                              Seven
   Peabody  swallowed  Lin  again and  began  sucking  while  Lan

three days."
   "You underestimated yourselves," Peabody said.
   "No,  my  love.  We underestimated you and your  capacity  for

   Lan  tilted Peabody's head back and up. Lan kissed him  again.
There were no lips involved in the kiss as there would have  been

   They  got  out of the Jacuzzi. Lan was still hard. They  dried

   "You  weren't  supposed to give up so easily!" Lan  called  to
him.  Peabody laughed. Peabody sat down at the kitchen  table  as

   "Do you want a snack before lunch?" Lan asked.
   "No."
   He  stood  in  front of Peabody and Peabody took  him  in  his

   "You do want a snack!"

   Peabody  laughed again. He could picture the men in  suits  at
the counter: 'Would you like onions on those twenty-four burgers,

   Lin  and  Peabody  sat  and talked while Lan  cooked.  Peabody
pulled  his chair up against Lin's, and Lin wrapped an arm around
his love.
   Peabody   watched   Lan  cook  with  three   hands.   It   was
fascinating.

   Ban  and  the  other brothers were gathered in  cavern  seven.
They were in suits since the cavern had no air yet.
   "The  first  thing we have to decide is whether we  want  flat
walls and a flat roof," he said over the comm.
   "I  think we should leave the walls natural. It will give them
character and make it seem less like another room," Mun said. The
others all agreed.
   "The  roof needs to be flat or arched for light distribution,"
Pon  said.  "And if we are going to run channels for water,  flat
would be much better."
   "Fewer pumps would be needed," Ban said, agreeing.
   "So water will drip from the ceiling like rain?" Mun asked.
   "More  like  the sprinkler system in our building  on  Earth,"
Pon responded.
   "So we will need drains under the soil to collect it."
   "Yes.  With some sort of pre-filter between the soil  and  the
drain, like coarse sand, or maybe rock rubble."
   Fon  said,  "I think we should leave the ground as it  is.  It
has nice contours to it."
   "But  if  the hills are rock, nothing will grow on them,"  Mun
said.
   "Good  point. One rock hill might be nice. We could dig  holes
in  it  in  a few places for soil and plants. That way  the  hill
won't be completely lifeless."
   "I  will get started on the ceiling. Flat will be easy with  a
laser," Mun said.
   "The  highest  point  is about forty meters.  Is  that  right,
Fon?"
   "Yes. Forty meters from the ground level at this entrance."
   "Mun,  make  the  roof that height and I will  begin  drilling
channels and holes for the water a meter above that," Pon said.
   "Is there anything above this cavern?" Mun asked.
   "Nothing  we  need  to worry about. It is solid  rock  for  at
least  one hundred meters. That is one of the reasons we  flagged
this cavern."
   "Fon, will you get the rock cutter? We will have a great  deal
of rock to remove."
   "We will need to grind up some for the pre-filters."
   "We will have plenty. We have to even the floor, too."
   "We  aren't  going to have a completely flat floor,  are  we?"
Fon asked.
   "No.  That would look too artificial," Ban said. He  took  his
handheld and began indicating what should be removed on the floor
of  the cavern and what contours he felt should be left. While he
did  that, Ban wondered if it might be possible to have  a  small
creek running through the park. He decided it would take quite  a
bit  of  time  to  create  if the water was  to  flow  through  a
relatively  flat  area. He decided not to take  the  extra  time.
Peabody needed somewhere to walk soon.
   "What will we do with the rest of the rock?"
   Ban  looked  at  a map of the cavern system on  his  handheld.
"There is a cavern about one hundred thirty meters below us."  He
walked around and then stopped. "Right here. We can drill a  hole
and  dump  fine rock rubble into it. It is a tall, narrow  cavern
that  won't be of any use to us. Cavern seventeen on the  map.  I
will drill that hole."
   "Has cavern seventeen been searched for lifesigns?"
   "Yes. The probe found nothing, not even fossils."
   "Mun,  let  us know when you finish the roof and we  will  get
started on the floor."

   "Peabody, will you come here a minute?" Lan called.
   Peabody walked up to him and asked, "What is it, handsome?"
   Lan  leaned  down  and kissed him. Peabody  wrapped  his  arms
around him and hugged him.
   "I love you, Peabody. Very much. I just wanted to tell you."
   Peabody hugged him harder and said, "I love you. It's hard  to
believe we met so recently." Lan happily went back to cooking.
   Lan brought the food out.
   "I  am so glad one of my boyfriends cooks. I am not very  good
at it," Peabody said.
   "He is also a starship pilot," Lan said.
   "And very sexy," Peabody said.
   "And he has a big candy bar," Lan said.
   "Yum,  yum,"  Peabody  said.  "But  then  there  is  my  other
gorgeous,  sexy  boyfriend. The doctor. My first alien  love.  My
mother Doris would be so proud that I hooked a doctor."
   "Would she really?" Lin asked.
   Peabody laughed and said "No. She hated everything as  far  as
I  know. Except for gossip. She loved that. No, now that I  think
of  it, she didn't approve of it, but she still loved it. If  she
knew  I  had  gay  alien  lovers, I have  trouble  imagining  her
reaction. I mean she went ballistic over the word 'shit'."
   "You  have  six  gay alien lovers. That might  have  impressed
her." Peabody laughed again.
   "Umm. These are really good, Lan!" Peabody remarked.
   After  they finished eating, Lan said, "We still haven't shown
you the swimming pool. We can do that or we can watch a movie  in
the movie room.
   "Let's  watch  a movie. Is popcorn expensive at this  theater?
Wait!  I  forgot  I'm  a millionaire now! I can  afford  a  large
popcorn!" It was clear to Peabody that neither of his lovers  had
ever been to a movie theater. They looked confused by what he had
said.
   "Would you like a soda with your popcorn, sir?"
   "Yes, mister. I'll have a diet cola."
   "Which kind?"
   "I'm a millionaire! The most expensive kind of diet cola!"
   They  waited  for the popcorn and then walked to the  theater.
They  sat  down  in the middle. Peabody thought  the  seats  were
wonderfully comfortable.
   "What would you like to watch?"
   "Do you have any Alaphin porn?"
   "We  call those home movies," Lin said. Peabody laughed.  "But
we  don't  have any worth seeing." Actually, they did,  but  they
didn't want to be reminded of what they had lost. They had  lived
in the past long enough.
   "We  are  on  a  planet with no women. How about `The  Women'?
From  what  I recall of it, it can teach us a lot about surviving
on Mars."
   "Really?"
   "Oh, yes. There's a dude ranch."
   Peabody almost laughed at the expressions on their faces.
   "To start the movie, say `Play The Women'," Lin said.
   The room darkened and the movie started.
   "'Pause movie' pauses it or you can say 'Stop movie.'"
   "Resume movie." The movie started back up.
   "If  two movies have the same title, say 'Next' to go  to  the
second."
   After the movie was over, Lin and Lan stared at him.
   "What did that teach us?" Lin asked.
   "How  to  face  adversity when burdened by wealth  and  female
friends."
   "Is that good?" Lan asked.
   "We  won't know until we face adversity or females.friends,  I
mean."
   "Why were there no men?"
   "Because they live on the opposite of Mars."
   They  looked  at him and he laughed. They walked back  to  his
quarters.
   "I  keep forgetting to turn on the gravity. Will you set it to
come on automatically when I enter the room?"
   "Certainly. How quickly should it come on?"
   "Let's try thirty seconds."
   Lin  brought  up a panel on the wall and set it.  They  slowly
got heavier.
   Peabody  realized the entire wall surface in his quarters  was
a  computer display. When they told him the walls could look like
any material, he didn't realized why.
   "Did you enjoy the strange movie, beautiful?" Lan asked.
   "Yes, I did."
   "And how do you find your new home?"
   "After  the tour today, I was starting to think it was awfully
cramped.  When  I  saw the cavern, I realized it  wasn't  cramped
everywhere."
   "We will enlarge your quarters," Lan said.
   "Yes. We will make them as large as you like," Lin added.
   "No. The quarters are fine. It's what's outside the quarters.
   "To  be honest, Peabody, we thought the human we got would  be
in poor health. We didn't create much in the way of recreation."
   "That  is exactly it. That is what it's missing. I was telling
Pon,  I  would  like  somewhere to walk. I can  do  that  in  the
cavern."
   Peabody looked at them and they both seemed very subdued.
   "What is it? Is something wrong?"
   "Peabody,  you  didn't tell us that. It is all  right  if  you
like him more. Would you like us to get him?"
   Peabody closed his eyes. Please don't tell me they aren't  all
going to be jealous of each other, he thought. Six jealous lovers
was six jealous lovers too many!
   "We will leave and get Pon."
   "Don't  go." Peabody looked at them. "Do I have to watch  what
I  say?  Only say the same things to everyone? I don't understand
your rules."
   They looked miserable and Peabody didn't know what to do.
   "I  really don't understand what is going on. Why did you  get
Pon to show me the cavern if you didn't want me to talk to him?"
   "Peabody, that isn't it at all. I..." Lin said and stopped.
   "Beautiful,  we were hoping that you liked us  best.  That  is
all," Lan said.
   Peabody thought for a minute.
   "I  love  you!  But  I'm  confused.  Do  you  want  me  to  be
monogamous or duogamous, if that is even a word? I would be  more
than  happy  to  do that. I'm not trying to make you  unhappy!  I
don't want to make anyone unhappy!"
   Lin  said,  "Peabody, it is normal for us to each want  to  be
the  host's favorite. You haven't done anything wrong. It is just
how we are. We compete to be the favorite. I don't want you to be
monogamous or polygamous. I want you to be happy."
   "So  everything will be fine, as long as I like the two of you
best."
   "You  only  have  to  like me best, Peabody.  That  should  be
easier," Lan said. Peabody laughed.
   "You aren't going to have fights over me, are you?"
   "No," Lin and Lan both said.
   "You two are going to have to tell me what you want me to  do.
Lan,  you  seemed  pleased when you saw how  happy  Pon  was  and
noticed that he wasn't hard anymore. Well, I gave him a blow job.
I  thought  it  was a good thing. I wouldn't have done  it  if  I
thought I would hurt you."
   "Peabody,  I  realize this is difficult  for  you.  We  are  a
different species, after all. The thing that worried us was  that
you  had a concern which you confided to someone else. We worried
that you didn't feel you could tell us or you didn't wish to tell
us."
   "OK.  I can understand that. Are you angry that I gave  him  a
blow job?"
   "No," they both said.
   Lan  said,  "Peabody, it was a very nice, generous  thing  you
did. You are a kind and considerate person."
   Lin  could see how confused Peabody was. This wasn't something
humans encountered in their monogamous marriages. Peabody clearly
wanted to make them happy but they were making him unhappy.
   "I have an idea, Peabody," Lin said.
   "What?"
   "As  I  said,  it  is normal for us to each want  to  be  your
favorite. I think you need to ignore the maneuvering for position
any  of  us do, and just do what you think is the right thing.  I
know  you  did  the right thing. And I'm pretty  sure  you  know.
Personally,  I  have  trouble imagining  you  doing  anything  to
deliberately hurt anyone. Can you ignore it?"
   "Yes, with your help. Will you help me?"
   "Yes," they both said.
   Peabody smiled and Lin and Lan were both relieved.
   Peabody  was sure he had done the right thing with  Pon.  What
would be wrong would be ignoring the others. Even though he loved
Lin  and Lan, he was the host for all of the brothers. Ban,  Fon,
Mun,  and Pon had no one but him. They deserved to be loved, too,
if  he could. They deserved to have sex, too, as much sex as  Lin
and  Lan  had. That would mean he would be having a lot  of  sex.
Peabody grinned. Oh, well!
   "I  wonder  if  I'm  pregnant,"  Peabody  said,  changing  the
subject.
   "You  are  almost certainly pregnant with two  children.  Very
few  of  our  eggs  don't implant. Unlike human  eggs,  ours  are
capable of searching for the best spot before attaching."
   "So  six months from now I'll be a father, sort of. What  will
they eat when they are born?"
   "Blood, the same as when they are inside you." Peabody  wasn't
sure  how he felt about that. But then he realized that it wasn't
so  different  from  drinking  milk  produced  by  a  mother.  If
anything,  it was simpler. And it meant he could feed his  babies
even though he was a male. He was glad of that.
   "How long do they drink blood? Do you drink blood?"
   Lin  said,  "Babies drink blood exclusively  for  about  three
months. They are weaned onto raw meat for a few months. Gradually
other foods are introduced. By the time they are a year old, they
are eating cooked meat and trying vegetables. Some are interested
in vegetables right away, while others are more reluctant."
   "Peabody,  adult Alaphin sometimes drink blood. We have  given
it  up  because we thought you wouldn't like it." Peabody decided
he  was  going  to give that some thought. He certainly  wouldn't
want  to  kiss  one of them after they'd drunk it. Yuck!  On  the
other  hand,  if it was normal for them, should he  require  that
they give it up completely? He wasn't sure.
   "Did  you  buy animal blood from Earth?" Please tell  me  it's
not human blood you drink, he thought.
   "Yes. Cow and pig blood," Lan told him.
   Peabody groaned and put his face in his hands.
   "What is it, my love?"
   "I  hate making you give up something you like, but I hate the
idea of kissing you with blood in your mouth, too."
   "It's  not  that important, beautiful. I know  I  would  much,
much, much rather kiss you than drink blood. It made some of  our
employees  very uncomfortable buying it for us, anyway."  Peabody
could see that.
   "Don't worry, Peabody. It really isn't important."
   Peabody smiled.
   That  evening, Peabody was lying on his back in bed while  his
two lovers licked and stroked him.
   Peabody watched Lan's prick slowly stiffen.
   "Look, Peabody!" Lan said.
   "Oh, I'm looking!"
   "You made me produce two eggs in one day!"
   "Is that unusual?"
   "Oh,  yes," Lin said. "Many parents only produce an egg  every
two days."

   "I love you, too."
   "Peabody, I love you so much my body made two eggs for you  in
one day."
   "Tell  him  the truth, Lan. He should hear it from  you."  Lan
got angry at Lin.
   "What? Tell him, what?" Peabody asked.
   "I  do  not  and never did love him, Peabody and that  is  the
truth."
   "But?"
   "The  lawyer  thinks  he  is in love  with  me.  I  have  been
avoiding him."
   "That is why Lan was not with me when I met you, Peabody.  Lan
was hiding from him."
   Lan  was  extremely angry with Lin. He assumed Lin was  trying
to  sabotage  his relationship with Peabody, so he would  be  the
only favorite.
   "Peabody,  Lan  told  the truth about  the  egg.  That  really
proves  he loves you. You can't fake that," Lin said. Lan  calmed
down.
   "I  understand. I think you are very attractive,  Lan.  I  can
understand  why he wants you. Lin is right. It's much  better  to
hear  about it from you than to discover it later by accident.  I
want  you  to know that I would love you even if you  were  still
seeing him."
   "I love you, beautiful."
   "I can see it! I love you, too."
   "I  realize  that you have to share me. I must be  willing  to
share you. It may not be easy, but I will try my best."
   "You  won't share any of us, beautiful. It doesn't  work  that
way. We accepted you as host. Once we do that and smell you,  our
bodies  respond only to you. I would not be able to  fuck  anyone
else,  even if I desired it. As long as you don't take any  human
lovers, everything is perfect. For us, you loving the rest of  us
is normal."
   "You  don't have to worry about that. I would much rather have
sex with you two, even if we were living on Earth."
   "Are you serious?" Lin asked him.
   "Yes. Did you think I was faking my enthusiasm?"
   "No, but that is different than your preference."
   "Well, my preference is you and your brothers."
   "Thank you, my love."
   After  a  few more minutes, Lan said, "I think you are  ready,
Peabody."
   "I know I am!"

slowly  into  him, watching his face for signs of  pain.  Peabody
looked so happy, Lan almost cried.
   "I'm in. Are you in any pain?"
   "Not a bit," Peabody fibbed, slightly.

make it smooth and easy for Peabody's first time with what Abbott

   "I want your egg, my love."
   "It is yours. They all are."
   "Two a day, I hope!"
   Lan smiled at him and said, "Believe me, I hope so, too."
   "If  each  of  you produce two eggs a day, that would  mean  I
would have sex twelve times a day!"
   Lin  laughed  and  said,  "You don't have  to  have  sex  just
because  one of us has an egg. I only had sex with Aracatal  once
or twice a week."
   "Speak for yourself, Lin," Lan said. He made Peabody laugh.
   "Peabody,  the rest of us will be delighted to  give  you  our
eggs as soon as we get them."
   "Thank you, Lan. I think Lin is hoarding his."
   "What? No!" Peabody laughed again.
   "What  did  Aracatel do the rest of the time if  he  was  only
having sex with you once or twice a week?"
   "He  had sex with his favorites more often. He used sex  as  a
reward and we had to earn it."
   Peabody was starting to think Aracatel was an asshole.
   Lan  took  Peabody's legs from Lin and sped up his  thrusting.
Peabody  began  moaning  and Lan was getting  close  to  his  own

He  wondered  if that meant Lan loved him more than Lin  did.  He
