*NOTE*

It has been quite a while since I uploaded Chapter 4.

I have had some ongoing issues in my life and I would like to thank those
who sent me emails of support, I am writing this chapter especially for
you!

This chapter will be a little different from the rest.

I have split it into parts as this chapter is especially important to me.

This will allow me to focus my attention on a piece at a time and also
allow me to get portions of the story out to you all.

All my love.

Chapter 5 (Part 1) – The Next Morning

I struggled to open my eyes as the morning sun broke through my bedroom
window. I could feel my brother laying next to me, providing the only
comfort available, but that was enough.

My eyes finally unlocked and I adjusted to the room. I was covered in
sweat, the bedsheets clung to my body.

"Good morning Charlie" My boy spoke, breaking the silence. As I looked
down, the sunlight caught his blue eyes, magnifying their color and
intensity.

"Good morning sweetie" I replied, not daring to take my eyes away from his.

Peter wriggled until he was laying on top of me. His breath rolled gently
down my face, making it's way to my lips.

"This is so perfect, I don't want to move an inch today" I whispered,
soaking in his beauty.

Peter rested his head on my chest and immediately went back to sleep,
comforted by his brothers warmth. I wrapped my arms around his slender
torso, gently caressing his back. Short memories from last night began to
flood back and with it, an intense feeling of guilt. I had crossed a new
line with my brother. We had expressed our love for one another but this
was different. This felt wrong.

I slid out from beneath Peter and made my way to the bathroom. I brushed
my teeth and stood at the mirror, contemplating what had taken place. My
stomach wrenched with an uncontrollable ache. How could I look at Peter
the same way ever again? I needed to put an end to that side of our
relationship, for both of us.

It was a little after 10 when Peter arrived into the kitchen. I had
prepared breakfast and placed it on the table. We ate for a couple of
minutes without speaking a word. I glanced to Peter and he caught my eyes
at the same time. "Well that was fun last night" Peter chirped with a
smile. "Hurry and finish your food, we need to go out soon" I replied,
with a dryness in my voice.

Peter stood up and walked out of the kitchen to fetch his coat. I waited
at the front door and Peter returned. He had a look on his face, a mixture
of confusion and disappointment. We got a bus into town and walked around
the mall for a few hours. My feet were burning, I needed a rest.

"Lets go get a drink" I announced as we reached the coffee shop. It was a
small, well lit store, decorated with mismatched furniture. I ordered two
large hot chocolates and we sat at a secluded corner table with Peter.

"Why did you not want to talk about last night?" Peter quizzed before
sipping at his drink.

"It shouldn't have...I mean...it was wrong" I stuttered

Peter's face turned to a mixture of shock and disbelief. His eyes began to
turn bright red as they filled with tears. Peter stood up and ran from the
store. An old lady in the store stared, as though I made him upset, which
I had done. I placed my coffee on the table and with a sigh, went to find
Peter. The mall was unusually busy today and the crowds of people made it
difficult to locate Peter. I weaved between the people, calling out for
Peter as I fought my way through. I eventually broke through the mass and
caught a glimpse of Peter, he was heading to the exit.

I went from a brisk walk to a sprint, trying to catch up with him. My legs
felt as though they would collapse from underneath me as I picked up speed.
Peter vanished through the exit as I got close. I stopped short of the
doors to catch my breath, panting wildly as I attempted to regain my
breath. A security guard standing by the door ran out into the street a
few seconds later.

"Call 911!" I heard him shout as I walked to the exit, curious about what
had happened.

I got to the door and was greeted by a crowd of onlookers. I used my small
size to squeeze my way through the crowd. I emerged out the other side and
saw Peter laying on the road, almost lifeless. A large sedan was
stationary to the side of him, the driver kneeling down to Peter.

I walked onto the road and approached, the security guard stopped me when I
got close.

"That's my brother" I replied, beginning to sob. A lady emerged from the
crowd and wrapped her arms around me, burying my face in her coat. I
forced my head from her grip and turned to see Peter open his eyes for a
second, before closing back down.

Through my crying I could hear the siren of the ambulance as it got
closer...
