Review of Chapter 3 Joy and Sorrow

Borak looked surprised at my control but then demonstrated that he could do
the same by making a sword. It was a majestic Elvin sword worthy of any
skilled dwarf. I watched in awe and he gilded the handle and added gems of
green. He crafted a scabbard for it and gilded that with gold as well. I
tried to call up gold as well but couldn't do it. When I looked closer I
could see the symbols swirling around as he worked were different then the
ones I had used before and stored them in my mind for studying later. When
he finished the sword he presented it to me. Although shocked I took it
with a bow and vowed to return the favor some day.

I knew that not every magic worker could do what Borak had just done. The
combination of spells and the concentration it took to fold the metal
correctly was astounding. As I practiced with the sword I marveled at the
precision and balance it had. No human, elf, or dwarf could have crafted
this saber. These Orcs had a gift but because

of the constant war they were in they never saw it.

That night Borak and I talked for a long time. We learned a lot about each
other and much of the background we had come from. He never talked about
why he was banished but I understood that he would tell me when he was
ready.

Chapter 4 Life Goes On

The night air blew cold as the moon came into view. Above the trees the
stars shown brightly down, winking, as if they were privy to some secret.
The pleasant night sounds floated around, making the night

surreal. A small fire burned brightly, casting a circle of light through
the darkened woods.

Life was turning out for the better. Not only had I made a handsome sum of
money from the skins we had brought to Talcorath, I also had a friend to
share the good times with.

Borak was in the middle of a story about his childhood friends and I pulled
my attention back, so as not to be rude.

"...running across the fields, pretending that we were the pillaging Orcs
of old. Ah, those were fun times. It was before we were of age. See, the
Goklak, the elder Orcs, decided that Orclings should begin their training
in the Manna Continuum at the age of six. On the night of

their sixth birthday, blood from a small cut on the penis was taken for the
creation of their talisman."

"Talisman?" I asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Yes. A small golden disk with a hollow stone in the middle was usually
what they looked like. The blood was poured into the stone and

it would change color based on what magic they would be better at. Red for
fire magic, dark blue for water, misty for wind, and brown for earth was
the most common. Even though someone had a red one they could still use
other magic. The rare ones were the green, black, and white. All three
meant that the barer was talented with all the nature ones. Black was for
demon summoning mainly. Green indicated someone that was talented at
charming weapons and controlling nature, while white indicated someone who
was good at healing and creating talisman and potions."

While he was going on with his descriptions I pulled out the disk I had
taken from our attacker.

"Where did you get that?" Borak asked in surprise.

"I took it from that thing that attacked us. It looks just like what you
were talking about, except for the color is gone. It used to be green." I
said as I handed it to him.

Borak took it and closed his eyes for a moment. "It was a Korlorc! The
man who attacked us was a Korlorc!"

"Korlorc?"

"Yes. They are half human and half Orcish, like your father."

I almost fainted. "Could he have been?"

"Been what?"

"My father? Could I have just killed my father?" Although I didn't like
him for what he had done to my mother and me, I still didn't like the idea
of having killed him.

"Hold on." Borak again closed his eyes and I held my breath. "No, he
wasn't your father. He was only 20 years old."

"Good"

Borak handed me the talisman. "Now you can have one as well."

"Say what?"

"You can use this old talisman and add your blood to it. You may be older
than six, but it still works. It not only tells you what your good at, it
helps forge the connection to the continuum." Borak said, as he fished
through his bag and pulled out the dagger he had made earlier.

The idea both scared me and excited me. Borak would have to be touching my
penis while he was awake. I didn't understand why this excited me but I
knew that I wanted him to do that.

"Ok, what do you want me to do?"

"Just lie back, I'll do the work." Borak said, gently pushing on my
shoulder. I let him push me backwards and held my breath as he slowly
undressed me.

I could hear his heart beat quicken and could smell his arousal at this but
the most obvious sign was the passion I could see smoldering behind his
eyes. As he pulled off my pants and shirt the cold air caused my skin to
pimple and my nipples to become hard. I sucked in a breath as he pulled my
undergarments slowly down my legs and off my feet.

I heard him mumbling under his breath and realized that he was chanting as
he held the dagger against my chest. He slowly slid it down my skin,
leaving a blazing trail of heat and cold. My penis instantly became erect
and pushed away from my belly. As the tip of the dagger navigated through
the hair around my penis, wave after wave of pleasure brought me to the
brink of explosion.

I lay there thrashing as Borak's chant got louder and louder, blocking out
the sound from the fire and then from everything else. I closed my eyes
and focused on the chant, willing myself to hear and understand.

It wasn't Orcish that he was chanting. It was some other language. It
spoke to my soul without me concentrating on what it said. I could feel it
searching my existence for the traces of magic that defined me. As I
wondered about this I was brought reality back with a snap.

Borak was no longer chanting. The spell was done and the pleasure racked
my body, causing me to lose control. As I exploded, Borak brought the
dagger down and made a small cut along the shaft, right under the head. As
I dribbled my last shot he pulled my penis toward my stomach so the head
was pointing toward me. As a small drip of blood gathered on the tip, he
placed the talisman under it.

I watched, enthralled, as the blood gathered and finally dropped into the
stone. Borak quickly brought it up to my face and we watched together as
the stone closed around the blood.

A soft glow surrounded the disk, but it was the center that reacted the
most. At first nothing happened, then, slowly, the blood began to swirl
with white. It kept this up until there was no red left. Then the glow
around the disk faded and was left with a white stone.

"I don't believe it." Borak said in awe.

"What?" I didn't understand what was so significant.

Borak reached into his shirt and pulled out his. I looked at it and saw a
stone as black as the night around us.

"We are matched." Borak said that as if it explained everything.

"Huh?"

"The continuum has matched us. If the caster of the spell turns out to be
the opposite of the new one, they are destined to be together forever.
They have some destiny that can only be fulfilled together." Borak was
excited now and I caught on to his excitement.

"Wait. You're saying that the 'gods' of the Orcs have a destiny for both
of us?" I asked, incredulous.

"Yes. It doesn't happen very often, and usually it happens between females
and males!" Borak suddenly looked uncomfortable.

I looked into Borak's eyes and slowly said, "So we are destined to be
lovers."

I didn't ask it as a question. I simply stated what was obvious to me. I
could see him relax a little.

"We will have to take this slowly Borak. You have to understand, I have
never even had a steady friend." I was almost pleading with him.

"Tucan wait. You don't understand. Here this will be easier." I felt the
barrier that he had put between our minds drop and years of his memories
poured through our link. Memories of two guys that were also destined to
be together whom also had wives and only studied together.

"I was only implying that we were not destined to be pulled apart any time
soon." I could hear what he was saying, but without the barrier I could
also hear what he was thinking.

"Borak." I paused. "Borak I need to share something with you." I pulled
him closer to me and kissed him as I shared with him our first

coupling. I showed him how we had kissed when I pulled his mind into

mine. Then I showed him how I had enjoyed it. I also shared how it

confused me and how scared I was.

When I stopped concentrating on getting the information across the link, I
opened my eyes to see Borak crying. He looked at me and pulled me in for
another kiss. I had never kissed while conscious before and reveled in the
feeling of it.

Borak's mouth was soft, and smooth. We explored each other's mouths and I
followed his teeth around his mouth, feeling every part that I could reach.
His saliva tasted pleasant, though the green color tried to convince me
otherwise. We slowly broke the kiss and Borak lifted me over to the
makeshift bed.

Borak had the advantage in that I was already naked. I rolled us over so I
was on top and began removing his shirt. His hands roamed across my body,
touching spots that sent shivers through my form.

When I finished removing his shirt I ran my hands across his chest, getting
a good look at it for the first time. It looked much like mine except was
a darker green. His skin was smooth and slick. Not oily but, like his
mouth, almost slimy.

I slid down and slowly lowered his pants. His penis bounded free, almost
slapping me in the face. It was dripping a green liquid onto his stomach.
I slid the pants the rest of the way off, taking his shoes and all. Then I
hunched over and slid like a snake up his body, pausing only for a moment
to admire his penis. When I got to his face I kissed him again then quickly
rolled us over again so he was on top.

"I'm new to this Borak. Lead me"

That was all he needed to launch into action. His hands began roaming
again and I took his lead to do the same. His body ground into mine as I
slid my hands down his back and over his butt. Everywhere my hands went
was smooth, well developed muscle. Not a hair on his body except for his
head, armpits and crotch.

Borak suddenly rolled, switching our places again. He looked up at me and
said, "I have already had the pleasure of taking you. Please,

take me, all of me, I'm yours."

To say I was surprised would be an understatement but as he pulled his legs
up to expose his hole, I became very aroused. I looked down and found
that, like everything else on Borak's body, his hole was slimy, but more so
then other parts.

I placed my penis head on his hole and watched his hole twitch. I looked
up into his eyes and saw desire as he nodded for me to continue. I slowly
leaned forward, putting pressure on my penis and his hole. The feeling was
indescribable. My penis pushed through the muscle ring and was greeted by
warmth so great I almost exploded.

Coming somewhat back to reality I felt Borak's pain from the other end of
the link. I channeled my pleasure through to help him and just sat there
waiting for his pain to subside.

When I could no longer feel his pain I pushed farther in. It wasn't long
until I meet some resistance. I glanced up from our joining with a
question in my eyes.

"It's normal." Borak said through clenched teeth.

I tried pushing some more but felt a sharp jab of pain and stopped.

I could still feel the build up of pleasure and began thinking of

something else to help hold me together.

Borak moaned as the steady pressure finally pushed through the second ring
of muscle. My penis plunged home and I found myself floundering in the
pleasure, even though I was sharing over half of it with Borak.

I felt something sliding down my chest and stomach and looked down to find
Borak grinning at me with his penis pointed at me with green liquid
dripping down his penis and my chest. I leaned forward, pushing my penis
in further, and slimed up his chest while giving him a kiss.

"Enough!" Borak said pulling his face from mine. "Fuck me Tucan. Fuck
me."

It was as if someone had lit a fire under me. I exploded with motion as I
pulled back and plunged in again. This wasn't something that needed to be
taught. I understood what to do. The pleasure became way too much and
before I could give more to Borak we both exploded in a fury of jerks and
twitches and a low growl from Borak.

I lay basking in the aftermath and suddenly became aware of the cold
again. I rolled off Borak and then right back over him. I leaned down and
kissed him as I directed warm water across our bodies, washing away all the
evidence.

Borak shivered and joined me in getting ready to enter the bed. We both
slid under the skins and I pressed my body against him.

Words seemed inadequate, so I kissed him again and laid my head on his
chest. He looped his arm around me and we both fell asleep.

*************************************************************

The next morning I awoke before the birds had even begun to sing of the
sunrise.
I had to sort out the experiences of the last week, so I again meditated
and plunged into my sub-conscious. I had done this sorting of my memories
so many times that it had become almost automatic for my brain and I had to
just go in to check on the progress.

I first checked on the translating of the magic symbols. As far as my
sub-conscious could find the symbols actually stood for spells as a
whole. The reason that there were so many symbols for the level one spell
was because of the control needed to make nature do something it wasn't
meant to do.

Like for the level one fire spell the symbols changed depending on what you
were doing with it. If the spell was forming a ball, the symbols were
different than if you were allowing it to burn naturally. If it was being
kindled out of thin air, the symbols were different than if it was being
kindled to burn on wood or other fuel.

The symbols were actually tiny portals made into the manna continuum that
connected through the caster. The symbols were more like

"filters", letting out only the magic that would do what that symbol stood
for.

This more basic understanding of magic would help me in the long run but
right now it was too much for me to understand. I decided to let my

mind keep working and look at everything else.

In the memories area the mind was perfect, doing it just like I wanted it
to. When I was just about to leave though, I noticed a networking line
arching away toward a small portal that had never been there before. I
followed it and upon passing through, saw my mind was networking with
everything that Borak was sharing with me.

His mind set up was much different than mine. His knowledge and memories
were put in order of when they were learned or when they

happened. This formed a kind a ribbon that wound around the brain much

like the ribbons twirled around the erotic dancers of Talcorath. The

networking lines were forming balls then searching the ribbon for anything
that Borak would share that would help me.

I returned through the portal and realized that it wasn't something my mind
had made into his. It was something WE had made.

I returned to the physical plane to find Borak still asleep. I lay there,
contented to listen to the nature noises, when the falcon arched down from
a tree and landed on the blankets. The noise woke Borak who looked from
the bird to me, then shrugged.

"Well let's see what he saw." He reached out and took my hand.

Holding out my other hand I pulled Borak with me as the bird jumped onto my
hand. The sound of rushing wind instantly filled my ears as our
perspective changed to that of the falcon when it had flown over Talcorath.
The feeling was incredible. For about thirty minutes Borak and I just
enjoyed the feeling of flying. Then, going quickly, we scanned the whole
days activities, looking for some sign that Talcorath would try to save
Korison.

Other then the counsel, whose head had been so rude to me, it seemed like
the city was just going about it's normal business, but the counsel was
holed up in it's building for the better part of the day.

"Should we wait another day?" I asked Borak as we shared the view of
flying back to the camp.

"I doubt they will do anything. If you wish to do something for your
friends in Korison we might have to go to another city." Borak said.

We watched as the bird swooped down and landed on my arm, then I pulled us
back out. The falcon looked pleased of himself and I told him to go catch
himself some food. Borak and I got up and while I prepared breakfast Borak
looked through our bags for the map we had bought in Talcorath.

Over roasted rabbit and some dried deer meat, Borak ant I looked for a city
that would be close enough to Korison to help.

"Talcorath and Torksi were in different directions. Torksi was the bigger
of the two but we cannot count on the other messengers having made it. The
only other city that looks big enough is Leavostra and it is quite a ways
away." I commented.

"Hmmm."

I watched as Borak mulled over something. He began sharing things over the
link and I was amazed at his plan. He knew a transfiguration spell that he
could cast on other things. With a message tied to his foot, my falcon
could fly to either Leavostra or Torksi or both and be transfigured into a
human to deliver the message. It was possible, mainly because both
Leavostra and Torksi were cities that didn't do much magic. The counsel
would be a group of normal humans and they wouldn't suspect a sealed
message.

We set about getting the message ready then waited for my falcon to return.

"We should go to Leavostra." I said out of the blue.

"Why?"

"Because then we could help with the attack. If they don't decide to help
Korison we will be close enough to help the Torksi invasion." I said

"How can you be so sure Torksi will help?" Borak asked.

"Because they know they would be next." I said as I packed my bags. "It
would be helpful if we had two falcons. Then we could just go straight to
Korison."

As I finished my sentence my falcon swooped down and flapped excitedly in
front of us. Understanding through the link that he wanted us to follow
him, we got up and quickly ran after him. After about five minutes we saw
what had him so excited. A small, female (I could tell but I'm not sure
how), falcon was impaled through the wing about ten feet in a tree. I
jumped and grabbed onto the lowest branch, swinging up into the tree.

Slowly, so as not to frighten her and have her damage herself worse, I
climbed up to where she was. Ever so carefully I broke the branches off
and slid her free. She must have been there for a while because she didn't
even fight as I tucked her into my shirt and made my way down.

I laid her gently on the ground and Borak bent over her casting a small
healing spell. I had told Borak what spell I had used for my falcon and
watched as he cast it after the cure. When he was finished the bird jumped
up on his hand and I could feel the link complete between all of us. After
looking hard I could even see a link between the

two falcons.

Borak was holding both falcons now and was looking intently at the female.
"I shall call you Erinlumbule (woods shadow in Elvish) for you were pulled
from the shadow of death caused by these woods."

I was in awe. I didn't even think of naming the falcon when I had gotten
it but now I knew what it's name would be. Taking the male I said, "And I
shall call you Dunaewcoi (lover of bird life in Elvish) for you saved the
life of our friend here."

Both birds looked pleased, as they took of together and danced in the air.
Borak and I headed back to camp while talking about plans for travel.

"Well Borak, it looks like something wants us to head for Korison. We have
work to do, and as they say, life goes on.
