Subject: Corrupted Purpose Part 3

Disclaimer: Most events occurring are purely fictional and have no relation
to me or any other person I know, however my life has been the basis of the
character in certain ways but not many. Although the story does start out
with the main character from birth, nothing explicit occurs until the
character is over 18 years old. This story includes Male/Male sexual
encounters and possible violent descriptions, nothing too an extreme extent
though. If it is illegal to read in your country or if you are too young,
then please head this warning and do NOT read any further. That last thing
an author wants is for his readers to get in trouble.

Note: Considering this is my first story posted on here all feedback is
requested, whether you send a message saying you loved it or just to ask a
question about the story. Please do not send a "poisoned dagger" (a email
which basically says stuff like "YOU'RE STORY SUCKED!!!" etc...) as it will
not only be an entirely ignored email but will also only make you look less
intelligent by having to hide behind harsh remarks as opposed to
constructive criticism or helpful ideas. Email me at

------- Josh: -------

I sat down once we got back to home base and sighed. This all happened so
fast, and it seems that it all happened under our noses. Not only that but
it involved Austin's nephew and Chris as well.

I remember the day that Chris left us, he wasn't in his right mind, I'm
sure of it. He had been in bed all day due to his wounds from a fight in
which he failed to keep his comrades safe. Later that night I was woken up
to be told that he had ran away after killing one of our members. I was
shocked and rounded up Maxon to help me go catch him but when we finally
got to him something was wrong. He was smiling and laughing maniacally and
then suddenly a huge force pushed us back into a wall. He went running off
into the darkest shadows I had ever seen. Although us vampires were able to
travel through shadows, this was more it was if he was enshrouded in an
evil presence so great that even we couldn't enter. I assume it's because
he was under THEIR control but I guess well find out later today when they
give the results back.

"Sir," someone opened my door and walked in, "Maxon is awake and he is
ready to come in."

"Perfect, send him in then." I stood up and walked forward a bit as I saw
Maxon enter. "How are you feeling Maxon?"

"Sir, what happened to me? I feel like I have thousands of stones weighing
me down." He looked pale and like he was about to fall over.

"Why don't you have a seat, I'll explain everything to you." I lead him
over to a couch that was in the corner of my office. "Where to start? I
guess I'll start by telling you what happened yesterday." As I reminded him
of what he told me yesterday, his face showed a constant expression of
fear, especially once I mentioned Austin's disturbing power. "You see
there's a reason why you've been watching this boy other than for the
possibility he is what the prophecy states. He was originally born from
Hell as a Demon. As you know Demon's are our enemies but he was different
than all the others, for you see, he was not born in the fiery depths of
Hell but yet as a human encasing inside himself that power of
destruction. His parents, who knew what he was, so that there would be no
chance of Hell finding him, put him up for adoption. We however, knew that
that would not stop the Demons from finding him so we assigned you to watch
over him."

He looked as if he was about to throw up. "What was it that he did to
Chris?"

"Well," I started to explain, "He is according to the prophecy, only able
to use his powers by exchange of blood until he has decided which path he
will take. In order for him to use destructive powers he must acquire the
blood of his target before he can do any harm. There was a bite on Chris's
tongue which we believe is where he got the blood, from a kiss."

Maxon looked ready to storm out the door to go kill Chris, for touching
Austin without his consent. "Wait, what do you mean until he chooses his
path?"

I smiled at this question since I had been overjoyed whenever I remembered
it was the thing that could save us all. "Well he is not part of the
prophecy just for being a human born Demon. His parents are both
descendents of Angels, making him half Angel as well as part Demon. We have
yet to see if he received any powers from his parents, but we suspect that
he can choose between either his Birth Right or his Spiritual Right. His
Birth Right being his parent's path and his Spiritual Right being what is
trapped inside his human body."

Maxon was speechless not making even the tiniest sound listening to the
entire speech. "So why am I such a big part in this?"

"You have feelings for him, do you not?" I stared him down showing that I
required a true and honest answer.

Maxon looked shocked, "Well of course I have feelings for him but why does
that mean I have to be involved?"

I suddenly started to get angry. "Are you really that blind not to see it?
God, sometimes you are so thick! Whether you want to admit yet or not, you
must be able to feel that he is the one for you!" I waited for his
reaction.

"I know he is! It's just that...well...he is a little different than most
and I don't want to hurt him. He is precious to me more so than any other
but he is still so confused about himself and I don't want to be the one to
accidentally break him." He started tearing up as he mentioned this to
me. I could tell he had set his heart on the boy and really did care about
him.

"Listen, if he is so precious to you then be there for him. He will have to
come to terms with himself soon and imagine what would happen if you
weren't there when he does. He might turn the wrong way, you need to
understand that yes he is fragile but you are equal to him what he is to
you. You both feel the same way and, trust me when I say this he would
rather you be there for him than no one." I took his hand into mine as I
said this. As he started crying I took him into a hug and held him there
comforting him for some time.

"What about Chris?" He suddenly broke the hug and started to fluster a bit.

"Well, we are awaiting the assessment on his mind at the moment. We believe
that currently he is controlled by the Demons and we are trying to figure
out a way to break that bond."

"And what about Austin's nephew, Aaron?" My face betrayed me, and he
suddenly gasped.

"He is not dead if that is what you think, but he might as well be. He is
currently in shock from the attack and he's close to death. We got there in
time to save what was left of him, but currently he is in a stasis unable
to wake back up to live and unable to die. If he does wake up then he will
forever be a were-wolf and he'll have to be kept under extreme
supervision."

"That's awful. Why was no one stationed at his house?" I did not tell him
because I didn't want him to lose faith in me, but in the back of my mind I
knew that I was supposed to be the one stationed at Aaron's house. None of
us expected that type of event to occur, so you couldn't blame me for not
knowing about the attack but he would blame me. Over and over, in fact, and
he would never be able to face me again. He would shut himself out and that
was the last thing that we needed to happen at this moment.

"I don't know. We cleaned up several bodies of burnt vampires but none were
identifiable and we haven't yet tallied any unreported members of us
yet. All I can say is that his nephew is something. He apparently tied them
all up and then set his house on fire. No one was home at the time other
than the Rogues he tied up." I started to wonder though if his nephew had
anything special about him as well.

"Listen, you need to rest some more, you're still very weak. You don't want
to be weak when Austin wakes up or he might just throw his entire being at
you and trust me, that'd be a lot to handle." I picked him up off the couch
and walked him to the room he was staying in, little did he know that the
room was right next to Austin's which would help both of them heal
faster. He walked into his room and I sealed the door shut. As I walked
back to my room I felt a strange presence walking up to the main door, I
cautiously started to walk towards the main door and what I saw when I
opened it shocked me.

--------- Aaron: ---------

'What happened?' I wondered to myself. I could feel warmth but yet I was
cold. I couldn't tell what was going on but all I knew was that I was
alone. I didn't have anyone there and I could feel this strange burning in
my stomach, which was tearing me apart. I tried to open my eyes but all I
could do was feel them flutter, I was scared. I started to cry and I felt a
single tear roll down my cheek as I hoped and prayed for Austin to be safe.

'God dammit!' I shouted in my head. 'Here I am stuck unable to move or wake
up and I can't even tell if Austin is ok!' I was starting to lose myself as
I fell deeper into a dark and lonely place.

------- Josh: -------

"What are you doing here?" I asked the woman in the red dress who was
standing there. I had no intention of dealing with the High Council at the
moment.

"Well I heard a news on the wind that a certain prophecy's subject was
injured. I'm sure you remember that our little deal was that your section
would have full jurisdiction as long as the boy was kept unharmed. I woke
up to a message stating that not only had the boy been injured, but also
that he was almost captured and his nephew is now in stasis and on the
verge of death. I have never been so shocked in my life at how badly your
section did at their job."

I had no intention of letting the High Council member into my base. "Well
yes the deal did state that but if you didn't hear, the attacker was in
fact Chris. As I recall, as soon as Chris became rogue it was your sections
responsibility to keep track of him and inform me of his whereabouts. Why
had I not received any notification of him living so close to our subject
so I could've been more prepared and none of this would have happened."

"Well it seems we are both at a stand still, may I come in so we can
discuss it? I don't feel comfortable with the fact that I'm discussing this
outside the secrecy of your base." I moved aside to let the woman in. She
took off her coat and moved to the nearest chair and sat down. "I propose
an assessment to see if I should take control of the situation."

"Oh don't start asking for that bullsh..." I started but was instantly cut
off.

"In case you forgot I am a member of the High Council! Anything I request
will be obliged, otherwise I might not be as kind as to maybe let the issue
remain in your hands." She looked content that I would melt in her hands
and that I did. I explained to her everything that had happened and the
current situation of everything. As I finished, one of my section's
scientists walked up with a huge folder of results.

"Let me see those." The woman stretched her hand out and grabbed the
folder.

"High Council-Woman Zoe, please do not make me remind you that the contents
of that folder are not yet under your jurisdiction." She handed me the
folder and I opened it up reluctantly as to what awaited inside. I was more
than shocked at certain sections of it. "Well Council-Woman, I have some
interesting information for you. Turns out Chris, was in fact under control
from the Demons and he will be revoked of his rogue status. As for Aaron
there is no telling when he will wake up and how he will be physically or
mentally, unless we got Austin to be the one to wake him up. As for
Austin's wounds, they are fully healed and he is now awake and healthy. He
will no longer be allowed to leave the premises and if he does he will only
be allowed the privilege with Maxon."

"Well I guess you have everything controlled here, I will relay the
information to the High Council. I have one simple question though. Why do
you insist on Maxon being the one to guard Austin's life, he did a pretty
bad job yesterday." She had said this looking for a sign of weakness for
her to exploit so she could gain control of the case.

"There are two things I have left to say to you, after hearing both you
will leave and not concern yourself unless the need arises. First of all it
was not Maxon's fault that the attack happened a week before it was
intended, also since the attacker was meant to be reported to us by you, we
can only blame your sector for not doing your job right. Second Maxon isn't
just trustworthy and loyal, but he is the boy's mate as the boy is
his. Maxon is the one who will solidify the boy's path to help us get rid
of Hell's torment. Now please leave since we, as you were so willing to
state, have everything under control here." I got up and opened the door as
she got on her coat and left.

"Fine you win, but I'll be watching your actions. We can't guarantee that
this place will be safe now that you have the boy but I can promise you I
am not your enemy and I will get the High Council to support whatever
actions you must take." With this she turned and left into the shadows of
the trees.

I shut the door not knowing what to do but only knowing that the stalemate
between Hell and us would soon end and with that end would come a fury so
great that we would be unable to protect the mortal world from danger. I
only hope that Austin was ready to face the life he was now living. I
started to walk towards his room to be the one to explain to him what was
going on.

---------- Austin: ----------

"NO!" I sat up screaming. I fell back into the pillows on the bed I was
sleeping in. I suddenly sat up again and looked at my surroundings. "Where
am I?" I thought aloud.

"You are safe, and lucky to be alive I might add." I looked to my right and
saw an open door and a man standing there. "You did something that most
would never do even if it was the only thing they could do. Now you are
finally healed and trust me when I say, you are safe." The man walked in
and sat on the corner of my bed.

"Who are you and where am I?" I asked the man with a puzzled look.

"Well to be simple about it all my name is Josh and you are currently
residing at my mansion." He smiled and stuck his hand out for me to grab,
which I did and I shook it. "Now I'm going to need you to pay attention
since what I'm about to tell you is extremely important and we won't let
you out of here until you hear me out."

I nodded my head. "Perfect," and he started explaining everything about my
life to me and all the things about who I was, who he was, how I was born,
and what my destiny was. When he got to what happened the other day, my
head started pounding and I felt a wave of emotions roll over me all at
once and it practically tore me in half. When he finished all I did was
look at him. I had believed most of what he said but I felt odd in a way
that it was all about me. "Do you have any questions? Don't be afraid to
ask anything?"

"Well, I have a few. First is how am I supposed to solidify the fact that
I'm going to be part of your side and follow my Birth Right? Second is who
was that man that saved me yesterday? Third would I guess be two in one,
what happened to Chris and Aaron?" He laughed once I finished asking my
questions.

"Is that all? I would have expected a greater amount of confusion as to why
the hell I said everything I did. Well if that's how you feel I guess I'll
explain it to you. First answer is a little risky to say but I guess I
should say it now. In order for you to decide on being with us you'd have
to join our ranks as a vampire. It's not an easy decision and it will be
painful, but many are sacrifices we must make to survive, I'm sure after
yesterday you understand that well." I just sat there and nodded my head
with an expression of sorrow, considering I did remember what I did to
Chris and myself. "Second would be about that man. Well he is like me a
vampire, and in our kind we don't follow normal rules of life. So I guess
we could safely say that that man would be your mate if your were turned
but considering you are already one who isn't a normal human, he is just
generally your mate."

I looked in horror of the explanation I had just received. "What do you
mean my mate? Isn't there a such thing as choosing who you love before you
can classify them as your mate?"

"Yes of course, but surely you know that a persons soul mate is the one who
takes priority over all others. You have never met him before in your life,
yet you feel more strongly about him than any other you've known, am I
right?" I started to blush, as I knew exactly what he was getting at. "And
now for your final question's answer. Chris is a vampire who went rogue
some time ago. Rogues are those who are unregistered vampires or have left
the group for varied reasons. He left considering the fact he was being
controlled by the Demons to bring you to them, but now you are here and
this control on Chris has been broken and he has been reinstated in our
order."

He got up and started to head for the door and I stood up and shouted to
him. "Wait! You forgot about Aaron. How is he doing? I know that I felt
his presence around my house yesterday." Josh turned around and looked
queasy and when he finally spoke his voice was less confident than before.

"Well, he isn't doing too well." My heart sank and my face turned white out
of fear. "He was attacked yesterday by some goons of the Demons. One of
them turned out to be a were-wolf and he got a pretty good scratch on his
face. The process of turning humans to vampires requires a consensual
agreement from the one being turned. However in the case of were-wolfs, one
scratch is good enough to turn a person regardless of their own choice. I'm
afraid there is no cure and if that wasn't bad enough he is in a very bad
state of being at the moment. You see the wounds were bad enough to be
fatal, yet he hasn't died, we consider that much a blessing. He is
currently in a stasis and we have no idea what will happen when he wakes
up, the wounds are still there which means if he wakes up he could
potentially die or he could survive the pain and live forever as a cursed
human."

I stood up and felt this odd urge to do something I had never done. I had
reached for a table with a bunch of medical equipment and grabbed the
nearest knife. "What are you doing?!" Josh rushed over and grabbed my hand
accidentally cutting himself while doing so. I felt my eyes narrow and he
suddenly flew back into the wall, as I started to move towards him when a
voice screamed in my head. 'THIS IS NOT WHO YOU ARE! STOP THIS AND DO WHAT
YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO!' I grabbed my head as it started pounding and felt my
focus shift from Josh to myself. I took the knife and cut along both my
hands' lifeline. When I finished I dropped the knife and held my hands out
in front of me.

I was shocked when a ball of light suddenly appeared and whispered to
me. "Who do you wish to save?" It asked in woman's voice purer than
anything I had ever heard.

"Aaron." I replied in a chocked up voice not sure what was going to happen.
Suddenly the ball took off and flowed through the door, I chased after it
feeling like I was supposed to follow it. It took me down winding hallways
and past people I had never seen before, each one looking as surprised as
the previous to see a boy chasing a white light. Suddenly it stopped in
front of a door and passed through it. I opened the door to see a dark room
with a floating body in the center. As I stepped closer I felt a scared,
angry, and confused presence. I noticed it was coming from the person and
as I stepped closer I saw it was Aaron. His face was horrific; it had the
biggest scar I had ever seen.

"Is this the one who you are choosing to save, your nephew? Is he truly
that important to you?" I stood there shocked.

"How did you know he was my nephew? And what are you?" I asked it. It was
almost as if it was a real person.

"Well I'm your guardian angel." It suddenly took the form of a beautiful,
yet terrifying, blond haired woman. She was wearing a white rob and emitted
a glow so bright that it could replace the sun. "I was assigned to guard
you once you were born to keep you safe and to instruct you in the ways of
light. As I have already figured out you have chosen this path, am I
correct?" I nodded. "Good, as for knowing he's your nephew, I know
everything you know. You and I are bound by the light, which you were born
into and all decisions must be made by both of us regarding your powers, so
I'll ask again. Do you truly wish to save him? I do not object for the
record but your heart has to be set on it, otherwise it will not work."

"I would do anything to save him, it's my fault he ended up like this in
the first place." I looked at him and started crying. My guardian angel
walked over and took my bloodied hands, and she moved them over to where
Aaron was floating. I started to feel my hands get warmer as they started
to glow.

"What's going on here?!" I stopped and looked around to see Josh standing
there.

I turned and looked at the woman and asked, "Can he see you?"

She smiled, "Only if you wish him to." I nodded and wished for it to be so
and Josh shrieked when he saw her. He fell to the floor in a bow and I was
quite shocked by this. She smiled and talked to him, "I know it's shocking
but don't be alarmed, I am not here to judge your kind, rather to aide in
your struggle." I was even more confused by this but she started leading my
hands over Aaron's body and I noticed that as they passed over his wounds,
they smoked and disappeared.

"What are you doing might I ask?" Josh had regained his composure and was
staring at the sight in front of him.

My angel spoke for me. "We are healing his nephew, now if you would be so
kind to not disturb us, as this is about to get difficult." As we moved
closer to his face I started to feel a resistance to our efforts. Once we
reached his face I felt a sudden pain in my chest. I looked at my angel for
comfort and she simply just shook her head. "This is supposed to be
painful, we are trying more than just healing him." I looked at here
confused. "You said you wanted to save him, did you not? That's exactly
what we are doing, saving him from a cruel life."

"That's impossible! Once a were-wolf is made there is no way to return him
to normal!" Josh shouted.

"By your standards yes, but not by that of angels, we have power designed
to fix what is broken. Yes you guys heal faster and can mend each other
quickly but only at the price of blood from others. His path as you know,
requires his own blood, it makes the power much stronger as he is willing
his own life to save, not someone else's. You guys live in between dark and
light, cast off by the dark, but not pure enough to be accepted by the
light. You can't sacrifice to save only kill, which weakens the potency of
your powers."

I started to feel even more pain as we got up to his eyes. They shot open
and had turned a bright orange as he screamed out. "Aaron!" I shouted
looking deep into his eyes, and as if time stopped we just looked at each
other.

'What's going on? Why are you here?' He had not moved his lips. I guessed I
had just read his thoughts.

"You're connection allows you two to share your thoughts now." My angel
spoke sounding comforted at the fact that we could do this. "Go ahead and
try"

'We are saving you Aaron. I'm so sorry for getting you involved in all of
this. I won't ask you for forgiveness, only acceptance.' I started
crying. He reached up his hand to my face.

'I'm not mad at you, I have always been there for you have I not?' He
screamed out in pain once again. 'Why do I feel so much pain?'

This time my angel answered him. "We are reverting your body back to
normal, it is supposed to hurt. You were freshly turned though, so it's
easier than it would normally be." He looked confused. Suddenly Josh
stepped in and explained everything to him.

We had finished healing his wounds and now worked on removing the curse. He
started screaming even more now and started thrashing in mid-air. "Aaron
it'll be over soon." I said trying to comfort him.

It was suddenly over and Aaron's body slowly fell to the ground. I fell to
my knees and set my hand on his heart, it wasn't beating. "Why don't I feel
anything?" The angel stood horrified at what she was looking at. It took me
a second realize that when Aaron had started thrashing, the knife which I
was still holding penetrated his skull. I stared into his lifeless eyes and
my heart sank.

"Austin, move out of the way." Josh spoke moving closer, and I saw the
intent he had in his eyes. Suddenly I snapped and I felt anger and a
protective urge wash over me. I turned my body to face him and crouched
over Aaron's body. I hissed and I looked at him with a deadly stare. He
backed away slowly. "How much longer would you say his nephew has?" He
asked this to the angel.

She sighed understanding the circumstances and what he was about to do. "He
has 30 minutes before he can't be turned. Exercise caution with bringing
his mate. The bond between family, blood or not, is strong and could
overpower that of love."

Josh ran out the room and returned after a bit with a man I had seen before
but was too enraged to care about. "Austin." He spoke my name calmly and
started to move closer. I felt my efforts weaken, but then Josh stepped
forward and I reverted back to my protective state. "Austin, look at me
please. He is only trying to help."

I growled and hissed once again. "Help?" My voice was not the same it had a
raspy and deep tone to it. "To go from one curse to another is what you
call help?" I stared the man down and once again felt my efforts
weaken. This time only the man walked forward and as he continued I
remembered what Josh had told me. "Maxon?" He started to cry as he fell to
his knees. I moved towards him a bit, and as I got closer I felt my
protective state start to dissipate. When I reached him he held out his
hand and touched my face. I melted, in that instant, into his arms.

"We don't have much time Maxon, you have to remove him. I want the
transformation to be as formal and comfortable as it can be." Josh started
to panic, as it had been 10 minutes already. I felt myself lifted by my
lover as he took me away from the area. When we left the room I broke into
tears over Aaron's death and hugged Maxon as tightly as I could. He brought
me to his room and laid me on his bed and got into it next to me.

I turned onto my side and faced the man who had stolen my heart. "Why is it
every time I see you, it's under circumstances of death and pain. You have
to experience too much for someone so beautiful." When he said these words,
I started crying harder than I had been previously. He grabbed me and held
me close to him. I looked into his eyes to see bright blue eyes, matching
my own, looking back at mine.

I moved up close to his face and placed my mouth on his. We kissed gently
like this for what felt like eternity. I broke the kiss and stared into his
eyes once again. "I love you. I know we don't know each other well, but I
don't want anyone else but you."

"I feel the exact same way." He hugged me and I started to fall asleep in
his arms thinking about Aaron, knowing what would happen, and feeling sorry
for hurting him twice.

I heard my guardian angel whisper to me before I fell off. "He will
survive, you might not recognize him at first, but he will go on. I'm sorry
I couldn't protect him in the first place. He doesn't blame you at all, he
knows that the first time was not your fault and he's already forgiven the
second time. Sleep tight." I felt a pair of lips kiss my forehead and a
warm hand close my eyes as I drifted off into sleep while in the protection
of my lovers arms.

**********************

Thank you for reading this new part. I really appreciate all the kinds
emails I've gotten so far. Please continue sending emails, as they are
wonderful to get and really make me happy. I'll address some things in this
little blurb for everyone. First of all, I have received some
recommendations to switch from a 1st person, multiple character setting, to
a full on 3rd person setting. I chose not to do this for this story since I
wanted to not only write a less sex-based story, but also a stylistically
different and artistic story. Second, I have been editing the story on my
own as of now since I have found it to be a more personal journey for me
and I don't want anyone in the way of that at the moment. Maybe in the
future if I lose time to edit I'll request for help but as of now, I will
remain to be the editor.

Involving the characters as of this point some changes will be made. Josh,
although he did have multiple points where you read from his point, will
continue on as a third person character. The guardian angel's name will be
revealed in the next part and she will continue on as an equal with
Austin. This means that she will sometimes appear as Austin's inner voice
as well as a third person character, but never will she ever be involved
outside of Austin's point, until a certain part of the story. Finally I
have limited myself to only 4 characters in 1st person. Those four are
Austin, Maxon, Chris, and Aaron. Occasionally a character other than those
four will appear in 1st person but only for a short while and only if their
section is crucial to the story.

Finally I have announcements for the future. I know I just started and I
shouldn't be thinking ahead as of now but I can't help it. I already know
how Corrupted Purpose will end and I would like to announce that if you are
enjoying it, there will be something special. I have written the first part
of a sequel but it will not be posted until the end of "Purpose". I have
also decided on an alternate reality to this story that would be as if
Austin did end up going with Chris. This has no definite date to be
released neither does it have a first part. I will decide what will happen
with it once I finish this one. Enjoy the rest of the story until then.
