Subject: Searching for My Identity, Part 13 (gay/incest)

Where we left them:

"Hey, I wonder if the Gillette sisters house is still on the market.
You know, the one on Crestview. That place would be perfect." Rex said
to Dad.

"Oh yeah. Went to a charity event there a few years back. In the
middle of a neighborhood, up against the mountains, but still very
private. Pool, hot tub. Pretty sure it has enough bedrooms." Dad said.
"I'll call Levi in the morning and see what he knows."

"Levi?" I asked.

"His realtor. He's responsible for your Dad buying up half of Palm
Springs." Rex said.

"I don't own half of Palm Springs. Just the parts of it I want to
save." Dad said. I would have to find out more about that later. I
really would love to know what he owns around here.

Part 13:

After the decision was made on pursuing the house we postponed the Key
West trip until Thanksgiving weekend. We were lucky and were still
able to get the same reservations. Rex worked miracles on that one.

Dad and his realtor, Levi, went to work right away and secured the
new house discounted because it was going to be a cash deal and Dad
agreed to pay the closing costs.

The closing took less than thirty days. Dad and Rex had taken the job
of buying furnishings and getting the house ready. They had Pedro over
the new house a lot and left Trent and Ricky with me all the time.
Which, of course, I didn't mind their company at all. They both had
attributes to keep me busy.

By the time Dad and Rex had the house ready it had been only 45 days
since I had requested the change in our living arrangement. Since then
everyone was busy doing something. And everyone was getting along
great.

Max, meanwhile, had his office space leased and had hired a small
staff to get him going. Things were working out well for him and I was
glad. Unfortunately it took a lot of work to start up a business like
that and we hardly ever saw him anymore.

Since Trent, Ricky and I were on our own a lot we became pretty close.
Trent, of course, was the more serious one. Every little noise made
him go and feel his gun to make sure it was there. But when Ricky went
on duty Trent was able to relax a bit and have a beer or two and hang
out with me. Usually naked by the pool. And yes, Trent and I still did
the deed but not as regular as one might think.

Then in the mornings, when Ricky's shift was over, he would sneak into
my room and strip down and crawl into bed with me. I loved waking up
to this little hunk in my bed. With Ricky I could be both dominant and
passive and he could do the same. With Trent I'm usually the passive
one so it seems to get routine. Ricky I really enjoy.

We were due to fully move into the new house in three days. All the
furnishings were delivered and bought with all of our input. There was
a designer, of course, that put the finishing touches on and a kitchen
crew that built a kitchen meant to feed six hungry men. We doubled the
refrigeration space and put in industrial stove, dishwasher and sinks.
Pedro was loving it.

So a couple of mornings before we were to move I left Ricky to sleep
in my bed and met Trent out in the living room for our daily run.
Trent was wearing running shorts and a tee shirt. He wore a larger tee
shirt when we ran because he always had his gun holster underneath. I,
on the other hand, always just wore low riding compression shorts
without a shirt. Or underwear. There was always a hint of buzzed pubic
hair and ass crack showing. I was a regular exhibitionist and I loved
it. I noticed Trent must like it too since he seemed to let me run
ahead of him every now and then.

We got into a routine to run every morning at 7am. It was a good
routine to have since right after that we hit the home gym. And then
we would have a light breakfast.

But on this particular morning, on our way back to the house, there
were three police cars parked in the driveway. Just as we saw this
Trent's phone started to ring.

He answered it, it was Ricky, "Trent get Scott back to the house now."
He was loud enough that I could hear him. I looked at Trent and he had
a panicked look on his face. Between the cops and the phone call I
didn't blame him.

We ran the last few blocks back to the house as fast as we could. When
we got to the front door there was a cop guarding it. He stopped us
and asked us who we were. Ricky came out, in just really short shorts,
and told him it was ok.

As we walked into the house I realized that Ricky had on a pair of my
shorts. He must have just grabbed the first thing he could find when
the woke him up.

"What the hell is going on Ricky?" Trent asked.

"There are more cops in the living room. The chief is actually here
with them. Come on." he answered.

We walked into the living room. Two more cops and the Palm Springs
Chief of Police were there waiting. The Chief got up. I knew him and
Trent knew each other.

"Hi Trent" he said, very somber, as he got up to shake Trent's hand.

"Tom, what the hell is going on?" Trent took his hand and asked. "Oh,
I'm sorry, this is Scott Evans." He introduced us. We shook hands.

"Scott, good to meet you, sorry for all your troubles. We've been
trying to watch out for this guy that is after you and I'm afraid he
got past us" he then turned to Trent, "This Jeb, or Mark, character
broke into Scott's house early this morning. There was a confrontation
with Mr. Shaw...the tenant?..I believe?"

"The house is actually his now. It's been signed over to him" I
answered. "What happened? Is Max alright?" I became anxious.

"I'm afraid not Scott. He's at Desert Regional right now. He was shot
four times. Lost a lot of blood." The Chief said.

I turned to go get dressed. "Ricky stay with Scott." I heard Trent
say. My only mission now was to get to the hospital. I did hear Trent
say to the Chief as I went down the hall, "And what about Jeb?"

"He got away...." was all I heard of the answer as I went into my room.

Ricky was right on my ass. Following me right into the bathroom. I
looked at him. "We both need a shower. Let's just both hop in the
shower and I'll get you to the hospital." And I knew right then that
there was nothing sexual on his mind but that he also wasn't going to
leave my side for a second. Not even if I had to take a dump. He was
attached from here on out.

We showered quickly and then Ricky waited naked as I dressed and then
made me follow him to his and Trent's room so that he could find some
decent cloths to put on.

By the time we got back to the living room Trent was dressed as well.
Back in a suit and starched shirt. He was on duty from now on.

We went out to the Tahoe and the three of us got in. An officer was to
escort us to and from the hospital. Another officer was going to stay
at our house at all times.

When we got into the car, Ricky drove, and Trent filled us in. "Jeb
broke into Max's house thinking you still lived there. It woke Max up.
He was alone. Max went out to see what was going on. Jeb held a gun to
him and asked where you were. Max said you didn't live there any
longer. Jeb called him a liar and asked again where you were. Max
wouldn't say anything else. In a rage Jeb shot him four times. Two of
the shots are critical. And then he left him for dead. Police got a
call from neighbors that there were gun shots coming from Max's house.
The police got there and the front door was wide open and Max was
laying in the living room. Conscious but unable to move. Ambulance
came and they got him to a hospital. An officer rode in with him to
get as much of a statement as he could. Max was able to tell him
everything I just told you. He's in surgery now."

"And Jeb?" I asked. I was in shock. It was such a horrible thing to
happen to Max. It was all my fault. Jeb was after me. There was no
reason to shoot Max.

"He got away. They don't know where he is." Trent said with a heavy sigh.

We arrived at the hospital after that. We parked and the cop parked
next to us. He escorted us in. When we got to the floor where the
surgery was taking place we saw two other police officers. We were all
introduced and one of those police officers went to get the nurse on
duty.

After explaining who we were and our relationship to Max the nurse
explained the condition of Max.

"I'm afraid he had a collapsed lung and was bleeding internally. He's
been in surgery for two hours. That is all I can tell you right now.
Once the surgeon is done I'll have him brief you. Sorry." and with
that she left to go do her other duties.

We all looked at each other and then just sat down. Nothing we could
do. The three officers hung out together, but close by, and we sat in
the waiting area. Trent was not relaxing though. Every little noise
made him look. He was 'on'. And he wasn't going to shut off soon.

Ricky, on the other hand, was more of the concerned friend. Watching
over me like a best friend looks after the other. He was 'on' too. But
in a totally different way than Trent.

Thirty minutes after we got there Dad, Rex and Pedro came rushing in.
The police officers started to advance on them but Trent told them it
was ok and to stand down.

"Son, are you ok?" Dad came right over to me.

"I'm fine. Wasn't involved at all. It's Max that we have to worry about."

"Of course." Was all he said. And then he hugged me. Hard. Wouldn't
let me go for a few minutes. When he did Rex came over for a quick hug
and a kiss on the cheek. And then Pedro. All quite chaste.

Then we waited. We talked about nothing. Nothing any of us would
remember anyway. And waited some more.

Finally. Three hours after Trent, Ricky and I got there. The surgeon
and someone else came out. We all stood.

"So I hear this is Mr. Shaw's extended family" he smiled warmly. Not
condescending at all. Very understanding. That's at least how I took
it. Maybe he was family as well. "Mr. Shaw went through the surgery
well. He lost a lot of blood and is very weak. We were able to fix his
lung but we had to remove his spleen. Other than that the other two
bullets did very minor damage. But, because of his lung and the blood
loss, Mr. Shaw will be with us for a few days. We will closely monitor
him for the next 48 hours. He is not totally out of the woods yet but
things look good."

We all breathed a sigh of relief and then I asked, "When can we see him?"

"I am going to keep him in ICU for the next 24 hours. Someone will be
by his bedside the whole time. After that he will be moved to a
private room and will be checked round the clock. I would prefer no
visitors for the first 24 hours. I understand the police are itching
to get to him for another statement as well. But I'm going to hold
firm to that 24 hours for anyone. I hope you all understand."

"Whatever it takes doctor. We want him well." I answered.

With that we all told him thank you and he turned and went back to
work. We all just stood there for a while and looked at each other.
Not really sure what to do.

"Has anyone eaten?" Dad finally said.

We all shook our head no.

"Well we're not going to do Max any good if we all don't eat. Let's go
to the restaurant and we'll have lunch in the private room. " Dad then
put a call into Stewart to tell him we were coming.

We've had lunch and dinner there quite a few times in that room since
the first time I met Jeb there. So it was no big deal to go back. The
good memories there out way the one bad memory, which is Jeb, by far.

There would be six of us plus one cop. The cop had to watch the door
so Stewart was told to set up a bar table and stool outside the door
to the private room so that the cop could still be fed while he did
his duty.

Trent, Ricky, Pedro and I went to the Tahoe and Rex and Dad followed
in their car. The cop, of course, escorted us again.

It was a somber lunch. We were there to eat and that was what we did.
No sexual overtones. The waiter even wore a shirt under his jacket.
I'm sure Dad arranged that. Usually its all flirty and exhibitionist
service. But not today.

"Son, I think its time to get you moved to the new house. It has a
much better security system than the old house and your room will be
centrally located. Ricky's room is right next to yours and Trent's is
right across the hall. So I think its best if you don't even go back
to the old place." Dad said.

I just shrugged my shoulders and shook my head. I forgot that this was
all about me. All I could think about was that it was all about Max.
And that he recovered.

It was decided then that Ricky and I would go to the new house with
the cop and Dad and Rex. Trent and Pedro would go back to the old
house and gather up all our personal stuff. And then the old house
would be vacant and closed up till we decided what to do with it.

For the next few days I felt like I was living in a bubble. 24 hour
security and no one left my side. Thankfully Ricky was the one that
got the job of being with me all the time. Trent would have been too
intense.

We visited Max often and he was making a quick recovery. We were all
thankful for that. He still had a cop posted outside his room.

Five days after the incident the Chief of Police showed up at our door
early in the morning. Trent let him in. We all gathered in the living
room.

"I wanted to get to you all before the media got it. Jeb broke into
your old house last night. Tore the place up. Obviously was angry
because he couldn't find anyone. The officer sitting in his patrol car
outside heard the noise and radio'd for backup. When the other cars
came they approached the house. Jeb resisted and shot at the officers.
They took him down. Jeb is gone." he told us in a very straight
forward manner.

We just all looked at each other. None of us knew what to say. Jeb was
a part of my two Dad's lives for a long time. And to me, I thought he
was someone special in my life, boy was I wrong. So none of us knew
whether we should mourn his passing or be relieved.

I was suddenly over come. My knees weakened. I fell to the floor and passed
out.

You knew something had to go wrong in the unlucky Part 13!! Sorry for
the lack of sex. But we had to wrap things up with Jeb. As they say,
'Things get better' in Part 14, coming soon. :)
