Here's: "DATING AND THE SINGLE LIFE" the first
installment titled: CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

October, 2003.  Kyle (21, 5'10 dark brown eyes, black
hair, fit body) and David (22, 6'2, blue eyes, brown
hair, fit body) are hanging out in Kyle's apartment
watching tv.  The two are good friends, they met about
four years ago on the internet, they talked online for
about 6 months before deciding to meet, they had an
easy time meeting because neither one was looking for
a relationship or anything so they were strictly
meeting as friends.  At first the two weren't sure if
they would get a long because they both seemed a lot
different from each other.
     David was very out going, spontaneous, he liked
living in the moment, he's big on partying, he
sometimes tends to come off as cocky, but he's really
just confident, he loves the idea of relationships,
but he had just gotten out of a bad one so he wasn't
interested in getting into another one for a while.
But after knowing Kyle for four years and the two have
become so close, David has developed feelings for Kyle
and wants to get into a relationship with him, but has
been unsuccessful in getting Kyle. He has greater
success in his business life he is working as an owner
of music store.
     Kyle comes off as a quiet guy, but once you get
to know him he ends up being one of the funniest guys
and is fun to have around, he's not as spontaneous he
likes being sure of what he's doing or where he's
going before he does anything, he's not a big partier,
he'd rather just hang out with a few friends then go
out partying, he's probably one of the sweetest guys
one would meet, he would go out of his way to make
someone happy.  His reason for not going into a
relationship is because he doesn't think that the
relationships people always hope for exists. He was in
a relationship once and doesn't intend to get into one
again. Kyle is still going to college, working
part-time as a salesperson at a toy store.
     The two of them hang out with their four other
friends, Marcus, Tyler, Jake, and Randal.
     Marcus is twenty-five, gay, 6'3, ash-blonde hair,
brown eyes, rock hard body, he's the ultimate eye
candy, one would think he's conceded because of his
good lucks, but people are suprised to see what a
gentle, caring guy he really is.  He's the care-taker
of the group, always making sure no one is left out of
anything. He's the one that all the guys look up to,
he will never do anything wrong, whenever one of the
guys has a problem, Marcus is the one they all turn
to. It amazes the guys that he's such a nice guy
considering his day job consists of him being very
rough, he's a lawyer.  He's a very successful lawyer
who is now a partner at the law firm he works at.
     Tyler, gay, twenty-three, 5'9, slim, black hair,
green eyes, runner's body, he's a bit more rough then
the other guys, but it's only because he grew up never
having parents, he always went from one foster home to
another until he was eighteen when he went out on his
own.  He's had it the roughest of all the guys, he
went from being a buss boy to a stripper, was able to
get enough money so he was able to get himself night
classes at an adult school so he could get an
education. He then went and is now currently the
manager at one of a resteraunts in Los Angeles. The
resteraunt is actually where all the guys met.
     Jake, gay, twenty, 5'10, blonde, swimmer's body,
the youngest of the group.  Jake was raised in great
constrast to Tyler.  Jake was born into a wealthy
family, grew up with all the luxuries in life, however
he feels that he missed out on a lot in life by being
brought up by high-class parents.  Instead of playing
with friends when he was little, he was taking manners
classes, he went to a private school, he got a Jaguar
for his sixteenth birthday.  Jake decided he didn't
want to rely on his parents his whole life so he went
out on his own and got a job on his own working at a
clothing shop, instead of becoming a partner at the
accounting firm that his dad owns.  He is currently
going to college and hoping to become an architect.
     Randal, gay, twenty-one, 6', brown hair, green
eyes, toned body.  Randal is very sexual, he loves
sex, but hates love.  Him and Kyle share a bond in the
fact that they both don't like relationships, but
unlike Kyle, Randal chooses to just hook-up with a lot
of guys.  Randal works as a bar-tender at a gay club.
His good looks has gotten him great tips and lives in
a nice apartment over looking the beach.  The guys
ussually hang out at Randal's house because of the
good view of the ocean...and the guys.

     So Kyle and David are hanging out in Kyle's
apartment watching tv.

"This movie sucks." David said changing the channel on
the tv.

"I have some dvd's on my shelf if you want to watch
one of those instead." Kyle suggested pointint to a
bookshelf next to the tv.

David got up and looked at the movies, while Kyle went
and put on a sweatshirt, since he was starting to get
cold.

"You have; 'The first season of Alias', 'Godfather',
'Aliens', 'Austin Powers', 'American Pie', 'Saving
Private Ryan', or 'X-Men'.  Which one do you want to
watch?" David asked.

"Any of them is fine, you can choose." Kyle said
sitting back down on the bed.

"Want to watch an episode or two of Alias?" David
asked

"That's fine." Kyle answered

David put in the DVD and sat back down on the bed next
to Kyle.

"Oh, hey this weekend there is a party at my friend's
house.  You want to come with me?" David asked

"Um, yea sure that sounds cool." Kyle replied, even
though he really didn't want to go.

"I know you don't like partying, but it'll be fun.
The other guys will be there too. If your not having a
good time you and me will go do something else cool?"
David asked

"No, it's cool, the party sounds fun." Kyle replied

"Besides, I want to see you get drunk again." David
said laughing

"Shut up David." Kyle replied embarrassed, but
couldn't help but laugh. "I don't know what got into
me that night."

"About eight shots of vodka and eight beers is what
got into you that night." David said laughing

"Yea, I know, and who was it that kept filling up my
shot glass?" Kyle asked accusingly

"You didn't have to drink it." David replied
innocently

"When you kept saying, 'Come on Kyle, just one more.
Don't be a pussy.', I really didn't have much of a
choice." Kyle shot back

"You must not handle peer presure well then huh?"
David asked laughing

"I hate you." Kyle replied smiling, punching David in
the arm.

"No you don't, you love me." David responded, tackling
Kyle, causing both of them to fall to the ground.

"Get off me, before I kick your ass." Kyle yelled
trying to push David off of him.

"Tell me, you love me." David said grabbing Kyle's
wrists.

"No, I still hate you." Kyle shot back laughing.

"Ha, you can't get me off of you." David said
teasingly.

"Only because your so heavy." Kyle joked, still trying
to get David off of him.

"It's also muscle." David said with pride.

"Oh God, don't get too full of yourself." Kyle replied
rolling his eyes. "Now, get off me."

"Only if you say 'David, I love you'." David said
smiling.

"Fine.  David, I love you." Kyle said

David looked down at Kyle and smiled.  David truly
thought the world of Kyle, and loves him a lot, he's
his best friend.

"All right." David said as he got off.

Kyle got up and then tackled David to the ground.

"Psyche." Kyle shouted pinnig David to the ground.
"Now say, 'Kyle, your the best'."

David being the eternal flirt didn't put up a fight,
but rather enjoyed having Kyle on top of him.

"Kyle, your the best." David said winking.

"Oh crap, don't get all horny on me now." Kyle said
getting off.

"Please, like you've never thought of me in that way."
David said

"No, I haven't." Kyle replied candidly

Kyle laid down on the bed, David got up on the best
and put his arms around Kyle.

"Even when I cuddle you like this." David said
jokingly

"You hold me like this every time we're alone
together.  This is hardly anything new." Kyle retorted

"What about, when I whisper in your ear." David said
softly in Kyle's ear.

"David, are you seriously horny or somthing?" Kyle
asked

"Maybe." David replied

"Fine, hold on." Kyle said softly, getting up and
leaving the room.

David laid back in the bed and put his arms behind his
head smiling.  Kyle walked back in and tossed David a
bottle of lotion.

"Here, if your horny, go play with yourself." Kyle
said, he then tossed David a towel "Don't foget to
clean yourself up when your done."

"Screw you." David said throwing the towel back at
Kyle.

"You deserve it." Kyle said laughing "Trying to get
sex out of me."

"Come on, you never thought about me in a sexual way a
little bit?" David asked

"Nope." Kyle replied bluntly

"A good looking guy like me?" David asked

"See, that may be one of the reasons." Kyle replied
teasingly "Your so full of yourself."

"I'm very self-assured." David corrected.

"Very cocky." Kyle shot back.

"Very confident." David said enjoying the banter.

"Point is, you'll never get me to sleep with you."
Kyle said smiling triumphantly

"Ouch." David replied, his ego shot down slightly.

"But I still love you." Kyle said giving David a quick
kiss on the lips. "Come on, let's finish watching
'Alias'."

Kyle and David rested, David put his arms around Kyle.
Kyle responded by leaning his head back against
David's chest.

"Do you ever think about dating again?" David asked
cuddling Kyle a little bit

"You know my views on dating and relationship." Kyle
replied

"I know, but don't you ever wonder if your missing out
on something with that attitude?" David asked

"Not really." Kyle answered simply

"But you could end up loosing out on somthing great."
David retorted

"You can't loose what you never had." Kyle said

"Yea, I guess your right." David said quietly. He held
Kyle, wanting desperately to confess his love to him,
but he knows it wouldn't make a difference, Kyle will
never change his views on relationships.

"Why do you ask?" Kyle asked curious

"No reason." David replied "Why don't you like
relationships?"

"I just think that people waste their time trying to
find that perfect relationship that they can only see
in the movies or on TV.  But in reality, those
relationships don't exist, in reality a relationship
is always full of mis-trust, jealousy, fighting, why
put up with all that?"

"If your with the right person it wouldn't happen."
David replied

"Yea, but what are the chances a person will find that
one person they're supossed to be with?" Kyle shot
back "I figure, the only two things that make
relationships different from friendships is that, one;
you screw them, only them, and two; all the trust
issues.  I figure, if I want sex with out the fighting
then I'll just go screw a friend of mine.  It's
easier, and your friend isn't going to get mad at you
if you find someone else hot."

"Relationships have love." David retorted

"I love my friends." Kyle replied

"It's a love that's better than the type of love you
have for a friend, it's a feeling where you can't
imagine life with out them." David said

"I can't imagine life with out my friends." Kyle
replied "Like you for instance, your my best friend, I
can't imagine life with you."

David smiled "I can't imagine life with out you
either." he said straight from the heart.

"See, and we're just friends." Kyle said

"Yea," David said quietly "We're just friends."

Kyle could see there was something wrong with David.

"Are you all right?" Kyle asked concerned

"I'm fine." David replied quickly trying to hide his
emotions.

"No your not.  I can tell." Kyle said "Talk to me."

"It's nothing." David said, Kyle looked at him, not
believing a word he's saying, "I'm just worried about
you is all.  I think you might be missing out with an
attitude like that."

"Thank you for the concern." Kyle said genuinely "But
I'm fine."

Kyle laid back down with David.  David however, was
beginning to feel very uncomfortable.

"You know, I gotta get going.  I have to get to the
store early tomorrow." David lied getting up from the
bed.

"But it's only 8:30." Kyle replied

"I know, sorry, but I'll see you tomorrow at
Randal's." David said heading towards the door.

Kyle got up and stopped David at the door.

"Wait." Kyle said grabbing David gently by the arm.
"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yea, I'm fine." David replied quickly

"All right, I know you're not, but I don't want to
push you on this." Kyle said "But, you know you can
always come talk to me if you have a problem."

"I know.  Thanks." David said giving Kyle a hug.

"I love you." Kyle said

"Love you too." David answered giving Kyle a kiss.
"I'll see you tomorrow."

"All right.  Night." Kyle replied

"Good night." David answered walking out the door.

Kyle closed the door and leaned against it, he knows
something's bugging David, he just can't figure out
what.

     Later that night at Marcus' house, David went
over to talk Marcus.  Marcus being the papa bear of
the group to everyone was more than willing to listen
to David's problem.

"You know how much I like Kyle right?" David asked

"Are you kidding? All of us know how much you like
Kyle." Marcus replied smiling.

"It's just frustrating.  I send all the hints, but he
doesn't pick up on them." David complained

"That's because you two are best friends.  He thinks
the flirtatious acts you do with him are just because
of how close you two are." Marcus explained

"I'm close with you and Kyle doesn't see me going over
and kissing you and cuddling you." David said

"Yea, but are you as close with me as you are with
Kyle? No.  You've known Kyle a lot longer than you've
known me and the other guys." Marcus said

"But still, I mean you'd think Kyle would figure it
out." David replied

"It also might be that Kyle doesn't want to see what's
right in front of him." Marcus said

"What do you mean?" David asked

"Think about it." Marcus started explaining. "Kyle
doesn't like the idea of relationships.  Maybe he's
trying not to see your feeling towards him because he
doesn't want a relationship."

I guess." David replied thinking, "What got him to
hate relationships so much?"

"I don't know.  I asked him once, but he didn't want
to talk about it." Marcus said

"Did something happen to him to get him turned off to
relationships?" David asked

"Maybe, he hasn't said anything to me about it."
Marcus "I'd think if anyone would know it would be
you, considering how close you two are."

"He's never said anything to me." David replied

"Do you want my advice?" Marcus asked

"Yea." David replied

"I think you should just try and move on from Kyle.
He doesn't want a relationship, so don't torture
yourself by hanging on to him because chances are you
won't get what you want." Marcus said gently "I'm
sorry, I know you don't want to hear that."

"No, don't be sorry.  You're probably right.  I know I
should just forget about it, but how do you move on
from someone you are so in love with?" David asked

"I wish I had an answer for you." Marcus replied

David looked at his watch. "I should get going." he
said getting up. "Thanks for listening."

"Anytime." Marcus said giving him a hug, "You going to
be at Randal's tomorrow right?"

"Yea." David replied

"All right, well I'll talk to you tomorrow." Marcus
said

"Okay. Bye." David said leaving

"Bye." Marcus replied closing the front door behind
David.

     Meanwhile, Kyle was in his apartment on the phone
with Tyler.

"What are we going to do over at Randal's tomorrow?"
Kyle asked

"I think we're just going to meet there, have a drink
and then go the club with him when he has to work."
Tyler replied

"Okay.  Cool." Kyle said "Oh, hey is everything all
right with David?"

"What do you mean?" Tyler asked

"We were hanging out tonight and he was his usual
cocky self, but then he got all quiet and then he
left." Kyle replied

"What were you two talking about?" Tyler asked

"Um.." Kyle began trying to recall the conversation he
had with David, "Oh yea, David was getting all horny
or somthing and wanted to have sex, I said 'no' as
usual, and then he was talking to me about
relationships and things and then he just left."

"Oh." Tyler replied knowing full well what David was
trying to do.

"What?" Kyle asked "Do you know something?"

"No." Tyler lied quickly, "I don't know.  You'll just
have to talk to him."

"I tried, but he didn't want to talk." Kyle answered

"Wish, I could help you out." Tyler said

"It's cool." Kyle replied "Oh hey, didn't you  have a
date tonight with some guy you met at the resteraunt
you work at?"

"Yea, I did." Tyler said un-enthusiastically

"I'm guessing it didn't go so good." Kyle said

"Let's just say that I've had more interesting
conversations with a brick wall." Tyler answered

"That bad?" Kyle asked

"Yea, he does interior designing for a living, so all
night he was looking around the resteraunt talking
about different colors of paint would go well with the
table clothes." Tyler replied

"Sorry man." Kyle said laughing

"It's cool." Tyler replied

"That's why I hate dating and relationships." Kyle
began "You always get high expectations, but they're
never what you hoped for."

"Yea, but it's better than being alone for the rest of
your life." Tyler replied

"I don't know." Kyle said

"You and David would make a good couple." Tyler hinted

"Me and David?" Kyle asked shocked "No, I don't think
so.  Him and I are just best friends."

"You sure about that?" Tyler asked

"Yes." Kyle answered

"I don't know, you two are basically a couple anyway,
you're always cuddling and hanging out together."
Tyler said

"It's just because we're close to one another, that's
all." Kyle replied

"Whatever you say." Tyler said, he then heard a knock
on his door. "Oh hey Kyle I gotta go.  I think Jake's
here, he's crashing here tonight."

"Tell him hi." Kyle replied

"I will. Later." Tyler said

"Bye." Kyle said hanging up.

Tyler went and opened the door up to Jake.

"Hey." Jake said coming in "Thanks for letting me stay
here tonight."

"No problem." Tyler replied

"My damn roommate, I sware, this is the third time
this week I've had to stay out of the dorm for the
night because of his girlfriend." Jake said

"You should just move out." Tyler replied

"I can't exactly afford it.  And I won't let my dad
help me out financially." Jake said

"Well, feel free to crash here whenever you want."
Tyler replied

"Thanks." Jake said

"I just got off the phone with Kyle, he says 'hi'."
Tyler said going into the kitchen to get a couple
beers.

"How's he doing?" Jake asked

"He's good.  I guess David was over at him place
tonight." Tyler said handing Jake a beer.

"Did David ask him out?" Jake asked curious

"No, but from the sound of it, I think he was trying
to." Tyler replied

"What do you mean?" Jake asked

"Kyle was saying that David at first was trying to
have sex with him and then he was asking Kyle
questions about relationships and stuff." Tyler
answered

"So Kyle still hasn't figured out that David's in love
with him?" Jake asked

"I guess not." Tyler replied

"It's so obvious." Jake said "I mean David is always
cuddling with Kyle, kissing him."

"I know, but Kyle thinks it's just because the two of
them are best friends." Tyler said

"Please, Kyle doesn't see any of us kissing and
cuddling each other." Jake replied

"I think it's mainly that Kyle doesn't want to admit
to himself that David likes him." Tyler said

"Maybe." Jake answered "Poor David.  He's been trying
to get with Kyle for such a long time."

"I know." Tyler replied "Not much we can do about it
though."

"Yea, true." Jake said "We should maybe try setting
David up with someone."

Tyler smiled "That's actually a really good idea."

"It can help him move on from Kyle." Jake said

"And it will save us from having to hear him talking
about how much he loves Kyle." Tyler added

"Do you know anyone we can set him up with?" Jake
asked

"Let me think." Tyler replied thinking of someone good
for David...

****THE NEXT DAY****

     David, Marcus, Jake, Tyler and Randal were in
Randal's apartment having a beer and talking...

"Where's Kyle?" David asked

"He said he would be about ten minutes late, he
re-stock some toys at the store before he comes over."
Randal replied

"Hey David, Tyler and I were talking and we were
wondering how you felt about being set up on a blind
date?" Jake asked

"A blind date?" David asked unsure

"Yea, we think that it might be good for you." Tyler
added "Help you get over Kyle."

"Dating someone isn't just going to get me over Kyle."
David responded

"The sooner you start dating and start seeing new
people the faster you'll get over him." Jake said

"We don't like seeing you get hurt trying to get Kyle
when you know that Kyle doesn't want anyone." Marcus
said

"Listen to them David." Randal chimed in "I think
they're right."

"I don't know." David began but before he could
continue to say anything else Kyle walked in.

"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late." Kyle said still wearing
his uniform shirt for work that featured a big teddy
bear with the words "Toy World" in bold letters.

"It's cool." Randal said handing Kyle a beer.

"Thanks." Kyle replied taking a sip then setting it
down, he then took out a red shirt from the backpack
he was carrying, "Let me just change shirts real
quick."

David watched as Kyle took off his shirt, David was
starring at Kyle's cut abs and definition in his arms,
and watched as Kyle put on a nice red button up shirt.
 Tyler noticed David paying close attention to Kyle
changing and slapped David in the leg.

"Let's not be too obvious." Tyler whispered into
David's ear.

"Right." David said and quickly looked away taking a
sip of his beer.

"How was work?" Randal asked

"Tiring." Kyle replied, he then walked over to where
David was sitting and sat down next to him resting a
leg on top of David's lap. "Hey you."

"Hey." David said giving Kyle a quick kiss. David
looked up and saw Tyler, Jake, Marcus and Randal
rolling their eyes.

"How long have you guys been here?" Kyle asked

"About ten minutes is all." Marcus replied

"What time do you have to get to the club?" Jake asked
looking over at Randal.

"Half hour." Randal replied

"So David.  What do you say about going on that blind
date?" Tyler asked

David gave Tyler a glare, David didn't want Kyle to
know about the blind date.

"Your thinking of going on a blind date?" Kyle asked

"No, not really." David replied

"Why not?" Kyle asked curious

David wasn't quite sure how to respond.

"I just didn't think now's a good time." David
answered

"Why?  What's going on in your life now that would
make dating a bad thing?" Kyle asked  "You should do
it."

"Yea see Kyle thinks so." Tyler said

"Well if Kyle thinks so then I guess I should." David
said through gritted teeth.

"Awesome, I'll set it up." Tyler said giving David a
big smile.

"This will be good for you." Kyle said giving David a
hug

"Yea, maybe you're right." David replied quietly

"Come on guys.  I should started heading over to the
club." Randal said

"How's the new dj the club hired?" Marcus asked

"Oh, he's good." Randal said devilishly

"You didn't." Jake said

"I did." Randal replied

"You did?" Kyle asked

"Oh, I did." Randal answered

"Survey says?" Tyler asked

"He's a 8.5." Randal replied

"What kept him from being a ten?" David asked

"About one and a half inches." Randal replied

"He was eight and a half inches?" Kyle asked

"Yea, but it would have been better if he was a ten
incher." Randal said smiling

"Would you even be able to handle ten inches?" Tyler
joked

"Please, I've handled twelve." Randal replied

"You've been with a guy who was a twelve?" Jake asked

"No, I mean I've been with twelve guys who were all
ten inches." Randal said "At the same time."

"Too much information." Kyle said pushing Randal out
the door.

   When the guys got to the club Randal went to work
behind the bar serving up drinks, David went with him
and sat at the bar having a drink.  Kyle, Marcus,
Tyler and Jake went out on the dance floor and started
dancing.  Kyle noticed that David was just sitting at
the bar so he went to go get him.

"Hey." Kyle said grabbing David's arm "Let's dance."

David smiled, took one last sip of his drink "All
right."

David and Kyle went back out on the dance floor and
got really close to each other and started dancing.
David put a hand on Kyle's waste and looked deep in
Kyle's eyes.

"I'm glad you decided to go on that date." Kyle said
smiling

"Really?" David asked

"Yea, you've been ready to date for a while now
haven't you?" Kyle asked

"In some ways yea." David responded

"I could sort of tell, you've seemed a little lonely
lately." Kyle said

David just smiled not sure what to say.

"Maybe you'll find mr. right." Kyle said

"I think I already did." David said quietly

"What?" Kyle asked "Sorry, with the music I can't hear
so well in here."

"I said I'm going to go get a drink, why don't you go
dance with Marcus for a little bit." David said

"Do you want me to go with you?" Kyle asked

"No, that's okay." David answered leaving Kyle on the
dance floor.

David went to the bar and called over Randal.

"Get me vodka on the rocks." David said

Randal got David the drink and gave it to David.
Looking on the dance floor David saw Kyle dancing with
Marcus laughing, having a good time.  David want's
Kyle so much.  Not wanting to deal with the pain David
downed the vodka.

"Get me another one." David said handing Randal his
glass

"You drank that fast." Randal said filling David's
drink back up.

"This one's going to go down even faster." David said
downing the vodka again and then handed his glass back
to Randal.

"You sure you want another one?" Randal asked

"Positive." David replied

"All right." Randal said filling the glass back up.

Back on the dance floor Kyle, Marcus, Tyler and Jake
were all having a good time.  David drank another
glass of vodka and called over Randal for another.

"I think you've had enough." Randal warned

"I'm fine." David said groggily

"Don't let this whole dating thing get to you." Randal
replied "If you really don't want to go date someone
else right now then don't."

"I wasn't thinking about that." David answered "I'm
fine, just fill me up will ya?"

"This is your last one." Randal said filling David's
glass up one last time.

David took the glass and sipped it as he looked back
out on the dance floor watching Kyle having a good
time.  David quickly finished his drink then headed
out of the club.

****ONE HOURS LATER****

    Kyle, Marcus, Jake, and Tyler went to the bar to
talk to Randal and David.  Kyle quickly noticed that
David was no where around the bar.

"Where's David?" Kyle asked Randal

"I don't know. I didn't even see him leave." Randal
replied

"I'm going to try and call him." Kyle said "I'm going
to go outside so I can hear better."

  Kyle went outside and called David's cell.

"Hello." Kyle heared David's mumbled voice say

"David where are you." Kyle asked

"Turn around." David replied

Kyle turned around and saw David clumsily walk over to
him carrying a bottle of vodka.

"I just had to go get a drink." David said smiling

Kyle sighed and rolled his eyes "I'm going to take you
home.  Wait here."

Kyle walked back inside and walked up to the guys.

"Hey, David's smashed.  He went to buy a bottle of
vodka and the bottle's half gone already.  I'm going
to walk back to Randal's, and then drive him home."
Kyle said

"You want us to come with you?" Jake asked

"No, it's cool.  I'll talk to you guys tomorrow." Kyle
replied as he left

Kyle walked back outside the door and found David
sitting down on the sidewalk drinking his vodka.

"Come on David." Kyle said grabbing David's arm and
pulling him up.

"Where we going?" David asked leaning on Kyle.

"I'm taking you home." Kyle replied

"I don't want to walk all the way home." David whined

"You're not walking all the way home." Kyle corrected
him "We're going to walk back to Randal's because my
car is parked there and then I'll drive you home."

"All right." David said letting his legs go limp on
the ground, "I love you."

"David, stand up straight and walk." Kyle said
frustrated

"You're mad at me." David said sighing

"I'm not mad at you." Kyle said "But why did you get
yourself drunk?"

"I'm not drunk." David replied

"Just keep walking." Kyle said trying to support David
leaning on his shoulders.

They finally reached Randal's place and Kyle walked
David to his car.

"Get in." Kyle said opening up the door for David.

David got in and leaned the seat back.

"This feels good." David said as Kyle closed the
passenger side door.  Kyle then got in the driver's
seat and headed over to David's apartment.

After about twenty minutes of driving Kyle finally got
to David's apartment.  Kyle walked David into his
bedroom and lied him down on the bed.

"You're so good to me." David said smiling at Kyle

"David, why did you get so drunk tonight?" Kyle asked

"I'm not-" David began to say but Kyle interrupted

"Yes, you are." Kyle said sternly "You upset about
something?"

"Yes." David replied with out hesitation

"What is it?" Kyle asked "Is this about the blind date
Jake and Tyler are setting you up on?"

"No, well yes.  I don't want to because I'm in love
with someone." David said

"You are?" Kyle asked smiling "Why didn't you ever
tell me?  Who is it?"

David didn't say anything he just leaned in and gave
Kyle a kiss.  Kyle at first accepted the kiss thinking
it was no big deal, but then he felt David wrap his
arms around him and felt David's tongue slide into his
mouth.

"Whoa." Kyle said breaking the kiss "What are you
doing?"

"Don't you get it!" David shouted drunkly

"What?" Kyle asked

"I'm in love with you." David said suddenly getting
very quiet.

Kyle didn't say anything.  He just looked at David
with confussion.  David didn't seem regretful at all
for saying it, he layed back down on the bed and
rested his eyes.

"Yup, I love you." David said "I've been wanting to
tell you for so long now."

Those were David's last words before he fell asleep.
Kyle sat there next to him in shock.  He couldn't
believe what David just said to him.  A part of him
wanted to leave because of how uncomfortable he
suddenly felt, but at the same time he didn't want to
leave David alone in the condition he's in.  Kyle got
up and went into the living room area of the apartment
and laid down on the couch thinking over the whole
thing.  Not sure what to think he called up Marcus.

"Hello?" Marcus asked answering the phone.

"You guys still at the club?" Kyle asked

"No, we just left." Marcus replied

"Can you come over to David's apartment?" Kyle asked

"Why?  Something wrong?" Marcus asked

"No, I just really want to talk to you now and I don't
want to leave David here alone." Kyle replied

"I'll be right over." Marcus said

A half-hour later Marcus showed up.

"What's going on?" Marcus asked sitting down on the
couch with Kyle.

"I'm going to tell you somthing, but you have to keep
this a secret, you can't tell anyone." Kyle said

"What is it?" Marcus asked

"I just found out David loves me." Kyle replied

"I know." Marcus said

"No, not as a friend sort of way, but he really loves
me." Kyle said

"I know." Marcus replied

"You know?" Kyle asked

"We all know." Marcus answered

"Did David tell you guys?" Kyle asked

"He didn't have to, it was so obvious." Marcus replied

"How?" Kyle asked

"Think about it, how close you guys are." Marcus said

"It's because we're best friends." Kyle replied

"He's always cuddling with you." Marcus pointed out

"Because we're good friends." Kyle said

"He's always wants to be around you." Marcus said

"Because we're good friends." Kyle retorted

"He's always kissing you." Marcus said

"Because we're-" Kyle began but Marcus interrupted

"Good friends?" Marcus asked "Think about it Kyle."

Kyle sat there for a minute and thought of all the
things him and David do together.

"Oh my God.  I'm such an idiot." Kyle replied "Why
didn't I see it before?"

"Because you didn't want to." Marcus said

"What do you mean?" Kyle asked

"You don't like relationships, you don't want a
relationship.  So you probably just shut out the idea
of David having feelings for you so you wouldn't have
to deal with it." Marcus replied

Kyle understood what Marcus was saying completely.

"What am I going to do?" Kyle said resting his head on
Marcus' shoulder, "I don't want to hurt him."

"You just have to be honest with him." Marcus said

"Then what?" Kyle asked "Him and I won't be as close
of friends anymore."

"You don't know that." Marcus said "Maybe David just
needs to hear it from you so that he can finally get
closure.  Then hopefully he can move on and you two
will still be okay."

Kyle sat there with Marcus, dreading the talk he's
going to have to have with David....

Well, I thought I'd try my luck at a new series, I
looked at my past series and didn't like the first
chapters of them, so hopefully this was as well
executed as I was hoping it would be and you all will
like it.  This story will not revolve around two
central character like I did in my previous stories,
this will be about a group of friends, the first few
will most likely feature the characters of Kyle and
David, but will soon move on to get to know the other
