Now back to our story>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"I'm not wearin' `em."

"Why not?"

"They're torn clear up to the waist band." Sean complained displaying the
rent.

"How'd that happen?" Alan wondered sounding sarcastic.

"I think Brad chewed through `em." Josh jibbed.

"You shoulda woke me." Alan pouted.

"You'd been fucked unconscious by satyr boy here, and Mom was due home in
an hour."

"They'd make you look hot." Josh teased.

"They'd get me arrested when my junk flopped out of `em."

"You could wear a jock." Alan offered.

There was a tearing noise and the argument was settled.

"Ya didn't have to ruin `em."

"We're ready." Derrick announced emerging from the kitchen.

Alan produced the keys. The rest of them grabbed the assembled gear and
headed to the truck. It was a perfect beach day; hot, cloudless and
breezy. The drive to the lake front was pleasant. Sean and Derrick sat in
the truck bed amid the gear. Sean's new perspective was in evidence during
the entire trip, the mall, the gas station, the street, and the park were
filled with eye candy. Boys in tight jeans, in loose tee's, shirtless,
sweaty, working, playing, they were everywhere. The way to the beach led
through the park and as the tennis courts came in sight Sean's cock
stirred. The beach was on an island that served as a breakwater to the
city marina. Al didn't park at the public beach, but pulled down the
island to an unguarded section favored by high school and college kids.
They dragged their gear over the dune that sheltered the parking lot and
found their favorite spot available; a sandy notch in the dune shaded by a
spreading maple tree.

Lunch was the first order of business. They settled down to cold pop and
sandwiches. The beach was busy. Dozens of young people swam sunned and
played along the bayside. Sean ate sparingly and relaxed in the shade.
Josh seemed intent as a commando to reconnoiter the beach and gather
intelligence on this theatre of action.

"You need sun screen." Derrick warned Josh and Sean.

"What are you talking about," Josh protested.

"You're a peel and burn specialist." Derrick reminded him.

"You Irish boys." Alan snorted.

"I'll take some." Sean said rousing himself.

Derrick was quick to help rubbing the gel into his freckled shoulders and
back.

"That feels great." Sean said basking under his touch. "But you better
cut it out or I'll want more than a back rub."

"Mmmmm," Derrick cooed in his ear, "anytime you're in need handsome, you
just let me know."

Sean groaned contentedly and eased himself up against the tree trunk.

"Is that what you intend to do all day?" Josh asked returning to the
blanket after a quick trip up the beach.

"Josh I only graduated a few weeks ago I deserve a little down time." Sean
complained.

"There is enough talent on this beach to keep your dick wet till spring."
Josh reported.

Sean chuckled and shook his head.

"He's not joking." Alan concurred. Half the varsity football team is
here, and half the senior and junior girls are on hand to check them out."

"Are you coming?" Josh offered.

"Not that I've noticed." Sean yawned looking to the crotch of his baggy
nylon swim trunks.

Josh and Alan roamed away up the beach. Sean settled peacefully into a
nap. Derrick read for a bit then daydreamed. Josh and Derrick
complemented each other; introvert and extrovert. Derrick was thoughtful,
shy, and well mannered. Josh was fun brash and reckless. They'd been best
friends since the first day of kindergarten. Derrick had been crying due
to the separation from his mother. Josh felt compassion for him, harboring
the same feelings, but unwilling to give in to them. The jester was a role
Josh played at home when Mom was blue, and he tried his best to divert his
new friend with the same antics. As he did, one of the other classmates
began taunting Derrick. Josh felt compelled to act, and punched Derrick's
tormentor square in the nose. Derrick chuckled to himself remembering the
moment.

Derrick had always known he was gay. He wasn't sure if any of the other
boys in his circle of friends and buddies felt the same way. He knew Josh
didn't. Josh was a reckless sexual partner. Unreasonably self assured,
and willing to take nearly any risk. He knew Josh had tried it with girls,
but was not terribly successful because of his age, lack of social grace,
brash nature, and demanding sexual demeanor. Unbridled boy sex better
suited Josh's appetite, and young male libidos complemented his style and
demeanor perfectly. When he matured, things would change, Derrick felt it
as certainly as he knew his name. Josh didn't kiss, or not at least until
Sean had kissed him.

"That really summed up the difference between the brothers," Derrick
thought watching Sean sleep in the dappled sunlight.

Sean had slowly slumped sideways onto the blanket. With his face in repose
and pillowed on his arm he looked angelic. Derrick reached down and gently
stroked his shoulder. A shadow enveloped him.

"He'll probably wake up if you drool on him." Quipped a rich male voice.

Derrick startled but recognizing the voice laughed softly.

"He'd mind about as much as you do Tim." Derrick said standing to face the
new arrival.

The boy before him looked like the archetype of the adolescent jock:
six-four nearly two forty, wavey hair, chiseled features, bulging muscles.
He smiled at Derrick and ran an appraising eye over Sean.

"Boyfriend?"

"I wish." Derrick sighed.

"Buddies?"

"Yeah." Derrick admitted.

"Half way home then, little cousin." Tim counseled.

"Can only hope."

"He is a hottie." Tim admitted.

"He's all that."

"He'd be stupid not to snap up a prize like you." Tim said turning to
leave.

"You mean that?" Derrick wondered following Tim a few steps.

"Do I let any other boys suck my dick." Tim challenged.

"Yeah you do," Derrick said calling his bluff.

He caught Derrick by the arms and looked him in the eye.

"You deserve to be happy. You were the one that turned me around. You
saved my life." Tim's eyes welled with tears.

"That was a long time ago." Derrick said brushing off the wave of emotion
that threatened to envelope him.

"And every day since has been a gift you gave me." Tim said, "if he's got
a brain...if he's got a heart he'll understand how special you are, and
he'll never let you go."

Strong arms pulled Derrick off his feet and into a deep warm hug.

"I mean it little man. You saw how troubled I was, you cared enough to
ask, to pry...to..." Derrick could feel the tears on his shoulder.

"It's okay." He whispered in Tim's ear.

"It is now."

He kissed Derrick's cheek and set him down. Then using the hem of his tee
shirt to dry the tears revealed deeply cut abs and slabs of pectoral
muscle. Derrick smiled as Tim jogged up the beach. He turned back toward
the blanket to find Sean propped up on an elbow and intently watching.
Derrick bit his lip, then busied himself with retrieving a pop and settling
back into his book.

"What was that about?" Sean asked not being able to contain his curiosity.

"What?"

"That little moment you had there. I didn't catch the conversation, but
those were tears on Tim Morrisey's face."

"Wasn't really anything." Derrick said trying to avoid the subject and
pretending to read his book.

"You breakin' that jock's heart?"

Derrick pretended not to hear, but began to smile as idea slowly sunk in.
Sean thought Tim was in love with Derrick. Which meant Sean was thinking
that boys could be in love, and that Derrick was loveable.

"No," Derrick said lowering his book, "he's my cousin, on Mom's side."

"Hey nothing wrong with keepin' it in the family." Sean chuckled. "Look at
me and Josh."

"That's not the same thing."

"What?"

"That's sex, not love."

"There's nothing wrong with that...is there?"

"Do you mean love or sex."

"Everybody needs both at some point...right?"

Derrick paused to ponder the question.

"I mean they are separate things," Sean continued, "not necessarily
mutually inclusive."

"So you could have sex with someone you hate?"

"I'd suppose. I had sex with two people I don't even know." Sean said
thinking back on Josh's lesson in the park.

"Have you ever been in love?" Derrick asked.

"No," Sean admitted, "I mean I love my Mom and Josh, and you and Al and
all, but not like romantic love. You?"

"Yes."

"Josh?"

"No," Derrick admitted.

"Who?"

Derrick looked Sean in the eye, then lost his nerve. Sean stomach growled
deep and loud.

"Want a kiss?" Derrick offered.

"Huh?"

"Hershey's kiss, do you want one?"

"Chocolate, you bet." Sean said sitting up.

Derrick dumped the bag of snacks on the blanket and found the chocolate.
They tore into the package and began unwrapping the treats only to find
them melting in the heat of the day. The condition of the snack did
nothing to deter their hunger and they shared the candy until their fingers
and lips were covered in the dripping confection.

"Didn't bring napkins." Derrick said as he searched their gear.

Sean reached for his tee shirt.

"You'll ruin it." Derrick warned noticing it was one of Sean's favorites.

"So what now?" Sean wondered licking his fingers.

Derrick smiled devilishly and smeared chocolate across Sean's chest.
Sean's eyes grew and he laughed as they began wrestling and finger painting
each other with the melted chocolate. It devolved into a tickle fight and
Sean, despite being the stronger by far, was also far more ticklish.
Begging for respite, and declaring Derrick the winner they fell back to the
blanket panting. Their torsos and faces were smeared with chocolate.

"Could have just licked it off my fingers." Sean complained inspecting the
mess.

"We could still lick it off?" Derrick offered raising an eyebrow.

"Right here?"

"Josh would."

"Josh is usually thinking with the wrong head. What I need is a shower."
Sean reasoned.

"You could walk back the bath house, but there's plenty of water right
there." Derrick said nodding toward the bay.

Sean was up and running for the water; Derrick quick to follow. They
laughed as they sprinted. Just as they came onto the open beach Sean ran
headlong into a boy running in the other direction. It was Tim. He was
focused on catching a football and not looking for a tackler in a simple
game of catch. Sean hadn't seen him because the dune had partially covered
his approach. They collided with frightening force and tumbled together
over the sand. Tim recovered quickly springing to his feet and in
possession of the football.

"Nice catch." Derrick admitted

Sean groaned trying to rise.

"Easy buddy." Tim said kneeling by his side. "Just stay down till you're
ready."

Tim noticed the brown smears across Sean's torso, then spotted the same
markings on his cousin Derrick. He looked down to see that the marks had
been transferred to him in the collision. He looked to Derrick
questioningly.

"Chocolate." The boy admitted.

"Oh man," Sean said sitting up.

"Feeling a little better?" Tim wondered.

"Yeah, just didn't see it coming." Sean reasoned.

"Hey its okay. No blood no foul." Tim laughed.

"Just wanted to wash this shit off." Sean explained.

"Why, looks good enough to eat?" Tim smiled running a finger just under
Sean's nipple and bring it to his smiling lips with a wink. Sean marveled
for a moment stunned at the implication.

Two boys came jogging up to meet them.

"Dude, everybody okay?"

"Yeah, gonna hit the waves for a moment and get the sand and muck off."
Tim explained tossing them the ball.

The three of them walked into the lake and tended to removing the chocolate
from their frames. Sean and Derrick assisted each other seeing their backs
had seen as much application as had their arms and chests.

"If I watch you two any longer not even the cold water is gonna stop me
from getting wood." Tim admitted. Sean blushed.

"You have plans for this evening?" Tim wondered.

"Me?" Sean marveled.

"Actually that was addressing you plural, if you'll excuse the teacher
talk."

"I've got work tonight." Derrick reported.

"I haven't made any plans." Sean admitted.

"We're going to have a special workout at the field house," Tim offered,
"around eight, stop by." Sean and Derrick were finishing up as Tim walked
away. The High School Sports fields weren't on the school campus, but
across town on land adjoining the far end of the park. To facilitate the
teams that used these fields the boosters had built a field house for the
teams. It incorporated lockers, showers, equipment storage, trainer's
rooms, offices and a state of the art weight room.

"Special workout?" Sean wondered aloud.

"He told me about those." Derrick explained.

"And..."

"He's quarterback, and offensive captain, coach gave him keys to the field
house. Some nights he and a friend or two head over there and do what
buddies do." Derrick grinned.

"And you're his buddy?" Sean queried.

"Since long before he was on the varsity, but he's never invited me to the
field house before." Derrick admitted.
Sean thought on the offer, and Derrick's admission of having other
partners. Sean wondered how many. When they'd returned to their blanket
Josh and Alan were back and devouring another round of sandwiches.

"You assholes didn't eat all the sandwiches did you." Derrick scolded.

"Why?" Josh wondered.

"One of them was my dinner before we head into work." Derrick explained.

"I'll buy us something on the way in, I've got that cash from helping out
Jim's dad."

"Helping him out, yeah," Alan snickered.

"Did you hit on Jim's dad?" Sean marveled.

"What, hit on him, no, he was fixing the roof of his garage and Al and Jim
and I helped him with the trusses."

"Yeah and he had his hands all over you most of the afternoon." Alan
testified.

"He was a little touchy feely, come to think about it." Josh mused.

"And you didn't lead him on?" Derrick accused.

"Well I didn't stop him, and I wasn't wearin' much."

"My little brother the perv." Sean sighed.

"Not all touching is bad touching." Josh reminded them.

"What would constitute bad touching for you?" Sean wondered.

"Hey I have standards." Josh complained. "You boys are some pretty hot
property."

Derrick smiled at him. Alan blushed.

"Well ya are." Josh averred.

"Thanks little bro." Sean replied. "What time do you two have to be at
work?"

"Four to eleven." Derrick answered.

"Already two." Alan reported.

"We'll shower up at the bath house and you can drop us off on the way out
of town." Josh planned.

"That's cool, give me a little time with the new guy." Alan grinned.

"New guy?" Sean wondered.

"Yeah the new guy." Alan said pinching Sean's ass.

"Not sure I'll ever get used to this." Sean admitted.

"That's one of your quainter charms." Derrick said catching Sean's eye.

"Frisbee?" Josh offered brandishing the disk.

Alan and Derrick ran off to join him.

Sean sat on the bayside face of the dune and watched the three of them
tossing the disk. A number of today's events littered his thoughts. There
had obviously been something more between Derrick and Tim than a greeting
between cousins, even if they were kissin' cousins.

Up the beach a short way Tim was quarterbacking a game of touch. Even at
this distance he could see the boy's muscled body gleaming in the sun. He
wondered if he should accept the invitation to the field house. It didn't
seem to matter to Tim that Derrick couldn't make it, and Derrick had
mentioned that Tim had never invited him before. He wondered if the
invitation was for a personal workout session, or would "other" buds have
been invited as well? Derrick's tacit admission of having more partners
lingered on Sean's mind as well. Despite any rationale' Sean could muster
it disturbed him. He wasn't sure what it meant and all the other rapid
changes of the past few days lent to his confusion.

As he pondered the possibilities Sean's vision took in the broad variety of
boys taking part in the game. Alan had been correct about a majority of
the varsity being present. Sean knew most of them. Some he'd seen
changing for gym, but his new vision provided an entirely different
perspective. Here on the beach the majority of them were shirtless. They
wore some form of shorts, from baggy nylon swim wear much like Sean's to
ratty denim cutoffs. D J Carter loomed into view. He'd graduated with
Sean. He was the quintessential offensive lineman; six and a half feet
tall and massively built. Sean shuddered considering the outcome should he
be proportionally hung.

"What cha thinking about?" Derrick asked as he flung himself to the dune
beside Sean.

 "Nothing."

"Looks like something." Derrick said sliding a hand up Sean's thigh.

Sean jumped, and realized he was very erect.

"Might want to take a dip and cool things down."

"Traitor." Sean said slapping at the pole pitched in his swim trunks.

"I thought it was Josh that was into the rough stuff." Derrick joked.

"Can't seem to keep things in control."

"It's an exciting view." Derrick said peering up the beach.

"Yeah, a new view." Sean said almost to himself.

"He's a sweat-heart."

"What?"

"Tim." Derrick said nodding up the beach.

"Oh yeah, well, I don't think he has romance in mind...does he?"

"Probably not," Derrick said becoming introspective.

Sean noticed Derrick's withdrawal and spent a moment pondering the boy.

"Can I ask what was going on between you two earlier?"

"No." Derrick said smiling. "You ask him. If he tells you it's okay with
me."

"May not have the opportunity." Sean reasoned.

"You have every opportunity. You can go ask him now...or you can show up
at the field house tonight. I wouldn't miss it if I weren't working.
Besides, he seemed a lot more interested in you than me."

"Is that a problem?" asked Sean. "What?"

"Everything we've done's been hot enough to melt my brain, and once things
get going it's impossible to think, so I'm trying to sort things out before
my brain gets boiled by the heat. You're my friend. I meant it earlier
when I said I love you guys. I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. So if
you don't want me to..."

"Shhhhhh," Derrick said quieting Sean. "I don't think you'd ever hurt me,
or Al and certainly not Josh. Nobody's forcing anyone to do anything they
don't want. So there's no need to start in on a guilt trip about enjoying
yourself."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. Besides I've already had a fair share of Tim." Derrick
grinned.
