Only The Lonely
From chapter 6:
I found it funny, when I didn't see the bullies the rest of the
day. After school, I started to walk towards home. I had gotten about a
block from the school, and was about to cross the street, when I saw the
three bullies from school, come out from behind a tree, and start to walk
towards me. As soon as I saw them approaching me, I immediately turned and
ran. I knew what they wanted, I had gotten them in trouble, and they
wanted revenge.
And now for Chapter Seven:
I got about half a block, when I was tackled to the ground. The
three boys, had thrown all their weight on me, and I felt like I was being
crushed. I yelled out when the biggest one, Billy, started to punch my
face. His so called friends, Mark and John, started to kick my sides,
which forced all the air out of my lungs. I was repeatedly punched and
kicked, all the time I was calling out to Rick in my mind. He never
showed. I was being beaten to death, and no one was coming to my rescue.
Because I wasn't putting up much of a fight, the three bullies got bored
with me, and left.
I lay there crying, hoping that death would come, but it never
came. I lay there for what seemed to be an eternity, but was only about
five minutes. I was laying there crying when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I flinched from the touch.
Rick was looking down at the battered and bruised Trevor. 'Why was
I so wrapped up in another planet's issues?,' was his initial thought, but
he knew the answer to that, the moment he thought it. A single tear ran
down his sculpted cheek, the first time in a millennium, that he had shed a
tear.
He carefully scooped up Trevor and put him in his car, and drove
him home. As he walked into the house, Mrs. Marks ran up to Rick and asked
what happened. He proceeded to tell her what happened. With an astonished
look on his face, she took Trevor from him, and lay him down on his bed.
Mrs. Marks was not a big woman, she only stood 5'5". Rick never left his
side.
Trevor lay there unconscious, dreaming the events that had just
passed. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't wake up. The dream was a
true nightmare, that never ended, and kept repeating itself. It seemed so
real, he could see the sweat on their foreheads, and the smell that came
with it. After what seemed like an eternity, the nightmare ended. It was
replaced by him down by the river, dangling his feet in the water. He
heard some movement from behind him, Trevor turned around and saw a being
of pure light walking up towards him. Astounded by the pure beauty of the
being, he just stared. As the being came closer, the light coming from it
got more intense.
Mr. and Mrs. Marks went into town to get some groceries, Rick
assured them Trevor would be okay. They said that they would be gone about
an hour, so Rick knew he had enough time to do what he had wanted to do.
They had been gone for about ten minutes, when Rick started to remove all
of his clothes. As soon as he was completely naked, he walked over to the
side of Trevor's bed and transformed into his true form. He put his hand
on Trevor's chest and beams of light coursed through Trevor's body.
As soon as the being of light got close enough to Trevor, he rested
what looked like a hand on Trevor's shoulder. A feeling of relaxation and
well being flowed through Trevor. He had never felt like that before, it
was almost a euphoric feeling. Before he knew it, the feeling was gone.
Rick didn't want all the bruising to go away, because it would
raise too many questions that he didn't feel like answering at that time.
He knew that the boys had beaten up Trevor, very badly. He had broken ribs
and the boys had actually crushed a vertebra in Trevor's spine. If Rick
had not healed Trevor, he would never have walked again.
No sooner had the feeling of euphoria ended, than the being of
light vanished, leaving Trevor sitting on the bank of the river. Trevor
had known who the being of light had been, and was going to have to ask
Rick what the dream had meant when he woke up.
Rick had no sooner reverted back to his human form and gotten
dressed, when the Marks had returned. Mrs. Marks, no sooner stepped in the
door of the house, and was making her way to Trevor's room. "He's going to
be okay, all he has is some minor bruising, and a few bruised ribs." Rick
told Mrs. Marks. "Are you sure, he looks so bad." Was Mrs. Marks'
reply. "Yes, I'm sure, he should be awake in a little bit." Rick said.
A few hours later, Trevor started to wake. He opened his eyes and
saw Rick laying besides him on his bed, sound asleep. He looked over at
his alarm clock and it read 11:00 pm. He ached all over, but nothing he
couldn't withstand. His stirring caused Rick to wake up.
"Your awake, good. How do you feel?" asked Rick.
"Like a semi just ran me over." replied Trevor.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. I heard your cries for help, but I
couldn't get away."
With that statement, Trevor started to cry, memories of the boys
kicking and punching him came back to him, with such vivid detail. Rick
reached out to touch him, but he just pulled away. "You have every right
to be mad at me, but at least let me hold you, to make up for not being
there.
Hearing Trevor crying, his parents rushed to his room. Seeing
their son backing away from Rick, they politely asked Rick to leave. "NO"
cried Trev. "I don't want him to leave, it's just that I had a flashback of
what happened." Trevor hated lying to his parents, but he really didn't
want Rick to leave, but at the same time, he was hurt that Rick had not
been there when he needed him the most.

Editor's Note:
I really hope that Rick and Trev can get back to the good relationship
they had before. I really do love this story. Try to hurry if you can. I
know that I have no room to talk about being late. I forgot to edit the
chapter. So it is my fault.
