From Last Chapter:

The scared look left Aaron face as he realized he wasn't in any trouble and
a smile broke out on his face as he said, "Yes I did."

I got up out of my rocking chair and put my arms around Aaron's shoulders
saying, "Come on let's get a cup of coffee before the rest of the guys get
up."  We walked in side and I refilled my cup as Aaron got a cup out of the
cabinet and sat down at the breakfast bar.  As I was filling Aaron's cup
Steve walked in from the bedroom in just his boxers taking a seat next to
Aaron.  I got a cup for Steve and as I was filling it he said, "I forgot
how hard it is to sleep with Connor in our bed."

I looked over at Aaron and said, "I think you need to have a talk with
Connor if you plan to stay over with TJ anymore.  I think he missed you
last night because he crawled in bed with us last night.

Just as the words left my mouth out walks a naked Connor from our room.  I
don't even think he realized he was still naked.  When he looked up and saw
Aaron he stopped for just a second and I could see the hurt in his eyes.
Connor said "Good morning dads" and then continued to walk towards his side
of the cabin.

Aaron just watched Connor walk to his side of the cabin before he turned
back towards Steve and I saying, "I think you are right, I think I owe
someone an explanation and maybe an apology." With that Aaron got up and
followed Connor to his room.

Chapter 39
**********

Sean and Colby were just finishing getting dressed and where about to walk
out into the living room as a visibly upset and still naked Connor walked
into the bedroom followed by Aaron.  Sean and Colby looked at each other
and both knew that Connor and Aaron needed some alone time.

Arron shut the door after Sean and Colby went out into the living room.
Connor was standing by his bed digging through his bag for some clean
boxers to put on.  Aaron walked over to Connor's bed and sat down next to
where Connor was standing.

Aaron really didn't know what to say to Connor but knew Connor was upset
with him.  Aaron cleared his throat before saying, "I think I owe you an
explanation and apology.  Last night I walked TJ back to his cabin and he
invited me to stay the night with him.  I'm not sure what is happening with
me but I know that I really enjoy being around TJ and I believe that he
feels the same about me and I know that means not spending as much time
with you and your bothers and that sucks.  I'm sorry if I hurt you by not
coming back in here to sleep and cuddle with you.  I enjoy our time
together but I think I may need some time with guys closer to my age.  I
hope you can understand."

Connor just stood there holding his clean boxers as Aaron talked.  When
Aaron finished Connor bent over and but his boxers on before turning around
to face Aaron.  Connor asked, "Did you and TJ have sex last night?"

Aaron had a hard time looking Connor in the eyes answering, "Yes."

Connor continued, "Did you like having sex with TJ?  Do you love him?"

Aaron answered, "Yes I enjoyed being with TJ and I really like him but I'm
not sure that I love him.  Hell I'm not sure if I want be with a guy or a
girl right now.  I am very confused at what the future holds for me.  But
one thing I know for sure is that I want you and your bothers and both your
dads in my live.  I love all of you.  I know that I love you like a true
brother."

Connor said, "I guess I can understand that your having trouble figuring
all of this out.  I know that I am.  I like looking at girls and have
dreams about them but then at the same time I really like it when we sleep
together.  I know we can't have sex but I really like it when we cuddle."

Aaron thought for a few minutes before saying, "I think we are both
struggling with our sexuality and maybe we can help each other."

Connor said, "How?"

Aaron answered, "By talking to each other about our feelings, experiences
and always being honest and open with each other.  I promise that I will
always be honest with you and answer any questions you might have as you
try to figure out what you want and I hope that you will be there for me to
if I need someone to talk to."

Connor looked up off the ground to look Aaron in the eyes saying, "I
promise I'll be there for but I'm not sure that I will know what to say.
Can we still cuddle when you spend the night?"

Aaron grabbed Connor who was still in just his boxers and pulled him into a
hug.  After a minute or so they separated and Aaron asked, "Are we good?"

Connor smiled saying, "Yeah we're good.  We better get going or we are
going to be late for breakfast."  Aaron watched as Connor grabbed a pair of
jeans and pulled them on over his slim waist before he grabbing a shirt
from his bag and pulled it over his hair that was still messed up from
sleeping.

Connor and Aaron came out just as the rest of us were walking out the door
for the short walk over to the mess hall cabin.  We all walked in just a
minute before Jose started the day off with a prayer before breakfast.  At
breakfast I noticed that Aaron seamed to be paying a little more attention
to Connor but TJ was right here with him. I also noticed both Eric and
David were missing from breakfast.  Then I realized I didn't see the truck
and horse trailer outside the barn when we walked over to the mess hall.

I asked Jose, "I take it David and Eric are already on there way to look at
the horses up near our place."

Jose answered, "Yes Sir.  I wanted them to get a head start since they
where pulling the horse trailer.  I kind of figured Marie and I would
follow you and Steve once all the morning chores are taken care of.  I
might need your help finding this place."

I laughed a little when he said he might need help finding this place.  I
have learned that Jose is a very organized person and makes sure every
detail is coordinated so I knew this was Jose being funny.  Besides I also
know that Jose has a GPS in that huge truck of his.

The boys helped the ranch hands with the morning chores and then grabbed a
quick shower before getting all there stuff packed and hauled out to the
truck.  We met up with the Jose and Maria for the drive home.  The plan was
to drive to our house first and then drive out to where Eric and David were
looking at the horses.

Colby and Sean decided to ride with Jose and Maria and Connor asked if he
could ride back with Aaron and TJ.  I was a little surprised when he asked
to ride with Aaron when he found out that TJ was going to ride up with him
and then ride back with Eric and David.  Steve had a little talk with
Connor before we all loaded up for the ride home.  Steve asked Connor, "Are
you sure you want to ride back with Aaron and TJ?  You were a little upset
with Aaron this morning.  I just wanted to make sure that you and Aaron are
ok."

Connor answered, "Yeah, I'm sure dad.  Aaron and I talked about it and we
are good.  I understand that Aaron is older and he needs to hang with kids
his own age.  I like TJ and if they end up being together then I'm good
with it.  I was just a little upset because I missed cuddling with Aaron
when we sleep in the same bed."

Satisfied Steve let it go and we all loaded up in the three vehicles.  It
was actually kind of nice to ride home alone with Steve.  We were able to
talk a little and it was nice just to hold hands as we sped down the
interstate.  Of course Max loved it because he got to ride in side the
truck instead of in the bed.  But then again he loves riding with his head
in the wind as most dogs do.

Before long we were pulling into our driveway.  Once we got everything put
away and everyone used the bathroom we jumped back into our truck to head
out to find this horse ranch south of town.  Connor, Arron, and TJ jumped
in with Steve and I and Sean and Colby rode with Jose and Maria.  Jose had
the directions so we followed them.  It was only a few miles south of town.

We followed Jose down this small paved road for about five miles off the
highway and then turned off and went through a single gate with a single
lane gravel road meandering through a small grove of live oak trees.  It
was actually more of a trail than a road.  As we pulled up to the gate
which was open I noticed a small bill board that read fifty acres fore sale
with a big red "SOLD" sign nailed from one corner to the other.  As we were
driving out I thought how nice it would be to be the person that owned this
land and how nice it would be to live out here among the rolling hills
covered with groups of trees here and there.  As we drove up over a small
hill it opened up into a small valley with several stock pond scattered
through it.  Off in the distance I saw the truck and horse trailer that
David and Eric had left with earlier parked next to a small wooden barn
that was in need of some repairs.  Out beyond the barn I saw Eric and David
on horse back leading several horses back towards the barn.

Jose parked next to the horse trailer and we parked next to them. We all
climbed out and walked towards the small corral attached to the shabby
little barn.  Eric and David were still a couple of hundred yards out
slowing moving several horses towards the corral.

We all walked up to the corral and as soon as we got to the fence, Sean,
Colby and Connor all said, "Hey that's the horse I ride down at the ranch!"
We all looked over at Jose who was smiling from ear to ear.  Jose said, "I
thought you guys might want to help David and Eric today so I had them
bring your horses along.  Your saddles should be in the front of the
trailer if you want to saddle up."

All three boys took off running to the trailer to get there saddles.  Jose
just laughed as he watched them take off running.  Jose looked over at TJ
and said, "TJ go open the gate for David and Eric to let the horses they
have in."  Buy the time our boys had their saddles out of the trail Eric
and David had the horses they were pushing inside the corral and had walked
over towards the fence that we were standing at.  They both said good
morning as they sat on their hoses.  Jose said, "Morning boys.  How many
more horses you have out there?"

David answered, "There are about ten more out there but we needed some more
help to get them.  They seem to be a little skittish and with just the two
of use we were having trouble moving them.  We figured it would be a lot
easier with more help."

Jose smiled and looking back to see our boys had their saddles out and
readied next to the horse trailer and all three were heading towards the
corral with their leads in hand.  Sean, Connor and Colby climbed over the
corral fence and walked over towards their horses.  After attaching the
leads they walked the horses over to the gate where TJ let them out.  After
they had their horses saddled they climbed on and all three rode off with
David and Eric.  TJ stayed behind and started caring for the horses that
David and Eric hand just rounded up.

I noticed that Jose kept looking over at Marie and would smile and he
seamed to be in a very good mood.  As Steve and I stood there with Jose and
Marie I made mention of the fact that I noticed the Sold sign over the for
sale sign as we drove in.

Jose said, "Yeah, now that you mention it I noticed it as well." Smiling
from ear to ear.  Steve took a step back from the fence and took a good
look around as he said, "Who ever bought this property sure got a great
view.  I would love to find a place with a view like this."

Jose looked at Steve saying, "Yes Sir, this would be a great place to put
that youth ranch you and Mike have talked about.  It has everything you
would need minus a house and sleeping quarters for the kids.  It looks like
it has a couple of cleared areas with alfalfa growing along with a few
stock ponds so you have what you would need to keep twenty or so horses.
Course you would need a new barn.  This one is in pretty sorry shape."

Steve looked over at me saying, "Some day Mike we will find a place like
this."

Jose put his arm around Marie before saying, "Mother and I would like to
have a place like this to retire to.  Some place closer to you and the
boys."

Steve and I were both looking around as Jose continued, "I have been
speaking with Mr. Smith about my retirement.  I have worked for Mr. Smith
for almost thirty years and now having you two and our grandsons living up
here in Killeen I figured it was about time to turn over the reins to a new
ranch foreman so mother and I could spend more time with you two and the
boys."

Jose's serious tone grabbed both of our attention and we were both looking
at Jose and Marie.  Marie had a hug grin on her face as Jose continued, "I
spoke with Mr. Smith about your dream of opening a youth ranch up here in
this neck of the woods.  Mr. Smith thought it would be a great idea with
the post here along with the new college campus going in just south of town
there."

Steve and I couldn't stop looking at Jose and Marie, who was still grinning
from ear to ear.  Jose looked over at Marie who whispered, "Just tell them
already."

Jose smiled saying, "After my conversation with Mr. Smith I did a little
research.  Mother and I along with some help from Mr. Smith put in an offer
to buy this property.  We found out about a week ago that our offer was
accepted by the seller and we are in the process of buying this property."

Steve and I looked at each other with our mouths hanging wide open.
Looking back at Jose and Marie Steve said, "That is awesome!  Are you going
to retire up here then?  Maybe build a new house for the two of you.?

Jose was now smiling from ear to ear.  He continued, "Well I would call it
more of a semi retirement.  What we would like to do is help you and Mike
make your dream of a youth ranch come true.  I have talked with Mr. Smith
and he is willing to help with the start up cost but would like you two to
design your youth ranch the way you would like it.  He and his partners are
prepared to help with the operating cost until the ranch become self
supporting.  So are you two ready to make your dream come true?"

Steve let go of my hand that he had grabbed as Jose spoke so he could give
Jose a hug.  I pulled Marie into a hug and glanced over at TJ who was
grinning from ear to ear.  I guess he and Eric and David were in on Jose's
huge secret this whole time.
