Subject: Teth Chapter 1

This story is obviously fiction. This story will also involve sexual and
intimate relationships between two (or more) males, and if this offends you
or it is illegal for you to be reading, then please leave. If you are under
the age of consent for your community, please leave. And if it does offend
you, I honestly don't know why you're even here in the first place. Or are
you just into things that offend you? Huh, kinda existential, I guess.

Xusion found no comfort in the waning moon this night. Although what they
were planning on doing was not exactly risky, any possible ill influences
were not welcome. Only he, Aileena and Gaar were left now, watching the
road through the thick forest around them. At the least, the group of Syr
wulves were given an advantage from the low lighting and deep canopy.
Shifted into their lupin form, things were seen a lot sharper in the
nighttime; Xusion didn't know how or why, other than accept the blessing
from Nyx that his kind had received.

"You ready?" Aileena's dark face and sharp obsidian eyes were turned
towards Xusion, and he noticed that she had not shifted yet. Her long black
hair was tied up and back, so as to not interfere with her line of sight.

"Aileena, are you going in as your normal form again?" Aileena had done
this last time she and Xusion went into battle with a rival clan, which was
rather unusual; wulves often took full advantage of their polymorphing
abilities at any possible chance. However, Aileena was still quite a force
in her own right. Xusion had seen her use a bow with arrows and throwing
daggers with deadly proficiency, and she had even attempted some simple
magic at one point.

"I'm a lot sharper this way, doggy. Besides, I don't have theeese as a
wolf." Aileena wagged her thumbs at him, Xusion mock growling at her.

"Sh!" Gaar's snow white fur glistened in the little starlight that shone
through the roof of leaves, but he was now pressed low down upon the
ground. Xusion and Aileena saw it too; the horse-drawn carriage slowly
trotting down the midnight road, with nothing more than two escorts.
Silently signaling each other, the group waited for the right moment to
strike; when the guard horses were right next to them, and open to
attack. Gaar and Xusion tensed their rear muscles, waiting to jump, and
Aileena took out a flurry of metal throwing weapons spread out like a
fan. It wouldn't be long now...

...and so the moment came. Xusion jumped silent as the chilly atmosphere
around them, pouncing the closest guard to the ground without as much as a
sound other than the rustled leaves upon his falling. Aileena jumped out as
well, flipping onto the now empty horse and tossing daggers into the second
guard's neck area; the bulls-eye point that his armor didn't cover. Gaar
worked fast; his jaws ripping apart the spokes on the carriage wheels so as
to immobilize it. The wagon crashed under its own weight; the driver fell
on his back, now confronted by a strange woman and two hungry wolves.

Aileena smiled at him and whispered in his ear. "Hey there... if you want
to live, I think you better run..." She rolled her eyes, motioning to the
growling wolves at her sides. The driver took no time to respond as he ran
like the wind in the opposite direction.

Shifting back, Xusion and Gaar joined Aileena in her laughter, echoing
throughout the forest. It was time to clean up the mess, and reap the
rewards that the mission was meant to fulfill. Aileena began pulling her
daggers out of the guard, the grotesque but slightly comedic scene causing
Xusion to chuckle. He and Gaar proceeded to open the carriage. They pried
open the doors, and looked inside.

It was everything that they were hoping for; this carriage was headed for
the Abyss, and this particular one was filled with "defective" weapons.
However, they were enough for their clan of wulves to use. Broken swords,
splintered arrows, frail shields; all pieces of metal that could be
salvaged into their own means for fighting. Although it didn't seem like
much, the wulves needed this in order to survive as war-faring tribes;
although usually resorting to tooth and nail fighting in their polymorphed
form, those who couldn't transform or were not able to keep their forms
long enough had to resort to normal weapons. There were also those like
Aileena, who was now stooping down to using sharpened pieces of discarded
armor for her daggers.

Gaar and Aileena gathered up as much of the metal as possible, preparing to
ride the horses back to the Huddle. All that was left to do was the final
sweep, which no one was really in the mood to do. Aileena and Gaar mounted
the horses of the guards, their pieces of shrapnel gathered in the
saddlebags. Xusion, not yet mounted on a horse, knew what was coming.
Aileena decided to break the silence. "So, umm... Gaar and I are already on
our horses, so... I guess you have to do the final sweep. Bye!" The last
part was said in a rush, and she and Gaar raced off in the opposite
direction, leaving behind a very frustrated Xusion.

"...Great..." Xusion didn't even know why a final sweep was necessary.
Shollin wouldn't let them go on missions if they didn't, though. He started
by inspecting the bodies, making sure they were dead. He moved on to the
wreckage of the wheels, seeing if there were any valuable parts worth
taking. He continued to the inside of the carriage itself.

There was nothing of interest, really. Bits of slate and wood that couldn't
be used for anything were left scattered left and right. Open boxes lay
up-side down, and Xusion was sure to lift them up and check them as well.

However, sitting in the carriage to catch his breath from the exercise he
was doing, Xusion heard something. It sounded like a whimper or a whine of
some sort, but he wasn't sure what caused it. Xusion's ears perked up,
trying to locate the source of it. He saw it: a rather large, black box in
the far corner of the wagon. It must have been concealed earlier, probably
by a hex of some sort that had worn off due to time. He slowly walked over,
and tried opening the lid; it was shut almost airtight, although he noticed
holes in it. He looked around until he found a thin but study iron bar.
Wedging it inbetween the top, he shimmied it inside and used it as a lever
until the lid popped open. He threw the top aside, considering its use for
later. Xusion peeked inside; what he saw shocked him.

A boy, no older than 16. He was slim, with traces of scars along his pale
skin. He was wearing no more than a loose cotton shirt and pants, both of
which badly kept and torn in places. Xusion turned his head towards him.
His face was soft-featured and, he had to admit, rather attractive. He had
raven black hair at a reasonable length that just barely got into his eyes,
but was straight and smooth. He must have been asleep, but obviously
sedated, since he didn't awake from any of Xusion's stimulation. He nudged
him gently several times, the only response eliciting a soft moan and his
curling up further into a ball. Seeing him small and rather vulnerable made
Xusion smile slightly, but his face turned to a troubled one when he saw
his wrist. Tattooed on the inside of his left wrist was a thin yellow
tatto, resembling four crescent moons. He was a Psii.
