This story is a completely fictious account created from a series of dreams
I had the good fortune of remembering. None of the characters or situations
are intended to represent any real life character or situation. This story
contains homosexual sexual acts and/or inuendo. If you find this idea
offensive, leave now. I have no desire to offend you.

Blue Dragon -- The Orion Transcripts, part 4a

Mikos awoke from a deep sleep hoping for a moment that strange occurences of
the last day were only a dream. His fantasy was quickly shattered when he
looked around himself and saw that he was still lying in a strange bed.

This bed was more than a king size bed. If anything, this bed was made for
an emperor. A mattress that was at least twenty feet in length and width.
Marble posts that appeared to support the gently curving ceiling which
itself had been painted to resemble a star filled night at it's center and a
sunny day with clouds as it reached the walls. Light came from stone torches
evenly spaced every few feet upon the walls but the room seemed to be much
brighter than any light the torches could have provided.

He remembered the experience he had the night before on these silken sheets
with momentary excitement and immediately began to consider his options. The
translucent curtains at the doorway seemed like the best way to start so he
climbed out of the bed and looked out at a mosaic tile deck just outside his
room and the amazing courtyard beyond that. "I must be in some sort of
palace" he thought to himself.

As exciting as it was to get screwed like crazy the night before, Mikos knew
that this was insane. Kids are not supposed to be swept off in strange cars
by thugs, drugged, brought to a palace, get screwed like mad by the most
attractive dudes with weird eyes anyone had ever met, and left in the
emperors bed without anyone around. How exactly was he supposed to explain
this whole thing to his mom? "Someone's gonna be in a whole lotta frikin'
trouble over this", he thought.

Fear gripped him at the thought of the guards that could be waiting, hiding
beyond his view. "Don't put off till tomorrow ..." the old cliche went
through his mind. He stepped out onto the mosaic deck and passed through the
curtain into the garden. An intense light flashed; he immediately stumbled
and fell flat on his face onto the cold rock floor of a damp cave.

"HOLY FUCK!" he screamed as he scrambled to his feet and fell up against the
cave wall opposite from where he had just come. "SHIT!!". "What the fuck?".
Adrenaline raced through his veins. His blood pressure rose as he tried to
adjust to the fact that everything around him just changed. His breathing
accelerated as he prepared for some new threat. "WHAT IN FUCKIN' HELL IS
GOING ON AROUND HERE, IF THIS IS SOME FUCKIN' CRAZY ASS FUCKIN' JOKE
SOMEBODY BETTER START FUCKIN' EXPLAININ'......". Mikos stopped his verbal
onslaught suddenly when he realized what was staring him in the face. He
caught his breath as his mind slowly registered what his eyes were telling
him. His jaw fell slightly open. "Holy shit", he whispered.

On the wall opposite him, where he had just come from, framed in ornate
gold, there was a life-size 3-dimensional image showing a greek architecture
bedroom with 3 boys lying naked in each others arms. The image was so
intensely real that it could have been the work of a renaissance master. It
appeared almost to be a painting but the surface was tinted like a veil;
resembling lightly shaded auto glass. He recognized himself as the boy
sandwiched in the middle of the other two.

Mikos reached out his hand to touch the image and the surface of the
painting rippled like water in a pond when a small pebble has been dropped
into it or a gentle breeze blows across its surface. Mikos quickly retracted
his hand, stared for another moment at the rippling image, then dropped to
his knees sobbing with fear and confusion, his face falling into his hands;
"Am I dead? Is this how it ends?"; tears fell like rain.
=============================
I woke up to a beautiful dawn. Perched on the top of a tree, I had the
perfect view of the perfect world. If I tried hard enough, I could forget
the corruption that has seeped into the Nequii and spend the next few
centuries admiring beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Sing colorful songs with
the less developed creatures of the sky (I have to admit the idea of
reverting to eating bugs and worms was less than appealing). I tried to
chirp out a song but my voice had evolved many centuries ahead of the other
local members of my clan, there was no way they could understand what I was
saying. "How wonderful", I thought, "if we could only return to the ways of
the past and forget this nonsense"

But that is how this has happened isn't it? So many creatures turning a
blind eye to the truth. Failing to take a stand for right and wrong. It is
all to easy to let one little issue drift by and pack it away in a small box
of forgotten memories. But one little issue becomes 2 and then 10, 100,
1000. Before you know it a once perfect society drifts around with lifeless
eyes.

No, now it was time for me to take a stand. To lead. To fight. To make it
known that the Orions would not stand for a creature such as the Whitaker.
Even more then that, the entire Nequii would not stand for such a creature.

Then it hit me with a physical force as if I had been pushed. "There are no
projects at the southern borders!" a voice in my head suddenly yelled out.
"The deep forests are called the deep forests because that's what they are
... deep forests!" the voice continued. There was no reason for the Nequii
to do anything there, these were cherished lands where the less evolved
creatures thrived.

"Whitaker needed me to check on a project on the southern borders" that's
what Maraqq had said.

I didn't know what I was looking for, or where my sudden commitment to stand
up and fight would take me, but I now realized that I desperately needed to
know what was going on at the southern borders.

I took to the air and once again felt the wind in my feathers. The trip
would take hours even at my best speed.

Maraqq was of the Aquin clan. Aquin's had a reputation for being slow movers
on land but as fast as any had ever known if they could get to water. If
someone was doing something slowly It was a common joke to say "just like an
Aquin out of water!".

If Maraqq had failed to find water to travel in through the night, it was
possible that I could get there ahead of him. I flew as fast as I could,
narrowing my eyes to slits against the wind pounding by face. I reached the
southern borders by dusk, exausted but still fierce with purpose.

I'm not sure what alarmed me first. It may have been the Orions as they
screamed past me traveling in the opposite direction through the sky, or it
may have been the putrid smell of smoke that filled the air. Something was
horribly wrong. Soon I would find what I was looking for.
==========================
After Michael regained his composure, he arose once again and turned to walk
up into the cave. There were other scenes on the walls. There were so many
different scenes on the walls he wondered if this was some sort of lost or
stolen treasure.

"Yeah right" he said out loud, "the lost treasure of the frickin' twilight
zone". He walked through the dimly lit cave mumbling to himself, "we control
the horizontal, we control the vertical...."

There were scenes depicting terrible blizzards and others with mountain
streams. He saw one scene that depicted a fight between 2 men with swords in
an arena surrounded by magicians and a jeering audience. There were scenes
depicting great battles in space, and there were scenes depicting a group of
the most beautiful elf like creatures on a planet with 2 suns.

He passed a scene with 2 men dressed in black overcoats throwing a kid into
the back of a van. "Been there, done that" he thought to himself.

The next scene depicted 2 guys in their twenties sitting in front of a
firepit. He found himself drawn to this image. The first guy had his legs
propped up on the legs of the second who was stroking his thighs as they
were apparently lost in a romantic conversation. As he watched, the face of
the first guy became more clear to him. It was his own face. The longer he
gazed into to the scene the more compelling it became. He felt that he could
even feel the other guys hand carressing his legs and brushing against his
groin.

Michael reached out his hand and touched the scene. The surface ripples as
it had done before. He was about to push his arm into the scene when someone
in the cave behind him touched his shoulder.

"AAAHHH" Michael yelped as he jumped back.

"I didn't mean to alarm you" said the stranger.

"Get the fuck away from me" Michael said putting the palms of his hands out
in front of him.

"But I've been looking for you, we don't want you getting lost down here.
Just let me help you" the stranger said. "Well to be more honest, I'd have
to say I was brought here to help look for a friend who is missing. But
there are many who will be relieved to know that I've found you. My name is
Korel-Orion"

"What do you want from me?"

"I only want to help you. I was told that if I found you I needed to make
sure you were safe" Korel told him.

"What is this place?"

"You are Michael, right?

Michael just looked at him with out replying.

"Well Mike, can I call you Mike?, It's like this ... I don't really know,
but I can tell you what I think. I think that this is a dream and frankly
you don't have a thing to worry about. Characters in dreams don't ever get
hurt or anything and you are just a character in my dream. I was in chambers
enjoying a community meeting when I think I fell asleep. OOPS! I went and
talked about it, you know what happens when you start to talk about a dream
don't you? That's when you wake up and spoil the whole thing. Then you spend
the rest of the night trying to get back into the dream. Anyway so there I
was enjoying the meeting when..."

"Slow down! Do you ever stop to breath, Korel?" Michael asked.

"I'm sorry. People say that I talk to much and never really say anything."
Korel went on, "whatever this place is I sure would enjoy it if you were to
accompany me to somewhere safer than this."

Korel looked at Michael with the most endearing look. Tension, anger, fear
were certainly lessened by the casual comforts of this attractive guy.

"I suppose I don't know what else to do. Are you going to fuck me?"

"WHAT?!"

"If you are gonna fuck me, let's just get it over with" Michael said.

"Damn, I do have some weird dreams" Korel replied. "I had relations with
somebody about a hundred years ago. But that didn't turn out to well. I
haven't ever really tried it since. There is one guy I'd like to get closer
to though. He doesn't really think of me in that way. I take care of his
apartment you know. I don't know why you seem so obsessed with physical
contact, a lot of people could be really offended by you even bringing it up
that way. I don't even know you really. Do you like how I look? I think you
are really cute even though you aren't an Orion mind you. Orion is my clan.
Do you have a clan? I don't think I would feel comfortable getting involved
with you, and certainly not down here. Maybe after we know each other better
we could..."

"I get it. It was a dumb thing to say, forget it. I didn't mean to offend
you. I .. I was afraid that you were just taking me somewhere to ... well
... you know" Michael interupted.

Korel stared at him for a moment. His eyes were so beautiful. The look in
those eyes suggested that the thoughts in his head were considerably
different then the senseless prattle that poured out of his mouth. "I just
want to help you, he said. Maybe we could be friends."

Korel and Michael walked thru the caves, passing by the different images.
After passing through several tunnels and rising up through many different
size rock formations, they finally arrived at a pond.

"Well this is the exit Mike. I don't like this part. I'm not really a very
good swimmer, but it's not that far. Just dive in, swim under that rock face
in front of us, and we're out. Follow me."

With that, Korel dives into the pond and disappears into the dark water.

Looking around, Michael realizes that he is suddenly alone again in a dark
cave. He turns and dives into the water behind this odd new friend.
===========================
Blue Dragon -- The Orion Transcripts, part 4b

Michael swam deep into the water, past between large rocks and though a
crevice. Light from the other side of the rock face iluminated the path he
sought. The light reflected off the multi-colored bodies of schools of fish
that called this place home. Bands of blue and orange scattered before him
as he pushed himself to reach the other side. When he rose from the water,
Michael found himself in a land beyond anything he had ever imagined.

He was in a valley surrounded by snow-capped mountains on all sides. In the
distance, eagles flew along jagged cliffs. Light shined everywhere. Life
thrived in all things. He tread the water to catch his breath then made his
way to the shore.

"Let me give you a hand" Korel said.

Michael reached up and let Korel pull him out of the lake. He sat on the
edge and looked about him again wondering where on earth he was. When he
finally stood. He looked at is own reflection in the water with surprise.

"I am dry" he said.

Korel continued, "Just another oddity of this place I suppose. But let's not
worry about a silly thing like that. Now that you are here, let me take you
to see my leader, my king, my god. He will be so happy that you are found"

Michael folowed Korel up a path through a meadow and approaching the trees.
He could see tree houses built so well that they might have grown there on
their own. Ornate staircases built of wood and bound by heavy vines carried
them up into this lofty paradise. As they approached the top Michael
recognized the the blond and red haired kid standing guard at door.

"Am I safe Korel?", he asked quietly.

"Safe? You'll love it here" Korel responded.

The guards only smiled as he passed and entered the room.

"Michael! Thank god we've found you!", and an older gentleman said as he
headed across the room. He appeared to be in his mid-thirties. His skin had
a pale tint to it but he wasn't totally unattractive. Long brownish hair
that flowed below his shoulder blades. He wore a dark robe that seemed to
move when he walked as if it had a life of it's own.

"We were certainly concerned when we lost you in the caves. You must be
beside yourself with confusion, there are so many things that need to be
explained." The man approached Michael and gave him a hug as if he'd known
him forever. "My name is Whitaker" he said.

"I will take care of him from here Korel thank you for bringing him."

With that Whitaker brushed his hand towards the door as if to tell Korel to
get out.

Whitaker took Michael gently, almost lovingly by the arm and explained to
him where he was and what was happening.

"This place is called Evandar", he explained. "It is a place where dreams
collide. You see, most of the things that people consider reality are just
endless dreams. It is safe to say that just about everyone you have ever met
is just a figment of imagination and they live on in their own little world,
each with their own little window. All those windows meet here"

Whitaker went on, "Time has no meaning here. At least not in the
chronological sense that you've come to understand it. The caves below are
just a junction box where all your dreams exist waiting for you to join them
and bring them to life. Yesterday and tomorrow might as well be a thousand
years from now."

"Distance has no meaning. A step into one of the fantasy's here can be a
step across lightyears of space. The only limitations are imagination."

"Most people never come to realize that they exist in a dream; they never
recognize the veil between their world and this place. But, and this is
where you come in, some people do realize it and they are able to move out
of the dream into the caves of Evandar and find this place, leaving their
dream image behind while they move onto other realities. And then finally, a
very select few are much more powerful creatures. Legends refer to them as
dragons and wizards. Timeless creatures that can move between worlds without
needing to come to this place in between. These creatures shape reality to
meet their own needs."

"I have searched for such a creature for many years and have crossed into
many many worlds trying to find one. Now I believe I may have found one
hiding in you. I've brought you here to train you so you can become what you
have always been meant to be."

"Do you understand what I am saying Michael?"

"Sure", Michael replied. "Not that complicated I guess. You think I'm a
dragon (hehe). That's simple enough. You should have just said so when you
and your friends picked me up. You could have said "Michael are you a
dragon?", then I could have explained that you need to have your head
examined (hehe). Well now that we have that settled, I'll just be clicking
my ruby slippers and going home now."

"I believe you are a dreamer of worlds but I haven't finished," Whitaker cut
in, "there is one flaw in the scheme of things though, one curse. If you
enter a dream where you have already been, and relive the same experiences,
most of your memory's of having done it before are erased; they become
distant flashes of recollection. So you see it is possible that you are a
dragon and don't realize it."

Michael thought that Whitaker was a nut case, but if nothing else he was a
dangerous nut case. If he was going to survive this weirdness he decided
he'd better play along. His training began.
==============================
For what seemed like weeks Michael was instructed in mediatation techniques.
He was trained to to use his voice to manipulate the actions of others. He
would concentrate with all his might trying to open a doorway into another
world. Always he thought of going home where he was safe, always he stayed
right where he was, and always there was Whitaker saying "You can do
better. I must know if you are the one I seek."

In the evenings, Korel would visit him. They would talk about the weather
and the beauty of the world around them. Sometimes they would walk down
paths laughing and playing silly games. Other time they would follow the
trails to the base of the mountains miles away or follow the creeks just to
see where they led. Michael learned that Korel was an excellant cook,
although he never really was quite sure what it was that he was eating. He
found that Korel had an endearing quality. Korel made him feel important and
cared for. Michael thought that his attraction to Korel must be obvious by
this point and yet for all of these weeks spent together and all of the long
conversations it sometimes seemed as though he didn't know the first thing
about him.

One day while walking in the trees near a pond, Michael dove on Korel and
they both sailed into the water.

"I'll get you for that" Korel said as the two struggled playfully in the
water.

When finally the two of them had had enough, they made their way back to the
shore and colapsed in the grass. After a minute or two of silence, Michael
got up the nerve to try to get more personal. He rolled over on top of
Korel. The two laid there for a moment with their faces just a few inches.
Then Michael kissed him on the lips.

After Michael slowly drew back from the kiss, Korel whispered "I can't do
this again Michael".

Michael looked at him and became confused. "Do what again?"

"I can't fall in love with you."

"Did something happen to you? Are you afraid? Hurt? You never tell me
anything. How can I help if you never tell me anything?" Michael said as he
started to sound a bit more tempermental than he'd intended.

Korel said nothing.

MIchael rolled of onto the grass and said "K, why don't you ever tell me
anything about yourself?"

"I don't know. I don't remember really. I am much older then you might
think. I just know that I was in love once and that love had horrible
consequences for those that were close to me. I can't get close to you right
now and I don't know why or when I will be able to. Can't we just continue
enjoying each other like we have been?" Korel said.

"Yeah sure let's just keep everything as it is, I get to listen to you talk
about nothing every day until I want to cut my ears off. Fine, yeah, let's
just do that".

Korel stood up and brushed himself off. "I guess it was time we were going"
he said.

"Oh god I'm sorry K, I didn't mean to say that" Michael said.

"I know Mike" Korel said.

They returned silently to the main camp. After saying goodnight and leaving
each other Korel walked until he was out of site. He collapsed by the side
of the path and tears poured from his eyes. For a moment he saw everything
as if a lightening bolt had struck and illuminated a long forgotten memory.
"I can't fall in love with you again" he repeated over and over. "How can
this be happening?". Then he caught his breath and went to his home for the
night. The memory falling back into its slumber.
===============================
Training continued as always. Sometimes the training seemed crude and
useless ... Michael you didn't dress right, your workspace isn't tidy
enough, you aren't concentrating. Michael wanted desperately to find the
exit sign in this place.

One day while Michael was distracted by birds singing outside the window an
aura began to glow around him. The books that he had been studying lifted up
from the floor. An electric charge filled the air and a window appeared in
mid-air in front of him. It was like looking into a giant snow globe
floating in midair; the snow inside stopped you from getting a distinct
image of what was there to be seen. A face appeared inside Michaels strange
snow globe, a bird-man with a beautiful nearly human face and wings that
reflected light so perfectly they shined like a mirror.

"Peter" Michael whispered to himself almost unconsciously.

Whitakers face changed to a much darker and less charismatic appearance. "I
knew it!" He said, snapping Michael back into the moment. "You are the one
I've been searching for, you must be. In all the universe, I've never found
another that could open a gate like that! ENOUGH studying! I must return to
my rooms and think. Guards! Return Michael to his room; he has had enough
unusual experiences for one day and needs to rest.

The blond and redheaded guards took Michael abruptly by each arm and
returned him to his room.

Michael didn't really understand what all the fuss was about. "Damn, for
weeks they try to get me to do some wierd dream thing and then I finally
have a wierd dream thing and I get sent to my room" he thought. "Well I'm
surely am not going to sit around here waiting to find out what the freak is
going to say next, I need to know what is going on around here."

MIchael climbed out his window and used the thick clusters of vines to find
his way down tree until he reached a point where he could catch his breath
for a moment. In the dim light of dusk he was but another shadow in a vast
ocean of shadows. Nobody noticed this particular shadow as it shimmied it's
way up the side of one the largest trees to the windows outside Whitakers
rooms.
============================
I had arrived at the southern border and couldn't believe my eyes. Hundreds
of thousands of acres laid waste. The black smoldering ruin of a once
beautiful forest. Barely recognizable tree limbs reaching out to the sky as
if desperation. I screamed in horror as I flew over the top of them feeling
sick and angry. Putrid carcasses of the dead lying scattered everywhere.
Animals that in an earlier life I may called "friend" had been cooked so
quickly that their charcoal bodies still stood in the positions they had at
the time this fiery end had taken them.

"Running" I thought to myself. "They are all running away from something".

I flew in circles for countless miles hoping to find even the simplest of
living things but the scene was the same everywhere, burnt, smoking,
horrifying beyond comprehension.

As I flew, I noticed the tattered and burnt robes of an inductee, lying next
to the remains of some poor, charred, half eaten creature. I didn't want to
accept what I saw, but deep inside I knew I was too late to help Maraqq.

I landed on the ground near a tree and fell upon its dead trunk as my
strength began to elude me. I was breathing unevenly. Gasping, then holding
it in as if I'd forgotten how to exhale. Then I would choke and cough as the
air escaped me. My head was spinning and I felt like I would pass out unable
to grasp the devestation before my eyes. Then. as I looked about me, I
noticed the glow along the mountain side several miles in front of me. I
thought it was a remnant of the fire that destroyed this place but it caught
more attention from me as it seemed to move and change in intensity. It
seemed to travel along the side of the mountain. The reflection of a giant
imaginary ruby focusing it's red light upon the landscape.

I jumped up into the empty shell of the trees above me so I could get a
better look. Just then I saw it. At first I thought it was one of the
Orion's searching as I was doing, but as its image became clearer I knew
this was something different. It flew in a manner that suggested incredible
strength, majesty, almost beauty. Yet the jagged edges of it's face, its
long neck, its reptilian wings suggested something evil beyond compare. It's
skin glowed as if made of fine ruby red crystal. The tips of it's wings
shined in the sunlight so brightly that they appeared to be made of highly
polished platinum. Its arms were small and seemed disproportionate to the
rest of its body, but, the claws it had on it's hand were unmistakeable.
Curved blades over a foot long. It's head was larger than one of the trains
I had used to travel to the forest and it's wingspan had to be ten time that
of my own.

I didn't know how this creature fit in with the plans of the Whitaker but I
knew I had found my enemy. In my anger I jumped higher into the tree and
screamed by rage at him, as if to challenge this beast to a duel. A fight to
the death. When his eyes fell upon me, I suddenly realized that I was
completely unprepared to defend myself against this thing. He turned and
raced towards me flames fickering about his face.

As if all this wasn't bad enough, at that very moment the ground shook and I
lost my balance and fell out of the tree, tumbling to the ground.

As I got quickly to my feet, I saw a nearly imperceptible blue glow racing
towards me from the opposite direction. As it approached me it grew larger
and larger. Everywhere it passed I saw the forest coming back to life. The
tree beside me that only moments earlier had been charred beyond hope was
once again taking on the look of life. Leaves sprouting, moss and vines
forming.

As it approached I saw the creature within this glowing blue aura. He ran
along the ground witht he most fluid motion of any creature I had ever seen.
He had long flowing black hair, and bronze skin. Flying along side him and
within the bright glow seemed to be an Orion.

Behind me the red demon was nearly upon me.

In front of me this glowing blue angel raced towards me.

In a moment we would all meet in the middle. Time nearly stood still as I
counted the final moments of my life.

I didn't know if any of these creatures thought of me as anything other than
dinner but alone against the red demon I wouldn't last a second so I decided
to take my chances with blue angel. I waved my arms, jumped into it's path,
and screamed at him to warn him of the red menace.

This ends part 4. I hope you will let me know what you think of my story. I
really enjoy writing it when I have the time. I was going to write more at
this point. The very next "chunk" kind of ties the 2 parts of the story
together. When I reread it though, I thought that stopping at this point
gave the story more of a cliffhanger and leave my readers more interested in
what was going to happen next.
