Hi all sorry for the long delay. All I can say is works been crazy and
leave it at that. Hope you all enjoy this chapter.

Eric sat in class only partially paying attention to what was being
discussed. His thoughts were focused on the conversations he had, had with
Brent over the last few days. It had become clear that the little healer
was being used. Eric had established that the healer didn't really know
much of anything that was going on. Truth be told he didn't really know
much either. This had resulted in him instructing Brent to carry on as he
had been. Brent had seemed happy with his instructions. The real question
was would the healer betray him to who ever had set this into motion.

"Eric if you would care to join us and tell us your thoughts on raw power".
The instructor had noticed him not paying attention. And in true teacher
fashion had called on him. Rolling his eyes Eric looked around at all the
faces now looking at him. "Raw energy or power is dangerous and difficult
to control. As a result we channel it into either thoughts or the elements
we find around us. We do this due to the fact that losing control of raw
power becomes dangerous quickly". The instructor gave Eric an unfriendly
look. It was clear he had not expected the absent minded student to be
able to form a real opinion on the matter. "Thank you Erik for your well
thought out response", the instructor's voice dripped with sarcasm.

Eric saw Beth looking at him. He could see the confusion in her eyes. It
made him feel a little bad. It was just he didn't feel he could trust
anyone at the moment. He knew that he had pissed both Paul and Beth off
with his distance. The other male sorcerers had been disappointed when he
declined the invitation to work out with them. All in all he was currently
making himself very unpopular. This was all due to increased insecurity
about who to trust. He wasn't even sure he could trust Sean. This was
saying something as they had never had a proper relationship. All they
really had was gazing longingly at each other with no idea how to proceed.

As Eric left the building referred to as the sorcerer building, Paul
grabbed his arm. It was clear to Eric that his friend was pissed. Paul
dragged Eric off to a surprisingly remote and unused area of the college.
"Alright sorcerer boy explain. I don't enjoy being ignored even by you.
And only the gods know how much I've wanted you to ignore me in the past".
Erik looked at the open honest face of his friend. "My family is being
attacked or at least unbalanced". Paul didn't grasp the significance of
what Erik said. This made Eric regret suspecting his friend. "Sorry my
families head is one of the inner council". Paul indicated that he already
knew this. Eric wasn't surprised. Paul was a big guy. And this often
made people think he was dumb. Which was far from the truth, Paul was
smart.

"They are trying to get at Grandfather through me", Eric explained. Paul
looked at his friend and nodded his understanding. "What I don't know is
who they are". Paul's face showed his hurt as he realised what Eric
implied. "You thought it could have been me". Eric nodded and hated the
thoughts that were running through his mind. He figured that Paul was
either sincere in his hurt over being considered. That or Paul was a very
good actor. "Do what you need to. To be sure I'm not working against
you". Eric winced at the anger that was now apparent in Paul's voice. He
closed his eyes and focused on Paul. Eric scanned his friend with his mind
looking for anything that would indicate that Paul was playing him.

"I'm sorry Paul. I just don't know who can be trusted". Eric looked at
his bigger friend whose anger had lessened. "It's alright Eric. I know
you sorcerers are tricky to understand. Still doesn't it stand to reason
that another sorcerer would be doing this to you?" Eric looked away
clearly uncomfortable with what Paul had said. "I know it is more likely.
Still I don't know who". Paul saw the confusion in Eric's eyes. It was
clear to him that Eric was struggling to think of someone he had thought of
as a friend trying get at him in any way they could.

"So what's the plan"? Paul asked watching his friend. Eric looked away,
he was not happy with the plan he had put into place. "I let Brent go
through with the plan he had been given for Sean. That is after I choose
Sean as my warrior". Paul frowned. He had thought that Eric wasn't
interested in having a warrior. Eric answered his unasked question. "I'm
going to need help if I want to keep Grandfather alive". Paul nodded his
understanding. He was also impressed with Eric's commitment and loyalty to
the head of his family. Paul was pretty sure that Eric was probably the
only one that loyal to the head of his family.

"So what do you want me to do"? Eric smiled at his friend's willingness to
help. Paul smiled back at Eric making his desire to help all the more
evident. "You will do what you always do". Paul smiled knowingly. Not
many knew how carefully he watched out for Eric. "As always", was his only
response. The pair turned back to the buildings they both had study to do
and classes to attend.

Brent woke he felt a demonic presence in his room. In a corner that was
only dimly lit he saw a figure. It was difficult to tell anything about
the individual as they wore a large cloak. Brent couldn't even be sure how
tall they were. It was all together passable that they were floating to
give the illusion of height. "Sorry did we wake you little healer", the
voice was low and menacing. It sent chills down Brent's spine. "It
doesn't matter sweetie it was time for me to get up anyway". Brent threw
back his covers with a flourish. He could almost sense the shock coming
off of the individual in the corner of his room. The problem with the
demonically possessed was that they were difficult to read even for a
healer. A healer knew when they were with someone possessed more by the
lack of emotion and the coldness coming from them.

Brent stretched. Although slim he was well formed and toned. "Do you like
what you see sweetie. Perhaps we could have some fun before we get down to
business". He looked at the other seductively. "Then again perhaps you
are not my type it's hard to tell when you are dressed that way". Brent
turned away from his guest and deliberately bent to retrieve a pair of
pants. He got nothing from the possessed. "Then again maybe I'm not your
type. Although I was led to believe the possessed would fuck anything and
anyone". The possessed laughed softly before responding to the flamboyant
healer. "So true some of us will literally do anything. However my sexual
appetites are not my reason for being here". Brent raised one perfectly
sculpted eyebrow.

"We are here to ensure the plan is still in place as we wanted". The
underling threat of what would happen if it wasn't didn't need to be
stated. "Yes everything is in place. The sorcerer will no doubt pick Sean.
I mean honestly who else is he going to choose. After the choosing I will
convince Sean to go on one last outing with me. And being the type of guy
he is he will agree". The possessed stared at Brent. Well Brent felt that
the possessed glared at him. It was imposable to tell for sure. "Make
sure he is where he needs to be at the correct time". With that the
possessed vanished, clearly the Demonic had possessed a sorcerer.

Brent looked at the spot that the possessed had been in for some time. For
the first time since being approached by the creature he felt sort of safe.
This was only due to the fact that Eric had promised to look out for him.
Brent shuddered and knew he had to let Eric know about his latest visit.
It would be too risky for him to approach Eric privately again. It would
take time for him to work out how to convey his message without making it
appear that he was telling him anything important. Hopefully Eric was as
smart as he looked and acted.

Eric had contacted Grandfather. He had hoped it would make him feel
better. All it had really done was make him feel worse. Grandfather had
explained that this kind of problem was why he was normally so distant. He
had basically been told to continue as he had been and see how it played
out. Eric wanted to be more active and aggressive. So far he had only
been able to react. That in its self was beginning to aggravate him. To
look at Eric appeared to be the very picture of calm. He knew that on the
inside he was ready to tear whoever was messing around with his life to
shreds.

Not being able to vent his frustration Eric joined the other first year
sorcerers. The warriors had gathered in a large field. The warriors that
had proven their strength were lined up and waiting for the choosing. There
were fewer sorcerers then warriors. The warriors knew that it would be
this way. Eric saw Brent in the crowd. He could tell that the little
Healer was trying to move himself toward Eric. Eric slowed enough to let
the healer approach him. Their interaction was brief. However the
information was clear. Before Brent stormed off in a huff Eric had given
him an almost nonexistent nod indicating he had understood.

If Eric were to be honest with himself he was impressed with Brent's
acting. He hurried to catch up with the others. It was important to
appear as if he knew nothing was going on. Eric looked around at all the
other students. Everyone had come to the choosing as was expected. The
speeches and other rubbish that the administrators insisted on going
through were dull. However they needed to feel important in some way. The
fact that everyone knew that the choices had already been made and that the
ceremony was a waste of time didn't seem to bother the administration.

Eric was called first to choose. Many of the students didn't know it, but
the sorcerers had also established a ranking. Their ranking didn't depend
on a test it was all established as they each met each other. A sorcerer
always knew when meeting another sorcerer who was the stronger. Eric had,
had enough. The whole situation was beyond the irritation that it had
started out as. He walked straight up to Sean who looked surprised.
Neither had to say anything, Eric's choice was announced for all to hear.
The actual bonding would have to wait though as it was a more privet
ritual, Shared between sorcerer and warrior.

Eric stomped off of the field having had enough of the grandstanding by the
administration. Sean followed quickly behind. Brent was close behind
them. The fake and public fight between the healer and sorcerer was loud
as had been planned. Eric shoved Brent passing a small object to him at
the same time. Once he was sure Brent had the object he stormed off in a
fake huff of his own. With everyone's attention on the pissed off sorcerer
no one saw Brent pocket the small object that Eric had handed to him. Eric
had explained to Brent that he couldn't risk whoever the possessed was
sensing his magic on Brent. Therefore he had, had to wait until the last
minute to give the object to Brent.

Sean looked at Brent sadly. "I'm sorry Brent but to miss out on this
opportunity would be". Brent made Sean go quite simply by kissing him
soundly on the lips. "Don't worry big boy I knew one of them would snatch
you up. I mean how could they not". Brent smiled sadly at Sean, who
looked at him with a confused expression on his face. "Come on as I said
to sorcerer boy I just want to leave what we have with each other nicely".
Sean let Brent take his hand and lead him away.

Surprisingly Brent didn't lead Sean away from the college. Rather he took
him to part of the old buildings. "I wanted to show you something that I
found here", Brent said enthusiastically. Brent hoped Sean believed his
acting. On the inside he was wound up tighter than anyone would believe
and felt a profound sense of dread. Brent wasn't really sure what had been
hidden away in the unused abandoned buildings sublevels. All he really
knew was what he had been told and he had been told to follow his sense of
foreboding.

Sean looked around the interior of the old building and couldn't think why
Brent would have been there in the first place. No one ever went into the
ruins of the old school buildings. It was clear to him that they had
entered an area that had seen a lot of magic. "Brent why are we here",
Sean was worried he didn't like where they were heading. Something felt
really wrong. "I just want to show you something on the level below",
Brent answered trying to suppress his own bad feelings about the place.

Brent took them to what appeared to be a training room. It had an old
style stone floor. What Sean noted about the floor was the diagram or
symbol painted in the centre. It appeared to have been done in blood red
paint. Sean knew it wasn't paint. A cloaked figure appeared behind the
symbol. Sean would have laughed at how Hollywood movie it all looked. The
figure was chanting softly. Sean knew that sorcerers performed magic in a
number of different ways. He knew chanting was one of them.

Before he could react the symbol on the stone floor started to glow. It
appeared as if the stones vanished revealing a vortex like portal. Brent
gasped and clutched the stone Eric had given him tightly. Eric had told
him it was a constructed summoning. What Brent didn't know was what it
summoned. All it took to activate was a small amount of his power. Brent
did as he had been instructed. Before he could take note as to whether it
was working or not he saw something come out of the portal that truly
terrified him. It was a shadowy creature huge with razor sharp claws at
the end of its fingers. It had massive horns and a snout full of sharp
teeth.

"It has betrayed us", the demon hissed turning its burning eyes onto Brent.
Brent was frozen in place not knowing what to do. "It has used another's
power". The Demon moved forward to strike at Brent. Sean moved
instinctively to protect the healer. The Demon roared its frustration and
threw Sean across the room. It advanced on Brent. "Don't worry with that
one nothing more than a healer. It's the warrior we are after". The demon
glared at the cloaked figure before turning to the recovering Sean. Brent
collapsed with fear not knowing what else to do.

In a swirl of distorted light Eric appeared. The cloaked figure took one
look at Eric and vanished. It was clear it had not expected Eric to be
aware of anything. The demon took no notice of the sorcerer. All its
attention was on Sean. Who was desperately trying to fight for his own
survival. Eric was impressed that Sean was holding his own. A higher
level demon still in its spirit form was a huge threat. Erik knew that
Sean would fall. "Well, well it looks like the commander has left his
captain to fix this mess". Eric wasn't sure if he was using military terms
correctly. And frankly didn't care one way or the other. All he really
wanted was to get the demons attention. Eric had prepared himself for this
he had known on some level what was going to happen. What better way to
get at a sorcerer than to have their warrior possessed.

Sean watched with blurry eyes as he saw symbols appear around Eric. The
symbols were a channel for what Eric wanted to do. Sean had no idea what
they meant. He only knew that sorcerers studied the different symbols. He
watched as Eric's pale gray eyes took on a misty appearance making the
whites and pupils gray. Eric rose several feet above the ground. As he
released his power the demon was sucked into a funnel. Sean was horrified
to see that the funnel ended at Eric's mouth.

Eric felt as the Demon entered his body. It had been explained to him
before. It was as if the Demon was trying to take over his mind and body.
Eric knew that it would only be a few seconds however it felt like forever
to him as he battled with the demon in his mind. The others felt the
pressure in the room pop with what sounded like a thunderclap. Eric felt
his feat touch the ground and closed his eyes thankful that he had won this
time around. He knew that taking a demon into yourself was risky. There
was always the chance of being possessed instead of consuming the demon and
making it a part of yourself. Eric examined that knew part of him. He was
pleased to sense that there was no threat from the demon. He could tell it
was a part of him that he could know use he was however unsure as to how he
could use it.

Eric turned to Brent. "Brent I'm sorry to have put you through that".
Brent just looked at the sorcerer wide eyed. He had scanned Eric and knew
he wasn't possessed. "Is, is that safe to do"? Eric knew what Brent was
asking. "No, it could have easily gone the other way", Eric said flatly.
Brent looked as if he was going to be sick. "Do a lot of sorcerers do
this"? Eric raised one eyebrow causing Brent to look away. "Yes but we
don't talk about it. Let's face it people don't want to talk about the
time they were nearly possessed". Eric said trying to lighten the mood.
Brent didn't appear to appreciate the humour. "Anyway you should probably
get back before you are missed". Brent nodded and saw the symbol on the
stones.

Frowning he asked Eric, "So what is that"? Pointing at the symbol. Eric
turned and looked at it frowning with displeasure. "That is a connection
to a Portal of Souls. I had hoped to find the Portal itself". Brent just
looked at Eric confused. "Don't worry at it, its sorcerer stuff. Still
you think you could do some healer stuff for Sean before you go, he's
pretty banged up". Brent looked over at Sean and instantly jumped into
action. Healing was something he could do and focus on. Rather than the
more complicated sorcerer stuff as Eric had put it.

Sean woke slowly he felt like he had been hit by a fast moving truck.
Blinking his eyes he found himself in a bedroom. He could feel the firm
softness of the king size bed and knew he wasn't at the college. Shifting
he felt the expensive sheets rub seductively across what he discovered was
his nude body. To the left of him some very flimsy curtains fluttered in a
strong breeze. The breeze carried the distinctive scent of the ocean.
"There is robe on your left", Sean wasn't surprised to hear the musical
notes of Eric's voice float in from the balcony.

Sean scrambled out of the large bed eager for Eric to explain what was
going on. As he stepped out onto the balcony he couldn't help but admire
Eric's rear profile. He was wearing a fitted pair of shorts showing off
his ass and very fine legs. What caught Sean's eye was the small palm
sized tribal tattoo on Eric's right calf. "Don't worry at it, it was my
choice". Sean nodded his understanding, he knew what that kind of tattoo
meant on a sorcerer. "It was meant for me wasn't it", Eric turned and
focused his calm gray eyes on Sean and nodded once. "Yes you were the
target". Eric tucked a stray strand of his long hair back behind his ear
as he studied Sean's reaction.

Sean gave no reaction he had, had no idea that there was anyone that wanted
to target him. "Why did they target me"? Eric raised one perfect eyebrow
and turned back to face the view. Sean took a moment to take in the view
as well. It was apparently the ideal day to go to the beach. The sun was
shining and the ocean looked perfect. Eric looked over at Sean and
grinned, "You like it here". It wasn't really a question more a statement
of fact. Sean turned and saw the amused look on Eric's face. "And so what
if I do". Eric shrugged before turning back to the view.

"It's not real" he murmured softly. Sean frowned he didn't understand what
Eric was getting at. "Have you ever heard of dimensional magic"? Sean
shook his head. "Well this is an example of it. We can move around the
apartment and out here we have a great view. However everything else is
too insubstantial to interact with". Sean had a confused expression.
"This is what is known as a Dimensional bubble. It's like a small part of
reality that has been removed from the real world and formed into my own
little reality". Sean just stared at Eric not sure what to say.

"Is, is that hard to do"? Was his eventual question. Eric nodded and
turned back to the view. "So why do it, if it's so difficult". Eric
laughed before he answered he knew the real reason sorcerers did it and he
knew the reason they gave most people. "It's to show off. What better way
to indicate how powerful and skilled you are by creating your own reality".
Sean could see that Eric was being honest. "Is it a drain on you to
maintain"? Sean asked realizing he was more curious about their current
location then he thought he would be. Eric shook his head. "Not really
the space is part of a constructed magic. So it's connected to an object.
If I wasn't here there wouldn't be anything here though. So it does take a
little energy to maintain the apartment". Sean nodded he sort of
understood.

"So why are we here and not back at the college"? Eric looked away he
wasn't sure how to answer Sean's question. Sean waited patiently for Eric
to respond. "My family is being targeted for some reason. I assume the
council. However this is the first time they have tried to get at us with
the Demonic". Sean's eyes went to the tattoo on Eric's calf. Eric
frowned, "That has nothing to do with why we are here", and he was clearly
getting angry at Sean's continued interest in the tattoo. "You needed time
to heal and we need a place to complete the bond safely with no more
interruptions".

Sean looked at Eric he was shocked at the sorcerer's frankness about what
they were doing. "I will force the bond if I have to, we can repair any
damage later". Sean was too stunned to say anything. "Sean you do this
willingly or not I need a strong warrior at my side". Sean shook himself
and looked at the slender man with hard gray eyes. "I won't make you force
this, it's what I want". Eric nodded once and re-entered the bedroom.
Eric watched as the fitted shorts fell away from Eric and groaned. Eric
was about to release his hair when Sean stopped him. "No I like it that
way", Eric looked over at him seductively. "Something to hold onto
warrior", Sean grinned and nodded.

Sean looked at the smooth pale skin of Eric's ass. It was clear how Eric
would like to build the bond between them. Eric looked back over his
shoulder and grinned. "This really is the easy way. The other ways can be
almost painful or just downright horrific". Sean understood what Eric was
saying. He shrugged out of his robe revealing his already hardening cock.
"Just do what comes naturally and pull power into yourself, I will do the
rest". Sean nodded and grasped Eric's pale ass spreading his ass checks
revealing what he sort.

Eric had expected Sean to just dive in. What he had not expected was the
warrior to eat his ass out. He whimpered in appreciation of what the
larger man was doing. It was clear that he knew what he was doing just by
the way he slowly entered Eric with one slick finger followed by another.
Eric couldn't help himself he pushed himself down onto those fingers
wanting so much more.

It wasn't long before Sean was sure that Eric was ready he had learnt in
the past that it was best to prep the guy you were about to fuck. And fuck
was what he intended to do to Eric. He had already embraced his power
filling himself to the brim with its potential. He lined his throbbing
cock up with Eric's wet pulsing hole and slid in with ease. Thankful for
the prep he had done prior. Sean began to fuck Eric.

Eric was in bliss he had, had sex before but never with someone who truly
understood what he was doing. It was clear that Sean knew what he was
doing and how to please Eric. The rhythm Sean set ensured that neither
would last long. Eric pulled power into his own body. As he had said to
Sean there were a number of ways to form the bond. However sexual and
magical release at the same time was the strongest and most enjoyable for
everyone involved.

Sean didn't have to tell Eric when he was ready Eric knew. Eric focused
him mind and flooded Sean's body with his power as he absorbed Sean's into
himself. The release for both was fast and epic neither had ever felt such
a profound connection to a person they had slept with. As the pair came
down from their orgasmic high they both felt the difference. They could
both now sense each other. Sean felt stronger somehow and knew it was due
to his new bond with Eric. Eric felt more settled and in control of his
power something he had known would happen when he formed the bond.

As Sean wrapped his big arms around Eric. Eric felt a wave of guilt. He
hadn't told Sean the consequences of their actions. "Sean how much do you
know about the bond". Sean shrugged in truth he didn't really know a lot
beyond the power and strength boost. "I'm sorry I should have told you
there is a price to pay for the boosts you get" Sean stiffened not sure
where Eric was going with this. "The biggest is you can never let me die,
if I die you will go crazy and end up dead". Sean pulled back and looked
at the slender form of the younger man he had bonded with. "That seems
fair enough. You have to give something to gain the boosts we get from the
bond". Eric nodded happy that Sean seemed to understand. Only time would
tell if Sean truly understood.
