Subject: Mason and Jack Chapter 6

The following story is fiction based on some fact and my wishes for things
that "could/might have been" if the world worked like my hopeful mind. It
will eventually include sexual relations between young men. Some characters
and events are based on fact but the names, places and circumstances have
been changed for obvious reasons. If you're not old enough to be reading
this for WHATEVER reason, please leave now. If you are plenty old enough,
please continue on and let me know what you think of my first ever
submission to the Nifty Archives.

Mason and Jack
Chapter 6

The end of the school year was coming and we were all excited. I would be
starting my senior year in the fall and Jack and Sandy would be starting
their Freshman year.

Jack had settled in well with his father and Stephanie and things were
going great. He hadn't had any other episodes relating to his mother and
his heart seemed to be on the mend. We had gone out together several times,
dinners, movies, etc. As far as our physical relationship, we hadn't moved
past heavy making out and heavy petting. Trying to take it slow was my
goal, because he was still young. I didn't want to pressure him into
anything and I wanted our first time to be special. Very special. I was
still a virgin and planned to stay that way until Jack and I were ready.

Summer came and went with Jack doing preseason sports camps and helping
around his new home and me working full time. The first day of school came
and I had spent the night at Jack's house the night before. We had decided
we weren't going to hide our relationship any longer. We were going to
arrive at school together and act like any other couple in the school.

Being in a small school had its advantages because I was very close with
the principle and the superintendant and had spoken with them a few weeks
before school started. Jack and I, along with my mother and Jack's father
went to the school and had a sit down meeting with them both and a couple
of the teachers I was closest to.

Everything seemed to be ok. We had the support of the staff and knew that
our best interests would be the primary goal of everyone involved. Jack and
I sat through the meeting on a couch, holding each others hand. My English
teacher for the last three years pulled us from the office at the end of
the meeting and to her classroom. I noticed the rainbow sticker that was
stuck to the top frame of her door. I stopped just outside the door, smiled
and said "Thank you." She turned, looked where I was looking and smiled
also.

"It's the least I can do. I have a brother that's gay and he had a very
difficult time growing up. I knew, but he didn't tell me until after he had
moved away to college and met the love of his life. They've been together
for almost 20 years now."

I reached for Jack's hand and pulled him to me. "Forever." Was all I said
as I looked into his eyes.

He blushed lightly and said "Forever and ever," and reached his hand up to
my face and rubbed his thumb across my cheek.

"Awwww." Ms Steinman said. I was then the one to blush. Jack and I had
totally had a moment in front of one of the most important people we'd have
on our side at school this year. "Don't you DARE be embarrassed." She said
with a smile on her face and her hands clenched to her chest. "That was
beautiful. You two remind me of my brother and his husband." She then
turned on her heel and entered the classroom. "Sit down you too."

We did as asked and started talking about our relationship. How we met. How
Jack denied it for so long. The reaction his mother had. The amazing
support we had from Jack's father and stepmother, and my mother. It was
good to be able to speak with someone so openly and candidly about our
relationship that wasn't related. We were in that classroom talking,
laughing and crying for a couple of hours. Jack and I finally left and went
to the next town over for dinner. We were both very proud to have a support
network at school and we could be ourselves, within reason of course.

So we woke the first day of school in Jack's bed with him in my arms. He
rolled over and gave me a light good morning kiss, saying "Morning Love."

"Good morning to you too, Baby. Are we ready for this?"

He pulled back, looked into my eyes for a few seconds and shook his head in
the affirmative. "With you by my side, I'm ready for damn near anything."

I smiled and bent my head down to kiss him again. "Let's get going then.
You shower first and I'll whip up something for breakfast."

He got out of the bed and padded to the bathroom. I lay there for a second
to relish the warmth of the space of the bed he had just occupied. "This
lifetime is going to be amazing." I said to myself as I inhaled his scent
one more time and then got out of the bed to make my way to the kitchen.
