The Potter's Wheel
Chapter Ten
Reprisal Inc.
Monday September 21, 2009
Barry sat on the exam table wearing just open back gown. He had already
been x-rayed and had blood drawn. He was just waiting for Mack to come in
and do an ultrasound. This test would show an image of his gall-bladder
and any inflammation or stones. When he was through with the test Mack
gave his diagnoses.
"Just as I thought," Mack said wiping the jelly off Barry and then covering
him up. "You need to have your gall-bladder out. It's not a big deal, just
an out-patient procedure. We can do it next week, if you're free."
"I'm free, just not happy about it," Barry said with a weak smile. "I'm not
much for surgery."
"Don't worry about it; it's not a big deal. You'll be in bed for a day or
two. I've seen what's in your bed. I wouldn't mind being confined to it,"
Mack said with a wink.
Barry drove home thinking about his up-coming operation. Mack said he just
needed his gall-bladder out but he had a bad feeling about this. He
decided to keep his misgivings to himself. Ever since he was wounded he
had become just a little paranoid about anything medical.
When he pulled into the driveway he saw Derrick playing catch with Ryan.
He looked at his son and smiled. Just seeing his son happy and smiling
made all his problems vanish. When Ryan saw him, he came running. "Daddy,
Uncle Derrick is teaching me to play baseball," he enthused.
"That's great buddy," Barry said as he picked his son and hugged him, and
tried to hide the wince from the pain in his side. Ryan didn't notice but
Derrick did and said nothing.
Barry smiled at Derrick, "Hey mate, you doing okay?"
"Yeah, things will be fine. I think he's just making me sweat a little,"
Derrick said with an impish grin.
"Well he should," Barry said, "just say you're sorry and don't mess up any
more, he's a keeper," Barry said as they walked towards the house.
Derrick just nodded and smiled, then said, "So Baz, are you doing okay?"
"Yeah mate, it's great. Just need a little procedure to get rid of my
gall-bladder. It's an outpatient thing," he said, keeping it lite.
"Good," Derrick said sincerely and then said goodbye and headed to George's
house. Barry, with Ryan in his arms, went into the house to find Matt and
Jim. After dropping Ryan off in the kitchen where George was fixing lunch
for Kelly, he found Matt and Jim in the office with Declan who had just
arrived. He was picking up Scott and taking him to Virginia. Jim had
called Sunday night and filled him in on the episode with Derrick and they
agreed that it might be a good idea to remove Scott from the scene.
"We hope you know that he is always welcome here. We just think it's best
for now until Tim and Derrick work through it," Matt was saying as Barry
entered the office.
"No, I understand completely. It's a learning experience all around. You
can be sure that Dave will have a conversation with him about boundaries,"
Declan said and then he noticed Barry come in.
"Hey Baz, I'm glad you made it home before I left. How was your doctor
visit? Declan asked.
"Good, thanks. Just need to have my gall-bladder out, no biggie," Barry
said calmly. "Declan, there is something I wanted you to look into. There
is something about Junior's financials that raised a flag." He noticed the
look on Declan's face. "Don't ask," he said with a smile, causing Matt and
Jim to both chuckle. "I noticed he has a few accounts in the Cayman
Islands. He doesn't make that much money to warrant off-shore accounts.
I'm sure it's not kosher."
"Good pick-up Bazz, I'll be sure to look into it," Declan said.
Jasmine was sitting in the family room. She was staring at her phone and
looking distressed when Mike walked into the room. She had just received
another text and was so deep in thought that she didn't even notice Mike
standing in front of her and when he spoke she jumped in surprise.
"Sorry Jas, I didn't mean to startle you," Mike said looking at her with
concern. He had gotten to know her well over the last year and he could
tell she was rattled and it concerned him.
"Nothing, I was just deep in thought," she said unconvincingly.
"Not buying it kiddo. It wasn't me startling you. You look spooked."
Jasmine knew she had to tell someone. She was starting to get scared and
she knew she had tell someone and Mike seemed the best choice. So she gave
him the whole story from the first text to the latest. Mike listened
without comment. He didn't want to say anything to alarm her. The only
advice was that maybe she should keep this from Billy for the time being.
"You know Jas, this could be just somebody playing a prank, and I think
Billy would go nuts if you told him. Let's just keep it between us for now
and let me know if you have any problems," Mike said. Jasmine stood and
thanked him as she hugged him. The hug went right to his cock which
throbbed while she held him and he inhaled her intoxicating scent. Billy
was his best friend, but he couldn't help, just thinking about Jasmine gave
him wood. They had just stepped apart when Billy came into the room. If
he had seen them hugging he said nothing. He just walked over and grabbed
his girlfriend and kissed her deeply. Mike looked on as his cock got
harder in his pants.
"We're going out to get dinner, want to come?" Billy asked.
"No thanks, I have a lot of reading to finish for tomorrow. You guys have
a good time," Mike said as he headed to his room and grabbed his book and
started to read. The problem was he couldn't concentrate. All he could
think about was hugging Jasmine and her scent. He reached down and grabbed
his cock and stroked it though his pants and before he knew it, the book
was on the floor and his hard cock was in his hand. He let it go for a
minute and let loose with a wad of spit and began to stroke it, thinking of
the beautiful Jasmine and her sweet scent. He was just getting into it
when his door opened and Conner appeared.
"What the fuck dude, don't you knock?" Mike said as he continued to stroke.
"Stop complaining buddy, looks like I got here just in time." Conner said
as he dropped to his knees and sucked Mike's dripping cock into his mouth.
Conner was doing his usual amazing tongue work while Mike lay back
pretending it was Jasmine, when they heard, "What the fuck!"
Mike looked up to see Billy standing in the doorway. "I thought you were
out with Jasmine, and by the way, don't you knock?"
Conner looked up at Billy and was almost in tears, "Billy, I'm sorry, I?"
"Dude, what the fuck is wrong with you? If I didn't have Jasmine, I'd be
letting you help me out too," Billy said to a relieved Conner. Look, I
won't hold you guys up. I just wanted to tell you I was home. Jas wasn't
feeling good after dinner," Billy said as he stripped off his shirt. "I'll
be down in the hot tub when you're done. If Mikey lasts as long as he does
when he beats off, you should be done in about two minutes."

At 1000 George's secretary knocked on his door to tell him that the boss
wanted to see him. George made his way to the big corner office wondering
what was in store for him today. He had been quite tense since he learned
the company was for sale. He didn't like change and he didn't like the
extra work it was making for him. He was even tenser since the lawyer from
California showed up and met with his boss. The owner's secretary told him
to go right in. He found his longtime boss at his desk scribbling notes,
"You wanted to see me sir?" George said.
"George," he said looking up, "yes, yes, have a seat," he said as he went
back to his notes. George sat there wondering what was in store for
him. He hoped he wasn't going to be told there had been a sale. When his
boss finally stopped writing he looked up at George, his face showing mixed
emotions.
"George, I've accepted an offer for the sale of the company. The gentleman
you met, Declan Murphy, represents a company named Reprisal Inc., from
California. He will be returning tomorrow to begin reviewing the books."
George felt his stomach tighten. This was something he was not looking
forward to. "Well I'll have everything ready for him sir," he said.
"I knew I could depend on you, and I wouldn't worry about your job. I'm
sure they will be retaining the executive staff."
"Thank you sir, I'll get right on it," George said and headed to his office
with his stomach doing flip-flops.
He just saw Jasmine leaving her dorm and walking towards Locust Street. He
sent her a very suggestive text and watched her reaction as she read it. He
felt his cock harden seeing the reaction it caused. Then he saw her
nervously shove her phone in her purse.
He made his way to Walnut Street and the Van Pelt library. Once inside, he
made his way to the Philosophy stacks, a dusty place seldom visited these
days. He needed to find a good hiding place for his phone. He couldn't
risk it being found in his room and the dusty stacks of ancient, rarely
used books might just be the perfect place.
To be continued?
Thanks for reading. Sorry for the short chapter this week, just wanted to
make sure you had something to read. I was down with a cold for a few days
and in the middle of closing up the house and heading to North Carolina.
In addition, the next few chapters are going to be very difficult to write
so please bear with me.

I receive many emails complimenting me on how well edited and easy to read
my story is, the credit goes to Jim for that, he works very hard to make
this story readable. Now most people are lucky enough to have the help of
one dedicated person, and now I have two. You can also now thank Steve;
