A Father's Love

Chapter 12

By Alex

"All day, just you and me--" David responded softly. Initially, he didn't
pick up on the meaning behind what Tyler had said, but after a few seconds
it dawned on him. "We're not going to go anywhere today that you don't
want to go, and if you don't want to get something, then we won't get it."

Tyler quietly replied, "Okay."

Still holding onto the hug, David took a few steps sideways with Tyler, a
half a second behind on each one, until David was leaning back against the
countertop. He pulled Tyler in for a good hug and rested his cheek against
the top of his head.

Tyler was quickly being immersed in a world of much greater wealth than
he'd ever known, or even realistically imagined. He remembered back to his
friend's who had houses on Pokegama or Split-Hand lakes back home, but the
house he was in now was way out of the league of even the best of those.
Not only was his house now ON the ocean, but there were two guys that
worked for his dad doing the things that Tyler used to do as chores. The
guys at his school in Minnesota, who had everything done for them, were the
pricks that made Tyler feel like he and his mom never had money. If there
was a school function that cost any substantial amount of money, they were
the ones who didn't have to participate in the fundraisers, because their
parents would just pay their way. He didn't want to turn into one of those
guys - the type that takes his parents for granted.

David deliberated for a few minutes about what to say or what to do,
continuously being distracted by the warm embrace of his son. "We can just
go walk around after breakfast, if you'd rather do that than try on more
clothes," David paused, "but what do you say we go out and see what's
happening?"

Tyler nodded and as they let go of the hug, he glanced up to see his dad's
smile before turning around to head out of the kitchen.

"Should I put on something else?" Tyler asked, looking down at the tight
white shirt he currently had on.

"You look great Tyler; there aren't very many people that could get away
with just that, but" David paused, "you look nice," David meant every word,
but tried to tone it down when he remembered who he was saying it to. "I
do need to get changed, too, though," he added.

David placed his hands on Tyler's shoulders as they walked up the stairs,
and gently steered Tyler to the left as he went to the right, and as they
both closed their doors the weight of the moment lifted some for Tyler. He
looked around his room as he went to his dresser to grab one of the few
pairs of socks he had in there, and decided to change into a pair of jeans.
Since they weren't going anywhere fancy, he didn't want to wear something
that nice. As he pulled off his pants and walked back to the closet to
hang them up he wondered what it was about the room that felt so different
at night than it did during the day. With the sunlight streaming in the
windows, it was a room that any thirteen year old boy would kill for, with
a view that would make most adults jealous. He didn't have a lame
twin-sized bed, not that he had outgrown the one he had in Minnesota, but
amongst his friends it was more of a nod to growing up, something for which
Tyler was still waiting.

Grabbing his shoes as well, he hopped up on the bed to put on his socks.
As he did so, he looked out at the horizon and saw the familiar sail of the
catamaran that his dad had pointed out to him when they had been at the
beach. The billowing spinnaker left him wondering how the boat didn't
simply flip over.

<><>

David looked at the pile of blankets on his bed as he walked to his closet
and thought, "This is what the Tasmanian Devil's bed looks like in the
morning." The blanket and top sheet were so balled up it looked like they
had just come out of the dryer. He reached for a one of the many polo
shirts that he would typically wear on a day like this, but stopped and,
instead, grabbed a pair of jeans and walked out to his dresser to find a
shirt. Setting his pants on the bed, he looked through a few drawers and
pulled out a maroon tee shirt with the small A&F emblem on the side hem.
He stripped and pulled the new clothes on. Turning to leave, he checked
himself in the mirror and walked toward the door with his shoes in his
hand.

<><>

Tyler pulled on his shoes and got up to stand in front of the mirror for a
minute. He looked at himself from the side, head on, and over his shoulder
at how he looked from the back. Tyler thought the shirt was a little long,
so he stretched his arms up over his head, pulling it up higher. As he
lowered his arms, the material minimally bunched up around his tummy,
leaving the hem covering the top inch of his jeans. He heard David's door
open and footsteps on the stairs, so he quickly went into his bathroom, wet
his hands, and ran them through his hair a few times to straighten out his
cowlick before heading out.

When he opened his door and saw his dad at the foot of the stairs tying his
shoelaces, and had to hold in a moan at the sight of shirt David was
wearing. It was tight across his shoulders, arms and chest and then just a
little loose around the bottom of it. He glanced down at himself and
contemplated putting on something else; something that, in his view,
wouldn't accentuate how scrawny he felt next to his muscular dad. David
looked up and said "It looks like you're ready to turn some heads," which
made Tyler blush as he came down the stairs.

The moment those words left his mouth, David envisioned walking around a
mall with Tyler, catching the teenage girls and possibly even some of the
boys, checking out his angel. He then realized that with a boy as
beautiful as Tyler, he would probably be grabbing the eyes of gay guys they
happened to pass.

He all of a sudden thought about the talk again, and wondered if that would
be a time that he should tell Tyler that his dad is gay. He decided that
however the conversation progressed, it needed to happen tonight. He knew
the coming-out-to-the-parents speech, as well as the
coming-out-to-the-coworkers talk, but hadn't really thought out how to
bring that up with one's son. Tyler descended the stairs and, as he walked
up to him, David took a step toward the garage. Tyler adjusted his course
and intercepted the hand that David offered out to the side. He wasted no
time lacing his fingers with his dad's, and then it happened - the first
shoulder bump of the morning; and the moment it happened, a smile spread
across both their faces.

Without even asking, David already knew which car he figured Tyler would
want to take out and, sure enough, Tyler steered straight for the
convertible. As soon as the car purred to life, while the garage door was
still being drawn up, Tyler fastened his seatbelt and down went the top.
As they pulled into the sun, David and Tyler looked at each other.

"Where are we going?" Tyler asked.

"Well, there's a mall here that has some really cool stores in it and a
bunch of places to eat." David paused, "We can go in and just look around,
if that's all we want to do but if there's anything that looks good then we
can grab it if we want to. Or we could go check out the pier, but I'm not
too sure that the food they have there would settle for the first meal of
the day."

Tyler's stomach had rumbled a few times already since waking up, so he
opted for the mall.

Tyler looked around as they got on the freeway, back and forth between
David and the other cars and scenery zipping past. David wasn't sure if he
was distracted, or if he was uncomfortable, but after a few minutes Tyler,
trying to be as subtle as possible, moved his arm across the armrest an
inch at a time until his elbow pressed up against David's. When David felt
Tyler's arm touch, he gently pushed his back to make sure Tyler could feel
it. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Tyler's shoulders slouch a
little as he felt his tiny effort of reaching out had been reciprocated.

"Dad?" Tyler paused, "Who is Asher?"

He glanced over at David whose eyes were looking straight ahead at a few
taillights. "Chip said he's having lunch with 'Asher' today."

David knew very well that Chip was completely open about his sexuality, but
he still was hesitant. He had been outed to people, by close friends even,
that didn't see any harm in their actions, but it was something that had
made him uncomfortable.

"He's a friend of Chip's," he said trying to not sound like he was
withholding any information. "I don't know him, but I know that he and
Chip hang out sometimes." David couldn't believe he'd just said it like
that. It sounded like the way a mother introducing her son's 'roommate' or
'friend' to the family. He knew Tyler would be finding out soon, in fact,
they would both be meeting Asher for the first time in a few days.

<><>

"He's got to be the sweetest kid there's ever been," Chip said, as he and
Asher drove to Porter's Pub for lunch.

"He really must have never had much money. He's got to be the first
teenager to turn down a cell phone."

"I'm almost afraid to think of how he's going to react when he finds out
where we're going on vacation."

"If David goes for turf, it'll be less of a big deal wouldn't it? I'm sure
he's been camping before," Asher offered.

"Well, it really isn't traditional camping, at least not how we've done it
before," Chip said as he pulled into a parking space. "Last year, the
place was more like a spa than a campground, and he paid for any extras
that anybody wanted to do."

"And what qualified as an extra?"

"Massages and stuff at the spa; all the food; and stuff like bike rentals
or ski-boats," Chip explained. "We had the choice of actually camping or
staying in the chalet and, if you wanted to camp, the kitchen made up a
pack of food for your dinner and breakfast the next morning."

Conversation stopped just long enough to put in their orders, while Chip
rambled on about everything that he had done, the hotness of the masseurs,
and the views from the hiking trails.

"I was hoping for the surf, but now I'm not so sure which one to hope for,"
Asher said, as they started eating.

<><>

David turned on his blinker and drifted onto the off-ramp as they
approached the mall. Tyler looked over and smiled as the road noise began
to lessen. Approaching the top of the ramp, he read a sign that said
'Fashion Valley Mall.'

"Is that where we're going?" Tyler asked.

"Yep; it's a pretty cool place," David replied thankful for the
distraction. "There are a lot of really cool stores here, beginning with
one of my favorite places for breakfast."

Turning off the main road, the car slowed down and stopped in front of the
valet stand, and a very cute young man bounded over to David's door and
opened it for him, while another opened Tyler's door. David figured that
neither of them could have even been twenty years old, yet. Taking the
ticket and handing over his keys, David looked over at Tyler stepping out
of the car, and noticed that the valet was very plainly checking out
Tyler's form fitting shirt, as he held the door.

Tyler was completely oblivious as he glanced around at the people milling
about, and the elaborate landscaping that looked like it was growing out of
everywhere. David gazed a little too long at the second valet, as well,
and, as he closed the door behind Tyler, he and David made eye contact,
causing the young man to smile and wink as he hopped back to the valet
booth.

Coming around the back of the car, David walked up beside Tyler and they
started to walk into the complex. Just as he had felt at the beach,
Tyler's anxiety level grew with the rising density of people as they
continued to walk. "It's so busy," Tyler mumbled.

David put his arm around Tyler's shoulder and explained that, compared to
how busy the mall would be in the evening, this crowd was nothing. Tyler
looked around and didn't see much of anybody his age; just about everyone
was an adult.

"Give it a couple weeks and there will be a lot more during the day when
the schools are out for the summer." Tyler kept his shoulder up against
David's ribcage as they walked, and again attempted to match his dad's
stride.

He followed where his dad was steering through the crowd towards the
escalators. "Where are we going?" Tyler asked, as he stepped up.

"There's a place here called Zodiac that is an awesome spot," David said,
pulling Tyler's back against his chest. "I know you're going to love it."

Tyler looked over the rail as they reached the second floor landing, and
noticed how much bigger the sprawling mall looked from there. He followed
David around to the next escalator, and they continued up to the third
floor. David's arm once again went around Tyler's shoulder, as they walked
through the mall, not releasing it until they entered through the door to
Neiman Marcus, and then into the restaurant itself. Tyler looked around
and again noticed how fancy it was, and turned to David. "Am I dressed
okay for in here? Everybody is all dressed up again."

David allowed himself to scan Tyler from head to toe and back up again
before looking into his eyes saying, "Trust me; you look great." David
approached the hostess station and asked if there was a wait. The young
woman took his name and gave him a small pager, saying that it would only
be ten to fifteen minutes for a table for two. Tyler returned a smile to
her as they turned to walk back out to wait.

"We can't go too far, but is there anything you feel like doing while we
wait?" Tyler walked over to the railing and leaned his elbows on it as he
scanned the crowd. David was just a couple steps behind him, and thanked
God when Tyler bent over ever so slightly as he came to rest on the
railing. "Perfection," was the only word David could think of as the
lightweight material conformed to Tyler's sides, while the jeans framed the
cutest butt ever seen. "There isn't really time to go look around any of
the stores, so do you want to just wait here?"

"We can wait here," Tyler said, still looking over the edge. "How many
stores are here?"

"I'm not really sure, but I'd guess there are probably two hundred or so."

"Holy crap! There's like thirty stores at the mall in Grand Rapids, and
some of them are empty," Tyler exclaimed. "There has to be everything
here!"

David leaned against the rail, with his arm right up against Tyler's,
mimicking Tyler's stance. "Yeah, there probably isn't much of anything
that you couldn't find here." David bumped his hip against Tyler's, making
him smile as Tyler tried to bump him back. He couldn't help but think that
it really was easy for Tyler to feel overwhelmed. He spent so much time in
an area where there are probably more deer than humans, that life here was
probably going to overload his system. David couldn't even imagine what it
must have been like up North. It was fun last night, taking Tyler to a
store that was as grand as Saks, but he wondered if he needed to scale
things back and let Tyler get more comfortable. "What do you feel like
doing after- - -, welI, guess it's going to be lunch by now."

"Umm, I dunno." Tyler looked across the promenade, noticing that most of
the stores were clothing stores. "We could go look at some more clothes,
if you want to, I guess."

David wasn't about to say it out loud, but he wasn't going to lie to
himself; he would love to find clothes for him. "We can definitely do
that. There's just about every guy's store you've ever heard of in here."
The pager buzzed halfway through his reply. "And it looks like it's time
to eat. You're going to love this place."

<><>

As they ate, Tyler couldn't keep from looking at his dad across the table.
This was the first time that he'd ever sat across from him, and he kept
noticing how big he looked. His big shoulders, big arms, big chest; it
made Tyler feel even smaller than he usually did, but not in a bad way;
more secure than anything else. David had noticed Tyler's occasional
blanking out while he was chewing, and laughed a little when Tyler would
hold eye contact and, upon being noticed, would immediately resume chewing.
When the check came, David made sure that Tyler didn't see what the amount
was, knowing that money was probably part of what had happened that
morning.

"Lets go look at some clothes," David said, as they walked back out into
the mall. "Did you see any stores that you want to check out?"

Tyler had recognized a few of the names like J. Crew, Gap, Abercrombie and,
of course, Old Navy. "Where do you want to go? Do you like Abercrombie?"

David felt a twitch in his pants at the mere thought of seeing Tyler trying
on A&F clothes, and had to reign in his imagination when he started
thinking of how low the low-rise jeans were. Tyler had never owned
anything from there, but he had wandered around the store a couple times at
the mall in Duluth. Everything was so expensive that he had never even
tried any of it on, but he remembered how much fun it was trying on all
those clothes last night, and showing his dad. David made him feel like he
looked really nice the whole night.

As they approached the store, they were greeted by not only the giant
poster of the incredibly sexy nearly naked male models, but also a young
shirtless man who was greeting people as they'd walk in. David smiled at
him, while Tyler looked at the floor, turning ten shades of red as he stole
more than a few glances at the guy's abs and bulging jeans.

Father and son walked through the store, pulling shirts off the racks, both
small and medium sizes, unsure of what size Tyler would like more. Getting
to the jeans, Tyler looked around at the different colors, but didn't
notice that they were different cuts. David allowed the dirty side of his
mind to pick out a couple of pairs of the lowest rise jeans they had. He
knew he was being a dirty old man, but he justified it by telling himself
that Tyler would probably really like them. With an arm full of clothes
each, they headed to the changing rooms. As tempting as it was to go in
with Tyler, David opted to remain outside; he couldn't really imagine that
anybody would think that was normal.

As Tyler took off his shoes, he got that weird feeling he always got before
he would take off his clothes in a changing room. All kinds of people
walking by made him nervous that somebody would open his door by mistake.
He pulled the tight white shirt up over his head and looked at himself in
the full wall of a mirror, and was embarrassed, imaging that it could be a
two-way mirror, with someone on the other side watching him; so he turned
around as he unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. Before pulling them down
he unfolded the jeans his dad picked out, making sure they were unbuttoned,
unzipped and ready to quickly pull on. Dropping his pants and pulling them
off, he quickly stepped into the new jeans and pulled them up. He
immediately noticed that they were quite a bit different from the ones he
had previously had on. The waist was low enough that the band of his
underwear came out of the top of them all the way around. He took the
jeans back off, pulled his boxer-briefs off, and quickly pulled the jeans
back up and re-buttoned them; he had never gone commando in jeans before.
He looked at himself in the mirror, he paused. He felt like he was still
naked.

He put his hand on his stomach and slid it down to the front of the jeans
and marveled at how low they were. On either side of his bellybutton, he
could see the "V" shaped lines of his little muscles . He wasn't sure that
he could make himself walk out into the store, he felt like his dick was
going to fall out of them, or that his pubes would show, even though they
were actually well above them; that's how it felt. He pulled on the light
yellow tee shirt he had picked out and again looked in the mirror. When he
stood up straight, he could still see about half of the button at the top
of his jeans. He knew David wanted to see the clothes, so he pulled his
shoes back on, and pulled down the front of his shirt as he walked out to
the rest of the changing area.

<><>

David was waiting patiently at the far end of the changing area in one of
the several club chairs that were there. He would glance every few seconds
at the door that Tyler had gone into, while periodically getting distracted
by one of the three or four male employees who exemplified the Abercrombie
look. Muscular, classic looking young men that, just a week ago, David
would have been hitting on.

He saw movement at Tyler's door, and out walked his red-faced boy.

David was stunned! As Tyler got closer, he accidentally let go of the
bottom of his shirt, and it sprang up just high enough for David to see a
centimeter of Tyler's tight tummy. As quickly as Tyler's shirt lifted,
David felt his cock start to rise. Moving to put his hands over his lap he
drank in Tyler's beauty.

"Are these suppose to be so short?" Tyler asked. "It feels like they'll -
well, not like they're going to fall off but - I dunno."

David told himself that he'd buy one of every single thing in the store in
Tyler's size right then and there. "Wow! Those - - -, I mean you look
really good in those." David hoped that Tyler hadn't noticed his attempted
recovery. "Those are a different cut, but once you get used to it, they're
supposed to be really comfortable." David completely pulled that out of
the air. He had no idea what they felt like; no idea if they were more or
less comfortable than any other pair. All he knew was that he was going to
buy them.

"Have you ever worn ones like this?" Tyler asked, while continually
adjusting them, trying to pull them up.

"I haven't, but what do you think? Do you like them?"

"I dunno," was all he could say. Tyler turned around to walk back into the
changing room, and saw two girls at one of the mirrors staring at him.
They smiled and he immediately wanted to just shrink into nothing. Still
red, he hurried back into the changing room unaware that David hadn't been
able to take his eyes off Tyler's little ass.

David tried to not imagine burying his face in those jeans. At the same
time, he was slapping the back of his hand, in his mind, for even thinking
it. Having Tyler with him, he was certain he was going to end up with
split personalities. He was thankful that he was sitting, because there
would have been no way to hide how hard he was right now.

<><>

A few minutes later, Tyler came out wearing a pair of plaid shorts and a
polo shirt, looking much more comfortable with himself, and it showed in
his walk. He walked up to David, smiling wide. "Do you like these?"

"Those look great, too." David matched Tyler's smile. "I don't think that
there's going to be much of anything in this store that you aren't going to
look good in. Seriously," David said nodding his head in approval.

"Thanks," Tyler said with a wide smile. "I think the small size fits
better; the medium feels baggy, but I could grow into them."

"We can get a mix of both, if you want to," David said, quickly hoping that
his fondness of the tighter, shorter shirt wasn't too obvious to Tyler.

When Tyler went back into the changing room to put on his regular clothes,
on the back of the door to the changing stall, there was an ad describing
the different jean styles. He looked at how the low-rise jeans looked on
the cartoon man, and wondered what they'd look like on his dad. He
wondered how low they would fit on him, and thought back to seeing him
naked after the shower - and the line of hair that went down his stomach.

He took the shirt off and looked at himself in the mirror. He was getting
hard, thinking of everything he saw, and could feel the tip of his dick
peeking out from behind the material. He unbuttoned and pulled down the
zipper, letting his dick spring free. He looked in the mirror again, and
turned to the side, looking at his full five and a half inch hardon
pointing up at a 45 degree angle, sticking out of the fly of the shorts
that weren't even his yet.

He took it in his hand and squeezed it, and wondered if every guy gets hard
as easy as he did. He stroked it back and forth a couple times, and heard
two guys talk and then laugh right outside of his door. It startled him at
first. He remembered standing on the other side of his dad's bathroom
door, listening to him jerk off, and started rubbing back and forth. He
could still hear them talking, and then imagined that one of them was his
dad. He closed his eyes and wished that he could listen to his dad's voice
while he was jerking off, even if he wasn't talking to him. He just wanted
to shoot, listening to him.

He looked around as he felt his balls start to tingle. He knew that he
couldn't stop now, or his balls would hurt all day. He was going to have
to cum. He looked under the bench, and there was a small garbage can, and
he saw a couple of paper towels in it. He picked it up and put it on the
bench, and turned to face it. The way he was facing, he could see himself
from the side in the mirror, and started to shake.

He grabbed the can and, in the middle of Abercrombie with strangers all
over, in a mall the size of a small town, held his breath and started to
pulse.

"Hey, Ty; you okay?"

Tyler jumped and the shock made it hard to keep his balance as his load
flew out of him. His eyes flew open, abs flexed, and he hunched forward as
he felt the streams of cum pumping out of his balls and into the garbage
can.

"Tyler?" he heard again.
