houses in town with a swimming pool and tennis court.
John is an only child and also just turned 16. For his birthday he got a
brand new Chevy 4 X 4 pickup truck from his parents.

John doesn't hate Curt but he decided to teach him a lesson. He knew he
would need to be careful and he came up with a plan, a plan to give Curt a
taste of his own medicine. You see, every girl at school wanted him and
about a third of the guys. John has a different girl hanging around him
every week just to keep up a good front but he was totally committed to
Brian. He just knew if he used his natural charm and good looks he could
become best friends with Curt and perhaps Curt would fall in love with him.
At lunch he put his plan into motion.

Everyday the same group of the 'in crowd' sat together. It included all
the top jocks in the school. John picked a seat close to Curt. The
conversation centered around who was going with who and who has broken up.

"Do you have any new revelations on who the latest queer boys are, Curt?"
John asked.

"I think that Bruce Cooper is a fag but I have no proof yet," Curt replied.

"I tell you what, you have been right so far and if you think he's queer,
he probably is. You want to come over to my house after swim practice
today and have some fun?"

"Sure but I have to be home by 6:00 or my parents will skin me alive."

"Cool, I have a pool but after swim practice I don't feel much like
swimming but we can play tennis or basketball or pool, whatever you like."

"Great, I love to play tennis."

After that John stood up and patted Curt on the shoulder and said, "See you
later, bud."

Curt felt lightning go up his spine when John touched his shoulder. Of all
his friends John was the one he really looked up to. He could have any
girl he wanted. His folks had more money than they knew what to do with.
He'd never been invited over to John's house before but had heard how nice
it is. John is also a bit mysterious. He's quiet most of the time and
this intrigues Curt. Also he's also easy on the eyes. Curt has had a
well-suppressed crush on John for several years and often checked him out
in the locker room and liked what he saw.

Right after swim practice, the two boys walked out to John's truck.

"Here, you drive," John says, handing the keys to Curt.

"Are you sure? I've only drove my parents' car and I'd hate to have
something happen to your new truck."

"Well, then it's about time you drove something bigger than the minivan
your parents drive. Anyway I got good insurance."

Curt started up the truck and drove to John's house. He's surprised at how
large it is. He parks the truck in the driveway and the boys get out.

"You want something to drink? Coke or iced tea?"

"I'll take some iced tea."

John unlocked the front door and the boys stepped in. The main entryway is
as big as Curt's whole house. It has a vaulted ceiling with skylights.
John leads Curt into the kitchen and pours each of them some iced tea.

"So what do you wanta do? My dad is gone this week and mom won't be home
until 9:00 o'clock. I can do pretty much whatever I want as long as I
don't burn down the place."

"How about we just talk and get to know each other better. I mean you
really don't say that much at school and I really don't know you all that
well."

"That sounds good to me. Why don't we go outside on the porch and chat.
Let me change first. Do you get high?"

"Yes, I did like to smoke some once in a while. I'm no pot head or nothing
like that."

"Me neither but it helps me to relax after a long day and unwind after
practice. I grow my own. We have 100 acres and I grow only the best. Let
me go change and roll a joint and be right back. Make yourself at home."

'This is great', thought John. 'He's been here 10 minutes and I've already
found a weakness. He's probably only gotten high once or twice and once he
gets a buzz off this stuff he'll be wanting to come over here to get high
every day.' John smiled to himself and hurried, changing, and rolling up
the joint. He grabbed his lighter and flew back down the stairs. He led
Curt outside to the porch. The porch was also as big as Curt's whole house
with a BBQ pit and smoker on one side. It's late October and a very
pleasant day in west Texas. John hands Curt the joint and the lighter and
Curt lights the joint. He coughs violently after the first drag is inhaled
and hands it to John. John takes a big hit and passes it back to Curt.

"Good tasting stuff?"

"Oh yes," cough, "real mellow."

After smoking the joint John is buzzed and Curt is stoned! He had only
gotten high several times but has never had anything this good.

"So you think you're going to break the state record in the 200 meter this
year, Curt?"

"If I do I'm going to blow this town and go to school in Austin. If I set
the state record, with my grades I'll get a scholarship for sure."

"Come on, Curt, we both know that you'll get your scholarship right here in
town from your father. There's no way he's going to let you run off to
Austin or anywhere else. If you try he'll break both your legs. There is
no way his 'STAR' son is going to be on any other track team but his."

"You're probably right but someday I'm going to get out of this town.
Anyway I'm not the mystery man here. My life is pretty well planned out.
What do you plan on doing with your life, John?"

"Hmmm, I want to be a lawyer. I know I'm quiet most of the time but when I
do talk I choose my words very carefully. I think I'd like to get paid to
talk for a living and make my words count."

"Want to go shoot a game or two of pool?"

"Sure, let's go. But I must warn you I play for blood and I'll cut you no
slack."

"That's fine by me."

John led Curt into the kitchen and refilled their iced tea. Then he showed
him the poolroom. The boys' competitive juices started flowing. John
found that Curt was indeed good but not good enough. However, John let
Curt win every game. After several games they had come down from their
buzz, and it was time for Curt to go home. They walked outside and got in
John's truck, this time John driving.

"I had fun today. Thanks, John."

"You can come over anytime you want unless I'm out with some girl or
something. I had a good time today too. If you wanta double date sometime
that would be fun too. I know what a drag it is to go out on a date
without a car."

"That would be great. Hmmm, John, why are you being so nice to me?"

"I guess it's because of you exposing those gay guys. I'd rather be your
friend than your enemy."

"Just doing my duty, buddy."

John had no problem hiding the rage he felt at that moment. He knew his
day would come.
