Subject: hero in love part 16

Sorry this took so long. I've been distracted!!! But BIG NEWS!! *Dances
around*, a nice reader, told me my story was COMIC WORTHY!!! I FEEL SO
SPECIAL!! And it makes sense too, because I'm ADHD... and for the most
part, you all get the dialog...but you can't see what I see... :( and I
tend to get bored with fluff.

Anyway...

Chapter 16.

"Kyle?" Jason said, as he suddenly spied Kyle in the crowd. "
KYLE!!" he yelled again, this time more sure of the dark head of hair.

"Jason??" Kyle yelled back, running across the tarmac to the
hospital playground. Where had he been? Jason had been worried, but had
been too busy taking charge of the kids to be able to look for him. Connor
had been nice and stayed behind to help, along with Michelle and Alex.

"Where have you been?" Jason asked. Kyle replied by scooping Jason
into his arms and before Jason knew what was going on, they were kissing.
It only took Jason a moment to respond, running his hands up Kyle's back as
they embraced. Oh, it was nice to know Kyle was ok. And he was now here,
safe, in Jason's arms.

"They are so cute!!" Michelle squealed, interrupting their kiss.

"If you say so," Connor drawled, looking slightly uncomfortable
while Alex just smiled.

Kyle sat down with the rest of the group, glad he'd only had to
clean up two other sites. From what he could make out, some kind of missile
testing had gone wrong, and random missiles had touched down all over the
Midwest US. Well not ALL over; there had only been 5 sites...and only 3 of
them had involved people.

But Kyle really needed to figure out a way to maintain this super
hero thing. And he definitely needed a name, which is what they were
talking about right now.

"Dude. I can't believe he doesn't have a name yet," Connor
laughed.

"Hey. I bet it's hard. He's only been, like, doing this for
like...what? A week or so?" Jason defended. Kyle had been about to say
something, but it was nice to hear Jason say it for him.

"Still, you'd think he'd come up with a name before he started,"
Connor argued.

"I think he should go with blue something," Michelle said off
handedly. That's what Kyle had wanted but, like the websites said, that
would be stupid.

"But how obvious is that?" Alex commented, bouncing a child on her
lap.

"I wike you," one little boy said, who could somewhat talk. Kyle
picked him up and sat him on his lap.

"I like green," Kyle said, knowing how much children liked to be
involved. Having a young 3 yr old cousin had given him some good practice.

"What are those?" another boy said, pointing. Kyle and the others
looked to where he directed them and saw TV vans pulling into the Hospital
parking lot. Kyle wondered why it had taken them so long to get here.
Normally they were faster.

"Those are TV Vans. They are here to report about the hospital."
Michelle said, leaning against Connor for support. Kyle was pretty sure
the two of them were going to end up going together. Connor was laid back,
and seemed like he'd be good with her.

The group of young people watched as the news reporters set up
cameras and equipment, while an obnoxious news reporter tried to interview
what looked to be very busy doctors.

"Think she'll find someone to talk to?" Connor asked. It looked as
if it was going to be awhile before she found someone important to talk to.
But apparently that didn't mean she couldn't interview bystanders, because
the teens suddenly found the camera crews driving a straight line towards
them.

Kyle had dealt with being on TV once, but the others had no clue.
"So how did you become the unofficial children helper?" the reporter asked,
interrupting his thoughts. Kyle had kinda dumped it on Jason, when he'd
brought him the first disheveled, but ok, child. After that...well, it had
gotten out of control.

Connor took control as Jason looked flustered. "It was him,"
Connor said, nudging Jason who was trying to hide behind Kyle. "I came
here from my house after I heard the explosion. I was worried `bout my baby
brother," he explained.

"So it was you?" the reporter asked, looking at Jason as he
nervously brushed hair out of his face. Jason bounced a child on his lap,
almost trying to use it as a shield. Kyle smiled.

"Yeah. That super kid pulled this baby from the mess over there,
and handed it to me.... because I wasn't busy," he shrugged. Kyle stroked
Jason's back, pulling Jason into his side. The reporter raised an eyebrow.

"And do these parents know that you are watching their children?"
she asked.

"Well the ones that CAME do," Alex said, sounding a little ticked.
Kyle was beginning to like Alex. She had guts, and more guts than a lot of
guys did.

"Excuse me?" the reporter said, moving her microphone to the
slightly angry Alex.

"Well, the adults are all too busy dealing with the injured. So we
are taking care of the left over children; well the ones nobody wanted to
watch," Alex explained, bouncing a child on her lap.

"I see. And nobody objects to you?" She gestured at Kyle and
Jason, who were still holding each other. Objects to what? If Kyle was
getting her message right....

"What do you mean? Nobody else wanted to help. They just carted
away the newborns, and left us with these kids," Michelle defended. Kyle
would have said something...but he was afraid he might actually blow up.

"Well, yes I can see that, but..."

"But what?" Alex asked again. None of the boys wanted to say
anything. The girls were going to handle this just fine.

"I CANNOT BELIEVE THE WOMAN SAID THAT!!" Jason said later as they
spooned on Kyle's bed. Jason shivered as Kyle ran his hand gently across
Jason's chest.

"I can. Alex and Michelle sure laid into her. What I can't
believe is that they aired the whole thing," Kyle said thoughtfully,
breathing into Jason's hair. Jason loved being held like this.

"Yeah." They'd caught the replay on the 6 o'clock news, and it had
been hilarious. Someone had decided to play the whole thing, with Alex and
Michelle basically ripping the news reporter a new one for suggesting that
Kyle and Jason weren't good babysitters because they were gay. Jason
hadn't caught on at first, but afterwards he'd been really angry. It's not
like anybody else volunteered. They ended up staying a good several hours

This of course had sparked more controversy, which was really
starting to bother Jason. Somehow, lately, everything big had turned into a
gay rights issue.

"You know...I didn't think this would be the way we would come out
to the world," Kyle said, bucking his crotch gently against Jason's soft
butt. It was true. They'd seen themselves on TV holding each other, while
Alex and Michelle were ranting against the reporter. Jason thought he'd
held himself pretty well, even if he looked sort of pale. The cool thing
was, he'd downloaded the video clip and then linked it on several of his
sites dedicated to the super kid.

"Hey... did you know that kid still doesn't have a name?" Jason
asked.

"No. It really didn't come up. He was busy saving me." Kyle
laughed, rubbing Jason's arm. Jason liked the way Kyle had started being
really touchy feely; he needed it.

"I guess so. What do you think?" Jason asked. He'd been mulling
over in his mind the idea of a super hero name for this boy ever since it
had come up again.

"Huh? I think I was being saved," Kyle laughed, slipping his hand
once again onto Jason's chest. Jason could feel the way Kyle's body shook
as he giggled.

"I meant about a name," Jason explained, nudging Kyle with his
elbow.

"Oh. I don't know. Sky something?" Kyle suggested. Sky, Jason
thought; that could fit.

"Maybe. He does have that blue aura. Sky aura?"

"Nah. Sky... fighter? Sky Knight? Something fighterish." Hmm,
Jason thought, that might be cool too.

"Maybe. The Internet is still polling on names. That one site, you
know; they had blue rush."

"Oh yeah. I kinda liked that," Kyle said, now stroking Jason's
nipple. Jason felt a nice sensation drifting throughout his body.

"I don't know; Blue seems so unoriginal," Jason said. Blue, along
with standard colors were everywhere. Green lantern. Yellow Canary. Well
he couldn't think of anything else, but still.

"I guess. What else? Something rush?" Kyle asked. Rush. Jason
thought that could fit; the kid was rushing everywhere.  He was WAY fast;
probably superman fast.

"Well, everyone keeps calling him the kid... or kid," Jason said
thoughtfully. "What about Kid Rush? I wanna post that later." Jason
liked it.

"Yeah. You should. I'll vote on it too," Kyle said. "Wouldn't it
be cool if he saw it and used it?"

"Sure would; but I don't think he has time to look at his fan
sites."

"I wonder how he does school. And what about a family?" Kyle
added. That was true. If this kid WAS pulling a comic book super hero
thing, where did he live? Where did he go to school?

"I don't know; I bet it would be hard to keep that a secret from
everybody."

"Yeah. Like Clark Kent." Kyle replied.

To be continued.

Sorry about the wait. But the next chapter will be faster!! Why?
Cuz it's going to be a MONTAGE!!! (I hope I spelled that right). Everybody
needs a montage.... even rocky had a montage. Right? For those of you who
have no clue what I'm talking about... go rent or buy Team America. It's
funny. And for those of you who don't want to... here's the joke. A
montage is a movie thing where they show the person training... and getting
better...over time...but in just tiny little pieces, so that way... they
can cut directly to the important part. WHEE!!

again Im sorry about the uh... time. its just that school and some
work.. and thinking adn my boyfriend and WOW. (world of warcraft) add up to
not much time to think.
