The Potter's Wheel
Chapter Fourteen
Hey Jude

			  Friday October 9, 2009

Junior was in his office by 730. He wanted to make sure everything was in
order for the owner to review. He checked and double checked to make sure
all missing invoices were in place. He was sure that the lawyers would
accept the accountant's first review and not do another full audit prior to
settlement. If the invoices were missing this morning his boss would
surely notice.

He was jumpy and irritable. He hadn't slept more than an hour. Between
this meeting and his mother harping on him about paying for a lawyer, his
nerves were shot. The last thing he needed right now was her stirring up
trouble. He hadn't explained the rift between he and Brandon, nor why his
father was so upset. He needed to get through this first. Then he could
decide how to rid himself of his mother.

It was 1045 when his boss passed him the last file and said, "Wonderful job
as always, George."

"Thank you sir," George said as he gathered his belongings. His heart
finally returned to a normal rate for the first time all morning. While
the boss was reviewing the financials, he decided he would wait for the day
before closing, to remove the invoices again, just in case the old man
wanted to see the information again. "By the way sir, have you met the new
owners yet?" George asked.

"Well no, I've only dealt with the attorney. It seems that the company is
owned by multiple trusts and he works for them. The only thing I know is
that he flew to North Carolina to meet with the two principal men whenever
he was here. I drove him to the airport a couple of times."

Junior's blood went cold at the mention of North Carolina. He gathered the
rest of his files, thanked his boss and headed for his office. By the time
he was in his office with the door closed, he had sweat through his shirt
and he was almost hyperventilating. He dropped the box of files and sat
behind his desk, leaning back in his chair he stared at the ceiling.

He knew that Jim had gotten a decent settlement when his wife was killed
and Matt had inherited some kind of money from an uncle. But there was no
way they could possibly have the kind of money to buy this company. It was
listed at over ten million. Even if they did have the money, why would
want to buy it? They didn't know anything about the business. No, this
didn't make sense. Jim and Matt weren't the only two guys in North
Carolina.

Turning on his computer he tried to get his day started. He couldn't clear
his head due to his mother and her obsession with Brandon's children.
There was no way he could help her pursue her idea of suing for visitation
without exposing the cause of the rift and that was the last thing he
wanted to do.

He drummed his fingers on the desk trying to clear his head. It would be
difficult, the next few weeks. But he had come this far and he wasn't
going to screw it up now. Opening up an encrypted file on his computer his
heart swelled. There he was, his son Jude. He had followed the boy all
though his life. The boy—well young man now was the product of an
affair with a secretary twenty years ago. A deal was struck with his
mother for her silence and Junior paid every month until he was eighteen.
It was the main reason he started to embezzle from the company. Jude was
now a Marine stationed at Quantico, Virginia. Junior paid a private
detective to take these shots; this was his favorite—shirtless, smiling
with a football in his hand. `Maybe it's about time I met my son,' he
thought as he closed the file.

______

Jim was tasked with accompanying Barry to the hospital for a "virtual
simulation" session. There would be another CT scan and measuring for a
special molded device that would help Barry maintain the same position for
each treatment.

They had just finished the mold and were waiting for the tech to return to
place the small colored ink tattoos on Barry to help align radiation with
the target area. Barry gave Jim a weak smile and while trying to remain
upbeat said, "I would have never guessed my first tattoo would be to help
keep me from dying."

Jim took Barry's hand and looked him straight in the eye. "Bazza, you are
not going to die. You just have to keep strong and think positive. Ryan,
Matt, and I love you—need you to stay strong." Jim had to stop before
he lost it completely. He grabbed Barry and hugged him hard. He knew that
people didn't understand how he could love two men, but he felt no need to
explain. Matt was his soul and Barry was his passion. The relationship
worked. He was happier than he had ever been in his life and he no longer
cared if people got it or not.

Barry pulled back and looked at Jim through the tears in his eyes. "Don't
worry mate, I'm not going anywhere," he said before kissing Jim deeply.

"Mr. Parsons we're ready," said the tech as he entered the room after a
quick knock. He was now standing wide-eyed looking at Barry and Jim
kissing. When Barry pulled back and looked at the guy he thought he saw
him wink. "Sorry guys, I should have waited for you to say come in."

"No worries, Jim is just trying to keep my spirits up," Barry said with a
smile.

"Lucky you," the tech said, causing the guys to laugh out loud.

_____

Matt crossed the Ben Franklin Bridge into Jersey. He was headed for the
Harley-Davidson dealership. He and Barry were buying Jim a motorcycle. As
he drove along the highway, it was amazing to him how much things had
changed since he had moved away. Yet it still felt like home.

Walking into the showroom his mind was everywhere but on picking out a
bike. There were so many things going on in his life at the moment. The
move to Delaware, the adoption, buying the company, Denise and Tina having
triplets, his own work, and of course MJ and Jimmer. Then the biggest
issue of all, Barry's illness. He was beginning to feel overwhelmed and
wondered how he was going to handle all that was coming and make the right
decisions.

While thinking, he was looking at the bikes, all lined up shiny and new,
wondering which one Jim would pick for himself. When he turned around, he
saw sitting in the middle of the floor the bike that had Jim's name written
all over it.

It was a FXDF Dyna Fat Bob and just like Jim, screamed muscle and cool. As
he stood staring at the bike, he thought about Jim and about their life.
Their life today was a long way from the two eight year old boys who found
each other so many years ago. There were even the changes since they found
one another again. The biggest change was Jim's idea to bring Barry into
their relationship. It was an amazing suggestion but sometimes when he was
feeling insecure, he questioned the real reason Jim suggested it.

Matt thought at the time that Jim had done it mainly to satisfy both of
their needs. But now he was wondering if Jim noticed how attracted he was
to Barry and was afraid he would cheat. But that didn't make sense. He
and Jim both really loved Barry, and now he had his soul mate in Jim and
now his playmate. As soon as the thought entered his head he smiled—he
loved Barry with all his heart. The love they shared was a love borne out
of friendship and passion. When it came to Jim, their love was so deep
that he found it hard to name it—one thing he did know was that it was a
love that he would never be able to replace or live without.

His thoughts returned to Barry, `What the fuck am I doing?' Matt thought,
`Do I really love him or am I using him? Worse yet, are we both using him
just to keep things interesting,' he continued staring at the bike as he
questioned his and Jim's motives.

"So you like Fat Bobs?" Matt turned and found a salesman; and he was a very
hot young guy. He was dressed entirely in black, tight black jeans
stretched across thickly muscled thighs; he had wide shoulders, thick arms,
and small waist covered in the typical black and orange Harley shirt.
Looking up at Matt was a 5' 7" stud with a shaved head and dazzling smile.

"Negative, only Bobs with muscles," Matt answered with a smirk.

Not missing a beat the salesman replied, "How `bout Carlos with muscles?"
As he raised his arm and showed a huge bicep.

"In a heart-beat handsome, but I have two husbands at home that might have
a problem with it," Matt said, and then enjoyed the look on the young man's
face.

"Two, wow, you are the greedy one aren't you?"

Matt laughed at the kid's gutsy reply, "Nah, just lucky."

An hour and a lot of flirting later, Matt was in his car ready to head back
to Philly and there was a very happy young man who was going out to
celebrate a cash sale with extras. Carlos showed him a replacement seat
that would allow Jim to have a rider and arranged for the custom paint job
changing the color to emerald green.

Matt was thrilled with the bike, and he knew Jim would be thrilled. What
he wasn't happy with was how he was feeling about Barry especially since he
had to really fight the urge to take the kid up on his offer and fuck him
silly. How could he be led astray so easily? Did Jim realize that he could
stray so easily and bring Barry into the relationship to prevent it? Maybe
Jim was worried about himself straying. Were he and Jim being selfish?
Was he strong enough to keep fighting temptation? He would love to hear
what Barry and Jim thought about it but he didn't want to upset Barry right
now with this discussion. He would have to talk to Jim about it. Then he
remembered the small piece of paper he carried in wallet, it was a
meditation from Thomas Merton:

Perhaps I am stronger than I think. Perhaps I am even afraid of my
strength, and turn it against myself, thus making myself weak. Making
myself secure. Making myself guilty. Perhaps I am most afraid of the
strength of God in me. Perhaps I would rather be guilty and weak in
myself, than strong in Him whom I cannot understand.

He read the words as he had so many times before. He closed his eyes and
repeated them silently. Over and over he repeated the words. He could
feel the doubt leaving his mind and soon he felt calm and at peace once
again. As he started the car, he turned onto the highway, feeling renewed,
refreshed and ready to face all that was to come. ____

Conner could feel himself starting to wear out. He was dripping in sweat
and his breath was becoming ragged. It was the sight of Mike's hot bubble
butt that kept him moving. They were starting basketball practice next
week and were stepping up their training in preparation. It always amazed
Conner the number of guys who would show up at the first practice out of
shape.

Even with the exertion of weight training and now running four miles, the
sight of Mike's ass and the thought of diving head first into his sweaty
thighs and sucking him until he blew a massive load made his cock begin to
chub up in his jock. He increased his speed and moved up next to Mike who
glanced over with his sexy grin and said, "Last one back to the house sucks
cock," and then with a laugh he sped up weaving through the students making
their way along Locust Walk before having to stop for the traffic light at
40th and Locust.

Conner caught the yellow light for the oncoming traffic out of the corner
of his eye and took off running. He wanted to make Mike work for it, not
loose. When they came stumbling into the kitchen, panting and sweating,
Conner looked at his friend as he grabbed a bottle of water and took a long
drink. He knew they were alone so he got down on his knees right in front
of Mike and stuck his face in his sweaty crotch and inhaled.

"Damn boy, can't you wait until we get upstairs," Mike said as he could
feel his cock growing in his jock.

"No, I want it hot and sweaty," he said pulling Mike's shorts down.

Pulling back, Mike said, "Come on man, wait till we get upstairs so I can
lay back and enjoy it."

Fifteen minutes later Conner had Mike lying back on the bed, feet on the
floor and legs spread. He had brought him to the edge three different times
and was now busy licking his balls to let him cool down.

"Come on Con, let me cum man! I can't take it anymore," Mike pleaded.
Connor just hummed "un-uh" and continued to relish the taste and smell of
his jock buddy's crotch while he stroked his own hard cock. After a few
minutes more he decided to let him out of his misery and moved back on to
the throbbing pole and swallowed it all the way down his throat.

"Oh fuck baby, I'm going to shoot a huge load," Mike called out, "oh yeah
Jas take my cum baby," and then started to blast a heavy load into Conner's
surprised mouth. As soon as he said it, Mike realized what he said but it
was too late. He was pumping a shot after shot into Conner's mouth. When
he finally drained Mike's snake, he pulled off and looked up at his friend,
his own cock going limp in his hand from the shock of Mike's plea.

"What the fuck Mike! Calling out your buddy's woman's name while I'm
getting you off," Conner said incredulously, "that is so wrong on so many
levels." Mike lay on the bed with his eyes wide at the shock of hearing
the words that came from his friend's mouth. Suddenly he sat up and
grabbed Conner and hugged him.

"Conner, I'm sorry—it's not what you think," Mike sputtered.

"Dude, you're cumming in my mouth and calling out the name of our best
friend's woman! What am I supposed to think? Better yet, what would Billy
think?"

Mike went white, and now he was scrambling. "Look, I'm sorry man. You know
I'm really straight," he said weakly earning a frown from Conner. "I mean
I love what you do for me, but man while you're enjoying yourself, I'm
pretending you're a chick making me feel so good."

Conner gave him a crooked looked and laughed, "Look man, I understand that.
But you can't be fantasizing about Jasmine; that is just not cool."

"I know man, but she is just so hot I can't help myself."

"Well check this buddy. I'm done sucking your cock until you cure your
obsession."

Mike looked dejected for a minute and then smiled, "Okay, I know how to fix
this. When you blow me I'll watch porn and concentrate on the actresses,"
he finished looking very proud of himself.

"That'll work, but I'd rather you were thinking of me," Conner said as he
punched Mike in the arm. Mike winched, and not because of the shot in the
arm; it was the idea that his obsession was revealed.

_____

The house was quiet when Matt walked into the kitchen. He found Jim sitting
in the living room working on his laptop. He walked up behind him and
wrapped his arms around his partner and kissed his neck. "Hey Gunner, how'd
Bazza make out today?"

Jim turned and kissed Matt deeply. "He did well; he's upstairs taking a
nap." He went on to recap the visit and the tech catching them kissing.
"What have you been up too?" Jim asked.

"I had some shopping to do, and don't ask any questions," Matt said with a
smile. "What are you up to?"

"Not much, I talked to my dad and checked on the boys. Everything is fine
at home. The boys are having a ball with soccer and busy with their
homework."

"That's great, listen, can we take a walk?"

Jim stood. Something about Matt was off and it concerned him. Matt was
always so steady. However this afternoon he seemed a bit off, "Sure buddy,
what's up?"

Matt looked down nervously and then up at Jim, "Nothing, I've just been
thinking about a few things."

"Okay, how about going for a run, Baz should be sleeping for about for a
couple of hours."

"Sounds good. Let's get changed and ask the boys for a route," Jim said as
they headed upstairs. They found Mike and Conner working in the study room
on the second floor. Matt looked at the two young studs. It was still
warm, early in October, and their naked bodies were a sight to behold.
They were both long and lean. But for some reason he found their hands and
feet to be especially sexy, `Good God, I'm turning into some kind of perv,'
Matt thought.

After changing they took off on the route the boys gave them and soon found
themselves heading east on Market street and across the Schuylkill
(pronounced School-kill) and hanging a left on 20th street heading north
and finding themselves in Logan's square at the Swann Fountain. They
continued west on the Ben Franklin Parkway towards the Art Museum and Akins
Oval; then they circled the Washington Monument and made their way across
Kelly Drive to the base of the famous Rocky steps in front of the Art
Museum.

Jim looked at Matt and smiled. Matt knew exactly what he wanted and
started up the steps with Jim hot on his heels. When they reached the top
together Jim grabbed him and hugged him and then said in between panting,
"Are you ready to tell me what's bothering you?"
