........................................................................

Greg woke and felt the soft curves of Jessica, or Jess as she liked to be
known. Greg looked at the attractive women he had hooked up with at the
beginning of uni. Jess was easy to get along with and fun to be around.
If Greg was honest with himself he knew she was far easier to date then
Pete. Greg shied away from thinking about Pete it had been eight months
since he had seen or heard from him. More importantly he was still not
sure how the formal had ended.

Greg stood and left the room he needed to use the bathroom. Jessica
watched Greg leave. She knew that he was hung up on someone else, but
still she was happy with how things were. Jessica hoped that whoever the
girl had been that Greg was hung up on didn't return. She felt that given
enough time Greg would come to love her.

Greg looked in the mirror he had a classically handsome face, and neatly
cut light brown hair. He splashed water onto his face and went back to his
room. He re-entered as Jessica was stretching. He grinned as the sheet
had slipped down to her waist. "Perve", Jessica smiled as Greg checked her
out. "You know it", Greg Laughed. He had been thinking about returning to
bed and skipping his early lecture. However he knew that if his grades
slipped his parents would want him to move back home. "I'm heading for a
shower, when do you start today", he asked grabbing his towel and other
toiletries. Jessica yawned and lay back down in the bed. "I don't, I may
not move today", Greg just grinned at her as he left.

.........................................................................

Jess was sitting in the little living room of the unit that Greg's parents
rented for him. She had noticed that Greg had left his phone when he had
gone to uni that mourning. She sat trying to study when it went off again.
She looked over at the vibrating phone and rolled her eyes. Who ever had
been calling Greg had been doing so all day. Jess put her text aside and
walked over to the phone in frustration. She had picked it up to answer it
just to tell who ever was calling that Greg had left his phone at home.

As she picked it up it stopped. The message read that Little One had
called and had not left a message. Jess was about to put the phone down
again when another message from Little One came through. Jess hesitated
for a moment before opening it:

Hi Greg, I understand if you don't want to talk
But could you call me back as soon as you can
	Love always Pete.

Jess reread the message, more importantly the name. She reasoned to
herself that it wasn't unheard of for a girl to be called Pete. However
being naturally curious and a bit of a snoop Jess went into Greg's photos.

She quickly found a folder that had been titled little one. She was
stunned not to find photos of a girl. Instead she found a lot of photos of
smiling boy with long black hair. The boy she assumed was Pete was
beautiful there was no other way of describing him. Jess could see why he
was called little one. There were some photos with other guys, all very
attractive. However Pete was by far the most attractive and shortest.
Jess shook her head. She had always thought she would be able to compete
with Greg's ex. Looking at the photos she just shook her head there was no
chance. Jess quickly sent a text saying to meet at the park entrance to
the university. She knew she couldn't compete but still wanted to meet
this Pete.

.........................................................................

Pete put his phone down. It had taken the better part of the day to get
Greg to respond. However persistent had worked. "He agreed to see you",
Derik said encasing Pete in his big arms. Pete nodded and tilted his head
up for a kiss. The five of them had become much closer since the reforming
of the circle. Pete had now slept with all of his Elementals on more than
one occasion but always one on one. As a result, all of his Elementals had
no problem displaying their love and sexual attraction to Pete. However
they all respected the fact that Pete wanted Greg. They were also happy
that Pete never interfered with their own relationships with each other.

"Are you pair going to come up for air", Bren asked laughing as he entered
the living room in the large inner city apartment that Pete's family owned.
Pete had informed his circle that his family actually owned ten floors of
the high rise apartment tower. When asked how his family had afforded it
Pete had shrugged and said old money and left it at that. "You're just
jealous that I have him and not you", Derik said with a cocky grin. Bren
glared at the pair for a moment before he pulled Pete to him and promptly
kissed him. "Nope, can't say that I am", he said grinning at his partner.
"Did you get hold of Greg little one", Bren asked. Pete nodded. Bren
smiled and hugged Pete tighter.

........................................................................

Jess approached Pete. He looked exactly the same as he had in the photos.
"You're Pete right", Pete looked at the slender women and nodded. It didn't
take him long to realise that she had set him up. "I'm guessing you're
with Greg now. I will give you a bit of advice he hates when people snoop
around in his stuff". Pete looked at the women calmly. "You came for a
reason I assume". Jess looked at Pete's calm expression. "I wanted to see
who my competition was", Pete laughed at her response. "I'm not a rival
mine and Greg's relationship had a time limit that we both agreed on before
we started".

Jess looked at Pete a little startled at his revelation. "So why are you
here", Pete looked away with a frown. "I can't really tell you, would you
like to go for a walk", Jess nodded seeing no problem with a walk. "Let me
just tell my friends", Jess looked around and saw a group of four eighteen
year olds watching them.

Pete walked over to the others. "Greg's close by, I can't describe it but
it's like I can feel him". The others nodded they all had a sense of Greg
being nearby. "We will find him", Si said. Bren Jim pulled Pete into a
hug. "Give her hell little one", Pete grinned at what Jim was telling him
to do. "You know I won't do that mine and Greg's relationship ended. He
had every right to be with her". Jim nodded, however they could all see
the sadness in Pete's eyes. It had been clear to them all that Pete had
hoped Greg would want him back. "Go on we will find him", Bren said pushing
him back toward Jess.

Jess watched the exchange between Pete and the other four. It was clear to
her that they were all very close. "Come on I feel like walking by the
river", Pete said as he walked back to Jess. Jess watched the others walk
into the uni grounds. "Where are they off to"? She asked as Pete turned
to walk into the inner city botanical gardens. "They are off to find your
boyfriend. I really do need to talk to him". Jess looked at the sixteen
year old she was amazed at how well he was taking her turning up. "So you
already knew about me", Jess asked. Pete smiled and shook his head. "I
had no idea. However we are talking about Greg. I would have been more
surprised if he hadn't met someone new". Jess saw that although Pete was
calm, he was also upset.

"I always knew there was someone else. Admittedly I had not thought it
would be a guy", Jess smiled indicating they should sit on a bench. "I was
rather surprised as well", Pete grinned. The pair sat making small talk.
It was clear to Jess that Pete wasn't going to tell her anything about why
he wanted to see Greg. Greg watched the water and felt a small part of him
crying out in pain, Greg had moved on as he was supposed to.

.....................................................................

Greg left his lecture shoving his notes into the bag he carried. He wasn't
really paying attention to where he was going. So when he ran into Derik's
large chest he was startled. "I'm so sorry I wasn't", he stopped his
apology as he saw who he had run into. "No harm done Greg. You running
into us saves us looking for you". Greg looked around and saw, Bren, Si
and Jim. He was disappointed that Pete wasn't with them. "Where's Pete"?
He had asked before thinking, for some reason he had always expected to see
them all together. Bren chuckled placing his arm across Greg's shoulders.
"Pete is currently entertaining your girlfriend".

Greg wasn't sure how he felt about, Jess and Pete talking. "How did they
meet"? He asked frowning. "Someone apparently forgot their phone today",
Si said with a grin. Greg groaned Jess had snooped in his phone. "Well in
all honesty who wouldn't get curious about a person who had called a dozen
times?" Jim grinned at the pained expression on Greg's face. Greg looked
at the four, they all looked good. "So why are you here", Si raised an
eyebrow at his question, indicating he thought the question was stupid.
"Pete wants to talk to you", Jim said giving his partner a look that told
Si to quit it.

Greg didn't know how he felt about seeing Pete again. However he let the
others lead him to where Pete was.

...........................................................................

Pete felt the others getting closer. He knew they would only come to find
him if they had found Greg. "I'm sorry about this, you seem really nice".
Jess looked at Pete and tried to smile. She had been right Pete wasn't
competition. She looked over to where Pete was looking and saw Greg. Greg
didn't see her. The only person he saw was Pete. Pete stood and waited
for Greg to approach.

Greg looked at Pete, his hair had grown again. Other than that he was
exactly the same as the day they had met. Greg stopped just in front of
Pete. Pete couldn't look Greg in the eye. Instead he was staring at their
feet. Greg smiled and stepped closer lifting Pete head up and placing his
arms around him. "Greg, I'm so sorry, I couldn't stay". Greg placed his
lips on Pete's effectively shutting him up. Pete's eyes went very wide as
Greg picked him up and swung him around. Pete laughed and hugged Greg
tighter as he was put back down.

Jess watched the pair and couldn't help but smile. She was disappointed
but still it was clear the Pete was the one Greg loved. "Have they always
been like this", Jess asked the other four. They all nodded. Jess smiled,
"Well I think I should get my stuff from Greg's place". Greg turned at
hearing Jess say she needed to get her stuff. He looked at Pete who just
indicated he should talk to her. The pair moved away a little. Bren put
his arms around Pete as they watched the pair.

"Jess I'm really sorry, I never thought I would see him again". Jess
looked over at Pete and wasn't surprised to see the love the other four had
for the little guy. "I always knew that there was someone else Greg. You
never came right out and said it but I knew. I'm surprised it's a sixteen
year old guy. Now I'm just going to go to the unit and collect the few
things I have there". Greg nodded realising that Jess had already accepted
the situation. "I will see you around Jess", Greg said giving her a final
hug. Jess nodded and tried to smile.

"We will be at the apartment when you guys are done catching up", Jim said
with a grin as he and the others made a move to leave. Pete nodded happy
that he would have this one last time to be normal with Greg. "You guys
seem even closer", Greg said as he and Pete started to walk back toward the
uni. "We are but I will explain after you have taken me out to dinner".
Greg stopped and turned so he was facing Pete straight on. "I will only
take you to dinner if you promise not to leave like you did last time".
Pete felt the tears well up in his eyes. Greg reached out and gently wiped
them away. "I won't not this time", was all Pete could say.

............................................................................

The dinner had been perfect. Greg felt that it had been enough time for
Jess to get her stuff out of his unit. Pete had invited Greg to stay will
him so that he could explain everything. Greg had agreed however he wanted
to stop at his unit to pick a few things up. The unit was dark when they
entered. Pete felt a chill as Greg tried the lights and they didn't work.
"Do you have a torch anywhere close by", Pete asked. He could sense
something wasn't right.

"Well if it isn't little Peter, you resurfaced around your pet normal how
predictable". Pete knew the cold voice was Richards. "What do you
Richard"? There was the sound of movement and a cold chuckle. "Well at
first I just wanted to get rid of you. Unfortunately your meddling mother
stepped in first". Pete felt his anger rise he had suspected Richard had
been behind the attack that killed his first Elementals and his parents
circle. "And then there was that annoying Earth Elemental that helped you
survive. And last the pretty little dance you were all dressed up for.
You killed one of my better teams that night". Richard said this all in a
cold calculating way.

Greg turned to Pete in confusion. Pete pleaded with Greg with his eyes not
to question anything yet. "What a surprise it was you that turned my life
to shit. Well tried to anyway. What brings you here now Richard? Or is
this just another of your pointless social visits". Pete could tell he had
hit a nerve When Richard used a Fifth skill referred to as illuminate. The
room was flooded with a pale light. Pete got his first good look at
Richard. Richard was a tall blond that appeared about twenty. He also had
very cold blue eyes. Eyes that were glaring at Pete with hate.

"Jess", Greg gasped seeing his girlfriend lying on the floor out cold and
naked. "What did you do to her", he demanded of Richard. Richard just
laughed still thinking Greg was nothing more than a normal. "Don't worry
little boy your girlfriend won't remember but you will". Pete watched
unable to stop Richard from forcing a corrupted fire and air elemental
spirits into Jess. Jess was a stunning woman with long hair and ample
curves. As the elemental spirits possessed her curves only became more
seductive. Her skin smoother her hair more vibrant. And then the wings
appeared they were made of air and fire. If Jess had been doll size people
would have thought her a fairy. As it was she looked like a winged elvan
princess.

Greg stared at his former in shock. He couldn't believe what he was
seeing. "Well what I came here for seems to not be here. So I'm just
going to leave her here for you to deal with. It's a pity you're just with
your little normal and not your Circle Peter". Richard laughed and misted
away leaving a frustrated Pete and a confused Greg. "Greg you need to
trust me", Greg nodded, "You need to get out of here as soon as you can".
Greg felt as if Pete had given him these instructions before. "Please Greg
this time just do as I ask". Greg stared into Pete's eyes and remembered
the night of the formal. He remembered trying to help Pete and the cold
sound of Richards voice. He also remembered taking a blow that should have
killed him. "Please Greg just run", Greg nodded not hesitating this time.

Pete looked at what had once been Jess. He sighed he had liked the girl
and wasn't sure if he could save her. There was a hiss from the creature
as it spotted Pete. It produced a fire ball and threw it at Pete. It was
clear that the elemental spirits were not happy to be trapped inside of
Jess. Pete focused on the fire element first it was clearly the more
dominant or at least the more aggressive.

Pete attacked with ice. He was running with the theory if he used enough
ice it would put the fire out and make it impossible for the creature to
fly as there would be ice on its wings. What he would have liked to use
was elemental blast, however he was worried that would kill Jess. As he
focused he missed jumping out of the way of a large fire ball that hit him
in the back. He was quick enough to put a barrier of air between it and
his skin.

The fight was bad, Pete realised there was little chance of him wearing the
creature down enough to use cleansing light. Pete ran he had little other
choice. As soon as he was outside he spotted Greg still waiting for him.
"Greg you were supposed to go", Pete yelled feeling panicked. The Jess
creature burst out the door. Pete groaned how were they supposed to keep
that contained and hidden from the normals. Greg pulled Pete out of the way
of another fire ball that had been headed toward him. "Thank you that
could have been bad", Greg nodded once looking at the creature.

"So what do we do", Pete had no idea what they could do. There was no way
the others could get to them in time. And the longer they were out in the
open the worse things could get. Pete looked at Greg and knew there was
only one thing he could do. "I'm sorry Greg I wanted to explain things
first". Greg looked at Pete still confused and frightened at what he was
seeing. Pete took Greg's hands and lent in for a kiss. It would be their
last normal kiss. Pete formed the same bond he had with the others. Only
it was different this time, Pete wasn't sure how he just knew it was.

"Ok what I need you to do is not fight me", Greg was confused by Pete's
statement until he felt Pete in his head. Pete had never worked through
one of his Elementals before. He had however studied how it was done.
With the added power from Greg, Pete was able to use a double attack. He
used stone and ice encasement. Pete was felling the cost on his power to
work through Greg. It was draining him rapidly. Still he felt it was time
to try cleansing light. Pete was so relieved to see it working.

The two elemental spirits left Jess and vanished clearly still pissed at
being used. Pete watched as Tiff slumped to the ground. Greg ran to her
to make sure she was alright. Pete was happy to see that the fight had not
been witnessed by anyone and that the only evidence was the door that Jess
had burst out of.

To be continued
