"We are having our first pack meeting."

"One thing I should have mentioned, is that we will be
spending most of our time over here, even after we move. Dad and
Alephin are here and their kids, and all our friends."
"I can understand that. If I am working from your pack house,
you can come and go as you like, of course. I will see you in the
evening."
"I figured you must be retired!"
Dag laughed.
"You'd think so, but after Tara died, working helped make the
time pass. I will be working much less in the future, now that I
have something else to do, but the transition will take time. It
was something I already planned to do, once I had a child."
Hephin nodded.

They left the room and walked back to the living room.

Hephin sat on Elepan's lap.

whether he will move here, or just visit all the time."

"We talked about him joining my pack. I told him my concerns
about him overwhelming us. He didn't think it would be a problem

understands that I might now agree with him. He would respect my
decisions about the pack. I got the impression that if he moves,
he will work during the day on his business while we are over

"That sounds like it might work," Dregor said.
"No decisions were made. We need to talk more about it before

his business and assets. I have no idea how that works."
"Hephin, all you need at first, is a bank account, some money
in it, and to learn how to write checks. As far as how joining
your pack affects him, that's up to you. You can charge a fee or
even make him responsible for paying your bills. It's all up to
you. You aren't greedy, so I'm sure that won't be a problem. He
probably wants to give you more money than you would feel
comfortable requesting. It will work out fine. And back to
running your pack. You can do it yourself, but I doubt you would
be happy doing it. Why not have Dag's people do everything, if

Hephin sighed. He felt overwhelmed. He was making decisions
for many people and it scared him.

Hephin looked around and saw Will and Max nodding. He looked
