Subject: The Alpha's Mate (Chapter 1)

			     The Alpha's Mate

Birmingham, England 1620


We have chased the beast in to the woods outside the village, For over
three years it had clamed the lives of our people but no more. It's been 3
years since I last saw the beast take the life of my late wife and my young
son.Finally this monster shall pay for his crimes, It was know all over the
land that this beast was the strongest of its kind and thought it is young
it has surpassed all of its kind.

 Its feared by many and even its own race trembles at its presence.I still
can't sleep at night, the faces of my wife and child being killed by this
beast are still fresh with in my minds eye. As the rain falls down on us we
marched with our axe's and pitch forks, the torches light our way in to the
dark woods.A howl in the night brought me out of my thoughts, the beast is
near and soon it shall meet its end. Soon my family will be avenged, I drew
my sword from its sheath. It has been passed down generation up on
generation from the days where knights fought for the kings.




The humans were near, I could smell there fears in the night air. After
visiting the witch who told me where I would go I wanted this humans to
think they could defeat me. She foretold that many years from now I will
find a mate, a mate who's power was far greater then any of our time.


She would follow the villagers into the woods and tell them how to seal me
away, but not to death only to sleep until the time comes for me to find my
mate. I lead them trough the dark forest up to the mountains where I would
be sealed away.


I had everything ready for my future life, all my wealth and estate would
be hidden to only to my most trusted servant until I return. Now let them
seal me for it is what I want.




As we came near the mountain the beast roared, our people fought him back
some arrows were sent flying to the night air. We managed to fight him back
into a cave, Out of the night an old women came.


"The beast is strong and can not be killed by you, I know of a way to keep
him for harming you all." "Then tell us women, how can we stop this
monster?" I asked, "I will seal him away for all time in this cave where he
will die on his own."


We stood back as the old hag worked her dark magic, the mountain seemed to
roar as rocks began to fall and block the entrance to the cave. The beast
with in roared and howled soon all went quiet and the night came to a slow
silent.


We turned to the women but she was nowhere to be found, We all stood there
looking at what used to be a cave. "So your nights of terror ends monster"
I said with a low voice, we all gathered our selves and went back to the
village.


2 years later...


Here I am in London harbor heading for the new world, I don't know what the
future holds for me but after facing the beast I am ready to take on what
new challenges are ahead of me. We have heard rumors that more of the
monsters have made there way on to the new world.


Myself and others have formed an order to slay this beasts so here we stand
all 15 of us men and our family's heading to the new world. Although I
could never love another as I did my wife I have found a new wife who
supports me on my mission and together we will end this monsters nights of
terror for I am James Lockhart and I slay Werewolves.




Lovell, Wyoming 2008


Darkness was all around me, I walked this path many nights before. Where
this place was or why I'm here were never answered. Again I walked alone
through this dark woods the night air was cold and there was a strange
chill in the air.


A loud howl was heard through the night sky bringing the forest to life,
birds and all the animals were fleeing from the sound. I looked around and
nothing moved or made a sound, a twig broke not far behind me.


I turned to see glowing green eye's that seemed to look into my very
soul. Slowly out of the bushes came a dark figure who stood 6'3 and
rippling with muscle. Its body seemed to be covered entirely of fine black
hair.


Its face was that of a wolf, its hands big and its nails were sharp like
claws. I stood still, my body unable to move. Its eye's held my gaze as it
move forward, My body shook out of fear and shock.


Its large hand came forward as if to grab me.....


"GOOD MORNING LOVELL AND WHAT A MORNING IT IS" The sound came from my radio
clock. ( Dame thing) I picked it up and threw it to the wall, "I knew I
forgot to turn it off" I said to myself.


Me being Jamie Lockhart, I'm 18 and I just graduated from Lovell high
school. I'm 5'6 I weigh about 125 pounds not skinny but toned. I have brown
hair that passes about 5 or 6 inches from my shoulders and I have Forest
Green Eye's.


I have an older brother named Jack and an older sister named Samantha but
we all call her Sam. Jack works with our Dad at the family gun shop and Sam
works for a floral shop across the street. My mom's a stay at home mom, She
cooks, cleans and all that kind of stuff.


Being the youngest of the bunch sucks at times but mostly I get what I
want, My brother and sister loved me and so did my parents. Even when I
came out to them they didn't freak like I though they would.


Mom and Dad just smiled and said "So you finally came out, we wondered when
you would" My jaw dropped to the floor when they said that. Jack just said
"Cool, You know little bro all the girls I dated though you were so
cute. Guess I won't have to worry about you stealing my girls."


My sister was all giddy about it and said "Oh I can so find you a date are
you free tonight" to this I said "Sorry but I'm not ready to date I'm still
14" that made them all laugh there asses off.


My close friends took it well and said they were okay with it, even Scott
my best friend since pre-school was okay with it. I loved them for that,
Aside from all the drama of high school I loved nature and I was an
annoyingly happy and optimistic person.


But I had a secret that I was afraid to tell or for anyone to find out, I
didn't know about it till I turned 16. I was walking through the woods one
day outside of town when I came across a pack of wolves.


They growled and showed the sharp teeth, One was jumped up and was about to
attack me when I raised my hands the wolf seemed to hit something. The
other pack members rushed to attack, again they hit some sort of barrier or
a shield. They sniffed at the unseen wall that blocked there pray from it.


Then I felt a cold breeze of air hit my face and knew that it was gone, I
ran will the wolves were still looking for a way to get to me. I came to
the creek and stood at the very edge again the wolf jumped and then nothing
happened. I looked to see what happened, I was even more shocked.


The water from the creek seemed to reach out and hit the wolf holding it to
a near by tree. The other members of the pack started to advance towards
me, I moved my arm in a swinging motion and the water came and struck
another wolf. The pack seemed to back off on this.


After the wolves left I fell on my knees, wondering what the hell was wrong
with me. Its one thing to see this in a move or on some cartoon on T.V. but
this in real life was freaking me out.


I heard a twig snap so I turned and there stood a man I knew from town, His
name was Kenai. He and his Grandson Koda who was my age came towards me "
Stay away" I said and the barrier came up again.


Kenai touched it and felt it around "Do not worry Jamie we won't hurt you"
He said to me in a calm voice. I started to relax and the barrier came
down, "What's wrong with me? Am I a freak or something?" I asked the old
Native American.


"No not at all, You have been blessed with a great gift Jamie. Do not fear
what the great spirits have given you." he said to me and he pulled me into
him. I cried on his shoulders for an hour.


They took me to there car and drove me to there home, There he told me he
would help me develop my gift and learn to control it. So for the past two
years I have trained with Kenai and with some help from his martial arts
friend Mr. Lee I trained both my body and spirit.


Koda and I even became friends, and he was an amazing friend at 6'0 he was
built like a rock. His arms were big and strong, his 6 pack even made Scott
jealous and he had long black hair that fell past his shoulders.


He like my friends didn't freak when I told him I was gay, He just smile
and said "so what" So here I am in my bed and my dame clock woke me up the
first day of summer. Just great, "Jamie time to get up honey, Koda called
and said he was coming to pick you up" My mom said through my closed door.


(So that's why my alarm when off) "Already up mom, be down in a minute" I
got up and went to take a quick shower. I slipped on a back skin tight shit
with its arms cut off and a pair of black jeans. I slipped on my black Nike
running shoes and was out of my room and down stairs.


"Morning honey, want something to eat?" my mom asked, I was about to answer
here when we heard a car horn. "Guess not mom, that Koda I got to go. See
you tonight...Bye" I said going out the door.


"Well I see you managed to get up on time" Koda said to me, "Hahaha...Very
funny my alarm went off and I threw it to the wall, Forgot we had to
training today." He just gave me one of his smirks and we were off to the
training grounds.



Birmingham, England


In a dark cave at the foot of the mountain the beast woke from the long
century sleep. His green eye's glowed and his muscular body tensed,
Swinging his large leg from the bed he raised up.


"So the time has come to find my mate" He said with a wolfish grin, He
walked to the blocked cave entrance and gathered his strength. Bringing his
hand up and waited, a green light filled his palm slowly forming into a
ball, His strength grew as he throw the ball at the blocked entrance.


Rocks and dust filled the air with a loud boom, the man dressed in nothing
but a brown silk pants. He looked around, nothing much has changed the
forest seemed to tremble at his presence.


His attention focused on movement from near the big tree to his left, "Show
yourself!" He demanded. A man came forward and kneeled, "My lord, I was
sent to make sure you would not be harmed." The young man said.


He sensed that he was one of his kind, "Dose it look like I could be
harmed, What year is it?" He demanded. "2008 my lord, I will escort you to
your estate. Your loyal servant has made preparations for departure."


"That can wait, For now I must find my mate." the beast body began to
ripple, the soft black hair that covered his body disappeared leaving him
smooth. His body was a golden brown color, his black hair was shorter but
his eye's still remained green.


"My lord your servant sent word to us that he has found your mate, and he
is not here." The young man said. His eye's flared green and his hands
formed a tight fist, "Were is she then, were is my mate!" He demanded.


"In America my lord, please we must depart from here. Master Greg is
waiting for you in America." The you man shook out of both fear and awe,
"Then lead the way, the sooner I find my mate the better."



Lovell, Wyoming


We got out of the truck and headed deep into the wood's where I spent many
day training and developing my gifts as Kenai called them. Along the way I
found out that I had two more gifts, One I able to control Air. I
discovered it when I was pissed of at Koda because he was hounding me about
training, So I turned and shouted "Shut up" and a big gust of wind sent him
flying.


The other is that I could blow things up with my hands, like that girl from
the Charmed show. Again it was all Koda's fault, I was sitting down and
waiting for him and his grandfather when out of nowhere he scared the shit
out of me. Short version my hands went up and I blew a branch of a tree,
that scared me even more.


I took a while but I got the hang of this gifts, "Alright what on the menu
today?" I asked Koda, "Hmmm, don't know granddad never told me" was all he
said to me as we walked to the clearing.


Out of nowhere came three large wooden spikes flying straight for us, I
threw up my shield to protect us both and the three spikes bounced off
it. We both looked around, not sure where danger would come from next.


Nothing came, we slowly came to the center of the clearing and looked
around. Then out of the tree line three big creatures made of dirt and
rocks came charging at us. One of them threw the first punched and the both
of us jumped out of the way.


Another grabbed Koda and hurled him to a near by tree, "KODA!!" I yelled
and one of the monsters turned to face me. It large hand came up and just
as it was about to hit me I blew it off, The creature howled in pain and I
blasted its body apart.


The third one came at me, I raised my shield to block its strong blows
(Dame...What am I going to do?) I thought to myself. The creature kept up
its strong blows its strength never leaving it body.


"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Koda yelled, He jumped up into the air and with one
punch the creature's body Shattered. Among the dust and small rocks that
remained Koda was on one knee and his fist in the ground.


"What the hell was that?" I asked looking at him, "Its one of Koda's gifts
Jamie, Just like those creatures were one of mine." Kenai said coming from
behind a large tree. "What do you mean one of his gifts, What's going on
here?" I all but yelled at the old man.


"Jamie calm down, Its still me." Koda said to me, "Jamie came and I tell
you all you need to know." Kenai said to me. Hesitant at first I slowly
followed the man, We came to rest near the stream.


"That day we found you, I was training Koda on his own gifts. That's when I
heard the wolves howl, When we found you I knew you were something
special. Even before that day, you have a great light about you Jamie your
Kind, loving, understanding, and strong willed."


"That's why I chose to train you as well, My family has always been blessed
by the spirits with gifts. We pass the knowledge and wisdom down with each
generation, Like I have with Koda. But never before have I found someone
like you, You have a great Destiny Jamie and soon you will face it."


"But what are Koda's powers?" I asked feeling a bit at ease with them now,
"Koda has the strength of 50 warriors, His sight, hearing and sense of
smell is better then any animal or man. He can heal himself more quickly
then normal humans."


"And your power?" I asked, "I am what you would call a shaman, I have the
gift to bend nature to my will." He said to me. "So all this time you two
had powers and you never told me?" I asked kind off pissed that they would
keep something like this from me.


"We just wanted you to feel comfortable with us, We were going to tell you
when Gramps though you were ready" Koda said to me. I couldn't do anything
or say anything to them, so I got up and walked away. "Jamie Wait!!" I
heard Koda yell, "Let him go, He needs time to figure things out on his
own."


All this time and they never told me, Not even Koda. We've been friends for
two years and he never told me, Although that would explain why he healed
so fast when he fell from the big tree last year and broke his arm.


I walked through the woods not really knowing were I was going or even if I
cared. Then I stopped, I felt something like a shock was moving up my
body. Then my vision seemed to see through time, Everything was all black
and white.


I was still in the same place but them three wolves came out of nowhere and
jumped me, Then as quickly as the feeling came it was gone. I looked around
and felt eye's one me, I brought my shield up and just as I did the three
wolves appeared and jumped at me.


I hit my shield hard and yelped, I formed a small wind ball on my palm and
thrusted it forward hitting one of the wolves and sending him to a bolder
near by. The other two showed there fangs growling at me.


"Bad doggy, Sit" I thrusted my palm down bringing a strong pressure of wind
to push down on the two wolves. I moved my leg and did a swiping move that
sent both wolves up, and did a spin kick that formed an another air
pressure kick that sent them flying.


"If you guy's know what's good for you, you better get out of here." I said
to the wolves and the brought themselves up. And they all ran off with
there tail between there leg's. No sooner then that Koda and Kenai came.


"Jamie are you alright, are you hurt" Koda looked at me worried, "Gramps
heard the wolves and I came as fast as I could" he went on. "I'm fine Koda,
calm down." I said to him he pulled me into his big muscular body and held
me there.


"I'm sorry I wanted to tell you but, I couldn't not until I knew you were
ready to hear it." Koda said sincerely. "You've known me for two years
Koda, You've helped me deal with all this crazy things going on in my
life. Why couldn't you tell me something I would have understand." I said
back to him, my voice low almost a whisper.


"I know you angry with me, but I did it for your own good. Please Jamie say
you forgive me?" He asked almost afraid to lose me. The look in he's eye
told me he was hurt just like me, maybe even more for keeping his secret.


"Alright, I'll give you a second chance but remember no more secrets okay!"
I said with a firm voice, "Thank you!" He yelled and lifted me off my feet
and hugging me tight. "I promise no more secrets. Thank you Jamie." He said
to me.


"Alright enough of this let's get to training, I didn't wake up early for
all this drama." I said to both of them. "Alright let's get down to it
shall we." Kenai said to the both of us. So that's what we did, We trained
all day. Little did I know that my destiny would soon chance not only my
life but the life of everyone I knew and love.
