in this story that's cool as long as everyone remembers there's nothing in

"Benjamin and Me"

Chapter 7

Sunday morning arrived with Thomas up early fixing pancakes, bacon, coffee,
and fresh orange juice for everyone as the other guys woke up and made
their way into the large country style kitchen.  Benjamin was sitting at
the table drawing on a large pad.  The three musketeers Glen, Larry, and
Robin arrived wearing either boxer shorts or PJ bottoms as they poured
themselves coffee.  By the looks of their flushed faces it appeared group
sex had been part of their morning gymnastics.

Robin asked Benjamin what he was drawing.  "I'm trying to come up with some
ideas for the pool we're going to put in".  Benjamin used his new found
ability to move and use material objects at every opportunity, he was like
a kid with a new toy.  The guys gathered around him to see what ideas he
had come up with.  "Wow!  Benjamin you have a real talent for design, those
are wonderful drawings".  Benjamin smiled from ear to ear at Glen's praise.

Thomas walked over and kissed Ben on the top of his head as he leaned over
to check out Benjamin's sketches.  "Benjamin I had no idea you were so
artistic, those are really amazing".  "Well I did design this house if you
remember Thomas".  "No, I don't recall you ever mentioning that you had
designed the house, I just assumed you had an architect design it, with you
and Pierce offering suggestions".  Laughing Benjamin said, "Yes in 1832 we
just drove our BMW down to the many architectural design companies in town,
and oh yes, there weren't any BMW's and we would have been on horseback,
and come to think of it there weren't' any local architects nor was there a
town to ride into".

Thomas gave Benjamin a slap across the back of the head as he said, "Okay
smartass, a simple, there weren't any architects at the time would have
sufficed".  The other guys laughed at the two lover's playful badgering.

Brad and Gavin came downstairs and joined the others, "what's going on
guys?"  Larry said, "we're admiring Benjamin's designs for the pool".
"POOL"?  Bill came bouncing down the stairs two and three steps at a time,
"are we really going to have a swimming pool?"  His dad said, "looks that
way kiddo and slow down you had a nasty fall at school yesterday so try
taking it easy will you."  "I'm find dad, is it going to be an indoor pool
so we can use it year around?"  All the guys looked at each other as Thomas
said, "we hadn't even thought of that Bill, but we do need to take that
into consideration".

With a big grin on his face Benjamin said, "now this is really getting
interesting, one building coming up".  With another kiss on the top of
Benjamin's head Thomas walked away saying, "have at it Benny boy"......
"DON'T CALL ME THAT, YOU KNOW I HATE IT".  "Yup, that I do".  Laughing,
everyone sat at the table to enjoy breakfast.

"Gavin, nice to see you here this morning with Brad, have you considered
making it a permanent situation?".  Brad agreed wholeheartedly, "I've been
trying to get him to move in with me, help me out here guys".  Blushing
Gavin admitted that the thought had crossed his mind, but wasn't sure if
there was enough room and if the rest of you would want me here.  All
together everyone said, "we want you here Gavin".  Laughing Gavin said,
"You guys are all crazy and I think I'll take you up on that offer before
you change your minds".  Brad nearly pulled Gavin out of his chair when he
reached over and kissed him.  "Wow, Gavin I'm so excited, this is the best
thing to ever happen to me".  "I think I'm the lucky one here Brad, my

Bill who had been quiet spoke up with, "it must be love".  Smiling Glen
said, "and just what would my twelve-year old son know about love?"  "What

comment and a lot of moisture gathering in his eyes Glen got up and walked
around to where Bill was sitting and kneeling beside him laid his head in

Benjamin looked up smiling and handed his sketch pad to Brad asking what he
thought of his drawing of a building to enclose the swimming pool?
"Jumpinjahozafats that looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright fantasmo Benjamin
it`s beautiful."  Thomas came over and picked up Benjamin's design and
studied it for the longest time before commenting, "Benjamin, it's a done
deal, I love it".  "The way you added it to the house making it appear as
if it was part of the original structure is wonderful".  "The whole design
reminds me of something you might see in France with a beautiful courtyard
in the center.  What will the two wings that connect the house to the pool
building be used for?"  Benjamin explained that with the growing number of
residents he thought four additional bedroom suites might be a good idea.

Hugging Benjamin from behind Thomas said, "that's my ghost always thinking
ahead with a kind and giving heart".  Bill had gotten up and was looking
over Thomas's shoulder at the design with an excited smile on his young
handsome face.

"Benjamin can you design a fountain for the courtyard, that would be
something special for all of us living here to enjoy, and with the
courtyard completely closed in like you have it, it could be a clothing
optional area for us to nude sunbath in".

"Yo!  Bill, this is dad speaking here, what's this clothing optional thingy
you're speaking of?"  "Dad, I'm going to be thirteen by the time this is

and is well aware of the fact that we're all gay".  "GAVIN, you're a pastor
you're supposed to be on my side here".  "Glen we're all on your side, and

experience without overly protecting him from the reality of life".  "I
also know if you're dead set against anyone laying outside in the courtyard

Thomas stepped up to Glen and put his arm around his shoulders.  "What
Gavin said is true Glen we'll use bathing suits, it's not a big deal,
please don't get upset over something that you have complete control over".

Glen sat down with his head in his hands as Bill came over and wrapped his
arms around him, "dad I'm sorry, I didn't realize what I said would upset
you, do you forgive me?"  "Of course I forgive you Bill, if you'll forgive

that in front of my son?"  Bill was laughing so hard soda was coming out

Larry jumped into the conversation with, "think back Glen, when did you

May twenty- eighth, and the pool was finished the day after Bill's
thirteenth birthday. School was out and the guys were having a BBQ to
celebrate Bill's birthday and the completion of the pool.  It was the first

in if it was possible and surprise the boys.  They managed to get in when

underwater as the boys turned and were racing back towards them.  Glen

saying, "Dave I guess we have a lot of catching up to do, I'm sorry I
haven't been a better dad, I hope you'll forgive me".  "You've been a good
dad, I just wish we could have been closer, I'm sorry mom died giving birth
to me, I know that must have been hard for you and I understand why you've
been distant".  "Actually Dave you don't understand why I haven't been
close, I've never blamed you for anything, I've always been proud of you
for being the wonderful son that you are, I thought you blamed me for not
being able to save your mother".  With that Darin got up and pulled his son
into his arms, "I love you so much David, we should have had this talk
years ago and it's my fault not yours, you have been the reason for me to
continue living".

Thomas opened the door and yelled, "steaks are ready, everybody needs to
grab a plate and get started".  Glen noticed Darin couldn't help looking at
