That's Impossible, isn't it?

Chapter 19

"Collel this is my Father Major Barnes, and this is Levert, he is head of
scientific studies, and Kolmar he is the leader of our city, and only
answers to one other" I introduced,

"Thank you, may I present our leader, Lord Lakkin-Do, and his emissary
Jakka-Ti, and I am as your young ones have named me as Collel, I am Lord
Lakkin-Do's advisor, when he requires one" she responded.

"Please, Lord Lakkin-Do, we need your assistance, not as an ally but as an
intermediary," Levert added. "The Earth ships have been captured and at
this time we fear for the people aboard those ships, we have had no contact
with them," Levert continued.

The leader whispered to Collel and replied for him. "Levert, we cannot
interfere with the way of your destiny, the path you follow is the path you
are traveling, we are gods and gods do not interfere" she responded.

"What kind of gods allow the slaughter of an entire species...twice?" Craig
spat out, "You had the power to save the Bokite, and chose to ignore their
plight, what kind of immortal gods chose to watch as their people suffer?"
Craig continued.

Lord Lakkin-Do whispered to his emissary and then to Collel, and she
responded. "Lord Lakkin-Do will leave and contemplate what you have
said. He is disheartened by the lack of respect being shown to him, but
understands how you see life, as you are born you live and then you die,
existence is so much more than that," she replied and all three turned and
walked back into a cloud of ground mist and vanished.

"How can anyone be so lack lustre when so many lives are at stake?" moaned
Judak, "Not so long ago, in Rome, so many people believed the pope was a
direct link to god, and not just an ordinary man," My dad responded.

"God's are fallible just as man is," added Levert,

We sat for a while and when it began to get dark we decided to leave and
return the following day, but as we began to get further away, we were
surrounded by brilliant light, and when the light faded, we were aboard the
lead ship within the Earth's fleet.

"Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" the alarm was sounded as we appeared
aboard the ship. "Stand still, don't move a muscle or I will shoot," a
soldier demanded.

"Hold your fire!" demanded my father, "Soldier, I am Major Barnes. I don't
know how the hell we got here," my dad went on.

"Teleport, must be teleport," I insisted, and the gun was then pointed at
me. "Lower that weapon, soldier," my dad insisted, but the soldier just
stood his ground.

"You do know who I am, don't you soldier?" my dad asked.

"Sorry, Sir, you have just appeared and as we are being held here, sorry
sir, we cannot take any chances," the soldier replied, keeping his weapon
aimed at both myself and my father.

"Dad, I don't understand any of this, I mean where are Levert and Craig,
Judak, Kolmar, why have they sent us here?" I asked, knowing my dad was as
much lost as I was.

Meanwhile on the lead Krile ship...

"Father, are you okay" Craig asked standing next to his father, and Levert,
weapons pointing directly at them. "Who are you, and how did you get aboard
our ship?" an officer yelled. "Answer me, or suffer the consequences," he
added.

"I am Levert, and this is my Son Craiglessty and this is Kolmar, we are
Lokite" my father replied. "Intruders on board...Intruders on board," he
yelled over the intercom. "Fire at anything not of this ship" he added.

"Take them," he added.

A soldier of sorts approached us and tried to grab hold of us, but he was
repelled by a force field surrounding us, we looked stunned. The soldier
drew his weapon and fired at my father, the energy beam being absorbed by
the barrier protecting us.

"Why are you here, what do you want?" the officer demanded.

"Peace, that is what we desire, we have not been in conflict with anyone
for over 100 years, you attacked our planet over several generations after
we invaded Bokite, we learned from our mistakes, but you, however, have
not," Levert replied.

"You wiped out the settlers, they were of no threat to you," the officer
added, obviously brought up on stories of the evil planet Lokite, and
perhaps once that may have been true, but common sense prevailed and the
faction that ruled Lokite had been all but wiped out, due to the virus
introduced to the woman of Lokite, by the Krile.

"Those were true once," Judak replied walking into the control room. "Who
are you?" the officer asked and Judak being flanked by a man in white
robes. "I am Judak, of Bokite," Judak replied, "And I am Boral," the white
robed man answered but not elaborating.

"What's going on here?" the commander of the ship stormed onto the bridge
control room flanked by several soldiers, weapons drawn. "Who are these
people on my ship and how did they get on board?" he yelled at the officer
who was now lowering his head in respect of his superior.

"I am trying to find out, your lordship," he replied, this got Boral's
attention, "Lordship?" he said looking at the man standing before
him. "Lord Del-Bo-Ray" he responded. "And who gave you that pompous title"
he laughed out.

"I am the lord of Krile, I am the supreme leader, and who, sir, are you to
challenge my authority?" his lordship demanded, Levert, Kolmar and Craig
looked on, stunned at this confrontation, Judak stood silent and with less
concern on his face than the rest of them.

"I am Boral; that is all you need to know," he responded. "Yow will tell me
who you are, I demand this or you shall pay the consequences," his lordship
demanded further.

"You are in no position to demand anything," Boral replied.

He signalled his officer to aim his forward weapons at the Earth armada
"Fire all weapons on the two lead ships if he refuses to answer my
question," his lordship threatened.

"Sir, who are you, and what are you doing on my ship, and how did you get
on this ship?" he demanded, and he gave the order to fire.

Several blasts left the three lead ships and headed for the Earth main
ships, they looked to be head on.

Back on the Earth lead ship.

"Sir, they have fired, sir, our shields are down," the young ensign
informed him, "Brace Brace Brace" came the command, I reached out and held
my Dad, and he held me. "Be strong, Bobby" he whispered,

"I love you, Dad," I replied, "As I do you, Son," he responded.

The blast came toward the ships and stopped; it froze.

"Report, Ensign," the commander of the Earth ship yelled, "Sir, I don't
know, it just stopped," the ensign replied.

Back aboard the Krile ship...

"In the name of Lakkin-Do, what is going on? First, I have invaders aboard
my ship, now my weapons do not work," he bemoaned his luck, and repeated
"In the name of Lord Lakkin-Do explain it to me."

"Your Lordship, please do not use Lord Lakkin-Do in the manner in which you
use it" Snarled an angry Boral, and the look of concern now appearing on
Judak's face, "Sir, you are not in any way in control, you have no
authority over this ship or me," his Lordship responded.

"You say you act in the name of Lord Lakkin-Do" Boral replied. "Who gave
you the authority to act on his Lordships behalf?" Boral asked, and now
looking intently.

"I am the supreme leader, I usurp authority, I act solely on behalf of his
lordship in his absence, I act on behalf of all Krile, and retribution will
be had, for all who died on Bokite" he demanded, and a loud cheer came
through the whole ship.

The energy from the weapon that was still frozen in space dissipated,

Boral and Judak left the bridge. "Stop them," Yelled his lordship. Boral
just waved his hand and all were frozen in time, he walked along the
corridor and in an instant all, Levert, Craig, Bobby and his father stood
in the same passage.

"Bobby," Craig shouted in some relief as he ran the few yards to grab me,
he wrapped his arms tight, "I had no idea where you were!" he cried out. "I
was on the ship these bastards fired on," I bemoaned, but was happy to see
my Ro-Lok.

"Sir, what is your decision?" Judak spoke, looking at Boral; I was at a
loss at this point as I had not seen this robed man before.

"I have learned much, young Judak, my people have become lost, they seek
revenge on something, and, yes, I should have stopped that years earlier,
but it is not too late to prevent history repeating, my people still need
guidance,

A second later we were right back on the bridge with Craig and Levert,
Kolmar and my Dad, with Judak, standing beside Boral, he waved his hand and
all commotion erupted.

"SILENCE" Boral yelled, and the room quietened.

"Good, it is nice to see you listen," Boral laughed, I did not know they
were capable of laughter.

"Now, listen here, your lordship," he started and his lordship's face was
growing redder by the second, "You will not inhibit the journey of the
Earthlings; in fact, you will escort them safely to Lokite, and offer
assistance if needed," Boral began.

"And under who's authority do you demand such a request?" He smirked out,
signalling his security force to take Boral into custody," Boral waved his
hand and they froze, turning them to crystal.

"Do not test my patience, your lordship!" he shouted angrily.

"Tricks, magic, sorcery!" His lordship yelled trying to show some
authority, but somewhat failing, I pulled Craig to me, as this looked like
it would not end well.

"I asked you, sir, under who's authority do you act?" he demanded.

A cloud of mist surrounded Boral and he transformed into Lord Lakkin-Do,
the crew looked in awe, his lordship dropped to his knees, he began to cry
and beg for forgiveness,

"Please, your Lordship, forgive an old fool," he begged,

"You gave yourself a holy title, and further more my Fathers Title. Do you
know how insulted I am, sir?" Lord Lakkin-Do yelled out, I feared for the
supreme commander, the anger on his lordships face was both scary and
impressive.

"Stand!" he demanded. His lordship stood and faced Lord Lakkin-Do, head
bowed showing respect. "You no longer hold the rank of supreme commander; I
will choose a new representative of the Krile, and someone who will act in
the best interest of me," he continued. "You use my name to better
yourself, try and wipe out a civilisation I had watched mature, yes, I have
also watched them make mistakes, and that is partially my fault, but I will
not stand by and watch you commit genocide in my name, and using my
father's title," he concluded, he turned and looked over at Judak.

"Young Judak, would you honour me and take up this roll?" he asked,

Judak looked stunned; a smile came over his face. "Your lordship, if that
is you wish?" he asked.

"Judak, it is my wish," he replied.

"Stand, all, please stand and hear my words, and set in stone, I, Lord
Lakkin-Do, hereby proclaim Judak of Bokite as the Successor appointed by
me, all Hail your new leader... and I will be watching, Lord Lakkin-Do
said, and then vanished in a flash of brilliant light.

Everyone stood and looked stunned, to them they had just been visited by
god, they looked on in reverence at Judak, the former supreme commander
looked beaten and worn, the fight removed from him. Craig walked over to
Judak, but was stopped by the Security detail, "Let my friend pass,"
demanded Judak, and Craig approached and hugged him tight. "It's over, my
friend, it's over," Judak said, holding Craig tight.

"Release the Earth Ships," he commanded, and his order was obeyed, he had a
friend in their god, they would not dare defy him.

I walked over to Craig and the smile on his face was evident that all now
should be well; we would go back to Lokite and begin our life
together. "What a month," I said, kissing his lips, my dad was watching as
I did this and smiled,

"Judak, take us home," asked Craig.

"Yes my friend," he replied. "Escort the Earth ships back to Lokite"
Judak's order again was obeyed by all.

"Yes, supreme commander," was the response. And they headed towards Lokite,
still not aware who had survived the evacuation of Earth.

Thank you for reading book 1 of Bobby and Craig's adventures.

I will, at some point, begin book 2, when Craiglessty and Bobby visit the
Krile home world.

Editor's Notes:

It seems as if Lord Lakkin-Do is displeased with his so called followers.

I don't think he was paying all that much attention to what his people were
up to.

I think most of you already know that I like this story. I can hardly wait
for book two.

I am looking forward to finding out what will happen next. I hope it won't
be too long before we read the first chapter of Book Two.
