Chapter XIII

The gentle movement of the bed woke me as Dalton tried crawling over me in
an unsuccessful attempt at not waking me. I reached upwards and raked my
fingers over his ribs as he was trying to put one foot on the floor. He
giggled, "Oh shit" and collapsed on top of me. Putting my arms around his
chest I held him tight against me feeling his piss hard cock pressing
against mine.

"Going somewhere?" I asked, grinning up at him.

In the dim yellow glow of the bathroom nightlight I could see a look of
pain in his eyes as he reared his head and looked down at me.

"Yeah, to the bathroom unless you want me to piss on both of us." He said
while attempting to get free of my arms.

"You better go kid." I said releasing him. "I'm not into being a golden
shower queen."

"In another second you would have been what ever that is." He said as he
jumped out of bed and padded quickly into the bathroom.

Still grinning at his discomfort, I threw back the sheet and glanced at the
glowing digital clock proclaiming the time to be six AM. My urgency was
not as bad as his but the overnight accumulation needed to be expelled.
The old saying that "Time Waits for No Man" popped into my head only it was
Nature waits for no man.

Dalton was milking his still half hard cock as I joined him. The rapture
of relief glowed in his dark brown eyes and he sighed audibly. "Jesus." He
said. "After last night and taking a shower I didn't think I would have to
piss that bad."

"If you remember little brother, you drank a glass of water after we
showered. Drinking liquids before going to bed does have an effect on most
men." I said as I squeezed, milking the residual drops from within my
urethral canal.

"I always drink a glass of water after brushing my teeth."

"You better break that habit unless you enjoy pain in the mornings. It's
six o'clock so why don't we get dressed and join Dad for breakfast?"

"That would be a shock to him. We haven't eaten breakfast in the mornings
except for Sundays in ages."

"It wouldn't hurt you to get up early once in awhile. I bet he would enjoy
it."

"Oh, listen to big brother preaching to his kid brother. I'll have you know
we have breakfast together when I'm going to school." He said faking a
miffed tone.

"Ugh huh and what's wrong with the rest of the time?"

"Nothing really I guess." He answered.

"Okay then. Let's get dressed and surprise both of them. I haven't had one
of Mom's breakfasts in ages."

				* * * * * * * *

Dad was sitting at the table having his coffee and reading the newspaper
when we opened the basement door and said "Good Morning".

Mom turned around from the stove where she was fixing his breakfast. The
look of surprise on her face quickly changed into a beaming smile.

"See Mother, I told you they would be up." Dad said.

"William Evers!!! Do you think I don't know my sons? Why do you think I
have more bacon and an extra dozen eggs on the counter?" She said, waving
her spatula around like a baton. "You boys sit and as soon as I finish your
father's eggs I'll fix yours."

"Good morning Mother." I said, kissing her cheek. "You're dripping bacon
grease on the floor."

"Don't sass me Carlton Evers." She said with a twinkle in her eyes. "You
aren't so big that I can't give you a good switching."

"Now that I would like to see." Dad said before ducking behind the
protection of his newspaper.

"Me too." Dalton chimed in grinning from ear to ear his eyes sparkling.

"Don't push your luck Dalt." I said while getting two cups and saucers from
the cabinet. "Milk for your brother Carlton. He doesn't drink coffee yet."

"Awwww Mom, I'm almost seventeen years old. Why can't I have coffee with
Carlton and Dad?"

"Until you are a man young man, you will drink milk in this house. You are
still growing and milk is better for growing boys." She said without
turning from her task at the stove.

"Yes ma'am." Dalton said with a look of chagrin on his face.

I couldn't help but grin at Dalton thinking to myself as I poured his milk
and my coffee. "Mother, he is more of a man than you know "

				* * * * * * * *

Mother's cooking was good as all mother's cooking is. It felt good eating
with my family again after months of eating with groaning bitching men.
Sailors always bitched about how lousy navy food was but in reality I never
found that much wrong with it. I have to admit, however, that Mom's
over-easy eggs were a lot better than scrambled dehydrated egg powder.

Dalton and I were almost done when Dad finished his coffee and said, "What
are you boy's planning for today Carlton? I told Mr. Miller you were going
to be home and he said he would like to see you before you leave. Do you
think you might be able to stop by the yard?"

Dalton briefly glanced at me quizzically before I answered. I had worked
for Mr. Miller a couple of summers before I left and I guessed it wouldn't
hurt to see him while I was home but not so soon. The truth be known, I
hadn't planned on it at all but I knew Dad wanted it.

"Sure Dad but I thought we would drive into Indianapolis and catch the Ben
Hur movie and have lunch. How about tomorrow or Wednesday? Would that be
okay?"

"Wednesday would be fine son. I'll tell him and maybe you and Dalton could
have lunch with us. I know he would like that."

"Yes sir." I said seeing Dalton roll his eyes and grinning. I had a strong
urge to kick his shin under the table.

"Good." Dad said. "I'd better be going and Dalton, if you are driving be
careful. You haven't had that much experience with driving on highways."

"Yes sir." He answered and it was my turn to grin at the look of
exasperation on his face.

"I'll see you this evening Mother." Dad said kissing her on the forehead
like he always did before leaving.

"Corned beef and cabbage for supper William." She said as he left and
turned her head to look at us. "You boys will be having supper with us
won't you?"

"As long as you add boiled potatoes mother, I wouldn't miss it." I said,
pushing my chair back.

"And when did I not?" She said looking up at us standing over her. "Have a
good time."

The love radiating from her soft gray eyes would have melted the coldest of
hearts and I leaned down and kissed her soft graying hair. "I love you
Mother."

"I know that." She answered with a wave of her hand. "Get out of here, the
both of you. I've got work to do."

"I've never seen you kiss Mom like that Carl." Dalton said when we were
outside.

"It wouldn't hurt either one of us to do it more often Dalt." I said
softly. "She has always worked hard for both of us."

"You're right." He said as we walked towards his car. "It's just something
you never think about, kissing your Mother."

"Most guys don't but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. I told Dad we were
going to Indianapolis but maybe we should stay here and clean out the
garage. What do you think?" I said before noticing an unfamiliar pickup
truck coming up the drive.

"That's Mr. Morgan's truck. He must be bringing Jeff to pickup his
bicycle." Dalton said.

"Henry Morgan? I haven't seen him since before I joined the navy. Does he
still operate the junkyard over on Bledsoe?"

"Yeah, he hasn't changed much. He still works Jeff's ass off when we're out
of school. The poor guy never has much fun."

When Henry Morgan stopped his truck we heard him gruffly tell Jeff to get
his bike in the back of the truck. Dalton was right Morgan hadn't changed.
He was still a big burly overpowering man who looked like he should be
confined to a junkyard. His flannel shirt and bib overalls were as filthy
as I remembered. He was unshaven, his hair uncombed and he had the sullen
look in his eyes that he always had.

"Dogs and their pups." I thought as I went to the truck. Most pups grow to
be like their sire but Jeff must be the runt of the litter. At seventeen he
was a full head shorter than his at-least-six-feet-five-inch father and
considerably less in weight. Morgan filled the interior of the trucks cab.

"Carlton Evers Mr. Morgan." I said as I extended my hand towards the window
of the truck.

"Ain't seen you around lately." He growled without taking my offered hand.

"I don't get home that much since I joined the navy. How have you been?"

"Navy huh. Guess you didn't want to help your old man at Miller's. That's
the way of it now-a-days. Kids get growed and run off leaving no one to
help out."

"It's a different time than when you and my Dad were growing up Mr. Morgan.
There are other places than Richmond." I said trying to control the anger
seething inside of me.

"Tell me about it, kids got no respect today. Come on Jeff, I ain't got all
day. You should have rode the damn thing home instead of leaving it
here. Was that your fancy car I saw bringing him home Evers?"

I was about to answer his question when Dalton answered from where he was
helping Jeff put his bike in the truck.

"No sir Mr. Morgan." He said. "It was me that drove Jeff home not
Carlton. Jeff and I were out together and I didn't think he should be
riding on the highway in the dark."

"Why not? He's rode home in the dark before. Besides, when did you get a
car like that? I ain't never seen you driving anything but your old man's
Oldsmobile."

Dalton must have recognized my anger about to explode at Morgan's rudeness
and he stepped between the truck window and where I was standing.

"Carlton bought the car last Saturday Mr. Morgan. We were getting ready to
drive to Indianapolis. Would it be all right if Jeff went with us?"

"What!!!" Morgan growled. "I need him at the yard with his brothers. There
is to much work for him to be taking off and leaving them to it."

"Would one day hurt Mr. Morgan?" I said unconsciously placing my hands on
Dalton's shoulders.

Morgan was glaring out the window at us and then shifted his look towards
Jeff. Just as he opened his mouth in what I was sure was a denial Jeff
spoke.

"Please Dad. I've worked hard ever since school let out. I'll make it up to
you I promise." He pleaded.

For a split second I thought Morgan was going to give his permission until
he grumbled. "You ain't got no money to be going off boy. Besides Gilbert
needs help pulling the bumpers off that last load of junk cars."

"Jeff doesn't need money Mr. Morgan. I'm taking Dalton to the movies and
one more won't be a problem. I said squeezing Dalton's shoulders as I still
struggled with controlling my anger with the obnoxious bastard.

"Please Daddy." Jeff pleaded.

Morgan rubbed his hand over his unshaven cheeks before grudgingly giving
his permission. "I guess one day won't make much difference. We already
lost time coming up here for that fool bicycle.

3
I reckon you can go but I'll be expecting you to help with those bumpers
tomorrow if'n Gilbert don't get them all pulled."

"Oh thanks Dad. I'll help him really I will." Jeff bubbled his face
lighting up.

"I got to be going." Morgan growled as he threw the truck into
reverse. "You going to bring him home Evers?"

"Safe and sound Mr. Morgan." I answered through clinched teeth.

We stood back while Jeff's father backed up and swung his truck around. The
bicycle in the truck bed banged against the side from the force of the turn
as he roared recklessly down the drive. I was sure it was more from anger
then the need to get wherever he was going that made him drive like the
idiot he was.

We didn't know Mom had been watching from her kitchen window until she
spoke.

"Has your father lost his mind Jeffrey, driving like a maniac?"

We spun around and Jeff answered, "No ma'am Mrs. Evers. I'm sorry."

"No need for you to be sorry. Henry hasn't been right since your mother
passed. God rest her soul. Have you had your breakfast? Of course you
haven't." She said answering herself. "Dalton take Jeff to your room so he
can clean up while I fix him something."

"What about me Mom." I asked teasingly.

"Fix yourself another cup of coffee unless you're still hungry." She said
as she moved away from the window.

"I guess she told you didn't she?" Dalton snickered.

"And she told you to take Jeff to your room so he could cleanup. While
your doing that see if you don't have a pair of shorts and a different
shirt he can wear."

				* * * * * * * * *

While Mom was preparing another breakfast I sat at the table watching her
and drinking a glass of orange juice instead of coffee. She was always the
quite dutiful housewife and mother when Dad was home and said very
little. I knew that even though she might be reading a book or the
newspaper she knew what was going on around her. Dad had not really been
very keen on my joining the navy but in the background mother pulled the
strings and he finally agreed and signed the consent form so I could
enlist. Like most women she was the power behind the throne.

"Mom, has Dalton said anything about what he wants to do after he graduates
next year?" I asked quietly as she placed Jeff's plate and cutlery on the
table.

"He has talked with your father some, Carlie, but I'm not sure that he has
the same ideas about it that Dalton does though."

"Why's that?"

"Your father seems to think that Dalton will graduate and start working
with him at Miller's. I've heard them arguing about it but not
violently. Dalton says he will not spend the rest of his life working in a
coal and lumberyard."

"You can't blame him for that Mom, I didn't want that either. There isn't
much future for him working in a family owned business."

"I suppose not Carlton but your father worked in the steel mills during the
last war and when the layoffs started Mr. Miller gave your father a job.
We aren't rich but you boys never wanted for anything." She said avoiding
my eyes as she said it.

"Mother." I said. "We weren't talking about that, we were talking about
Dalton. I know what you and Dad did for the both of us and we appreciate
it. But Mom, I can tell when you are trying to avoid something."

She looked at me nervously wiping her hands on her apron. I thought for a
moment she was about to say something more when she turned her head in the
direction of the basement door.

"Where are those boys at?" She said nervously and still avoiding looking at
me. "Jeff's breakfast will be cold before he eats it if they don't get up
here. Carlton call downstairs and tell them to hurry please."

"Yes ma'am." I said dropping the subject and getting up from the table.

				* * * * * * * * *

After calling down the stairs I waited at the top. Dalton and Jeff appeared
a few seconds after I called. Jeff was wearing a pair of khaki shorts and a
yellow pullover that Dalton had scrounged up. He was a little thinner than
Dalton but from the way the shirt fit I could see the outline of developing
pectoral muscles and his lean biceps and forearms. The shirt was tucked in
revealing his flat stomach. The muscles of his thighs flexed and bulged as
he came up the steps. Dalton was behind him with a shit-eating grin on his
face and both of them had damp hair.

"No wonder it took you so long." I whispered as Dalton passed me. He
winked, still grinning.

"Well I never." Mother exclaimed. "What took you youngsters so long? Sit
down and eat Jeffrey. Dalton, do you want another glass of milk and some
toast?"

"No ma'am. I'm still full. I'll just sit here with Jeff while he eats." He
answered looking at me with a twinkle in his eyes.

"I'll get the car turned around. You guys come on out when you're
finished." I said.

				* * * * * * * * *

It didn't take Jeff very long to eat the breakfast that mother had
prepared for him. The both came out of the side door with mother following
them. She stopped in the door and called out to me as they slid into the
back seat.

"Carlton, what time will you boys be home? I'd like to have supper ready
if you have any idea."

When I looked at Dalton and Jeff they both shrugged looking at
me. Indianapolis was not that far from Richmond and even with lunch and a
movie we could have been home for supper but I had a hunch no one wanted to
end the day that quickly and from the look I got from both of them I was
pretty sure I was right.

"I'm not sure Mom but it probably won't be that late. Why don't you and
Dad go ahead and have dinner anyway and don't worry about us."

"That's all well and good for you Carlton but don't you be keeping those
boys out too late. I heard Jeff's father tell him he needed him tomorrow. I
don't know why though, he has two other boys with families that need the
work more than Jeff. He should let him enjoy some of his summer vacation.
Just you be careful." She said.

"We will Mom." Dalton hollered out of the window.

"Oh great Dalt." I said as I put the car into gear. "Now she will worry
herself sick."

"No she won't Carl, she knows I'm with you." He said airily as he settled
back in his seat beside Jeff.

"Oh, suddenly you are as wise as Solomon." I asked looking into the rear
view mirror and seeing mother watching us.

I stopped at the end of the driveway and waved my arm out of the window
before pulling out on Cedar Rd. The corner of the house cut off my view and
I didn't see if she waved back or not.

I could see in the mirror that Jeff and Dalton had their heads together.
They were close enough to each other that their thighs were touching and
neither one knew what to do with their hands. Trying to be discreet I
adjusted the mirror and saw two very large bulges straining under khaki
cloth. Dalton caught me looking and grinning at me he ran his right hand
down in Jeff's crotch. I flipped the mirror up and then squeezed the
leaking head of my rock hard cock.

"Thank goodness we aren't driving a sedan." I thought to myself. "They both
would be naked before we got out of the Richmond city limits."

I was chaperoning two very horny teenagers and it was not helping my
constitution. Reaching under the seat for the towel Dalton had put there,
I unzipped my fly and thankful I wasn't wearing briefs I pulled my leaking
cock out.

Indianapolis was fifty miles away.
