My Father, My Son

Author's Note

Last July, I suspended the story of "My Father, My Son" due to some heavy
commitments I was facing in other areas. I had kept open the option of
continuing it when I completed my other projects. But I had since decided
to leave the story where it ended in Chapter 29 and not re-open it. I also
closed down my e-mail account with Excite (tombor99@excite.com). A number
of readers, however, somehow in various ingenious ways, were able to
contact me over the last couple of months and request that I continue the
story. I have to admit that I have missed those guys down there on the
Walker Ranch as though they were real flesh and blood and had simply walked
out of my life one day. I also admit that I ended the story when there
still were some issues to be resolved and some characters that I had not
yet fully developed. I've thought about my favorite Josiah, who had such a
sad and lonely life, as well as Brian and Enrique who all have their whole
lives ahead of them. And lovable old cantankerous Jake. And Clayton, who
deserves to find acceptance in the world and to have a family who loves
him.

In other words, I would really like to get back into the lives of that
gang, but I cannot afford the time and effort needed to write this story
unless I am fairly certain that there will be a large enough readership
that will make it worthwhile. I am simply asking that those of you who
read this note and are interested in my continuing "My Father, My Son" send
me an e-mail to that effect.

Please note that I have changed my e-mail address to a Yahoo account. The
address otherwise is the same: tombor99@yahoo.com
