Calvin grabbed the blanket while Mark got a
couple of towels for whatever reason. Running
down the stairs, Charles intercepts them.

"Whoa, whoa now. You know you don't run in Mr.
Williams home like that. Where are you two
headed?"

Calvin had heard that tone before and stopped
skidded to a stop. "We thought since Uncle Bill
has those people coming, we would take a ride
and maybe picnic on the knoll if you have some
sandwiches we could take with us. Sorry about
running, we sort of got carried away."

"It is a nice day for riding and maybe a
picnic. There is plenty in the kitchen and you
can make your own sandwiches, I have things I
need to be doing for William. Before you leave
the house make sure you take your sweatshirts
with you in case it gets a little cool and get
another blanket."

"Another blanket Charles?" Mark said looking at
Calvin. "What for, we only need one for a
picnic."

"Another blanket young sir and don't forget it.
I don't need you two becoming ill." Charles had
a grin on his face and his eyes twinkled as his
two young charges blushed but headed back up to
their bedroom doing as he had said.

William was sitting in the kitchen finishing
his coffee when he heard the commotion and
turned seeing Charles talking with Mark and
Calvin and then walking to the kitchen as the
boys rushed back upstairs.

"What was that all about Charles?"

"That William was the exuberance of youth. Have
you forgotten when you were that age? They
remind me so much of Mark and Clark in almost
every way. I'm so glad we have them William,
they have filled a great void in my life and I
think in yours as well."

For a few moments William remembers when he
first met Lee. The hunger too learn was deep
seated within him and not just about being gay
but about everything. He taught what he knew
and Lee soaked in knowledge like a sponge
wanting more. Mark and Calvin had the same
hunger Calvin was learning about his sexuality
indirectly from what he and Lee had tried to
teach Mark about being gay and accepting it.
That was a relatively easy task but they still
needed to learn how they must cope with what
was outside that sphere.

Lee had developed his mind as well as his body.
His maturity showed in the suave intelligent
way he addressed people and problems. Even in
anger, he chose his words well before speaking.
His attending the University of Ohio had given
him the foundation for his technical
advancement but he had a natural gracious
manner that he had learned by observation. Both
Lee and Mark had a charisma that drew people to
them. Lee knew it but Mark still had to learn
how he could make it work to his advantage
without being overbearing.

Calvin, on the other hand, was intelligent but
he was still innocent and inclined to give of
himself too freely. He still needed to learn
that he must hold his feelings in reserve until
he was sure about where he was going, what he
was doing and if the other person or event was
to his advantage and would be reciprocated.

"Thinking about the boys William?"

"Huh, oh I'm sorry Charles. I agree with your
assessment, they both have been a joy and I am
particularly thankful for Calvin. Do you think
I moved too quickly taking him under my wing as
I did?"

"No William, I know you didn't. Calvin won't
replace Mr. Lee in your life but he will be a
great comfort for you. In my country we always
knew the horses that would be steady and keep
the others on track when in the traces. Young
colts were excitable while the older animals
knew what is expected of them so they were
matched in pairs. Mark is like the young colt,
excitable and full of stamina. Calvin is as
steady as a rock and you can see it when they
are together. He is quiet and observant but
controls the exuberance that radiates from Mark
just from being with him. There is a deep-
seated fire and devotion in Calvin, its obvious
from the way he loves and protects Mark from
himself. No William, you made an excellent
choice in Calvin. He has much yet to learn but
that is where you come in isn't it? Mr. Lee is
the son you always wanted but Calvin will be
the ward that fills your remaining years and
mine with pride and love in him. When will you
adopt him?"

"The process has been started but how did you
know that I was going to adopt him? Mrs.
Masters had only signed the consent papers for
adoption before we came up here."

Before Charles could answer Mark and Calvin
burst into the kitchen loaded with blankets and
towels. Charles had made several sandwiches and
was placing them in a hamper with two thermos
bottles of hot chocolate and some sweet cakes
he had made.

"Thanks Charles but we were going to make the
sandwiches like you told us we should."

"I don't need you and Mark messing in my
kitchen or I'll never get done before Williams
guests arrive. Strap this hamper tight behind
you're saddle or you will lose it. Be gone with
you both and don't forget dinner is at 6PM."

"Calvin, you both be careful and don't go
racing. Those trails are not made for that and
I shouldn't need to tell you the knoll is to be
left clean." William said trying to look stern
when he did without a lot of success.

"Yes sir Uncle Bill and we won't be late. Come
on Mark, let's go."

Charles and William watched smiling as both
boys tried not to run out of the house in their
excitement to get away alone together in the
woods that made up considerable of Williams
property.

"They couldn't wait to get out of the house
Charles. Did you see the excitement in their
eyes? You are right about Calvin; he is the
controlling one in that duo. Mark was itching
with excitement to be gone."

"You have forgotten what it was like to be
young once haven't you? I'm happy you mentioned
the knoll, that is a lovely spot and I hope you
are keeping it."

"No Charles, I have not forgotten. If we had
the energy and stamina that they have, and knew
what we now know, heavens what we could have
done. The knoll and pond stays within the
acreage I am keeping. I had once thought about
having a gazebo built there but changed my
mind. I like the naturalness of it and my
foreman cuts the bushes back so it does not
become overgrown. That is a favorite place of
mine and Lee's and I have a hunch it has become
that way with the boys."

"Forgive me William but won't you have to
increase the acreage from what you intended?"

"Yes, I will. I hadn't realized it but when I
was looking over the proposal for development,
I had forgotten about the stream that feeds the
pond and runs on through my property over
behind the barns. The developers could have
blocked it off and re-routed it if I hadn't
noticed it. Their proposal does not show what
they intend doing with the stream and I'm just
a little surprised they did not mention it when
we were discussing the partition of the farm."

"Developers are only interested in building
house William. Of course now, I understand they
are trying to be more environmentally friendly
when they do develop open land."

"That may be but I intend to not lose the
rights that came with the property when I
bought it Charles. Speaking of the developers,
don't prepare a full lunch for them. Just some
finger food with whatever beverage you think
but no alcohol."

"I had already intended doing that William."
Charles said going back to making the chicken
salad. "If you will forgive me, I have several
things to do right now."

William realized that he had been summarily
dismissed and left the kitchen for his study.
Charles would take care of everything with his
usual efficiency and didn't need him kibitzing.

Nineteenth St. was one way north so Dalton
drove to the corner of Trant and drove over one
block turning south on 20th St to get back on
Market St. Macy's took the full block on Market
between 7th & 8th Sts. Strawbridge and Clothiers
was in the next block west if they wanted to go
there as well as Macy's. Parking the car
shouldn't be a problem since both stores shared
an 8-story garage. Carl sat next to him
watching as he drove with his hand resting on
Dalton's thigh.

"I'm sure glad you know your way around this
city Dalton, I'm lost."

Dalton didn't answer he just smiled at Carl.

Lee sat in the back thinking of what they
needed for the apartment, they could get it all
at Macy's without any trouble and have it
delivered Monday afternoon. He would get them
settled and then he could catch his plane on
Tuesday as he had planned. Dalton had more
experience in the city and would be a big help
for Carl. All in all he was pretty satisfied
with how things were working out for them and
hoped they had an idea of what they would be
needing in the apartment. He had some ideas but
was going to leave it up to them.

"Hey, you guys been thinking about what you'll
be needing? We can get it all here at Macy's."

"Well let's see Lee. Are they leaving anything
in the apartment? If not, we will need a
bedroom suite, living room suite and kitchen
stuff. I don't know if Dalton has set up an
apartment before but I sure haven't."

"Nothing is being left Carl. With the exception
of carpet, you've pretty well hit it on the
head except for the styles you want. I'm sure
you will be selecting a Queen or King size bed
won't you? That room is big enough. I wouldn't
put a couch in the living room; you could see
it was small for that. Maybe a couple of
loungers with side tables and another chair in
case you have someone over. I'd pickup a couple
of folding chairs later if you think you'll be
needing them. You can get some area rugs later
if you want them, that vinyl floor was in good
shape and a lot easier to clean then carpets.
How about a television where you going to put
it?"

"It sounds like you know more about it then us
Uncle Lee. I hate bringing this up but what
about paying for it? I've got some money and
maybe we can get an account at Macy's."

For just a fraction of a second, Lee felt a
twinge go thorough him at hearing Dalton call
him Uncle. He wondered what Mark was doing.

"We will discuss all of that later Dalton.
After you park lets get inside and pick this
stuff out, it's starting to get a little late
and I want to be sure it's delivered Monday
afternoon before I leave Tuesday."

"You're still leaving on Tuesday Lee? Mark will
be back home by then won't he?"

"Yes Carl, I've got a lot that has to be taken
care of but I won't be seeing Mark just yet as
much as I want too. I'll be in Louisville with
William for a few days before I go on up to
Cincinnati. I'll leave William's number with
you in case you need to get in touch with me.
Mark is starting school on Wednesday and with
all I have to get done it'll be better."

"I don't know how Dalton and I are going to be
able to pay you for all you've done for us."

"Nothing to worry about Carl. I promised Mark
I'd help get you started and Dalton is just a
little bonus isn't he?"

"I wouldn't say he's a little bonus but we sure
thank you for the rest."

It was hard not to laugh at Carl's indirect
reference to Dalton. The shopping was done
quickly and a few very happy salespeople were
more then happy to help get schedules arranged
for the upcoming Monday delivery. With some
guidance and suggestions, Carl and Dalton
selected very serviceable pieces of furniture
but not expensive. The apartment would be
nicely furnished even down to a 4-piece place
setting with flatware for the kitchen. Whatever
accessories they wanted, they could get later.

It was not that easy setting up an apartment on
such short notice but there was no choice under
the circumstances. The one thing that really
gave Lee a sense of relief was that Carl would
be with Dalton and they would look out for each
other. Shopping done, they left Macy's for the
short trip back to the Holiday Inn. Dalton
parked his car in the space reserved for Lee's
suite.

Walking down the ramp leading from the garage
to the lobby, Dalton looks for Dennis and sees
him coming out of the employee's entrance with
a drink.

"I'll be back and relieve you on time Denny,
been any problems today?"

"Nah, it's been really quiet for a Saturday.
Look Dalt, I'll make you a deal. If you want
tonight off, you can relieve me for about an
hour and then I'll take your shift, I can use
the extra money. Alton won't be back so he's no
problem, what do you say, want the extra time
off?"

"Sounds like a deal to me Denny, thanks. Are
you still trying to get in the dining room?
Carl here is looking for a job and if you were
maybe he could get on with me. Carl and I are
going to be living together when school gets
started and he's going to need something too do
for money."

"You're going to be living together Dalt,
where? Hi Carl, I'm Dennis but everyone calls
me Denny."

"Sorry about that Denny, I thought you knew
Carl. His uncle is Mr. Michaels and he has been
helping us get a place this afternoon. My old
man threw me out so needed a place too live
unless I went back on campus. Mr. Michaels has
been awesome and we found a place on 19th where
Carl and I can room together."

Seeing Carl and Dalton talking with Dennis, Lee
goes on up to his suite and fixes himself a
drink. Pulling out his wallet he looks up
Perry's number from his small address book and
dials it hearing Perry answer after two rings.

"You must have been waiting for me to call bud,
what's up?"

"Nothing yet Lee, you aren't here. Dinner still
on or are you calling to disappoint me?"

"You know I wouldn't do that Perry. Are you
driving in or using a cab?"

"I was going to drive why? I can take a cab if
you want to drive the pony."

"No, the pony is not available, I'm sending it
back home. How about you take a cab here to the
motel and then instead of eating here in the
motel, we can walk over to the Hub for dinner
and then walk to the Lane. We can get a cab
back to your place."

"Sounds like a plan to me. I was just getting
ready to take a shower and then I was on my
way. We haven't been out together in ages, I'm
looking forward too it."

"Me too bud but don't rush, I've still got some
talking to do with the boys before I'll be
ready but come when you want, it's cool."

"Did you say "boys"? I thought you only had one
boy with you Lee?"

"It's a long story, I'll tell you later."

"Ok buddy, let me get the dingle berries
cleaned off and I'll be along."

Lee laughed as he hung the phone up; Perry was
cool and a great guy to be around with his off
the wall humor. Dalton and Carl walked in as he
was finishing his call talking a mile a minute.

"Whoa, what's got you guys all spiked up?"

"Dalton was talking with Denny downstairs and
he is going to take the rest of Dalton's shift
tonight. Dalton is going to get an employee's
room for tonight and Sunday night since he
can't go home. Would you mind if I stayed with
him? We can still have dinner together but then
if you wanted to go out we wouldn't be in the
way if you, well, you know what I mean."

Carl looked just a little embarrassed trying to
explain himself and Lee was grinning letting
him swing on the hook a little before letting
him off.

"Got it all planned out Carl, even looking out
for me huh? Do you have to pay for an
employee's room Dalton?"

"They charge us half price, I'll use my Master
Card for it. Sometimes Alton will ignore it and
tear it up giving us a break if he is in a good
mood. That usually means he got some from his
old lady the night before."

"Well you won't need to worry about him getting
any. A friend of mine is coming over and we are
going out for dinner and later to a bar called
the Drury Lane. You can have dinner here or you
can come with us whichever you want. I'll be
staying with Perry for a couple of nights so
you can use this room instead of getting
another one."

"The Drury Lane is next to where we went
before. That is one hot bar but I don't think
Carl and I should be going there yet. I just
got him and damned if I want to lose him to one
of the numbers in that place."

"You mean you don't trust me?"

"You I trust it's the others I don't. They see
a young hot stud like you, ohhhhhhh my, tell
him Lee."

"Leave me out of that. Now lets talk a minute
before Perry gets here. Tomorrow both of you
will be on your own. I've got a few things that
Perry and I are going to take care of. Monday
we are going to my bank and Carl, I'm going to
open an account for you starting it with a
$1,000 dollars. The lease on the apartment is
paid in advance for a year and the utilities
will be transferred over by the real estate
agency. If you want a telephone or the cable
TV, you will need to get it set up. When Carl
gets a job, you both should set up a budget
pooling your money for the expenses. Try and
find a job that will fit in with your class
schedules though. Tuesday morning you can run
me out to the airport for my flight. That's
about all I can do for you right now."

Carl and Dalton sat looking at Lee for a long
time without saying anything until Carl got up
from his chair and sat next too him.

"I can see why Mark loves you so much Uncle
Lee. I don't know how I can ever repay you for
all you have done for me and now Dalton."

"You and Dalton will pay me by getting a good
education, loving each other and being honest.
I know what it is to be starting out and
someone helped me once when I needed it.
Besides, Mark would never forgive me."

Carl leaned over and kissed Lee gently
whispering "I love you too and Mark knows I
do."

"All I can say Mr. Michaels is thanks, I'll
never forget it. As for a job, I'm pretty sure
Carl will get one here at the motel with me.
They have been a man short in valet and he will
fit in perfect. The Alton tries to work the
schedules for all of us that are in school so
that shouldn't be a problem. Would you mind if
I kissed you too?"

"Only if you stop calling me Mr. and then fix
us all a drink," Lee says chuckling as Dalton
kisses him feeling his lips and tongue lightly
brushing over his lips.

* * * * * *
As Dalton is fixing their drinks there is a
knock at the door and Lee answers it.

"Come on in Perry. Christ you must have flown
over but your just in time for a drink, what
would you like?"

"Bourbon straight up old stud, introduce me."

"The good looking black haired hunk is Dalton
Chambers and the gorgeous blond is Carl
McDowell, he came with me from Cincinnati. Both
of them are going to be in college together.
Carl, Dalton this is Perry Fordham. He and I
used to work together."

Both Carl and Dalton shake hands with Perry
feeling a very firm and friendly grip and
glance at each other approvingly.

"Damn Lee, you have never introduced me too
someone that was not good looking, how in hell
do you do it? Whets your secret?"

"I know better then that Perry, what about that
hunky French stud you met when we were on
vacation in Nice on the Rivera? He was no
slouch and in that bikini there was not much
left he wasn't showing."

"Oh yeah, Jean Paul. He was something; you know
I still hear from him every now and then. He is
in Paris now and I might be taking a trip there
soon for CalTron. You gotta come with us Lee,
it will be like old times if you would."

"Sorry guys but Perry gets carried away
sometimes. You decided if you want to come with
us?"

"No thanks Uncle Lee, we appreciate it but
maybe we will get something to eat downstairs
and then just hang out here and watch TV. We
got stuff to talk about anyway. You and Mr.
Fordham have fun."

"Mr. Fordham is it? Call me Perry, no one calls
me mister unless they work for me."

"Come on Perry, bring your drink and let's go
in the bedroom. I want to get a shower and
change before we go out."

"You want me to go into that bedroom with you
while you get naked and shower? You got to be
kidding!!"

"No, I am not and nothing is going to happen,
yet. Later if you still want it."

"If I still want it, listen to you. Don't fall
in love guys it gets you nothing buy trouble."

Perry follows Lee into the bedroom closing the
door behind them and sits down watching Lee
strip; his magnificent body sending chills
through him and his cock starts to harden.
Sipping on his drink he adjust himself thinking
about later on.

"Lee what's with Carl calling you Uncle? He
isn't your nephew is he?"

"No, he isn't. Carl is my nephew's closest
friend and he calls me Uncle when someone he
does not know is around. Window dressing just
too keep the questions down. George pushed me
hard to get back here with that damned new
prototype processor and since Carl was coming
this way I asked him if he would help me with
the driving. He is a hell of a nice kid but
very, very new and just coming out. He and
Dalton seemed to have clicked pretty tight and
I set them up in an apartment on 19th St.
today."

Perry knew better then to ask Lee if he had the
kid but he could guess he probably had. Telling
is something Lee never did, that is one of the
things he liked about him besides being a hell
of a lover.

"They both seem like pretty nice kids. You set
them up in an apartment?"

"Yeah, I told Mark I would make sure Carl got
set up okay after we got here. Mark is my
nephew back in Cincinnati."

Lee was rubbing his body briskly drying off
from the shower. Perry gulped and felt that
tingling sensation in his groin as he stared at
Lee's very large half-hard cock swinging from
side to side.

"Lee, get dressed will you. You're killing me
naked like that."

"What's the matter bud? See something you
like?"

"And stop teasing me or I will. I've been
waiting for you to get back and it's been a
long time since I've been in bed with a real
man."

Grinning Lee dresses quickly putting on a pair
of gray Hagar slacks with a white chiffon golf
shirt and light gray windbreaker. A pair of
burgundy penny loafers completes his outfit and
he takes a few condom packets with a small tube
of KY from the bedside table drawer in case
they are needed later, putting them in the
jacket pocket.

"Jesus Lee, you always look like a million
bucks. Every dude in the Lane will be checking
you out."

"That's part of the fun, ready?"

Dalton and Carl look up as Perry and Lee walk
out of the bedroom.

"You guys sure you will be alright? You're
welcome to come with us you know?" Perry and I
are going to walk to the Hub for dinner and
then to the Lane if you want to go with us."

"No thanks Lee, Carl and I will stay here
tonight. You and Perry have fun, see you
tomorrow sometime?"

"I'll give you a call. Take it easy."

Philadelphia is laid out with numbered streets
running north/south and named streets
east/west. They walk north on Chestnut crossing
Broad St. The Hub restaurant has entrances on
Chestnut St. and Walnut St. since it runs
completely through the block. The walk from
there to the Drury Lane bar is only about
another 4 blocks and convenient. You could find
several gay bars all within walking distance of
each other in Center City Philadelphia. The
Allegro, Drury Lane, Golden Griffin, Rusty
Nail, Maxine's, The 13 Club all are in roughly
a 6 square block section of the city just to
name a few. It didn't take much looking and you
would see a wide variety of young good looking
men heading for one or the other of them and
lots of times just cruising between the closest
ones.

Perry and Lee found a booth close to the door
in a quieter part of the restaurant. A young
smart looking waitress spotted them walking in
and took menus with her as they sat down.

"Good evening gentleman, would you care for a
drink" she said laying the menus on the table
before them.

They both ordered Dickles on the rocks with
soda sides, picking up the menus. We both
placed our orders when the waitress returned
with our drinks.

"How did it go at CalTron today Perry? Did
Mickey get on with you guys?"

"In a flash Lee and they asked me to see if I
could get you to join the team. What about it?"

"It would be great if we could all be together
again Perry but I'm a little fed up with
dancing someone else's tune. I'm thinking of
going back to college and getting a real estate
brokers license. A friend of mine down in Dover
who is in real estate has asked me about
joining him and I just might. It will take a
couple of years to get set up but it would be a
break from computer programming, software and
all the other crap that goes with it. I'm tired
of roaming around the world living out of a
suitcase, wanna settle down in one place so to
speak."

"You selling real estate? You're kidding me
aren't you? Lee you are the best technician I
have ever known, you are a born computer tech
and no one knows processing better then you.
Besides you like checking out the young studs
and breaking them down like a shotgun feeding
them that big cock of yours. Remember that
Czech boy when we were in Budapest? That boy
could not get enough of that 9 inches of yours
when he saw it. God but it makes me horny
remembering it and that German boy in
Frankfurt. You like the travel and the new men
too much to give it up Lee."

"You stay horny fucker. But you're right, I
enjoyed it but after 4 years in the Middle East
and then this crap with MegaDate, I'm just fed
up with it."

The waitress returned with our meals at the
right time and we ate in almost complete
silence. I could see Perry was thinking about
what I had said about being fed up and I had
the feeling he was as well. Asking for a cup of
coffee as the dishes were being removed I
leaned back.

"Perry, I have an idea that you are feeling the
same way as me. You are two years older then I
and while we both are still young, the running
around gets to be a drag and you know it. We
both have too spend a little more time in the
gym when we can find one just so we can keep up
with the younger dudes."

"Now why in hell do you have to remind me of
that? Christ, I work my ass off doing setups
just to keep the gut hard and doing all them
squats and lifts is not as easy as when I was
in my teens and 20's. A little "Just for Men"
at the temples to hide the gray that is
starting to show up and using some of the face
creams so the wrinkles don't start becoming
obvious. The 30's are when you are supposed to
be in your prime but it is also the beginning
of that slow slope down into middle age.

"That is what I'm talking about Perry. The
constant drag and worry, the stress that you
might screw up a multi-million dollar program.
When are you going to get out of it? MegaData
was good to both of us so you should get out of
it now, altogether. CalTron is going to be the
same way, stress and more stress."

"Wish I could Lee, I can't afford it right now.
I should have listened to you and bought the
company stock when Melvin offered us that
program. I liked the high life a little too
much I'm afraid, the new MG every year and the
six figure townhouse I bought in Society Hill.
Hitting the bars every night costs and buying
the fashion clothes to go along with the act.
All I had was the profit sharing when they cut
us loose and that is already spent, too many
debts."

"Damn bud, I never knew that. Christ Perry, you
made good money with Melvin."

"That's right, I did and I spent it like the
job would never end and that is the reason I
need the job at CalTron. When Nichols hit us
with the cutbacks, I was damn glad that CalTron
had put their feelers out or I would have been
up shit creek with out the proverbial paddle."

"I'm sorry as hell to hear all of this Perry, I
never knew."

"No one does Lee, Perry is the playboy of the
crowd remember? Let's pay up and head for the
Lane, okay?"

"If that is what you want bud but I was
thinking maybe we could go to your place
instead. We don't really need to go there
unless you want too."

"Gee Lee, I'm glad you said that. I feel like I
need a friend tonight not some chippy that
doesn't know the difference between the hole in
his dick and the one in his ass."

I paid the bill while Perry threw a few bucks
on the table for the tip. We caught a cab and
Perry gave him his address. The conversation we
had just finished flashed though my head. It
was unintentional but it seemed that Perry was
waiting to get some of it out of his system.
