Hi, my name is Roger and I have two young sons Josh & Keith they are twins
they are both 14 years old. I work as an electrician for a local company
doing repairs mostly domestic and occasionally we get a commercial new job
to wire.

My wife took off when the boys were 14 yrs old as she objected to them both
going nude in the house and sleeping in the same bed. I got home after work
that day and she had left me a note and her keys to the house and car and I

Once that was delivered, I asked both boys to come and eat while everything
was hot.

They both asked at the same time where is Mum and I simply showed them the
letter left me and waited for a response from them. Josh was first to say
anything that is dammed stupid many of my mates share there bed with there
brothers without any problems and if they have some one for a sleep over it
is a threesome and so what.

Keith said I bet she had a boy friend somewhere who been giving lots of
sexual favors in which case good riddance, Josh said dad we are still a
family but we have to make adjustments and all of us must help in the house

I hope my brother agrees but I think Friday evening and Saturday be house

Well the first three months after the change our new routine seemed to be
going well.

I told my boys look Friday evening we are going out for good meal and not

We had a great meal and lots of discussion we were possible there a good

Following Keith's statements everyone be came very quiet, finally Dad asked

paintball camp as none appear too operated more than three days at a
time. Keith answered by saying we both want to be wearing full camouflage
clothing and grease paint so we cannot be seen and thought this would be
good way to test things out. Next year at school we want to join the
Schools Army Cadet's as it would test us out physically and help make us
both stronger.

Now I see your motive, ok then what about a backwoods camping trip and
include two paintball camps and regards the camping do want to really rough
it in the open or do you want to have some sort of cover at night.

There answer was as long as we had a couple of good sized tarps we can
easily construct a roof if it is raining. Then I said another idea would be
for me to cleanout my work truck and put a good foam pad in the back this
will provide some back comfort at night and also a dry place to sleep.

Clothing I will get you the required camouflage gear that you will need,
and you will need some good secondhand boots 16 holes if possible.

We will have no other clothing with us other than some raingear and several
pairs of thick wool socks.

Both Josh & Keith were hugging me saying thank you Dad, so boys when is the
last day at school before the summer break? Their answer was Friday June
30th.

Well we will take off one week later and during that week you are at home I
need you both to get the house cleaned, the grass cut and all laundry done
including the beds linens and towels.

Friday evening we go out for supper, and then Saturday we clear out my
truck and get it ready so that we can take off early Sunday morning.

The weeks prior to the end of June I got some emergency rations in the form
of dried foods and made sure my propane tank was full, cleaned up the small
portable BBQ and got my portable freeze /cooler box chilled off and filled
it with food.

Saturday evening after we had eaten the boys came to me and said Dad we
both need army style haircuts please and no more than a ¼" on top, no
problem I said and after that you can do the same for me please.

Sunday morning arrived; the boys were up early wanting to get going ASAP,
they had one bag between them with soap and towels and hardly anything
else, my bag also carried shaving gear and underwear, I asked the boys if
they had got a change of underwear, just our Tee Shirts we are both going
commando, that made me laugh.

We set off and I took them off the beaten track once we had really cleared
the built up areas. I decided to look for a spot that had a nice stream and
about another ½ mile further on I saw a good place. It was a level site and
about 4 ft above the stream banks. Checking the time I said we would have
some lunch as I had some hard boiled eggs and fruit with water crackers. It
didn't take very long for the boys to consume there food. I said lets see
if there is any fish in that stream, well much to my surprise we got six
nice trout; well boy's that is our supper tonight with some mashed spuds
and peas.

Let us move on to a more private area which I'm sure we will find in a few
miles, well we came up to a high point with again a nice flat area also
there was a small waterfall that gave us water and also our shower. Keith
asked how do we clean the fish and what is the best way to cook it.

No problem I will show you both shortly, so let us all get a shower while
we have some sunshine but perhaps first we should make a fire pit and
collect some wood and then we can use that for cooking our supper.

I found the shovel and said guy's we also need to dig a toilet pit. With
this in mind, I did the digging for both pits for two reasons one we needed
that shovel for everyday and two I didn't want either brother to mess their
backs up as I could see the ground was rather hard.

The boys collected firewood and the fire started, I found the chopping
board and called out Josh & Keith come and see how we clean the fish. I did
two fish and then said you guys clean the other fish. I was right there to
ensure they did it right.

Now we will get some foil, put a little cooking oil on the foil, and then
wrap two fish at a time. One of you get the kettle and get some water, and
then on the fire.

Now in the cooking box are two billycans the smaller one is for the peas
the other will be for the spuds. I dug out the dried peas and the potato
flakes and dried milk.

My sons and I had a good meal, and I know the boys enjoyed it immensely, ok
clean up time any fish items or other waste into the fire please so we do
not attract any bears and such like.

Once we are cleaned up and to ensure that our bed is ready before it is
dark I said guys lets get all the sleeping bags out and get them zipped
together to make one triple sleeping bag. The look on the boy's faces was
priceless – total happiness. Now we had all been tested and were 100%
clean so I was not worried about any sexual activities that might take
place.

We sat around the fire till it burnt almost out and then got into our bed
with one son on either side of me. Dad we really do love you and as Josh

We carried on after packing our purchases in the cooler box. There was a
choice of roads and decided on the one that climbed up the hillside into
the woods where we came across a nice small lake and lots of sunshine.

We stopped here and went walking to look at the views. About ½ mile down
the hill we could see what appeared to be a group of guys, also in
camouflage gear with a large round tent erected. Josh nipped back to the
truck and grabbed my field glasses to get a closer view.

On studying the scene we realized there were about 6 guys just enjoying
themselves. I continued to watch and slowly as the sun hit there area they
were stripping off there shirts etc.

We eventually made our way back to the truck and Josh said Dad we should be
taking our photos while we are here as there is a good background. We get
all of us together by using the truck to set the camera up on – what do
think?

Dammed good idea, let me sort out a couple of items, this was something
neither Josh nor Keith knew about. I dug out two marine style caps for them
and another for myself.

My sons asked how they should pose. I said at ease and hands behind your
backs. Now I got the camera setup asking them to stand in a certain spot as
I was going to take a test picture to make sure of alignment (Thank
goodness for digital cameras)

I got my cap on and said hold it guys I'm coming over as I hit the timer
button. It seemed like ages before the photo was taken how ever it looks as
if it has turned out OK. We did several photos so we could select the best,
we also took photos of us in the water and around our campfire that
evening. This photo session became a daily affair, often there were only
two of us in the shot but we all had lots of fun doing it.

Well now the first weekend for paintball was coming up and in order not to
get our gear really filthy dirty Dad had got camouflage rain gear and
camouflage coveralls which was very easy to wash.

Once at the paintball site Dad rented for us and himself full head and face
protection. After we booked in we had a cabin for the three of us, everyone
eat together in the mess hall. There was also a small shop there and
looking around Keith spotted some very large face handkerchiefs he pointed
out this would be good to put around your face and cover your neck so no
skin was showing. I like his idea and also spotted some thin gloves
everything was woodlands green so it matched our gear.

Lets face it yes an expense but our trip is gong to be very cheap anyway
and it's really for my sons and for them to get to know me better, lets
face it I think I'm getting as much fun as both boys are.

The first evening we are allowed to walk around the course and plan what we
will do. Keith was making a good sketch of everything he saw and we went
back to our cabin to make plans. Both sons said look dad a number of the
trees don't have branches very close to the ground, but if you let us climb
up on your back we could get into those trees and not be seen yet have a
clear view of who is coming we would need to be on opposite sides of the
trail. If you Dad get a spot close to the end of the course you can knock
off anyone left.

So guys what gave you this idea, well it was in an article in one of those
papers I showed you.

We all shook hands this is what we will do, and returned to the mess hall
which was also an area for everyone to get together. Josh said Dad is that
not the guys that were in the field below us – I look and say I think
you are correct. Keith says well I'm going to find out, so with that Keith
heads for this group and says Hi guys and asks them out right – they
look surprised. Well where were you and how come we didn't see you, lets
put it this way for the present one above all sees all.

Anyway there was lots of what looked like good conversation going on, Keith
said so are you guys playing to-morrow? Sadly not was the answer our Dads
don't approve but they have no problem with us camping all together. So how
come your dad lets you do this?

Well he is part of our team and my brother and dad are all joining in. You
lucky buggers to have a dad like that doesn't your Mum object. No problem
there she walked out on us all about 4 years ago so Dad looks after us and
we do lots of things together, the three of us are a family. Nice talking
to you guys see you all tomorrow hopefully – we will be here have no
fear.

Keith returns and tells what he has found out – so they all return to
there cabin and get setup for bed.

Next morning Dad checks the schedule and finds we are in the first group
out and they expect us to be ready in 30 minutes time. I quickly get back
to the cabin OK guys we go now please make sure you have everything. We all
sign the sheet and told Brunch will take place after the first game and
good luck.

We grab our gear and get our full head protection on and collect our guns
and head out. At the first selected tree Keith goes up and then gets
handkerchief on and makes sure he can see without being seen, Josh does the
same, Dad heads over towards the end of the trail when he realizes that the
other group is coming in the reverse direction. He thinks the dirty dogs
two can play at this game, as he gets close to Josh he signals him to look
the other way, he himself goes back into the bush and waits. One of the
opposition passes very close bye so Dad watched till he was further away

other two come running and before they get there they are both knocked out.

We let them get well ahead before we came out of the bush, so got round
one. We heard the leader calling us to stay put as another group of three
would be on there way in 5 minutes. This time we were all up in the trees
and we covered both entrances and also midway. Again, we were lucky
knocking them all out, OK guys Brunch time in 15 minutes.

Heading back to the mess hall and have real good brunch, we are asked why
no one saw you; we all laughed and said if we were to tell you it would
mean you would do the same. However, we will let the organizer know at the
end of the weekend.

I have to admit we all had a great time and finally told the organizer how
we had been so successful. There comment was to laugh and we walked away
with a trophy.

Our gear although dirty we kept on when we left the camp and headed back
into the bush. Our next site was a small private campsite where there were
laundry facilities etc and hot showers so our gear went into the washer.

I decided to have the steaks that night as they had kept well on the ice in
the cooler box, I also said remind me in the morning to get some more ice.

We had a great supper with the steaks and baked potatoes butter and chives
for the spuds.

We talked about how well we had done and I said now we have to do something
different. We looked at the brochure for the next site and found that there
was a small stream passing through the area. I asked my sons how did they
feel about getting very wet, they said no problem Dad.

Now guys I'm going to ask you a question have you ever drunk any alcohol
with your mates? Keith & Josh looked at each other and finally said yes on
a couple of occasion, so guys what did you have oh just beer but didn't
really like the flavor. That's fair enough and you have never had anything
else no was there reply.

Let's put it this way, you are old enough to have the odd drink but I would
prefer you did this at home so if you did have too much one of us can put
you to bed.

Further more if you get a hang-over its better here than at some friends
place and you become sick.

Did either of you see a pop machine at the little store, Keith said yes
– good would you go and get three cans of ginger ale. While Keith is
gone I get out our mugs and put some light amber rum into the mugs and then
added ice from the cooler and the ginger ale when Keith got back.

Well guys I think you both enjoyed that paint ball camp I know I did and
never even thought that we might come out on top of all those there as we
were total rookies in there eyes. So grab a mug and only gently sip; cheers
to another great paint ball weekend coming up.

Josh says wow this is nice what is it Dad? I showed him the bottle. I
thought rum was dark brown in color, my comment was yes some is and there
is also totally clear rum and it all depends on the distiller. Hey Keith
what do you think of this asks Josh – I like it and it gives you a nice
warm feeling in your stomach.

I see they have both finished there drink and ask if they would like a
second one, oh YES PLEASE was the answer, I said make this last as no more
to-night ok guys.

of our mates there parents don't seem to have the time to go out with there
kids like you have done. Thanks for your comment but as far as I'm
concerned we are the family and I'll tell you both now I will never
re-marry another lady as I have seen to many couples fall apart. It is bad
when then are children involved because if they are very young it is hard
for them to understand what has happened.

I'll tell you now I didn't know how to tell you what had happened when your
Mother walked out, then I remembered the letter she had left – hence you
saw what she had said and done. Then the way you both responded in a very
mature way and for that I'm very thankful.

Guys I think its time for bed so lets get tidied up. I went over and
checked our washing and found it basically dry. The weather forecast was
for rain to-night so I gathered it all up and dumped it on the front seat
in the truck.

Both sons were already in bed and appeared to be sound asleep, I had hardly
been in bed when there was a big clap of thunder and the rain started to
come down real heavy. I made sure the side windows were closed and just
left the tail gate opens a small amount. The rain was really pounding down
as I went to sleep.

Eventually I woke in the morning and both sons were in the same position as
I had seen them last night with there arms intertwined, however I needed to
have a pee so I quietly left the truck headed for the toilets and pee like
hell wondering if I was ever going to stop. Both sons were still well
asleep so I got making the Tea once made I woke them up and said you guys
have sure slept well; so do you feel OK, Josh I got a bit of a headache oh
well here are a couple of Advil's that will solve the problem. I am
chuckling to myself over this and it was Keith who asked why do I look so
happy – oh nothing in particular. So guys what would you like for
breakfast? They both said just some toast is all we need.

We got on the road late but that did not matter however, we were slowly
heading for the next camp. On our way, I saw a turning to a small town and
turned into town and ask my sons do you have any other footwear with you
– they said no. So we went shopping for some mid range runners and some
rubber thongs, as I want my sons to experience getting really wet before we
get to the next Paintball camp.

Well it happened later today I found a site along side a shallow pond, I
myself check it out going into the water balls to the breeze. I found the
bottom soft and muddy so then I suggested to my son's that they got their
camouflage raingear on with nothing else underneath. Use their thongs to
safe guard the feet and see how long they could stand the cold water but at
the same time, we will move around the pond so we generate body warmth.

Our experiment went well and we found without any problem we were able to
stay in the water at least 30 minutes, longer if the sun was shining. We
also looked where there might be shallow trenches, these would help hide us
however we suddenly thought thanks to Josh by saying maybe other are using
these trenches, and we should hide ourselves in the bush or hopefully long
grass.

Hey smart thinking Josh I can see we are going to be a lot more paint ball
games in the future.

Well we had a good supper of fish from the pond and some mashed spuds with
peas & carrots. Afterwards I offered one single drink of rum, they both
said yes please.

After getting the refreshments ready, I asked for the kettle to be filled,
put it on the propane burner so we had really hot water for washing our
plates and other eating items.

Prior to the forth-coming weekend we took our time and saw lots of wild
life, I had seen the next camp you could stay there ahead of time so we all
agreed this would be a good idea.

Since we were close I phone ahead and got a reservation as of to-night and
I was told your are just in time to be included in this evenings meal which
will be baron of beef I hope you like that. I said fantastic I know my sons
will enjoy that.

I expect we will be there by 3:30 – 4:00 pm my cell number is

We arrived at the camp by 3:30 pm and booked in, our room had one king size
bed and a single bed complete with all linens and towels and our own toilet
and shower really deluxe. We unloaded some of our truck especially the
cooler box as we were able to plug it in and maintain the cold in the
cooler box.

That evening after a really nice meal we looked around the camp and were
interested in the wide range of photo's on display on many groups in their
full gear. My sons both said they liked the boots those guys were wearing
as they were very tall, I counted the lace holes and found they were all 20
hole.

I said if you do join the cadet's and boots on that type are permitted then
I will pay ½ the cost of them as they are very expensive, Josh ask how
expensive – most likely around $400. Wow that's terrible and we would
not get full use out of them either as we are still both growing said
Keith.]

We all slept well that night; however I did ask that the single bed be made
to look as if it had been used.

After breakfast we went walking through the site and over many of the
trails, I had asked Paul which trails were going to be used, since you are
first here for this weekend you have the choice. My sons said the one with
the stream could be interesting. Paul looked at me and said it has not been
used for some time as we have had lots of rain so everything is pretty
muddy, that doesn't worry any of use and I look at me sons – no Dad.

Paul says well Roger I can see a wicked look in your eyes, and Paul has a
big chuckle. Yes it will be interesting to see how others enjoy that area.

We got one of the trail maps and went back to have a closer look, during
our walk Josh came across a hollow tree large enough for him to get in, the
tree was ivy covered and helped with hiding him, and down a little further
but across the other side of the stream and we were in luck as the far side
had overhanging trees. We went further down the stream and found another
spot with a group of trees again all over hanging the stream. So it was
agreed that Josh would take the hollow tree and Keith and I would be in the
stream. If we won that round then Josh and Keith would switch around as
both sons wanted to experience getting totally wet.

Well we went four rounds and did very well and came away with a plaque as
best player of the weekend.

When eventually we got back to the camp site we spotted the group of young
guys we had meet at the last site. There comment was mate you all look
pretty dirty and wet – so we all hugged them and said hopefully they
would be able to join in at a later time.

After this camp we decided to head back home and clean up everything.

Once home everything was cleaned out of the truck and all my gear was put
back in it's regular place we all simply stripped off and got the laundry
going, the sun was shinning and it was warm, luckily my back yard is very
private and the back gate had been locked so we would not get caught out
bare arsed. As the first load of laundry was done it was hung on the line
and soon flapping in the wind.

We still had some grub in the cooler box so I used that for supper, during
this time we had lots of discussions and both sons came up to me and said
thanks for a wonderful time. They both also said they were positively going
to apply to join the Schools Army Cadet's as soon as possible but would
need my consent.

I said no problem but I would like to see any information you have on the
course you may take. We will get that tomorrow from the school and then you
can read it all.

The other thing I would like is for you to get the latest copy of the Army
Newspaper that you had when this all first started.

I decided that we would celebrate a successful trip with some rum that
evening and that made the boys very happy; however I limited them to two
drinks only but must admit I had another couple before going to bed that
night.

When I went to the bedroom I could hear the boys talking and they were
saying that to bad those guys were not permitted to go to paintball camp as
you could see in there eyes they were sort of envious of those there. I
wonder what our mates will say when we tell then where we have been and
what we did. Now then Josh don't stir it up like you often try to do, just
let sleeping dog's lye.

I smiled to myself and thought those two are really great and I'm surprised
they are not already asleep.

The next term at school both sons were into the Army Cadet's and one
requirement was that at least three days a week the will be in Army
Fatigues including boots. What they didn't expect was surprise visit from
the headmaster who would come into the classroom and OK squad pick up your
packs and go running around the field for ten laps after which shower and
return here to carry on with your studies.

Some days this happened twice a day never the same time, the packs we had
to carry gradually got heavier as we got used to them. We both looked at
ourselves and saw we were developing bigger mussels all over our
bodies. One time at home even dad made comment saying hey guys I really
agree with this Army Cadet deal you are both looking much better body wise
and hopefully you are not missing out on your education. So tell me please
what you do every day, regular classes however we sometimes get stopped and
sent out running generally with a back pack that has been weighted on run
the other day was 5 miles and went though all sort of terrain and mud –
we had a great time.

Some of our mates were not so happy however at the next school break there
is a camp and we are going to be taken out on maneuvers. Do you mind Dad if
we take part, absolutely no problem there, any idea how many adults are
going to be included for safety and such like – no idea Dad. We will try
and find out when we put our names in at school to-morrow.

My sons were very happy that I had no objection to this camping as I felt
it will help them in the long run become more self-reliant. The next
evening my sons gave me a letter to sign from the school to say it was ok
for them to partake in this weekend and at the same time, the school was
asking for volunteer parents to assist. Especially anyone how was
experienced in the bush or X military.

Well I put my name down to assist, this resulted in getting a phone call
from the school Principle Jim Taylor who invited me to attend a general
meeting of the volunteers so that everyone could get to know each other
ahead of time.

The meeting was setup for next Friday at 6:30pm at the school with a
request please dress as you will for the camp; I thought that was a good
idea.

The meeting was interesting as there were three ladies there also and they
asked for kitchen duty. I was the only one in full camouflage gear that
evening however the others were wearing a variety of hunting garb.

We were given an outline of the course they would be taking which funnily
enough included a wet section. I though right my sons had better use there
old boots as they are going to get soaking wet.

Now the location for the camp is a large field well away which is being
loaned by a generous farmer whose sons also went through this course
several years ago and will be there to help out. There is also a large open
building where every one can gather, it's basically a hay barn with open
sides.

We will put up two tents one will be the mess tent which will have a
screened off portion for our ladies sleeping area, the other tent will be
all the boys plus the men's sleeping area. Request please; make sure you
all have a good flashlight and a spare set of batteries.

Well folks any questions before we all adjourn to the Pub across the road
for a pint and that includes our ladies as well.

As we enter the Pub the barmen says I have tables set up in the other room
for all of you I'll be there in a few moments. Well the discussion was
really about there own sons and how they were doing in the Cadets it was a
sort of go round the table as each one of us made different comments. I
said it as I saw it on how much better my two sons were looking
physically. By this time Jim had arrived and so had the beer and he was
listening to the various comments. Jim made comment also that there were
always one or two who felt too much was being asked of them; however they
all had to learn it was a team effort and eventually the slow ones picked
up speed and started to enjoy themselves.

This new intake really seem to right into everything as well hence I
suspect the course that is being laid out will be tougher than normal and
yes they going to come back pretty dirty however we do have showers for
them to clean up and by the way I have a stack of camouflage coveralls so
there regular camouflage gear does not get ruined. Our ladies here have
helped out for the last few years now and if they see a bare bum they are
not offended – one of them piped up by saying if they get too close they
are liable for a swat on arse – that brought much laughter.

I got up to leave and said thank all for the info I'm sure looking forward
to this event and when I get asked by my sons what happened this evening my
answer is oh we went to the Pub – Bye Roger great meeting you and with
that I left and returned home.

Once home I could see most of the lights were out, and found my sons were
already in bed. Having got my boots off, I got my lunch bucket ready for
the morning and then took a shower and slid into bed – I didn't need any
rocking either.

I don't normally work on Saturdays but we had a major job on and it needed
to be finished by Monday morning. During the morning my cell rang and I
could see it was my home, on answering I was asked where I was. Sorry guys
but I have to work all day today and possibly Sunday tell you more this
evening. Please make up a shopping list and I will phone you before I get
home, pick you both up and we will do the grocery shopping before I get
cleaned up.

I finished late, collected my sons and while shopping I said what would
they like for supper – you don't have to worry dad it is in the oven
right now stewed steak & kidney, carrots and onion, bake potatoes and all
we have to put on the greens when we get back home – sounds real good.

As we get home the boys said OK Dad you get cleaned up and leave your dirty
stuff in the laundry room. I must admit I had a really good hot shower and
felt a lot better for it, grabbed my cameo pants pulled them on and went to
the kitchen, and asked anything I can do? The answer was yes, get yourself
a beer and sit down.

So what happened last night at the meeting I said after introduction and
everyone talked and went to the Pub and the first round was on Jim your
school principle.

Well I did have to work Sunday but told the boys I could be late getting
home; please don't wait up for me. Sunday came and I didn't get home until
about 3:30 am however the job was done and all our gear was moved back to
the company year. The Boss had earlier made arrangements for food on the
site so no one went hungry, and we all sat down for a beer before going
home. The Boss had also said I don't expect to see any of you until Tuesday
so sleep in and relax and thanks for your efforts.

I got home, dumped my dirty gear again in the laundry room took a hot bath
this time and went to bed. I left a note in the Kitchen that I was sleeping
in and not working on Monday see you both at the end of the day.

Well the Cadets camp was on this weekend and so I got my own gear together
including my foam pad for sleeping and showed up at the school as requested
one hour before departure, I also took both Keith & Josh as the parent were
asked to drop there sons off not less than 30 minutes before departure. The
cadets all went into one classroom and we staff were in another, Jim came
in and issued name tags for us to wear and he said he had got dog tags for
all the cadets and incidentally tell your sons these tags are to worn 24
hours a day and even at school. So I found Josh and Keith's tags and took
to them and passed on the instruction about wearing the tag.

Dead on time a school bus showed up and I recognized the driver as being
one of volunteers I had met the other night. I smiled to myself as he was
well dressed in full camouflage gear, he came over to me and said hi Roger
how goes it and then says he was talking to the farmers sons and these guy
don't know what is going to hit them. They will be soaking wet and well
muddied on there first day and that will sort out the wheat from the chaff
– I'm laughing. Jim comes over to me and asks me how do I feel going
with the cadets tomorrow – I just said I game for anything – I get a
slap on the back from Jim – thanks Roger we will talk later when I have
all the details and by the way I have some large coveralls that should fit
you I said not to worry I have raingear to match anyway. There is one thing
we should have a good fire going so the guys can warm up after they have
showered – good idea I get that arranged.

Well the bus is loaded and all the gear stowed and we head off out, while
traveling Jim says first thing is to get the tents up and the cookhouse one
is first then the sleeping tent followed by getting all your own gear
undercover.

Once we arrived everything went well, both tents were up, tables were set
up in the barn and for seating straw bales were setup.

I drew my sons aside and said you realize you are going to be in separate
sleeping bags to-night as I think you are the only brothers here; I will
put my bag between you. We will see what happens tonight. Following getting
the tents up there was still the toilet tent to setup.

Suddenly we hear a backhoe coming and it was Jed & Gus the farmers sons and
the ones who had setup the course. They asked where we wanted the toilet as
they would dig a good size hole and then all we had to do was put a screen
around. A site was located and they went down about three feet making a
trench about 4 ft long.

The ladies had prepared hot soup and a sandwich for lunch after which Jim
said I would like everyone to stay and we will discuss what is going to
happen tomorrow but first because most of you have fairly new gear and I'm
sure you don't wish to fouled it up over there is a stack of suitable
coveralls all numbered so remember your number and you will wear those
again to-morrow and then on your return you will be expected to wash them
out ready for the next day. There will be a clothes line in here so if it
should rain they will not get wet.

Any questions, what about our backpacks, and yes you will need them and I
will put the required weight in each cadet pack. You will also be carrying
wooden rifles and they are of a weight as close as possible to the real
thing so just remember what you need to do to protect the barrel which is
drilled out. So now you are all going for a good march and Jed & Gus will
be charge and they will be taking you thought the bush etc – good
luck. They are all yours Jed thank Jim, we watch them get lined up two
abreast and off they go.

To the volunteers Jim says ok I'll give you the run down for tomorrow and
the next day. Roger are you up to running? I have to admit I'm not – no
problem as Gus will be with you and he can take the cadets on a good run to
get their circulation going especially since they will all be soaking wet
if they do the course correctly.

Next morning I joined the cadets and went through the course that had been
setup and oh yes it was dirty but I personally did not care either, there
were two culverts that were just the right diameter to ensure you had to
wriggle though the mud and water this was followed by going up the center
of a small stream that was about 4-5 feet deep that really got everyone wet
but it also washed of some of the dirt finally we came out at a waterfall
where Gus stopped everyone and said OK guys I want to check out all your
rifles to make sure the gun barrels are still clean.

I should add no one had been told how to protect there gun barrels however
60% had used a condom over the barrel held in place with a rubber band. I
thought these guys have done there homework good for them.

Gus next said I know we are all cold and wet so lets start running and then
we will all get a shower and cleanup. I went back and as I came into camp
and have to admit I sort of trotted most of the way and was fairly warm but
breathing heavy. I stripped off and got into the shower oh hell that's cold
then realized I didn't have my towel either so I quick nip back to our tent
and grab a towel then got my coveralls into the tub and washed them the
best I could followed by a good rinse, I then got them onto the clothes
line and my towel slipped down followed by comment hey nice looking arse
there mate – just like yours no doubt.

One of our ladies called out I have some nice hot soup when you are ready,
I said thanks I'll be back once I have my pants on give me 5 minutes.

I'm soon dressed and have some really good soup. The cadets we here are
coming as they are all singing as they run into camp. Gus see me, you look
to clean mate and he is laughing. Great course you and your brother laid
out I enjoyed it – thanks for that comment and by the way I think you
are the first volunteer to take part in the way you did but I guess you
were in the army at one time – no actually never was. We see the guys
messing around, Gus starts at one end and I take the other end and called
out ok guys get stripped your coveralls into the tube get them washed and
rinsed and then get showered.

Most of the guys ran bare footed to there tent and grabbed there towels and
then worked again on there coveralls finally hanging them up on the clothes
line.

Hurry up guys get your pants and boots on and have a good bowl of hot soup
and come and sit around the fire so that you all get well warmed up. The
volunteer Dad's were asking there sons what they though of the morning
session; at first the comments were not very good but later on everyone was
laughing and ultimately everyone agreed it was an experience well worth the
experience because the more they thought about it, there were places in the
world where the Army has been working and it has required everyone to work
there way down rivers.

After lunch everyone meet in the barn and there was a big discussion on the
morning activities, this was followed again by another run but just around
the field doing 10 laps.

After dinner that evening a movie was shown about the army and what was
available to volunteers and how being in the Army Cadet's gave you a
benefit in your application to join up either for the reserves or full
time.

That night everyone went to sleep very quickly, however all cadets were
woken up at 5:00 am and were told to put there gym gear on and back packs
plus boots as they were going on a long distance run.

They were taken on an 8-mile run; they had several stops for drinks that
had been issued prior to leaving. Well the entire weekend was a revelation
from my point of view and was very happy at what these guys were taken
through, so eventually we all help to dismantle the campsite Gus got his
backhoe and filled in the toilet pit and everything was loaded on the
school bus. We got back to the school and unloaded everything. Eventually
everyone made there way home, the Cadets were very quiet due to being very
being tired.

Well I took my sons home and said well guys what did you think of the camp
orsome was the answer, and I'm sure glad we went to the paintball camps as
we both feel it help us especially crawling through those stinking
culverts. I laughed and Dad why were you with us doing the same thing, well
I was asked to be backup man.

Anyway, we all went to bed and my sons said Dad it is going to nice to
sleep in our bed, yes and we have missed our enjoyment of each other as
Keith and Josh got together and start to fuck each other. However they
adjusted there position so they could such my cock and balls at the same
time. I have to admit it did not take long before I was blowing my load and
covered both their faces with my cum, ultimately we rotated and all got the

Well following this weekend my sons were promoted to platoon leaders, Jim
the school principle also phoned and asked if was willing to help in the
future; I said why not I think I had as much fun as the Cadets did.

Eventually all the Cadets were wearing their uniforms throughout the last
year at school. Part of the way through the last year the school was asking
all the Cadets if any were going to full time into the army. A couple of
the guys did sign up for four years; my sons went into the reserves and did
monthly training. Josh took a carpenter's apprenticeship and Keith went my
way taking an electrical apprenticeship.

It is my opinion that the army cadets are a good thing because it built
these young guys self-esteem; life in our family went on with love of each
other.

I started to go running in order to get myself into a better condition, we
all kept in contact with the school principle who asked me on several
occasion to give a brief talk to some of the young guys who were thinking
of joining the Army Cadets, later on Josh & Keith were doing the same thing
plus we all helped out with the Cadet Camp.

Both my sons completed their apprenticeships and earned there TQ tickets
and so our family life went on, we all had our friends visit however our
house was rather small and then one day at supper Josh said Dad I have a
suggestion to make and it will involve all of us.

What do you guys think about us moving and building our own home with a bit
of acreage. Phew what brought this about asks Dad, ok look at where we live
now and how the traffic has got very heavy. There is also the problem of
parking, if we had acreage the problem of parking would be taken care of
plus we could do with additional space in the house so that if any of us
has friends visiting it would provide an area where the rest of the family
can have there own space.

All I'm suggesting we all give this some thought and we discuss this at a
later date.
