on two weeks' vacation and then the computer crashed on me.  Still in the

The cop in me jumped in, saying, "We don't know that for a fact.  All we
know is that he wears the same cologne as the person that hurt Sean.  It is
something we need to tell the investigator though.  I'll call him
tomorrow."

Steve looked at Sean and asked, "Have you ever had any run ins with this
Brian before?"

Sean looked down at the floor before he said, "A few weeks before I got
beat up I ran into Brian in the hall.  He pushed me up against the wall.
Then I was in shower alone at school when Brain came in.  I noticed his hot

The next day, Steve called his boss and told him he would be late for work.
Aaron picked up the boys as usual, and Steve told them to meet him at the
office after they finished with their morning workout.

Aaron and Colby were allowed to wait while Steve and Sean went in to talk
with the assistant principal.  After they came out, Steve let Aaron and
Colby know that the assistant principle had rearranged Sean's schedule to
make sure that either Colby or Aaron were in every class with Sean so he
would never be alone.

I made a phone call to the detective that was investigating Sean's case and
told him about what had happened.  The detective said he would see if he
could track down Brain at school later that day to have a talk with.  We
both knew it was a long shot but was hoping something would come of it.

Aaron and Colby made sure that one of them were with Sean at all times.
Aaron did notice that Brian would glare at Sean whenever they would pass in
the hallway.  I took all of Aaron's self-control to keep from jumping Brian
right in the hallway and pounding his ass.  Aaron knew that Brian had
something to do with Sean's attack.

That afternoon Detective Smith arrived at the high school to meet with
Brian.  He had already spoken by phone to the principal and the school
officer and had made arrangements to use an office to interview Brian.

When Detective Smith walked in the office, Brian was sitting just outside
the assistant principal's office.  After speaking with the Assistant
Principal, Detective Smith asked Brian to come in.

After Brian sat down in the chair, Detective Smith introduced
himself. "Brian, I'm Detective Smith with the Killeen Police department.
I'm investigating the assault on Sean Crispin.  Are you willing to talk
with me?"

Brain looked a little scared as he said, "I really don't know much about
what happened, just what I have heard around school."

Det. Smith said, "Not a problem, I am just interviewing some of the kids
that schedules would have had them in the area of the assault."

Brian said, "Sure, I'll tell you all I know."

Det. Smith smiled as he pulled out a small tape recorder from his brief
case, "Good, it won't take long.  Since you are a minor I have to record
this interview."  After starting the recorder, Det. Smith began his
interview.  "This is the interview with Brain Walters. It is Thursday, the
15th of September, at about 1:35pm.  In the room is Brian Walters,
Assistant Principle Jones, and Detective Smith from the Killeen Police
Department.  Brain, were you at school the day of the assault on Sean
Crispin?

"Yeah."

"I understand that your four period class is in the annex, correct?"

"Do you know the short cut that some students use on the back side of the
gym?"

"Yeah."

"Do you us that short cut?"

"Sometimes"

"Do you know Sean Crispin?"

"Yeah, I know who he is.  I'm not friends with him, he's gay."

Brian told Det. Smith about how Sean got hard while they were in the locker

way to prove it.

Det. Smith spent next twenty minutes asking several more questions before
letting Brian leave.  Just before Brian walked out the door, Det. Smith

Brian looked back at Det. Smith with a questioning look, "It's one of the

Det. Smith smiled and said, "Oh I just like how it smells.  Thanks again
for talking with me."  Det. Smith pushed the stop button on his tape
recorder with a smile on his face.  He knew he had his man.  Now he just
needed to prove it.  On his way back to the PD, Det. Smith called me and
briefed me on what he had learned.  He was sure that Brain assaulted Sean,
but could not prove it yet.  Det. Smith told me he was planning to stop at
Brain's house when his parents were home later that night.

Aaron dropped Colby off at his house on the way home.  Colby's dad was
beginning to make a big deal of Colby spending a lot of time over at our
house.  I don't think he was as OK with Colby's relationship with Sean as

Brian, and put his hand on my shoulder to make sure that he was in between

After dinner Aaron helped Connor clear the table and after playing a video
game with Sean and Connor, Aaron came out saying he was headed home.  I
walked Aaron out to his Jeep and before he got in, I gave him a big

involved.  I'm just waiting for a call back from the judge's office so I
can pick up the signed arrest warrant."

I just stared at Det. Smith in puzzlement not sure why Mrs. Johnston from
CPS would need to be there as we picked up this other person.  I was
totally confused at the moment.
