 Fishin' in the dark
 Chapter 4
 (c) 2000 by Kiddo

I sat up and looked out the window. It wasn't very dark, but it wasn't ver
light outside either. I looked at my watch and thought about one of my
favorite things to do fish. What the hell? " Joe, come on get up!" I shoued
at him. " Why?" he asked " Because we're going fishing.". "Next time you plan
on me going fishing tell, ok?" He said. " I will, but come on."

It's beautiful out here. It's funny how it's just as beautiful at night as it
is in the morning. During the day the tell pines saw in the backgorund, while
the oak's leaves blow along in the wind, but in the night, all you can see of
the pines is their dark outline agains the light colors of the leave's of the
oaks. I love it out here.

Me and Joe walked down the to the bank of the creek, and sat down on the
oak's roots. I threw my pole in first this time. Joe was putting some bread
on his hook. I looked over at Joe who was having touble getting the bread to
stay, it kept falling off. I was so entertained by Joe I hardly noticed the
tugging on my pole. " I think I got one!" I shouted, yanking the pole out of
the water only to find what I had caught closely resembled some of the pet
fish I use to have. Joe just laughed. I caught a 3 inch fish. I couldn't get
mad at him. It was funny.

I threw the fish back in, as it wasn't worth eating. Joe was still laughing
when he felt a tug on his pole and reeled in a seven incher, not much but
enough to hasve as a midnight snack. I built the fire while Joe gutted the
fish with my pocket knife. I tried to build it as close to the creek and oak
tree as possible. Joe tried to give me the bigger half of the fish, but I
wouldn't eat it.

After I put out the fire I decided to turn the tables a little. " Joe wanna
go swimming?" I asked with the same grin he asked me with last time. " Sure!"
Joe said rather expectingly. I wasted no time getting my shorts off. The
quiker I got mine of the quiker I could watch Joe get his off.

Joe was walking down towards the bank when I gave him a little shove to
hurry him up. He landed just off the bank in the creek. He landed on his feet
with his back facing me (what a site!). Joe walked in very slowly either
because he was trying to treat me, or the water was cold (which I doubt it
is). " Is the water cold, Joe?" I asked expecting the answer to be what I
thought. " No, it's nice and warm." Joe said rather smoothly. I followed
behind I got right up behind him when he turned around, grabbed my shoulder,
and slinged me into the water. I got up and seemed not to mind, but the
second he wasn't paying attention, I went up behind him and pinched his butt.
I know it's not as good of a pay back as I could have got, but I enjoyed it.

Joe followed my lead when I decided to pull down the rope that was on one of
the thicker oak branches. I grabbed on and ran backwards accidently stepping
on Joe's toe, then I ran jumped releasing the rope half way over the creek. I
leaned back (a little to far) and busted my back on the way down. "Good one,
Anthony!" Joe said sarcasticly. " I know you can't get over how good mine is,
but you are going to have to find something to think about besides my penis!"
I said hoping that would stop the sarcasm. It did!

Joe went next following the same things I did except he didn't step on his
or my feet. He released and went in perfectly. We continued doing this for
about an hour. Just swinging and letting go. A few times we went together.
One of us always ended up feeling enormous pain afterwards, but it was fun.
Overall the pain was worth it. I only scraped one toe on the rock on the way
up the bamk, that was the worst injury.

I got out of the water first. It was freezing once we got out of the water.
I reached for the towel that we brought this time (we were prepared). I dried
off first while Joe was still in the water. I put my shirt on and handed the
towel to Joe as he was getting out. He dried quikly and got dressed.

This time we brought a blanket to lay on. We set it up under the oak's
branches so we could watch the leaves blow as that once every so often su,,er
breeze came through. I sat up and Joe leaned on me. He looked up a few times
our lips met offering love to it's counter parts. Joe finally found his
resting possition on my left shoulder.

I lifted Joe's head and he later just lifted it entirely so I could lay on
the grass. Joe soon followed with whole left side of his body on top of me. I
started running my fingers through his brown hair. We stayed like that for
about an hour. " Joe we should get going." I said hating to break the news. "
I know.".

I grabbed the blanket in my right arm while Joe grabbed the towel in his
left. We walked back up the trail that the cows had marked for us. Together
we walked hand in hand. " Joe," I whispered. " Yeah?" whispered Joe. " I
think everything's gonna be alright."
