Previously in Ancient Wolf: Cid was heavily injured to the brink of death
when Kale was held captive by the opposing pack. Jus used his healing
ability and saved Cid in the nick of time....


Chapter Fifteen


I was exhausted after using my ability for the first time. In the
meanwhile, Cid was in his room with Kale, as he tried to explain the
current situation.


"Kale...."


"Are you feeling better?" Kale asked.


"I'm fine, thanks to Jus. I'm sure you have a lot of questions in your
mind. Let me..." Kale interrupted before Cid could complete his sentence.


"Let me make this easier for us. I'll ask the questions I wanna know, and
you try to answer them."


Cid smiled and nodded his head.


"What are you? And Justin?"


"I'm a vampire. Jus is a werewolf. He was bitten only recently by Zac. And
yes, we are all weres."


"Where was that place? What were you guys doing?"


"It's a stadium where tournament is held. We were fighting for Jus."


Kale was about to ask something, but held his tongue. Perhaps he was trying
to phrase his questions properly. Cid took the cue to explain to Kale about
Mayatitus, Omega, mating rights and the tournament.


Kale listened intently to Cid's explanation. Even though he did not show,
Cid could tell Kale was having a hard time swallowing all the facts.


"I'm really sorry you are dragged into this. You won't be if it was not for
me." Cid cracked.


"Hey, I'm not blaming you. I just need time to digest. Why would they hold
me as a hostage? Why did you stand there and took on the assault without
defending yourself?" Kale finally popped the question that he wanted to
know most.


"Because you are important to me. And because I love you..." After Cid said
those words, for the first time in his life, tears ran across his cheek.


Kale leaned forward, hugged Cid tightly, and whispered, "And I love you
too. When you were beaten up badly, my heart ached so much. Like I was
being stabbed a million times at my heart. I wanted to just end my life,
but I was unable to move. I know I sound silly, but I swear I fell in love
with you the moment I saw you. I have never felt so strongly for anyone
else before. It's not a crush, for if I could, I would've used my life to
exchange for a day with you. No one else, but you."  Cid sob softly and
replied, "Me too. But there are implications. I'm a vampire and you're
human. I will definitely go crazy when your time is up. Then again, if I
turn you to what I am, you will have to leave your current life
behind. There's no turning back once you change. I'm in a dilemma. But one
thing I'm very sure of, I never want to lose you. I would rather
die. That's why when I knew you were taken, I chose not to fight."


"Baby, if I can forsake my life for a day with you, what will I give to be
with you for eternity? Bite me, I'll leave my past to be with you." Kale
replied, instantly.


Cid smiled and was delighted for a brief moment, but frowned again and
said, "But Kale, it's not just a bite. I need to inject my semen into
you. That means I'll have to fuck you up in the ass. Are you sure you wanna
do this?"




Kale answered, with a smug. "Anything for you baby. So long as I get to
fuck you everyday after I changed."


Kale was the first to stand up. As he stood in front of Cid, he lifted his

"Good evening, my lords." A suave-looking young man about the age of
mid-twenties bowed as we walked down the stairs.


"State your business quick!" Zac said, curtly.


"My name is Hark, and I came to seek your help." He was looking into my
eyes as he spoke.


"Me? How can I help you?" I questioned.


"I'd seen your display of ability at the tournament.... My mate, Dustin,
was killed fair and square. But I pray you have mercy and return him to
life." Hark said firmly, as he held back his tears.


"GGGGRRRRRR, BE OFF! WE ARE NOT HELPING!", Zac roared.


"Then in that case, please end my life as well. Now!" Hark knelt and
covered his face with his hand, sobbing sorrowfully.




I held Zac by his arm, and shook my head gently. Zac sighed and backed down
as I walked towards Hark.


"Where is Dustin now?" I asked, as I placed my hand on his shoulder. I
would never forget the look on his face. Teary and yet beaming with
joy. How could I deny his request?


"He's in my car. I'll carry him over right away." Hark ran out and
retrieved his mate's body in his arms.


"Carry him to the guest room and put him down on the bed. I'll try." I
said, pointing to a room on the right. At that moment, I had forgotten the
warning mother gave me. Nothing matters anymore, I only seek to save Hark's
mate.


Dustin was in a pitiful state. His head was twisted into an obscene angle
and his eyeballs popped out painfully. I tried to shift his head back to
the normal position, but the neck was broken and his head simply slumped to
the right lifelessly. Gathering my strength, I placed my hand on Dustin's
forehead and closed my eyes. Gradually, I felt energy pulsing from my core,
travelling to my hand. Then I heard the sound of bones rearranging, and
Dustin's forehead began warming to my touch. I knew it must have
worked. But the feeling was different from the time I healed Cid. I could
feel my body burning, and the energy pulsed violently every passing
moment. I guessed it was too late to remember mother's warning.....


"NOOO! Jus...." Zac's piercing scream was the last voice I heard.
