================
INFORMATION

Before we begin, I'd like to explain a few mechanics of the version
of 'The World' that I am putting these characters into. So without
further ado:

================
MECHANICS OF 'THE WORLD'

So far you already know that:
* The CC Corporation is the creator of 'The World'. It's employees
maintain the innards of the game.
* Users have the ability to make custom characters through a program
downloaded from the CC's official website. This program is nearly
useless without completely reading the user's manual, which is the size
(and width) of a small boulder.

Fun new facts:
* Moderators can only maintain their own area. Example: If a mod is
appointed to watch over area 101, (the area where the user
warp gate is in the main town) their banning ability can only be used
in area 101.
* Administrators, on the other hand, are able to use their powers
anywhere they see necessary in the game. Along with being able to
ban, administrators can send system messages, which are displayed to
all users logged in, warp to any area in the game, and do much more
fun stuff which will be revealed later.

More in depth information:

* Senses
In 'The World,' the ability to feel in real life is factored into
the circuitry of the game. When logging into the game, and having the
headset properly secured, all brainwaves and activity are controlled
by the game.

Obviously, if you die in game, it does not kill you in real life, but
some pain is transferred to your real body. The main reason for this
is to encourage dedication to training your character to become stronger
and do better in the next battle.

On to the good stuff:

MOVEMENT: To move in 'The World' you do not physically walk wherever
you are in your current plane of existence. (:D) If you walk into a
wall, your going to log out to have some nasty marks. Instead,
thinking, that you are moving, makes you character move in the game.
The rate of speed that you are able to move depends on a certain stat
with your character the higher that stat, the faster you are able to
move.

PAIN: When fighting a monster in 'The World,' if you are struck, you
physically feel where you are struck. No marks are transferred to
your body, but the pain is transferred to your nerves. The user's
tolerance level is calculated upon performing the first-time body
check when registering an account and character.

SMELL: As in reality, scent can be an important sense to a person.
All item has been given a specific scent in 'The World' to keep the
game as real as possible.

TOUCH: As with smell, every item is given a special feeling.
Roughness, softness, and all that has been factored in.

SIGHT: When logging into 'The World' is completed, and the brain
handler starts to kick in, you eyes adjust to a sort of 'full screen
mode.' Instead of seeing a pixilated screen attached to a visor, your
eyes are fed realistic images.

HEARING: Standard with all games, the headset includes earpieces that
nestle firmly into your ears. These, though, go deeper than normal ear-
pieces. When logged in and everything is properly working, a probe
is launched from the headset that softly attaches to your eardrums
allowing realist hearing of events in game.

And, last and most important to these kind of stories...

PLEASURE: Anything that you would find pleasurable outside of the game
is calculated into your character when in 'The World.' All sexual
activities give the same, if not more, pleasure as they do in reality.
All senses are used in this to maximize the effect.

Chapter 2

Nikedemus walked out of the tavern and into the street feeling refreshed
and ready for anything. He walked along the stoney path looking down at
his paws. In a daze, he walked right into someone. Someone who had
just logged on, and had not seen the system message.

"Oh er, excuse me," stammered Nikedemus.

"What the fuck? You did not just walk into me," the man replied
arrogantly.

The user's class of choice was barbarian, as most stuck up people
looking for quick respect chose. He has the default appearance for
the class: Ragged brown hair with a scruffy beard. Mean looking deep
brown eyes that just _screamed_ for blood. To top it all off, he
had some menacing looking armor on with a broadsword drawn in his
hands.

"You want to take this out of town, little kitty?"

Nikedemus gave the man a fierce stare. "Oh, I'd love to. Lead the
way."

He was in no mood to act civilly. If the poor guy wanted to pick a
fight with a system administrator, that was his fault.

They walked out of town and into a PVP (person vs. person) field.
The man, once again, drew his sword, waiting for Nikedemus to make
a move.

The neko cocked his head to the side then muttered, "unequip all."
Instantly, there was a light flash and with that, Nikedemus stood
naked. His black fur blew gently in the breeze. The man looked
down to see Nikedemus's limp penis, similar to a human's, swaying
from side to side.

"I see how it is. Muscle against muscle, then? No magic," replied
the man.

There was another flash, as his clothes, armor and wapons dis-
appeared. He stood, flexing and stretching his biceps, making
a pathetic show of supposed superior strength. In response,
Nikedemus crouched and raised his arms into a on-guard state.
He closed his eyes and breathed deeply. This is just what he
needed to brush up his karate.

The man suddenly roared and started to run toward Nikedemus.
Right as he was about to land a punch, Nikedemus jumped. His
foot connected to the man's jaw with a loud pop. He spun and
smashed his left leg into the man's ribs. Another bone-cracking
sound arose. His opponent was immediately doubled over.

Nikedemus landed softly on the grass. He opened his eyes and
quietly asked, "do you surrender."

The only response he received was the sound of the man hitting
the ground, in an unconscious state. Nikedemus turned just in time
to watch his opponent's character fade out. A black haze surrounded
his body, working itself into every crevice. Nikedemus watched, as he
had done countless times before, as the mist dived into the man's
open, gasping mouth. His whole body tightened and faded in a static.

A bright message appeared in his place, reading:

Opponent Defeated
Total Damage Dealt: 1050
Damage Overkill by 800!

Smiling, Nikedemus resumed walking, a t-shirt and some baggy shorts
slipping onto his body in a wisp. As he neared town, he immediately
noticed a crowd of people. Chris stuck out with his custom character
like a meteor in the middle of a busy city. There was something wrong
though.

Then he saw it. There was a sorcerer standing over him casting a
high-level spell. Chris was in a sitting position against a building,
bleeding profusely out of his eyes. Everyone was completely silent
as the cleric went to work on Chris.

Nikedemus nearly ran up to the scene.

"If I may interrupt this ritual. What the _fuck_ is going on."

One of the men in the crowd turned to face Nikedemus. He cocked his
head as if quizzically, then said, "Initiation, Nick. You should know
best of all. I mean, you are an admin. He's decided to join The Order."

"But only upper level characters are eligible to join The Order."

"Scan him."

And he did, though he thought he could recall that just an hour ago
this boy was level 1, he scanned him again.

Jax - Level 89
Custom - Sorcerers
Registered: Today
Clan: The Order (Pending)

Nikedemus narrowed his eyes. Something was wrong. No one could level
up that quickly. But he held his tongue. Chris would explain it to him
when it was all over, he was sure. All he could do now was watch as
the violent initiation progressed.

Chris's eyes were glowing a bright red. He'd seen this kind of thing
before. The sorcerer was draining him of all life. He would only stop
when Chris was within an inch of his life.

Nikedemus focused his attention back to the situation at hand. Chris's
mouth dropped open. Blood trickled out of the corner. He looked so
relaxed. His head drooped forward, his hair falling over his eyes.
Then he suddenly screamed. It was a blood-curdling scream, a scream that
could break mirrors. Immediately, everyone took a step back. Chris
threw his head back, hitting the wall hard with it. The muscles in his
arms bulged. His face flushed as he snapped his mouth shut and gritted
his teeth. His eyes bulged, still glowing a fierce red. He clenched
his fists and kicked his heels into the ground, shaving layers off
of the loose rock.

The cleric spoke to one of the other people nearby: "Show his stats.
I need to know where we are. How is his magic holding out?"

The women he was talking to made a wave of her hand and a list of
statistics appeared over him. She picked a few out and enlarged them.

Health: 279/879
Mana: 0/3800

"His mana is gone. His shield is down. Roughly 300 H.P. left, sir."

Nikedemus could barely watch. The cleric tightened his hands up. The
beam of light grew wider as Chris gave another maddening scream.

"Now!"

Three men walked up to Chris as the torture stopped. They picked him
up, steadied him and stood in front of him, waiting.

Chris looked wearily at them. His eyes had returned to their normal
blue. The rest of the men moved in front of him. They all watched
intently on what Chris would do. Then, as if sensing what they wanted
of him, he put a hand up to his neck, flung his head back and heaved
all his might into his arm. His hand plunged into his throat. A
gurgling sound arose from his throat as blood seeped out of his
mouth again. He flew off the ground and crashed into the building
with a loud thud. He glowed a bright white. Feathers filled the
area. They gently flooded over Chris, healing his wounds.

"What's his health and mana?"

"Rising fast. H.P. is maxed. Mana rising above one thousand."

Then the feathers ceased. They fell to the ground and everyone looked
at each other. Nikedemus watched the feathers float to the ground and
disappear. He'd never seen this sort of thing happen out of all the
clan rituals he'd witnessed before. <Every case must be different,>
he thought to himself. He wanted to run to Chris, though. He just
yearned to hug kiss him better. But he knew he couldn't do that.
He had a reputation and he couldn't interrupt whatever was going on.

When he looked back up from the ground, Chris was getting to his feet.
He pried himself from the wall and jumped down. He still glowed a
bright white. A halo was quickly fading above his head.

The cleric approached him. "Congratulations," he said, extending his
hand to Chris, "Welcome to The Order."

Chris took the man's hand and shook it. They both smiled. Then,
without warning, all the men, including the cleric, disappeared. A
mail sign appeared over Chris's head as he collapsed on the ground.
Only then, did Nikedemus run to Chris and kneel beside him.

"Are you all right," he asked putting a hand on Chris's back.

"Yeah. Just... Tired I guess."

"That's understandable. After what I just saw happen, you must be."

Nikedemus helped Chris to his feet. They walked into town, not
saying a word.
