Subject: hero in love 21

I have been notified that I don't have sex in my story. So I want to ask
everyone... I really need some votes here... who wants some full-on
sex... and who wants to see more of an allusion to sex? More about this at
bottom.

Hero in Love

Chapter 21

Awake? Awake? But... but... Rick felt his insides slump. How was
he supposed to get close to Jason? Jason... that perfect boy. Kyle didn't
deserve Jason. Not one bit. All the lies, all the ducking around, all the
avoiding. And then to find out Kyle was Kid Rush?

It wasn't fair!! Rick screamed to himself, as he followed the
others up to Kyle's room. Jason was so perfect, so gentle, so caring. Why
couldn't he have someone? He wanted Jason. And how was he supposed to get
with Jason, with Kyle being the way he was?

That made it worse. How could he compete with that? He'd tell
Kyle's secret. That would definitely make him have to move, but
then... Jason would be angry with him. Rick didn't want that. It wasn't
fair. Why couldn't Rick meet someone? He wanted a boyfriend.

**************

Jason looked at the teen boy in the bed. He had two IV's running
to his wrists, and machines beeped quietly as they worked.

"Honey," Kyle's mom exclaimed, "I was so worried!!" she said,
sitting down next to the bed.

Alex spoke up then. "Maybe we should give them some time," she
said, pushing them back into the hallway. Yeah, that was probably a good
idea.

"But I want to know why he didnâ^À^Ùt' tell us about the..." Rick
found himself with a hand over his mouth, courtesy of Josh.

"Shh!!" Josh said. What the? Anger crept up Jason's spine. A
feeling he hadn't felt in a long time. What did Rick think he was doing?

"What the crap Rick!" Jason said angrily. " You can't just say
stuff like that out loud. If the wrong people heard..."

"Come on, we can visit in the waiting room," Alex said, dragging
them down the hallway.

****************

"So they think I'm under fed?" Kyle asked, feeling strange. What
did she know?

"Well, not anymore. After they installed the second drip, you
started showing improvement." Kyle wondered how he was going to tell his
mother that he was Kid Rush. Or that the others had already found out
after he'd fainted. What if they already told her?

"Is there something your not telling me?" she asked gently. Uh oh.
Maybe she did know. Kyle tried to keep his face innocent, but his mother
knew him too well.

"If there's anything you want to tell me, I won't be mad. If you
need help, we'll get it," she offered. What? Did she think he was on
drugs or something?

"It's not drugs mom," he explained impatiently. How could she
think that? He wouldn't do anything like that, let alone know where to get
it. And none of his friends would do it either.

"But the doctors found traces of..." she trailed off, sounding
confused. Traces of what? He didn't do drugs. What the fuck was she
talking about? "Your not lying to me are you?" she asked seriously.

"NO!! Now what are you talking about? Traces of what?" he asked.
He wanted to know what was going on.

"Traces of a foreign substance in your blood," she replied,
sounding cross. What? Why would he have traces of foreign substance?

	"What is it?" he asked.

"You tell us. The doctors don't know what it is," she said,
sounding serious. "We want to help you honey." But... But... Was it
something to do with his powers? He hadn't had a blood test for a long
time now.

"I want to know what this stuff is too, " Kyle replied
finally. "But there IS something I need to tell you," he added. But how do
you tell your mother youâ^À^Ùre a super hero?

His mother sat relaxed, but he could tell all her attention was on
him. "Go ahead honey."

	"I'm Kid Rush."

******************

Well now what? What will happen!??? Only the author knows!! Find
out... next time on hero in love!! Or, you can just keep going on
down... and read more. ROFL.

Jason sat with the others in the waiting room, wishing they could
speak. Another family was already waiting; something about an injured
mother. Stupid people. They needed to talk about this Kid Rush thing!!
Jason was still angry at Rick. How could he just say something like that
out loud?

Finally, he'd had enough. "I'm going to go see if they are done
talking," he said, standing up.

"She deserves some time alone with him. Just give her a little
space,â^À^Ý Alex said. "Tell him Rick." She looked at Rick who was
sitting sullenly in the corner.

"Huh?" Rick looked up. Jason did not want to look at Rick right
now. Stupid fucking idiot.

"Why? I'm just going go see if they are done with personal stuff,"
Jason responded, then headed out the door before Alex could stop him. He
sure hoped that Kyle had already told his mother about the Kid Rush thing.
Maybe he should be there when Kyle told her the news.

************************

"Excuse me?" she said. Kyle let out his breath, not realizing he'd
been holding it. Now what?

"I'm, well, I'm Kid Rush," he said again. Maybe this time she
would get it.

"Stop joking honey. This is serious," She replied. Oh oh. And
that was her serious voice. Maybe she did get it.

"I am being serious. I'm Kid Rush, and I think fainting may have
something to do with my... well, my powers," he said, wondering if he
sounded as lame as he thought he did.

"Maybe the fainting affected you more than we thought dear. I know
you THINK youâ^À^Ùre Kid Rush, but..." she trailed off. Kyle had cut to
the chase and powered up his hand. The energy flow was getting better now.
A lot better. It was hardly anything to just think power and his hand had
ignited, the blue aura lighting the room.

"Oh dear," she said, sitting back. But to her credit, she didn't
faint, or scream, like most girls seemed to do.

"All those weird cover-ups, the skipping out unexpectedly, I
thought for sure you were doing something bad..." she said, tears in her
eyes. Really? But then why wasn't she more...nosy?

	"But..."he protested. "You... I mean..."

"Your father trusted you. He felt like you needed your privacy."
She explained, correctly interpreting his stammers.

"Oh." Wow. His father was that cool? He hadn't realized it.

"I can't say I'm excited to hear that you've been flying around in
the sky. Isn't it cold?" she asked worriedly. Kyle had to hold back a
laugh.

"Nah. The aura thing... it protects me," he explained. "But I've
been having these dreams..." Kyle began. This was going to be a long
story.

*******************

Jason crept in, wondering if they were done talking. "So I was
dreaming..." Oh. The dreams.

Kyle paused as Jason walked in. His mother looked at Jason
quizzically.

"Don't blame him Mom. He found out the day I fainted," Kyle
explained. She nodded, looking as if she didn't quite know what to say.
Jason didn't know what to say either.

"Look. Get the others will you Jason?" Kyle asked him. "I'd
rather not have to explain this more than once."

"Explain what, Mr. Raven?" Oh great. It was that stupid doctor
Cook. A rather normal sized man, he had brown hair, and looked to be in
his 40's.

"Why I fainted," Kyle replied. "I don't know exactly why. But I'm
NOT taking drugs." You tell him Kyle, Jason thought.

"Well Jason," the doctor said, looking at him, "I have some private
things to discuss with Mrs. Raven," he said, disgustingly nice. "So if you
could do me a favor and run along, I'll send a nurse to come get you when
we are through."

"No," Mrs. Raven said, her voice quiet, yet sharp. "Jason can hear
whatever it is you have to say, Doctor." The doctor sighed in response,
running a hand through his hair. Suddenly he seemed less uptight and just
more tired. He sat in a chair, and then spoke.

"We'll, we've run a full battery of tests from the blood samples
we've taken, and most everything seems to be within normal limits. It's
just that we have found traces of an unidentified substance in Kyle's blood
stream," the doctor explained.

"At first we thought it was drugs. But that proved to be wrong, as
the samples don't match anything in the federal data base."

"So I can go home?" Kyle asked hopefully. Jason wanted Kyle to
come home too. He missed his boyfriend.

"Yes. We really have no reason to keep you here; it's just that
we'd like to get more samples of your blood, if you'd be willing to come
back occasionally." The doctor was now being very polite. Jason hoped they
weren't going to get weird about it. He'd watched a lot of movies, and
doctors seemed to get weird when interesting abnormal things happened.

"Great. Sure Iâ^À^Ùll come back. I just want to go home," Kyle
said happily.

"Yes, well, we'd like to keep you overnight, just in case," the
doctor added. Kyle's mother still hadn't said much. Jason wondered what
her thoughts were.

"Mom... make him listen! I don't want to be here," Kyle whined.
Jason had to hold back a laugh. A super hero whining to his mother. That
was funny.

"Maybe it's best dear. What if you faint again?" she replied
calmly. Jason was impressed with how well she was taking everything. And
maybe it was best for Kyle to be in the hospital one more night.

"I really would like to see you one more night here Kyle," the
doctor said. Jason wasn't sure what he thought about the man. He did seem
like he knew what he was talking about, except for this mysterious stuff in
Kyle's blood. Jason wondered if it had something to do with his powers.

"Maybe you should stay Kyle," Jason said, now holding Kyle's hand.
Kyle jerked his hand back, a look of horror and confusion on his face.
"She already knows," Jason explained with a huge grin, grabbing his
boyfriend's hand again.

"Oh." Kyle replied to the smiling face of his mother, and the
attentive look of the doctor.

"I hate to sound rude or prying, but if you two have been, shall we
say, active..." the doctor trailed off at the looks the two boys and the
mother gave. "Well, itâ^À^Ùs just that this substance in Kyle's blood. It
had to have come from somewhere. I only thought..."

"Jason and I haven't done anything yet, other than kissing," Kyle
admitted, his face blushing. "Jason didn't want to move too fast, and I
didn't want to pressure him." Jason wasn't sure, but it seemed as if there
was something slightly bitter in Kyle's tone.
The doctor didn't seem too convinced. "Well Kyle, I'd like to
recommend that you refrain from being sexually active until we can identify
this substance."
"Can we stop talking about sex now? I'm not having any for a long
time anyway," Kyle said, now obviously annoyed. Oh great. Now Jason knew
that Kyle was angry at him. Jason wanted to be close with Kyle; he wanted
to have sex with him. It was just...
"Well, I guess there is no reason to test your friend then," the
doctor replied, although Jason wasn't sure he believed them. "Now, we'll
get the papers signed and you can be on your way tomorrow."
************************
Kyle could not wait until after the doctor left. Stupid
doctor. making him wait tell tommorrow to leave. and then making him wait
to have his conversation. And then bringing up sex. " Look Mom, I'm sorry I
didn't tell you, you either Jason." Kyle began. "I didn't want anybody to
worry."
"It's just so hard to swallow. My son... My son is a super hero!!"
she exclaimed. Kyle wasn't sure if she was happy or worried. But he was
more concerned about Jason.
"Come on Jason, talk to me," Kyle said. Jason had seemed aloof
once the doctor had left, sitting in his chair with his arms folded around
his waist. Great. Jason was angry about him not saying anything about
being super.
"Look, why donâ^À^Ùt I let you two talk," Kyle's mom said. "I just
have to let this sink in.,â^À^Ý she said, as she got up and left. But on
the way out, she ran into the others who'd been sent in by the nurse.
"Go ahead. I just need some air," Kyle heard her say to the others
as they filed in the room. So â^À" heâ^À^Ùd asked for it and now it was up
to him to try to explain everything and still get Jason to really
understand how he felt about him. Steven and Josh looked concerned and
confused, Rick look irritated, and Jason was still angry with him.
	"I'm sorry I didnâ^À^Ùt' tell you earlier. I just... I don't
know,â^À^Ý he said, feeling kinda of awkward in his bed and only wearing
the hospital gown.
"I think I speak for all of us when I ask why are you fainting for
no reason?" Rick said, with Steven and josh muttering their agreement.
"It sounds stupid to me, when I think about the reason, so I wonder
if you'll believe me." Kyle began. "I think... the planet is talking to
me. I keep having these dreams that started back in September about
something huge in the sky. And they just kept happening, over and over.
Then this voice started talking to me, started trying to explain that I
would need to stop this invasion thing." Kyle sipped at his water.
"The last time I fainted, I had a dream of, well, a huge fleet of
space ships. It was near a planet."
"Our planet?" Steven asked with big eyes. Josh looked concerned,
and Rick looked disbelieving. Jason still looked angry, but Kyle could
tell he was looking more concerned as well.
"No. This was far away. As in, the other side of the galaxy.
There is something dark, something evil, something that will consume the
entire galaxy. I have to go. I have to go help stop it," Kyle said, the
crushing realization coming down on him. So far... so big... how long
would he be gone? How could he fight something that huge? It was swarming
over light years of space.

"So its just you and a fleet?" Josh asked. How to tell them? How
to explain what he saw?

"No. That fleet was destroyed. Completely and utterly. They
slowed the darkness. They were like mixed mutant creations; part darkness,
part metal and flesh. The fleet fought to the end and then they
detonated... blowing a huge chunk out of the darkness. But there was so
much more." Kyle could feel a tear in his eye. "There was an evacuation
while the fleet fought, trying to slow the advancing creatures." Kyle
hadn't wanted to think about what his dreams meant, but now he had no
choice. There was something dark in space, something wrong, and it was his
job to fight it.

ok. let me know if you want to see full on sex in this story, or
just an allusion. and if I DO have also, other notes. I hvae this cool idea
where we make a website.. with like a world background... and then writers
can populate it with super heroes and villians. then all together we'd tie
it all into a cool comic universe kinda like DC or Marvel. get it??!!?!?!

send ideas to me if you have any about this. THANKS
