Part 2; My Dad And Me.

After our shower, we went to get dressed and make breakfast. Since it was
Sunday, we just wore shorts and lounged for the morning.

"Jay," my dad gave me that nickname. "Jay, I want you to know I have no
regrets about last night. I hope you feel the same?"

I smiled when I said, "Never will I have any regrets of what we do
now. It'll be an adjustment, but one we can make slowly."

Our day was spent cuddling on the couch, talking and bonding. I saw a
deeper part to my dad I never thought was there. I saw a new light in his
eyes and his smile was more bright, if that was possible. He was different,
happier. As was I.

My cell started ringing. Jeremy was calling.

"Hey Jeremy, what's up?," I asked. "I was wondering if your dad and you
would mind me coming over? My sister is being a royal pain." "Let me check,
hold on." I looked and dad and told him what Jeremy said and he was cool
with it. "He said yeah you can come hang. Bring some swimming trunks and we
will swim."

Jeremy is my best friend. He is 17, just a few months older then
myself. He's not as built as I am but he is just as hairy. He is 6"1",
190lbs. He has the sexiest blue eyes, a grin that will melt your heart.

My eyes weren't as blue as his, but they were blue.

As I said, I don't think he's gay but I seriously wouldn't mind if he was.

Jeremy wasted no time at all coming over. We changed and jumped in the
pool. Dad was making burgers to grill for lunch, all the while winking at
me every time we looked at each other.

"Were you as tired as I was last night after the work? I slept like a log,"
Jeremy said. "I was. I slept really good myself." I dare not tell him what
happened between dad and myself. I don't think he would understand, even
though he is my best friend. Jeremy has always been there for me,
protecting me in school when kids would pick on me. Dad thought of him as
his other other.

Jeremy nudged me, "Dude, where is your mind at? Something troubling you?" I
came out of my day dream. "No, was just thinking of all the things we have
been through together. You've always had my back as I have had yours."
Jeremy smiled, "What are best friends for, man? I'm not letting anyone pick
on you."

I noticed a few times dad was staring at Jeremy. I got out of the pool to
go pee. As I'm coming back out, dads in the kitchen staring out at Jeremy.

"See something you like, dad?," I ask. Dad turned and smiled. "I was just
thinking how much you 2 look alike body wise, though he isn't as built as
you. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was a son I didn't know I
had." I laughed. We definitely did look a lot alike.

Dad finished dinner and we sat down to eat on the porch. We had small talk,
school was about to end for the year and what our plans were. Jeremy said
his parents and sister were going on a trip for the summer and he couldn't
wait to be home alone.

Dad and I hadn't planned anything special. Dad was taking a few months off
this summer to relax. He spent as much time at work as he could getting the
new contracts started and new bids going in. His 2 foreman could handle
things while he was off.

Now another man in my life is dads best friend, Randy. I called him Uncle
Randy growing up, but now he says to call him Randy. Randy is married with
a son of his own, who's in college. His wife recently took a turn for the
worse with cancer. They are fighting it, but so far no change. Randy is
worried and he and dad spend a lot of time talking.

Randy was a bear of a man, 6"5", 260lbs, hairy from what I could tell. But
he had a heart of gold. He use to give me and his son Dan, piggy back rides
and would play catch with us and my dad when we were growing up. Dan is in
school for architecture. Having a dad who's a foreman inspired him to
follow with this career choice.

Speaking of Randy, he called dad. "Hey Randy, what's going on?." Dad
asked. "It's bad, Becca's cancer has spread to her lungs and brain. The
doctors don't know how it could spread so fast. They've given her just 2
months to live." Randy was crying. Dad said he was coming over to talk. He
left me and Jeremy there.

Jeremy and I started talking after dad left. Jeremy said, "I feel bad for
Randy. He's a good guy and his wife is such a sweet woman." "I know. All we
can do is hope and pray in a situation like this."

We started playing xbox and when we finished, we went up to my room. I knew
dad was gonna be late. Jeremy jumped on my bed and bounced. "Dude, I love
your bed. It's so comfy." I jumped on it and he bounced up with me. We
started laughing. Jeremy got a serious look on his face.

"Jay, can I tell you something and you promise not to think differently of
me?" "You know you can, man. What's up?" Jeremy got a worried look on his
face.

"Well, I want to come clean. I think I'm gay. I've noticed you and your dad
more and more and I didn't know how to tell you. Please, don't hate me!"

I leaned over and gave Jeremy a hug, first one we shared in a while. Jeremy
actually let a tear fall. It was sweet to see this man being
vulnerable. He's always so strong.

"Well since we are being honest I may as well tell you I'm gay also!"
Jeremy smiled and grabbed a fast kiss. I was stunned but kissed him
back. Just as that happened, dad walked in. He wasn't mad, he was smiling.

"Looks like I walked in either at the wrong or right time." Jeremy was
nervous. "I, I can leave if I crossed a line." "Don't be silly boy. I
always suspected you may be gay, but I didn't know till I overheard you
tell Jay. Jay told you he's gay, but didn't tell you I am also. It's
totally fine here. Be yourself!"

Jeremy was shocked. To have a gay best friend and his best friends dad be
gay also.

Dad came and sat on my bed and started telling us what was up with
Randy. Dad had told Randy we would be there every step of the way till his
wife's passing. The cancer was terminal. They thought they caught it early,
but once treatment started, it spread so fast that they can't do anything
now. And dad also got Randy to agree to sell his house and move in with us
afterward because he's gonna need family. We may not be blood, but we are
family.

Jeremy asked, "Could I also help? I mean I don't want to not do something."
Dad shook his head yes, and then grabbed Jeremy and gave him a hug. Jeremy
never got much physical attention from his own dad or mom. He held dad
longer then he realized. Dad was totally fine with it and brought me in to
the hug as well.

Jeremy ended up sleeping over that night, he was drained after telling us
his secret. Dad and I stayed up and talked for a few hours.

"I always knew he was gay, I had this gut feeling," dad said. "I was
shocked myself when he told me. But he was so afraid I was going to hate
him, I had to tell him I was gay also. Dad, if it'd had been you to see the
look on his face, you'd have done the same thing." Dad agreed. He looked at
me and said, "Well baby boy, I'd like for you to come sleep with me tonight
but, he's in your bed."

"No I'm awake," Jeremy said, startling is. "Do you guys sleep together?"

Dad looked at me and said, "May as well tell him. Yes, Jeremy we do," dad
said looking at him. "I came out to Jay Saturday night and we bonded on a
whole new level. But can you promise not to say a word?"

Jeremy said, "Wow, that's awesome! That's something I want to have too. Yes
I will keep it to myself. Honestly, it sounds hot, dad and son." Dad looked
at me and winked. I think we were thinking the same thing. "Well then,
let's all go sleep in my bed. It's big enough. Just 1 rule boys, no clothes
on in the bed," dad said. We followed, but tonight was gonna bond us all
closer then we ever thought possible.

Stay tuned for part 3 in this continuous series!
