Prologue

The year was 2075, and the world was prospering. Cures for both
AIDS and cancer had been discovered fifty years prior and world hunger had
been all but abolished. The concept of Homosexuality was widespread and
mostly accepted save for a few radical groups scattered through out the
world. The world had become a sort of Utopian society. However, the old
saying of "What goes up, must come down" had not lost its effect.
With the massive growth of sciences, there also came a massive
growth in the economy. With the extra money generated, people have delved
into many areas including the privatization of space travel. Gone were the
days of 6 day trans-Atlantic pleasure cruises, instead they were replaced
with 2 month long luxury trips to the outer ridges of the solar system, and
lifetime expeditions onward.
On a standard cruise to the rings of Saturn, contact was lost with
a Japanese operated ship called the Divine Wind. Some of her crewmembers
had come to affectionately call her the Kamikaze. This was ironic, as an
event in the near future would align her with the Kamikaze of old. Within a
week of losing contact with the Divine Wind, she came into a low earth
orbit and started falling to the earth.
When the ship first came crashing into the central Iowa, a team was
immediately dispatched to investigate the wreckage. The only difference
between this crash, and the crashes of airplanes was the presence of an odd
black substance. Packing it up into containers, they brought a small sample
back to a lab, where thorough testing was conducted upon it. Eventually it
was conducted that the substance was a symbiotic being that could enhance
human capabilities when bonded. As no differences aside from the beneficial
were discovered between the natural human and the bonded host, the
symbiotes were distributed throughout the world. By the year 2078 all
humans age 18 and over were bonded with a symbiote. There was a downside to
this however. The reproduction tended to lean over to the 'overly active'
region, and an alarming 96 percent of these babies were male. By the time
2100 rolled around, the world's population had grown to around 25 billion
people. The oddest thing about this was the fact that 24.9 out of the 25
were male, and to satisfy their sexual urges they turned to each other.
Eventually, the bonded started to so signs of aggressiveness. First
they started running off, then forcefully bonding under age people.
Eventually, they went full out insane and became mindless puppets that only
lived to multiply. The worst part about this is that the bonded had all
gone insane within a matter of hours, all 20 billion of them.
