		                      Only The Lonely

	From chapter 7:

Hearing Trevor crying, his parents rushed to his room. Seeing
their son backing away from Rick, they politely asked Rick to leave.
"NO!!" cried Trev. "I don't want him to leave, it's just I had a flashback
of what happened." Trevor hated lying to his parents, but he of course he
really didn't want Rick to leave, yet at the same time, he was quite hurt
that Rick had not been there when he needed him the most.

And now for Chapter Eight:

It has now been several months since I got the crud beaten out of
me by those three jerks, and I still have the bruises on me to show for it.
Rick told me later how bad the bullies had beaten me up. I was in shock.
They could have killed me, if Rick hadn't showed up. My parents decided it
was best to press charges against all three of the boys.
The rest of the school year was pretty much uneventful. The
bullies were expelled after the school board heard about what
happened. With Rick's help, and yes, he spent every evening at my house, I
achieved a perfect report card. My parents couldn't have been any happier.
Over the summer, Rick continued to spend a lot of time with me and my
family. My parents have gotten really comfortable with him being around.
They have even invited him to stay the night on quite a few occasions.

My relationship with Rick grew a lot stronger as the time went by.
On my 14th birthday, he took me to the most beautiful place I had ever
seen. Of course, it was on a different planet, but, hey, what the heck, I
didn't care. The planet he took me to looked similar to earth, with one
interesting exception. When you looked up into the sky, there were eight
distinct rings across it. It reminded me a lot of Saturn, but of course, I
knew that wasn't possible. I looked over at Rick and asked, "Okay, I gotta
ask; where are we?" With a huge smile on his face, he replied, "I'm sure
you already know where we are." My jaw hit the floor. "Saturn?" I blurted
out. He looked back at me and nodded. I just stood there in awe. "Wow!
I didn't know Saturn had an atmosphere."

That was the best birthday I had had, yet. The summer months
didn't seem to drag by for me, now that Rick was around. He was always
hanging around the house. We even camped out in the back yard a few
times. Time spent with him was so wonderful that I could never get bored.
Before I knew it, it was time for school to start again. Rick dropped me
off at school that first morning, wanting to make sure that I made it there
okay. Of course I didn't have a problem with it. It gave me more time to
be with him. I walked into school, and I was Immediately told to go to the
office. 'Oh great, what did I do now. It's only the first day, and I'm
already in trouble.' I thought to myself.

As I approached the office, I saw the three bullies being escorted
away by the police. I got to the office right after they left. "I was
told to report to the office." I told the secretary. She looked up at me
and pointed to a chair next to her desk. I took the seat, wondering what
the heck was going on.
I waited for about thirty minutes for the principal to get around
to seeing me. I was already late for my home room class. Finally, I was
called into Mr. Smith's office. "Mr. Marks," he said to me, "The reason
I've called you in here today is because of what happened to you last
semester. Those three young men, (and believe me when I tell you that I
use that word loosely) that you saw escorted out of here, have been
expelled from this school, as well as, having assault charges filed against
them, by the school. You should not have had to endure what you did. I've
called your parents, to come down here, and they'll be arriving shortly.
Would you like to wait for them, or would you like to get to class?" I
looked at him for a minute, thinking, then I said, as casually as I could
without giggling, " I guess I'll just wait for my mom and dad, if that's
alright with you, sir." What kid in their right mind would want to go to
class if they could avoid it?

My parents did show up, and were informed of what happened. They
were very glad to know that those boys wouldn't be hurting their son any
more. Yeah right! Little did they know that revenge was being plotted
against me already.

Three days after they were arrested, the boys had met up, and were
planning on hurting Trevor, because, as they saw it, he had gotten them
suspended and then expelled. "That little queer is going to get what's
coming to him." Scowled Billy. "We're gonna get him good!" exclaimed John.
Mark remained silent. He'd thought that the beating they'd given Trevor
before was a little too harsh. "Hey guys, let's just leave Trev alone, why
don't we? We already beat the shit out of him, and look what happened to
us then." With that question, both Billy and John glared at Mark.

Billy snarled, "What's wrong with you, Mark are you getting queer on us?
Remember, it was him that gut us in trouble. That son of a bitch needs a
good lesson."

It'd been a week since Billy, John, and Mark had been taken from
school, and for once in his life, Trevor felt pretty safe in school. The
entire day passed without incident. Trevor sat in his last class of the
day, watching the second hand on the classroom clock. The time seemed to
creep, but finally after what seemed like days, the bell did ring. He
gathered up his stuff and headed to his locker. Opening the door to his
locker, he noticed a piece of paper laying on top of all his things.

"Meet me behind the old factory, at 4 o'clock." It read, and it was
signed, "From a secret admirer."

I looked around looking for anyone who might be looking at me, or
in my direction, but there were way too many kids in the hall. So I took
the note with me and put my books, that I didn't need, away. I headed out
the front doors, to wait for Rick to show up. I looked for him for about
an hour. He never showed. I finally figured that he must have had
business off planet. Remembering what time the note said to meet up, I
headed for the old abandoned factory at the edge of town. It took me about
fifteen minutes to walk there, from the school.
In order to get where the note told me to go, I had to climb over a
barbed wire fence. The one good thing about living in the country, is
knowing how to deal with barbed wire. I was up and over the fence in no
time. I made my way around the building. Not knowing what to expect, I
was nervous as all get out.

Thus concludes Chapter 8. Hope you liked it. Let me know what you though
of it. If you have any ideas, feel free to let me know.

Chapter 9 should be along shortly.

Editor's note:

Okay, I have a comment, Summer went by pretty darn quickly. Only one off
planet trip with Rick. Trev is a good kid. I hate to see him beaten to a
pulp in every chapter. Can you please give him a break. Oh and could you
make sure in the next chapter that Rick is paying attention when Trev calls
for help.

Sorry I couldn't help but put that in, because, it really tore me up to see
him beaten up so bad. For heavens sake Rick is supposed to be his friend,
and then he didn't show up to help him any. That was really sad.

As I have said several times; I love this story.

Try to get us chapter nine as soon as possible.
