The Boy of Magic

Time had returned cold to the land, the trees were once again losing their
leaves to the ground. The evening closed in and the hooded man draw it to
him like a cloak. The darkness belonged to him, like the earth under his
scandals and the drops of water that blessed it. The crowd watched him
step closer from the stone path beyond there known boundaries. He was a
rare person to see, fear kept them to a distance. From the crowd's formed
cycle, the hunter walked towards the man, he pushed his son before him. A
boy of twelve summers, fire lit up his scared wide eyes from the torch his
father held in one hand. He wanted to run, but his father's remaining hand
held tight to his shoulder.

The man slowed and stopped, still his face could not be seen. He had no
light with him, he knew the old path from the tower well. Somehow the
hunter knew the sorcerer was staring at him and he tried not to look at his
fear. He tapped the boy on the shoulder one last time.
"It will be fine, we are proud," He paused knowing if it was him he would
be terrified. In attempted stronger voice he added, "Go on, visit if you
can..."
"He will not have need of that parcel, I will provide everything he needs"
The sorcerer suddenly spoke, a voice filled with power, authority and
strength. Braver, perhaps acceptance of his fate the boy passed the fur of
clothing and some food back to his father and stepped forward. The hunter
tried to smile at his son, but instead turned away with the parcel and
quickly returned to the crowd. The light faded as he left and the sorcerer
turned and began the walk back to his tower that by day overlooked the
valley and village. The boy followed, slowly at first, but then quicker so
as to not loose sight of the sorcerer.

Minutes later and away from the sounds of the village, the sorcerer stopped
still, the boy just avoided walking into him.
"This will not do, I can not have you knowing the way, at least not yet."
The boy did not have a chance to answer or ask a question or even point out
he could not see if he wanted. The sorcerer's hand touched his forehead
and the night faded into a dream

The light from a window high in the wall eventually awoke the boy as the
sun moved across sky. He found himself in a small stone room, lying on an
old oak bed. The bed felt hard even with two thick blankets and strange to
the boy not use to such luxury but instead the straw covered earth of the
hut that was his home. This was to be his room he assumed, taking note of
the brushes that leaned against the wall by the door. However before he
had taken this in, the first thing he realised was his own clothes, a plain
tunic and bragga had be removed. Naked he searched the room pausing only
for a moment to puzzle why the bolt on the oversized door was on the
outside. Failing to find his clothes he pulled off one of the blankets and
wrapped it around himself. His bare feet chilled by the cold stone of the
room that battled against the promise of warmth from the sun outside. Then
came the moment of truth he would have to seek out the sorcerer, which
filled him with a feeling of dread. The door opened immediately to a
carved stone spiral staircase. He knew which way to go, sorcerers always
lived at the top. Later the boy discovered the tower itself was only four
stories, but carved out from the hill from the valley it appeared to reach
the gods.

The door was only just open and the boy gentle pushed it forward. It made
no sound, but the boy came to realise later that it depended on its mood to
what noise it made, however the sorcerer had heard it.
"Do boys not knock?" A stern voice asked, followed by the sound of a book
shutting suddenly. The boy now scared again, didn't know whether to answer
or not, but time rolled on and he was forced to venture
"Sorry I will..." His voice trailed off to nothing. The room was large
and divided into two areas, a large bed and wardrobe and then the rest of
the room. It was warm because of a fire in one corner and the books that
covered the cold floor and walls. He stepped forward, now he was
completely in the room, and he could see the sorcerer at a desk to one
side. This time there was no hood concealing his face or his tied back
silver hair. It was the first time the boy had ever see a person without
at least a little hair on his face. It was strange that the sorcerer
looked young, but old at the same time. In a suddenly moment he turned and
stood to face the boy, who willed his own legs to back away but they
refused. He was perhaps almost thirty summers, with sharp features, staring
blue eyes.
"Well I have been waiting for you to rise, the day is almost over and you
have much to attend to."
"Eh, Yes, Yes Sir." The boy stammered, clutching the blanket close.
"You will called me master or sire understand." The sorcerer snapped,
"Some may call me Barwin, just so you know my name."
"Master." The boy choose, not caring about what he had to call the
sorcerer only that he wished to leave.
"What be your name, I can't just call you boy." For the first time the
boy looked up, his jet black hair swept back across his face.
"Kay." He stated. The sorcerer stepped forward and the brave Kay quickly
looked down again. The stories of the sorcerer jumped up in his head. He
was to protect the valley, but valley feared him as stories spoke of
terrible things he had done to those who offended him.
"You will look up when you speak with me, I will not have a village idiot
as a servant or perhaps an apprentice one day. It is very simple, you have
nothing to fear from me, believe me boy there are demons and monsters out
there that should concern you more." He reached down a pulled the blanket
away from Kay, exposing him. The boy felt suddenly embarrassed and cupped
his groin. His own nakedness never normally bothered him, he would bathe
in the nearby lake often with friends and his brothers, but ever before had
he been inspected this way before. Silent followed as the sorcerer walked
around him.

The boy needed a good clean, but for a villager he was not bad the sorcerer
decided, he was fit, young as he was completely hairless, perhaps a little
thin.
"You will do the work I set well and in return I will send money to you
father, provide you with food and a bed." He walked over to the bed and
picked some clothes, Kay had not noticed, "And clothing." The sorcerer
dropped the folded clothing at Kay's feet and returned back to his desk.
Quickly Kay bent down and found a dark brown robe and a single piece loin
cloth to go underneath.
"Thank you." Kay ventured, slipping on the loincloth and robe, both of
which felt strange on him. The robe was very warm and fitted perfectly
which was strange, Kay later thought, as the sorcerer knew not his name,
but knew his size.
"They are to be kept clean and must last you for a long time," Kay nodded,
but Barwin was not looking. "If you do not work, become idle or disobey me,
punishment will result, understand?."
"Yes master." Kay replied realising he could soon go.
"I must also attend your education, but we well discuss that later. Go,
your time today is to be spent getting to know your new home and its
surroundings. Do not attempted to return to the village, you will only get
lost and do no enter this room again until I instruct you. The fires may
need stocking so you can do that as well." A wave of his hand meant the
lecture was over, but a new life had begun.

Barwin considered the boy after he had gone. He had visited the village in
the form of a cat a week ago to find an assistant. He hoped when Kay had
stared at him that day, it was magic that guided the boy's thoughts to
understand that there was something not right about the cat. In time he
hoped he could develop this boy's locked away skill and not make mistakes
this time.

Outside the Tower rather than the expected sheer drop, Kay found a good
sized wood and orchard, before the land did slope beyond the ability to
walk. He guessed he was on the otherside of the tower the village could not
see. The tower itself was only four stories, but carved out from the hill
from the valley it appeared to reach the gods. Traps in the wood had
caught a few rabbits and Kay quickly gathered these and reset the traps.
The fires needed more wood and having explored the tower the light was
already fading. It was an odd tower, the size of the rooms did not match
the outside and Kay decided secret passageways must exist. It might have
been fun, but without his friends he was alone. As night came Kay lit the
torches that were dotted around and found his way to the kitchen to prepare
food. The sorcerer was already there preparing a meal which they both ate
in silence until the end.
"I hope you are able to cook some food now you are without the women of
the village as I will not always be free to attend to you."
"Yes, my father taught me, he's a hunter." Kay answered, he tried to be a
bit braver than before and not just give single worded answers, remembering
the Sorcerer's words. Barwin noticed but said nothing about it, instead he
stood and beckoned Kay to follow him. The sorcerer went over to the far
wall, it appeared like all the others, but he pushed it and a door it
opened to darkness. Kay paused at first, then cautiously followed him.
Inside Kay realised he was walking into the hill itself, as he followed the
sorcerer down some carved steps. Reaching the end of the stairs Barwin
began lighting torches and a cave was revealed before Kay.
"This is where you will bathe, and if the well dries up outside as it does
in summer, you may get water from here. You may bathe now if you wish,
cloth has been placed near the stairs. At first Kay could not see where
the sorcerer was pointing, but then he noticed the reflection. It was a
wide pool of water, Kay carefully stepped over to its edge.
"It is warm!" He exclaimed, touching the water which made him jumped.
"Of course, do you not prefer it." Barwin replied in a matter of fact way
from the stairs as he left. No other explanation was given, Kay decided
never to ask. Quickly Kay pulled off his robe over his head and dropped
the loincloth to the ground. With each step the water became deeper,
slowly working its way up the boys beautiful body. There were steps under
the water moulded out of rock, to his bare feet they were completely
smooth. Afterwards Kay decided he never wanted to bathe in the cold lake
again.

The days flowed into each other as Kay built upon his daily tasks and
routine. Barwin would sometimes lock himself away for days at a time, so
it felt as if the tower was his alone. Soon it was the end of the second
week, which the boy awaited enthusiastically as this was the time supplies
would be left at the base of the hill, payment for the sorcerer's service.
Kay mused it was in fear of the sorcerer that tribute was made, rather than
any monster he stopped entering the valley. The boy hoped he would be
allowed to go, perhaps see his family. Instead he was ordered to clean the
stables set in the wood and attend the two horses, while Barwin travelled
down to the village. Disappointed, Kay was angry and set to work with a
mind of words his father would use if he missed the prey. The work was
cold, wet and dirty. Quickly the dirt covered his bare feet and legs, he
did not think to take off his robe to stop it being fouled too, it was too
cold.

Barwin returned to the tower later. He had no business to attend in the
village, except for the parcel of food, things he could not produce on the
hill, like bread and the collection of items he had requested. Moments
late he came back out of the tower and shouted for Kay, his face had
darkened and was obviously displeased. Kay, never having been shouted for
before was suddenly nervous, but dropped the brush and ran to Barwin who
had re-entered the tower.
"Well?" Barwin asked as Kay rushed in. Kay looked around the kitchen,
searching for the source of his master's displeasure. The fire had died,
Kay had forgotten it.
"Sorry I forgot, I didn't mean for it to..." Attempted Kay
"Do you become idle when I am not present to supervise you. You have only
one fire to attend." Kay did not attend the one in the sorcerer's room,
fuel by magic he believed.
"I, I." Kay searched for explanation, but then it got worst.
"And this," Barwin had come forward and taken Kay's robe in his hand, "I
expected you to keep this clean, remove it if your work may dirty it."
"But it was cold." Kay protested
"Silence!" The sorcerer snapped, "I will not have excuses. For idleness a
suitable punishment is needed, stand by the table." The sorcerer left the
room fuming, leaving Kay alone for a moment and alone with the fear of what
the sorcerer might do. A spell on him perhaps, or worst. Barwin returned
with a bottle of strange coloured liquid in one hand and a stick in the
other. He placed the bottle on top of the shelf above the fire and then
stepped over to Kay.
"Bent over the table boy, I will be quick, but you will not able to sit
and be idle for a while after this." Kay had been giving a good whipping
before by his father so he lied himself over the table and expectedly
waited. His robe was pulled up and over to expose the loincloth and his
back. The loincloth was quickly pulled down to the boy's ankles and Kay's
bare ass awaited the first strike. The sorcerer was as he promised and six
hard smacks of the cane quickly landed on the boy. At each one Kay
tightened his grip on the table, but did not cry out even thought the pain
grew with each. Once over Kay wanted to run, he wanted to cry, but did not
want Barwin to see him. He wanted to hate the man, but strangely felt
guilty for disappointing him. However Barwin sensing Kay was making to go
instructed him to wait. Turning he reached for the bottle he had brought
in with him. Uncorking it he rubbed a little of the liquid into his hands
and began to massage Kay's cheeks. Kay did not move, he wasn't sure what
to do, his father never did this to him after a belting. The liquid was
cool against the heat of his behind, it began to relieve the swelling.
Some of the liquid ran down between the boy's cheeks, suddenly the Sorcerer
draw his hand down the centre to clear the overspill, Kay tensed his cheeks
at the unexpectedly of the Sorcerer's hand. The man withdrew and re corked
the bottle.
"That should help," he added, "now attend your duties and make sure you
clean your clothes later." With this he headed back out and up the stone
stairway. Kay did not at once moved, but let his head gently fall onto the
wood table and let tears he had held back fall. Slowly he reached down and
pulled up the loincloth which against his now tender skin, told him he
would not be able to sit for the remainder of the day.

Another day, the lesson learned Kay worked with only the loincloth on that
just covered his groin and recovering behind. Barwin had instructed him to
sweep out the chimney. A hard task for a boy of only twelve and a half,
but he had the whole day and was promised his first lesson in magic that
evening. With a number of different brushes, Kay had found rungs up the
side of the chimney and did his best to dislodge the dust and dirt. By the
time his was finished his soft clear skin had become black and would not
simply brush off his skin. The sorcerer coming down for more water,
started to laugh at him. For the first time since being at the tower, Kay
smiled and did not fear the sorcerer for that moment. But it was over to
quickly.
"Well you better wash it off quickly and return for your lesson." He
snapped, but added in a kinder voice than normal mostly to himself, "I
didn't expect you to go up the chimney, but it saves a job." Kay
disappeared to the cave picking up his robe on the way. He returned clean,
expect a few smudges on his face that Barwin ignored.
"I expect you wish to learn the dangerous arts now?" Kay nodded eagerly,
"Well that will come soon enough and then take years before you can use
them. However that is not the point."
"Why does it take so long?" Kay questioned in the way everyone his age is
able, with the need to know everything at once."
"Magic is powerful, it is an intelligence that would, if it could, take
you over and destroy you. One day I will teach you how to use it when I
think you are ready, but first you must learn the basics that even a trader
would know." Barwin beckoned Kay to follow him up to his room for the
first lesson to begin. There seemed to Kay to be far more bottles than
before, but it was still a mess with old books on the floor and papers
piled up high. Barwin took a staff from the side of a bookcase and also
picked up a candle alight on his desk.
"Which one holds magic?" He asked holding each item to ether side of him.
"The staff." Kay replied with a tone of voice quite sure. A sorcerer's
staff must be magic, what use would they be otherwise, Kay believed, but
Barwin's face darkened.
"Look at them, concentrate." Now unsure Kay quickly became worried and
compared the flickering candle to the staff that had carved symbols along
it. Barwin sighed as he waited, he expected more, perhaps that was his
fault.
"I do not know." Kay stated, deciding to be truthful and awaited the
sorcerer's wrath. Strangely the sorcerers face brightened.
"Good, yes very good. Allowing yourself to be taught young man is the
first lesson." Confused Kay could only offer a quick smile. Barwin did
not return it, he had to remain strict and would not make mistakes this
time, specially if the boy was willing to be guided.
"Are they magical?" Asked Kay seeking an answer. Barwin nodded
"Look at the candle, see how the wick does not burn. You do not always
need to know how to see magic to discover it. The staff I have yet to
finish." He replaced the staff, but kept hold of the candle." Barwin
stepped over to Kay and put his arm around the boy's shoulders. The stern
master was gone for a moment as he began to teach his new apprentice his
own love of the art.

Kay learned that night to look past the object, pretend not to see it and
suddenly he was able to see a light blue glow that was the magic. Suddenly
the tower seemed different and his loneliness forgotten as he awaited the
next lesson. The next week, snow fell, the death it carried every year was
hidden so well by its beauty, by the fun of the village children playing,
by the comfort of the fire and drink. Finally Kay had been allowed to see
his family, but only for a short time. If was not what he expected, the
village children ran at the sight of his robe and his father was unsure
what to say. He was polite, he had never been polite before. At least his
brothers were the same and teased as they always did. All too soon he had
to return as he saw the cat awaiting him outside his former home.

The thunder awoke him suddenly as the storm grew in strength outside. Kay
shuffled in his bed to tried to find the warmth, but two blankets did
nothing to stop the cold wind racing up the stairs, coming under the door
to find him. The distant sound of banging told him something he did not
want to know, the door to the tower was open. Struggling between the
comfort of the bed and the displeasure of his master, he made his way
across the freezing floor that immediately numbed his bare feet. Opening
the bedroom door, he shivered at the icy gale that pushed against him as he
stepped down the steps. Pools of water had formed on the kitchen floor as
rain found its way in the open door. The fire had gone out, some of it
scattered across the floor. Quickly and swearing, Kay caught the door and
shut it soundly. This time he made sure the bolt could not work its way
loose. Trudging across the floor he headed back to his room. His robe was
a little damp and now cold to his skin, he could not feel his feet. The
wind still followed him up the stairs from the general gaps in the front
door and windows. It would not be so bad if my room had a fire, he found
himself thinking. Stopping for a second he grabbed his blankets and then
continued up the stairway.

Before him was the sorcerer's door, he began to debate if this was a good
idea, but before he could come to an answer, it opened.
"Yes." Barwin asked sharply Curious Kay gazed at the door and as the
sorcerer had taught him and looked for the magic. It glowed and so proved
Kay right that the door somehow alarmed the sorcerer of him being there.
"I wondered if I could sleep in your room, it's much warmer than my, I
would not bother..."
"What have you been doing?" Barwin interrupted, he had notice Kay's damp
robe and a small pubble of water under him.
"The door had worked open." Kay half whispered to explain. Barwin
appeared to think for a second and at another flash of lighting, opened the
door further to let Kay inside. Inside, it was like walking into a furnace
compared with the rest of the tower. The sounds of the winds seemed more
distance too as Kay moved close to the fire to warm himself.
"You are welcome to the floor or to share the bed, which ever you wish."
Barwin informed getting back into his bed. It did not take long for Kay to
consider. He was no longer use to a floor and he could not sleep in the
robe now as it was damp, which left only the two blankets for comfort.
Barwin had his eyes close and back to him as he went around to the
otherside of the bed. It had a number of sheets, most for being on top and
some for underneath, it was warm and inviting, he was too tired to see if
magic was also in place. He disrobed and dropped it to the floor.
"I will not have your dirty clothes in my bed." Barwin added with a yawn.
Pulling off his loincloth also Kay hurried under the covers. Then all at
once the candles that lit the room blew out and it was pitch dark. Now
warm and comfortable Kay drifted in his thoughts, moments later he could
hear the deep breathing of Barwin and soon he too slept.

It was the beat of Barwin's heart Kay could feel which awoke him abruptly.
His own heart quicken as he realised the sorcerer's breath blew across his
face. Against Kay's naked skin Barwin's hand was touching his shoulder,
the boy could feel the heartbeat, the warmth and slight damp of sweat.
Listening carefully, trying to be so still he thought he was shaking, he
could tell the man was still sleeping. Kay gradually moved to allow the
hand to drop, but this cause Barwin to drop and suddenly more of his body
rested on Kay. Kay inside panicked and hoped Barwin might move back to his
side. There combined body heats caused small droplets of sweat to begin to
form along Kay's back and buttocks, which suddenly Kay felt were being
touched by something else. Slowly Kay pushed a free hand behind him and
under the sheets to find what began to press on his cheeks, he did not want
to check, but knew he had to. He could feel the growing heat of the
sorcerer's dick and suddenly he touched it. Again checking the sorcerer's
breathing, he froze, his thumb and forefinger were delicately placed on the
end of his master's dick! His moved his hand further and then felt Barwins
hair brush his hand. It was erect, bigger than the length of his own hand.
He had seen his father and brother's dicks before, the way they hung down
and had never before thought of it, but now he could see how they might be.
Now he was touching a man's erect dick. His mind started throwing strange
new thought's at him, what should happen with an erect dick next, he new a
little about sex, couples and animals to breed more. Now it made a little
more sense and then their was his own. Kay could feel the sorcerer's dick
become harder as he found he was actually firmly holding on to it. He let
go and swiftly withdraw his hand, but again Barwin dropped a little. Kay
held his breath as he could feel the tip of Barwin's dick slide down and
pushed slightly between his buttocks. Kay resisted tensing his ass knowing
it would grip Barwins dick and maybe wake him. Carefully Kay arched his
back to move his pelvis forward and then he slide to the edge of the bed
and crawled out. The last thing he wanted to do was wake the sorcerer,
instead he wanted a hole to open up and swallow him. It was almost dawn
Kay sensed, quietly he picked up his clothes and half skipped to the door.
He hoped the door would be in a good mood and opened it in one fast action
then slipped through the gap. On the other side he ran down the stairs,
hoping the door would not detect him. In the kitchen he stopped and dared
look down at his own body.

His dick had fattened a little and rather than pointed down, pointed
outwards. It was semi hard, strangely tender and Kay knew that if he
touched it would feel great. He took hold of his robe and loincloth and
rapidly put them on, then he unbolted the door and headed out to the start
of the new day. He knew he did not have much time and rushed as best he
could, slipping along the lightly snow covered ground, for the cover of the
trees in the wood. Hastily he pulled off the robe, the wind hit his skin
but it felt refreshing not cold. Standing now in just the loincloth, he
paused for a moment. His hairless nipples had become erect and tingled
against the wind. If the sorcerer was to catch him, what would the
punishment be this time, he thought back to the canning and then the liquid
Barwin had used. Kay looked down at his small piece of cloth that had
never before shown the outline of his innocence, but it did now. He pushed
down his loincloth and stared at his dick, he understood now what his older
brother was doing in the trees when he had surprised him. He placed a
finger on the top of his uncircumcised penis and softly stroked the skin,
he watched it harden, it felt nice and tried squeezing it. Quickly he took
hold of it with all of his hand. No longer was he in control as he quickly
began rubbing his cock harder. He tried to use both hands but only one
really gripped it well enough. At the first spasm he stopped, but his hand
started to rub harder and harder. Pre cum dripped from the tip, Kay did
not understand, but took no notice as it was feeling so good. The pre cum
lubricated his hand, which meant he could go faster. His left hand now
griped tightly to a nearby branch and he started to breath heavily and
harder. His ass tensed as he pushed his whole body forward. His dick was
standing right up now as the boy continue to rub and squeeze it. All of a
suddenly Kay let out a moan of ecstasy. It was over to quickly. He
continued to rub it a moment longer, but the feeling had gone and it was
suddenly getting small again. Sweat ran down his face and he let go of the
branch to wipe his forehead. Finally he let go of his dick and dropped to
his knees. He gazed at his hand and rubbed the pre cum between his fingers
then gathering the snow wiped then clean.. Suddenly realised he had to
return. Finding a leaf he cleaned up, it was very cold against the warmth
of his skin Pulling his clothes back on, he rushed back.

On returning he rebuilt the fire and set about re-lighting it while trying
at the same time not to think about what had happened in the wood. The
sorcerer once again dressed in his usual black came down for his morning
drink. Kay did not want to join him this time, but sat quietly with a
drink of his own.
"Are you ill?" Barwin unexpectedly asked, which awoke Kay from his dream.
 "No master."
"You look a bit red in the face, did you not sleep last night?" Kay
realised Barwin had given him the reason for his asking and a potential way
out of his interrogation, but knew if he took it the sorcerer would know
something was wrong.
"I checked the traps earlier, it was a bit cold, that be all." Kay's mind
finally produced. Barwin nodded and continued writing on a piece of paper
he had brought down with him. Kay would wait a little longer before
leaving, but he was feeling extremely self counties. For some reason all
he could feel was very move his dick made against his loincloth, so
sensitive it now was. Barwin looked up again.
"It will be another storm tonight, if you get cold again you are welcome
to my room." Kay's dick twitched suddenly and he quickly drew his drink to
his face to hide his reddening face.
"Be fine in my I'm sure." He managed back.
"Also," Barwin continued not taking notice of the boy's peculiar
behaviour. He put it down to the lack of knowledge he had about children,
"Tomorrow you will attend me to the Town of Athedstone, it is a days ride
from here. You may of seen it from the north edge." For a moment Kay
forgot his growing problem and knew excited at the thought of leaving the
Tower.
 "What will we do there?"
"I have business to attend, if there is a market gathered you will buy
some materials for me and more blankets for your bed, otherwise your
attention of the horses is all."
"Will we stay." Ask Kay suddenly hoping for a warm inn. His hope was
granted by a nod and informed it was too far to return in one day. It lead
to the needed excuse to leave and attend the horses.

At the stable Kay stripped off his clothes and before he began mucking out
the horses noticed his cock had returned to normal. It dawned on him to
avoid thinking about it and it would stop getting hard, but by the time he
had finished sorting out the horses, already it struck firmly outwards.
The next morning came slowly, but by first light the sorcerer and his
apprentice were already at the base of the tower and travelling to
Athedstone.

To call it a town, was to denied fish could swim. It was a village of four
central stone houses and twenty or so shacks. However it was filled with
more people than Kay had ever seen and the sounds of the market filled his
ears. The sorcerer booked them into the only inn without any problems even
thought it was full when he first entered. Kay disappeared to the market
to find what he could before the light was lost. It was a place full of
wonder for the boy as traders shouted to sell their goods. One stall held
magic goods, but on looking closer only a third of the exotic items
actually were. Kay still knew very little of magic, Barwin did not say
much about it and so he still had not found his own magic or knew what to
do with magic items. He would soon be thirteen summers, old enough to join
hunting parties, certainly old enough for magic that appeared not as
dangerous as he first thought.

Returning to the inn with extra blankets, some herbs the sorcerer had
requested, he first checked the horses. Heading in, he found Barwin
leaving.
"I will be late back, do not leave the Inn." He commanded, not even
looking at Kay or the things as he marched past. Use to the sorcerer's
tones, Kay took no notice and climbed the stairs to their room. Kay was
glad the sorcerer would be late, he would be asleep first in the room's
single but large bed. It was a simple room, a bed, a small window, a
wooden floor give it warmth, but at the same time allowed the noise of the
bar float upwards. Kay dumped his stuff down in the corner. He thought of
exploring outside, but Barwin had instructed him to stay. Bored he found
himself looking through a couple of the sorcerer's books, but could only
make out a few words known to him and they have no pictures. It was early
but Kay finally threw his clothes to the corner and climbed into the bed.
It was softer that the sorcerer's and his own and Kay had carefully peeled
back one extra sheet to be a barrier between himself and Barwin for when he
returned. The rooms two candles continued to burn and Kay drifted.

"Well I have done has you asked, but they will come back." A voice spoke.
Kay woke. It was in the room, a man's deep voice attempting to whisper.
"I hope not for sometime, I thank you." Barwin answered. Kay kept his
eyes closed and pretended to be asleep. He was going to get to find out
more about his master and he was not going to risk anything spoiling the
chance.
"And now what of this boy of yours you wanted to show me." Kay jumped
inside, he meant him. A couple of steps on the oak beams and Kay knew they
were both closer now.
"Well?" Barwin uttered in a whisper. Then they both drew away again, Kay
assumed he missed a nod or a shake.
"Yes he has it, but he is young Bar. And are you the best one to train
him?" Even the whisper could not hide the criticising tone.
"I will of course wait until he is older."
"But will you do it right this time? I am your friend, I have told the
council to allow this, but"
"But trust me," Barwin interrupted, "this time I am keeping a eye out this
time, evil will not take him. Come." They left Kay confirmed with a quick
glimpsed across to the door and the boy was left with many questions. He
had trained someone before, it had gone wrong, but why. Rolling over Kay
let out a sigh.

The sorcerer never returned to sleep that night, Kay found him the next
morning paying for a breakfast and the innkeeper's bill. The mood of the
sorcerer was dark and Kay could understand by the way everyone stood some
distance away he was not to be disturbed. Disappointed to not have some of
the food he could see left on Barwin's plate he went to prepare the horses
for the return journey. The wind and rain made the journey a long, wet and
cold one. The tower did not seem inviting by its end. The fire refused to
light and without dry wood, Kay was forced to leave his clothes and his new
blankets to dry across the kitchen table. Kay faced a cold night. But it
was not the cold that bothered him. He wanted answers, he deserved answers
having been almost sold to the tower by his father and having to serve this
sorcerer that he hated, but strangely wanted to please as well, he had
enough. Pulling on his loincloth back on and wrapping both blankets around
him he determinedly walked up the stairs.

For the first time courage knocked and opened the door. He did not mind
waiting, but hated not being told everything.
"You were not..." The sorcerer began but stopped on looking at the boy's
demanding eyes, he concluded, "You were awake." The door behind Kay shut
on its own accord and the sorcerer stood up from his normal position at the
desk. Kay nodded
"But I didn't understand." Bravely he responded.
"And now you think you can walked in here and ask." Barwin's stern voice
returned, but then a memory found him. "Perhaps I should tell you, perhaps
that was where I went wrong."
"I can wait, but why must it be a secret?" Kay pushed, knowing he could
as now the sorcerer seemed weakened. Kay was relieved he would not have to
battle with Barwin to learn what he needed to know. The sorcerer sat back
down and beckoned Kay forward to a chair. The pain behind his eyes forced
him to close them for a moment, but then he began.
"A long time ago I was given an apprentice to train by the council, I will
explain them another time. I," He paused, a flicker of anger crossed his
face, "failed. I wanted to wait, he was not ready. However he found the
magic, the power for himself, but it was evil and so I killed him." Wide
eyed Kay listened intently, but his mind highlighted the fact the sorcerer
had killed someone.
"I still don't understand." Kay asked to fill the silent and remind the
sorcerer who now looked distance that he was still there.
"The magic is inside you, but you have to reach for it and to do that you
must focus on an emotion or passion. Once you have the moment, the
feeling, you can then access the magic anytime you wish, but to find that
moment is the hardest thing of all." He intensely stared at Kay, "The path
of evil is the easy one, to focus on pain or your first kill quickly finds
you the power, but it is corrupt and in time will drive you mad." Barwin's
head dropped, for the first time Kay looked upon him, their roles reversed.
"And the good path?" Inquired Kay quietly.
"Love, the passion, its wonder, be it that second that you feel like a god
when you make love to someone or the feeling of wonder as the sun rises.
Once you have that moment you can take control of the magic." Barwin looked
up again. "Now you understand and the problem is clear." Kay nodded
slowly.
"I have to make love to someone before I can be your apprentice!"
"Well I could of put it that way I surpose." Barwin smiled broadly, "But
yes that is what must be. So you must wait, now be off with you I need my
sleep." Barwin made for the bed. Just like that, the truth was know. It
was what he wanted to know, but it was not enough, except it was very
simple. Unhurried Kay stood and headed back to the door, his own thoughts
spun around his head at what he now knew, then he stopped
"What if I knew what it felt like." He stated, quickly regretting it, but
Barwin had heard.
"Explain, what do you know?" He firmly ordered, but to soften his words
and seeing Kay's features grew tense he added, "Tell me, I would like to
heard." Turning Kay put his back to the nearby wall for support and took a
deep breath.
"I have, well I did it alone, in the wood after I shared your bed that
first time, before you awoke, would that be enough." He finally replied,
looking ashamed and embarrassed.
"You have, of course! I guess boys your age would." He searched for a
suitable answer bringing his hand to his face in thought. Suddenly seeing
the boy's embarrassment and his courage for letting the sorcerer know he
motioned Kay across to him once more. "It is a natural thing, no point
being embarrassed about it Kay, I have done so myself.."
"You have?" Kay was surprise and again slowly relaxed.
"Yes, but I doubt it would be, well enough to capture the magic."
"Oh." Said Kay disappointingly, the chance to find magic became suddenly
distance and the reality of being a servant for years was once more too
close. Patting his head Barwin sighed and walked away again.
"If you wished, you may return to the village, I will continue to pay your
father." He suggested, the stern quality of this voice now lost. Kay felt
close to crying, but it realised it was anger.
"But you haven't given me a chance." He suddenly sobbed and marched
towards the sorcerer, his blankets felled to the floor from around his
shoulders. This was all too much, he wanted to hit Barwin, but tears
started rolling down his checks and when he had reached the sorcerer he
could doing nothing but allow him to hold him.

Time passed, a heartbeat could be nothing or the longest day. Kay felt he
stood being held by Barwin for hours, but then Barwin knelt down to him.
"You're right, I have not." He whispered.
"And you're always so, you never want me around" Stated Kay.
"I sorry if you think that, you have been most useful to me."
"That's not what I mean!" the boy interrupted
"I know what you mean," Barwin's voice overruled Kay objection, he touched
the boy's mouth with his fingers to stop him talking further. "We will try
then, so clear those tears and get back up." At Kay hesitation he added
more lightly. "Well come on, I do wish to sleep tonight as well." They
parted. Kay stood a little uneasily and wiped his tears on his bare arm
then waited. Barwin moved across and sat on the bed.
"Ready," Kay nodded, a little unsure but found himself wanting to please
the sorcerer who in the last few seconds had gone from being the most
hated, to the closest friend he had ever had.
"Very well, you must take this slow, take your time, I do not think this
will be enough, but we'll see. Take a deep breath." Kay did so pulling
back his thin shoulders and closing his eyes. Fear stirred deep at the pit
of his stomach and he wondered if he was shaking.
 "Yes." He replied
"Do not speak, listen to my voice, disregard any other sound. The wind
can not be heard, continue to take long deep breaths." Continued Barwin as
he watched the child's chest rise then fall. "Now go back to the last time
you practised making love." Kay's mind raced back to the wood, he could
see it all clearly, his dick awaiting to be touched, he gasped. Then the
sorcerer's voice returned "I want you to remember every moment, the feeling
of touching it first, your thoughts, the need." Barwin paused to allow Kay
to begin to relive the memory and was quickly rewarded as Kay's young dick
started to push up against the thin loincloth. His deep breaths quickened
but were now natural.
"Yes." Kay uttered, his hands griped themselves to both sides of him
"Don't speak, concentrate on the feeling. Now you are going faster, the
feeling becomes greater and greater, see it, your body begins to push
forward and you're get nearer the time." Kay's dick was now fully erect,
its detail and shape against the cloth was very clear to Barwin who looked
upon the boy's tensing slender body. Sweat ran down the man's forehead as
he approached the final moment with Kay.
 "I am."
"Getting close now, as you begin to fuck your dick even harder."
"Yes." Cried Kay, beads of sweat began to form and dampen his exposed
skin. This was better than before, he was no longer in the wood but in a
new world.
 "Harder." Barwin shouted.
"Yes." Moaned the boy, his body rocking forward and back. In his mind he
suddenly jerked forward as he powerfully fucked his hand.
"Now look," Barwin suddenly demanded, "find the magic, take the feeling,
find it, now, do it right now!" Kay's world twisted out of shape, and it
was here a great light before him, but suddenly gone, the ecstasy that
carried him forward vanished. He could feel Barwin's hands holding him as
he opened his eyes and stared as if he had never seen before.
 "I.."
"Take a moment." Barwin stopped him. It was over, but had not got there
yet. Slowly his senses returned, the smell of the fire, the cold air that
brushed against his naked body. His strength returned and Barwin let him
go, he slivered standing there, his piece of loincloth had dropped to the
floor, its string broke.
"I could see it." He stammered without a thought to his undressed state,
not after what he had just shared.
"Yes, but you didn't touch it." Barwin added. Kay looked down at his body
for second, his three inch cock was still almost hard.
"I couldn't reach it." They both looked at each other and the moment was
a heartbeat. Looking down at the nude figure before him Barwin slowly
said.
"Do you trust me young Kay, would you want to tried again?" Feeling
better, Kay bravely nodded. He knew now more than ever before he had to do
this, he wanted nothing else but to be the best sorcerer in the world.
"Yes, I trust you." Barwin nodded.
"Tomorrow we will try again, but now to bed." Ether spoke anymore the
sorcerer broke the stare and undressed to climb into the bed. Kay now
feeling the warmth of the room again made his way to the other side and was
asleep before his head touched the sheets. Barwin took a moment to cover
him and he to slept.

The night before felt like a dream. Morning dawned and the storm had
become light wind outside. Kay awoke to find Barwin missing, the need to
pee, moved him from the bed. His robe hanged from the wardrobe door and
his loincloth was on the floor, mended by a new knot in the string. He
dressed and yawning headed downstairs.

The kitchen fire was lit, but the sorcerer was not here ether and Kay
ventured out to see if the horses had been feed. He finally found Barwin
loading supplies on one of the horses.
"Morning." Barwin addressed him as he entered.
"You are leaving." Kay asked with a frown.
"I will be gone for a few days, I need to see Red, an old friend of my."
"The one at the inn?" Kay took a guess rubbing his arms against the chill
of the air.
"Yes." The sorcerer pulled himself across the horse and was ready to
leave.
"Why are you going now, would the road not be harsh." Disappointment
laced his voice as he asked. The truth was he cared little about the
roads, only that magic called him.
"That is not your concern, attend your duties, practice reading and I will
be back soon." He ordered and directing the horse headed out and onto the
wood to the path down the hill. Kay watched him go, kicking the soil he
returned to the tower.

The storm returned later that day and continued through to the next. The
rain washed away the snow, Kay became bored.

The fourth night the sorcerer returned. Kay was awoken by the sound of the
horse upset by the rain. He had only just decided to go to bed, so quickly
redressed to welcome the sorcerer home. The door opened to reveal Barwin
and then it was held tightly for hooded figure to enter. Struggling
against the wind Barwin closed the door once more. Kay a bit surprised at
there being someone else, but offered the towels he had obtained from the
cave-room. The figure was the same height as him and Kay could only stare
as the newcomer moved their arms to push back the hood.
"Yes he's an elf, help him out of those wet things and show him to a warm
bath before he catches a cold." Barwin ordered, waking Kay from his trance.
Barwin, throwing the towel he was using to the table, left them. Annoyed
by the weather and tired, Kay guessed, but his main thought was on the boy
before him. He was Kay's own age roughly, but then he was an elf which
could mean anything. He had only heard of them before, they were very
rare. It was the ears that extended back to a point that Kay could not
help glancing at as he reached the wall to push it open. The elf's head
seemed more angled, his eyes not so rounded and he had paler skin.
"Eh, what's your name, I'm Kay."
"My name is very long, Red calls me by the human name Jack." His voice
was tuneful in a strange way, but a little shy to Kay. Kay entered the
entrance to the cave.
"Well Jack I guess you had better follow me." Kay instructed, not sure
about the name Jack for an elf. Elf's were magical according to stories,
they all had a bow and could fire ten arrows to your one, but the stories
could be wrong Kay considered. He lead Jack to the pool and helped him
pulled off his soaked rode. Under the robe he had on bragga that were to
big for him and so had been tied around his chest rather than waist. Jack
pulled them off and stepped down into the pool. Kay gathered the clothes
and left to place them close to the kitchen fire. Returning Kay sat down
by the edge of the pool, by this time the elf was swimming around the pool.
"I guess you are an apprentice of Red?" Kay began the questioning.
"Was." Jack answered before taking a dive under the surface. He could not
see Jack under the water, the cave was to dark. He surfaced the otherside
of the pool.
 "Was!" Kay repeated, puzzled.
"I am now to be trained here." He explained and made his way to the edge
near Kay. Jack pushed his brown hair back from his eyes to behind his ears
that once again draw Kay's attention.
"Can you hear more than I can?" He half pointed to Jack's ears.
"I don't know." Jack shrugged and then giggled. "I'm not you." Kay
giggled back
"Alright I guess that was a stupid question." Suddenly they were friends.
"We are weaker than you, we get more colds and things." Added Jack. He
felt for the bottom of the pool and got out. He stood dripping for a moment
before Kay jumped up to find a towel. Except the head, Jack looked human,
just thin which was another elven trait.
"Yet you come here, to a cold tower on a mountain top."
Jack dried himself with the cloth, when he had finished he wrapped it
around his waist.
"My magic will protect me from the weather, but I think this is
temporary."
"Your magic!" Kay exclaimed. Perhaps Jack was a lot older than him, "You
mean you've made, I mean..."
"No I am an elf, finding magic is natural to us if we have it. Its the
learning like you we must do," He explained seeing the looked on Kay's
face, then he laughed, "You thought I have to have sex like you."
"Shut up." Kay snapped, a little embarrassed. Jack noticed and went
quiet. He began to shake.
"I still get cold." He added, "Where am I to sleep?" Kay was not sure,
the sorcerer had not said and he wasn't going to ask.
"I guess you share with me tonight, something else can be done tomorrow."
Kay headed across to the stairs, "Come on."

Together they reached Kay's room and at once Jack throw the towel to the
corner and rushed to the bed. It was only a single bed, but Kay had shared
a bed sometimes with his brothers when he lived with them, so the thought
of being naked with another boy did not occur to him. He did pause before
pulling off the robe to consider if it might be cold without it, but then
keeping on would be unfair to Jack. Jack had turned to the wall and Kay
put his back to him. It was warm and cosy for the first time and reminded
him of his former home. They slept.

Kay awoke to someone prodding him on the shoulder. He was surprised to
find it was Barwin standing above him, who quickly placed a finger over his
mouth to inform him not to make a sound. Jack was still asleep. Barwin
looked stern as he beckoned Kay to follow him. Kay carefully moved out of
the bed and pulled on his robe on reaching the stairs to follow the
sorcerer. What was going on now Kay wondered stepping quickly to avoid the
cold nipping at him on his feet. Barwin stood quietly by his bed as Kay
entered. It was nearing dawn Kay knew, seeing there was no light in the
room but the candles.
"Do you still wish to learn of the magic, find it now and not wait." He
finally said, the formality scared Kay a little. Kay's heart quickened,
his mind wondered at what the sorcerer might now do.
"I can wait, but would like to try." He breathed out. A pause. A
heartbeat.
"Take off that robe and come closer." Barwin instructed in a level voice,
Kay noticed he took deep breathes as well. Kay pulled off the robe in one
quick action to expose himself fully to the sorcerer. The only sound was
that of the robe dropping to the floor. Step by step courage pushed him
closer to Barwin. Being naked before the sorcerer no longer bothered him,
in a way he liked it.
"What is going to happen?" He whispered, never before had he been so
tense.
"Nothing if you don't want it too, just relax." Barwin reassured reaching
out to pat his shoulder. Kay took a deep breath and looked up to the
sorcerer before him. "Now lets go back again, close your eyes..."

Barwin continued talking and Kay went back to the wood once more. His dick
awaited his touch, he stroked it gently forward and back, sliding the skin
across at the same time. Barwin watch the boy dick begin to hardened as he
took the boy back to emotions and feelings. A minute passed, then in a
swift movement he took Kay's right hand and moved it across to it. Now it
was real, Kay's hand took hold of his dick and began to feel how good it
was. The wood had gone, eyes shut he stood before the sorcerer rubbing
dick now almost fully erect. Barwins hands softly touched his shoulders,
then stroked his arms as Kay speeded up his ecstasy. Pre cum began to
dampen his hand and already sweat tickled down his back. Barwins smoothing
hands crossed his chest and Kay softly moaned a little. Harder, faster
Kay's hand worked, Barwins hands worked down the boy's body and then seized
Kay's hands. Kay opened his eyes at the sorcerer on his knees before him.
Barwin stared at the boys erected dick before him, a good 4 inches with its
boy smell and heat that reached out for him. He withdrawn his hands and
moved to kiss the boy's innocence. At the first touch, it jumped, Kay's
hands found the sorcerer's hair and then the back of neck. Barwin drew his
hands up and around the back of Kay legs and pulled him forward. Barwin's
tongue consumed Kay's new manhood and once in his mouth he began sucking
hard. Kay thrusted forward for the first time and let out a yelp of
delight followed by moans of pleasure. Barwins hands moved up to grasp
Kay's butt as he produced deeper thrusts. Kay could feel himself building
up and up and let out another moan. He could not stop himself, his body
wanting to fuck Barwin's mouth more and more. Barwin continue to suck
hard, his nails clawed into the boy's ass. He tightened his hold as Kay
panicked for a second. He was going to explode into the sorcerer's mouth,
he had to stop, but then it overcame him, his back arched back as he
thrusted everything into the moment. Cum shot into the Sorcerer's mouth,
it was not much, but Barwin took it all in and then he let go. Kay
collapsed on the Sorcerer's bed, he did not think he could stand.
"Oh." He moaned and could say no more. His dick pulsed for a moment as
sweat dampened the blanket he laid on. His mind wondered, suddenly the
magic light was before him, it was still far away. He concentrated, then
relaxed the feeling of sex reached him, emotion surrounded him and he moved
towards the power. He controlled it, it battled against him, but he had
it. Opening his eyes and looking down, blue light raced up and down his
still naked figure.
"I have it!" He cried, "I've got it." He bolted up and jumped over to the
sorcerer standing and looking at him. He threw his arms around Barwin in
joy. "I have it."
 "Yes you have."
"Thank you, now I am a true apprentice, now I can learn." Excitedly Kay
announced. But Barwin failed to answer, Kay let go and backed away.
"Yes," He finally answered, "but you will not be taught by me."
"What, But.." Kay stumbled, the blue glow vanished from around him.
"But now we have done this, means I am too close to you." Barwin stepped
forward to hold Kay who looked betrayed, so he continued. "You are still
easy prey for evil, the forces could easily kill you and that would weaken
me, your death would be a dark moment and work against my control of the
magic. The death of a simple boy from the village would mean little, but
you are not that now." Kay shook Barwin's hands loose and then he ran,
Barwin ordered him to stop but was ignored.

The naked figure unbolted the kitchen door and ran across to the wood, the
confused boy's most intimate moment suddenly meant he was to be sent away
for the second time. It was cold, but he did not care. However he did
slow to a stop, realising that there was no where to run. Falling to his
knees onto the damp muddy ground, tears made a path down his unblemished
face. He watched the first drop down and splashed off his groin. Slowly he
moved his legs from under him and draw them up against his chest, his knees
and legs were now caked in mud.
"What's going on?" A voice called to him, it was Jack. Kay did not answer
at first, but he came closer. "You haven't got, I mean what have you
done?"
"Go away." Cried Kay not looking. Jack stood behind him, he could not
leave Kay out in the cold, but did not know what next to do. Kay trembled
a little.
"Come on don't be stupid, come back in." The elf tried pleading.
"Go away." The boy repeated at a whisper.
"What happened?" Jack asked, who now wondered if he should find the
sorcerer. Kay didn't answer for a while, he was mad with everything, then
full of pleasure.
"I made love to him." Kay blunted out in the end, "And, and your my
replacement." Jack knelt down next to him.
 "That makes sense then."
"What?" Kay replied, forgetting his tears for a moment. Finally he turned
to look at Jack his eyes glazed, Jack smiled, in the way Kay discovered
only elves could.
"You have to leave, its happened to others you can't get upset about it."
 "I don't understand." Jack sighed.
"Why don't you come back inside first, I'll explain." Requested Jack Kay
nodded after a short time. Jack helped him regain his legs now very cold
and numbed and together they headed back. Barwin watched them from the
tower, it was not the place for him. He had no choice and felt his success
was still failure.

The boys went straight through to the cave. To Kay the water was extremely
hot and soothing and quickly he submerged himself. Jack waited.
"I guess it will be tomorrow when you must go."
"So soon!" Jack nodded "It is to risky for you. If something killed you,
Barwin would be hurt ad the council would lose much power." Kay floated in
the middle of the pool.
 "I guess."
"Once you have some magic and is stronger you can come back." Kay nodded,
his head a little clearer. The rest of the day Kay avoided Jack and Barwin
he attended the horses and spend a long time in the wood thinking. Perhaps
it would not be so bad, a new life again. This thought was followed by the
image of Barwin's lips over his firm dick. He wanted to do it again, it
was a strange thought, but then he realised he was no longer a village boy.
He was now in a big exciting world and with a little concentration, he
could feel the magic.

That night in bed he lay on his back looking at the ceiling. He could not
sleep, Jack had confirmed that night tomorrow he would leave and his life
would change again.
"Does it happen often?" The question suddenly hit Kay A moan indicated
Jack wanted to sleep.
"A few times I've heard. Move over a bit will you." Jack finally
answered. The elf had his back to him, Kay could feel his warmth.
 "Have you?"
"No." Jack answered quicker this time. "I heard that once elven mage made
love to a human boy just so he could catch up to the other apprentice who
was another elf." "Really!" Kay naturally turned towards Jack
interested. "What happened?"
"The council moved the boy, I can't remember his name." A moment passed
"What do you mean the sorcerer made love to him?" Kay asked frowning A
sigh was followed by Jack turning to face him.
"You know, he put his dick up the boy's ass." Jack explained and privately
delighted to see the surprise and embarrassment on Kay's face. Kay was
shocked, but then he had never thought about a man sucking his a day
before. Images flashed through his head, he suddenly remembered the day he
was caned. His cock began itch.
 "Did it hurt."
 "I don't know, I wasn't there." Jack answered, he smiled. "You're thinking
about it now."
"Shut out, I just wondered." Kay lied, but his dick hardened.
Jack smiled and made to turn back, but before he did he swiftly moved his
hand to grip Kay's dick. Kay let out a gasp in astonishment, then Jack let
go.
"Just checking." He said settling to go back to sleep again.
"Oh shut up." Kay retorted. Kay turned back, after a while he brushed his
hand down his body to touch his dick pointing outwards. Holding it for a
moment, enjoying the feeling, he quickly withdraw his hand and tried to
sleep.

That morning Barwin met him in the kitchen. The old sorcerer had returned.
"Come boy," He instructed and went outside to get the horses. Kay
wondered how hard it was for him, perhaps they could be friends when he was
older. Kay waved bye to Jack who now took his place and stepped outside.
It was a good day for a new beginning.
