Chapter 14

After incinerating the chimera's corpse, we gathered together and let
Solaris teleport us all to Nathaniel's mansion with his Sun Rise
technique. As we entered the living room I still hadn't let go of Adam's
hand yet. It was all sweaty but I didn't care. He had died for fucks
sake. I was feeling a little clingy. I think I had a right to be after
all. I glanced at him and smiled. Adam's head was snapping left and right
so quickly I thought he was going to break his neck. After being in the
dark for six years I could understand the need to take everything in.

We detransformed into our normal forms and took a seat on the couch. Adam
and I got the love seat. Killian and Ryan were left to sit on the couch.
Ryan called out to Nathaniel and he entered the living room with a
quickness in his step. As he stopped in the doorway, his green eyes
settled right on Adam. Recognition dawned on his face and he was almost
stunned for words. Yay. I liked shocked Nathaniel. He made the funniest
facial expressions. Like a rodeo clown or Adam Sandler.

"Admerion?" he said in amazement.

Adam shrugged. "I go by Adam now, Nat'ahn."

Wow. Looks like someone's memories were better than mine. Well what else
was new? No freaking fair I say.

Nathaniel settled down in the armchair. "How much do you remember?"

Adam closed his eyes. "I'm not sure. When I see something I get echoes or
images and feelings but nothing much. It's like trying to remember a
vivid dream. I do know my powers feel weaker, like when I was first
awakened at eleven."

"We all aren't as strong as we used to be," spoke up Ryan, pushing up his
glasses with a finger. I loved it when he did that. It was so Clark Kent.
"That will change with time. We think it's a safety measure. So we don't
hurt our bodies with a sudden influx of so much power."

Killian looked at Adam curiously. "I have a vague recollection of your
powers. I can distinctly remember you were called Omega because you were
close to..." here he frowned as he racked his brown to remember. "... the
Omega Point."

"I remember that too," I added, looking at Adam curiously. I turned to
Nathaniel. "What does that mean? What's the Omega Point?"

Nathaniel had that look on his face. It was the expression he wore when
he was pleased that we were getting along, doing something right, or
asking the correct questions. I was betting this time it was caused by D:
All of the Above.

"Our people were very advanced compared to today's humans. The Atlanteans
believed we existed on an evolutionary path that would lead to what we
termed the Omega Point. This is a time in our evolution when our race
would become so evolved that we would know everything in the universe.
Everything. There would be nothing that we couldn't do. We would be
godlike."

My head snapped to Adam who was pensively nodding his head. "I remember
that. I used a higher percentage of my brain than any other Atlantean."

"Sixty one percent if I remember right," Nathaniel clarified. "Compared
to the rest of the Atlanteans who used thirty percent."

Ryan's eyes widened and he leaned forward on the couch excitedly. "But
humans today only use ten percent. The things our race must have
accomplished! Are there any record in the logs-"

Wow. Someone was excited. Nathaniel shot him a fond look. "Easy there,
Ryan. Slow down. Always thirsting for knowledge. You can look through the
logs if you have further questions."

Ryan nodded like a puppy. I looked at Adam. "So what all can you do?"

"If I remember right my powers comes from my advanced evolutionary
development," said Adam, speaking as if he had recited this a thousand
times before. He probably had in our old lives. He scratched his head
sheepishly. "I'm telekinetic and telepathic. I can heal others as well. I
think."

Killian made a noise of surprise. "But you were flying like a freaking
superhero or something! And you had that glowing sword, too, that was all
lightsaber-ish."

Adam chuckled. "It wasn't really Superman flying. It was more Jean Grey
flying. I used my telekinesis."

I sighed dreamily. Did he just mention a Marvel Comics character and
their powers in a conversation to explain a situation? Oh hell yes. He
was definitely my soul mate. I was sure if someone was looking I probably
had hearts in my eyes and drool was forming at my lip and dripping down
my chin. I subtly wiped the wet patch from the corner of my lip. I tuned
back into the conversation.

"The sword is bladeless," supplied Adam.

Nathaniel chuckled. "Its nice to know some things is still the same. You
called that sword Animus Gladius."

"Mind Sword," I translated, unthinkingly. I didn't even know where that
came from.

Adam gazed down at me and smiled happily. He squeezed my hand. "That's
right. The blade of the sword is raw psionic energy composed from my
mind."

"Geez, what can he not do," muttered Killian, none too quietly.

I shot him a glare and prepared to retort. Adam beat me to it. He let out
a long and rolling laugh. He shook his head and looked at Killian with a
friendly smirk.

"You used to say that a lot I remember," he replied, grinning broadly.
"It was something of a running joke between you and me."

I blinked. Yeah. Somebody obviously remembered more than I did. I flexed
my arm and was relieved that it was almost healed. My bruises from the
fight were rapidly fading leaving a soreness that I knew would soon
vanish as well.

"If we're here and awakened," began Adam, gazing around. "I'm guessing
our seal is weakening. The chimera was always a favorite solider for the
Lords in Shadow to employ."

I nodded and traced his hand with my finger. "Yeah. I got awakened first
and then Ryan, and Killian came third. The barrier hasn't fully dropped
yet. Only a few monsters have crossed over every week. Recently we've
been encountering more powerful creatures."

"Don't forget about the army of demons we killed in the Ever After,"
threw in Killian.

Ryan nodded. "We think they're preparing to invade. It's good that you've
been awakened. We're going to need all the help we can get."

"An invasion sounds like their style," muttered Adam.

I needed to talk to Adam. Like now. I looked at the others and mouthed
"get lost". Killian crossed his arms, and folded his hands in his lap,
looking real comfortable. He looked at me with a smirk and I gave him a
hard look. Ryan rolled his eyes and tugged on Killian's sleeve, pulling
him up to his feet. He smiled at me sympathetically. Nathaniel sat in the
armchair and I had to motion with my hand and even make shooing motions
to signal him to leave. He raised his eyebrow and left the room behind
the others. Finally.

"I was wondering when we would get some alone time," admitted Adam,
turning to me and glimpsing me with that beautiful smile of his.

"Tell me about it." I sighed and looked at our entangled hands then back
up him. I got a little chocked up and blinked back tears. "I was scared
that you were dead back there. I didn't want to lose you after finding
you so quickly."

"You wouldn't lose me that easily," replied Adam, running a hand through
my hair.

I laughed a little and gazed into his hazel eyes. "It's so weird that you
can see now. Not that I'm not happy for you. God. What are you going to
tell people?"

"About getting my sight back?" asked Adam. He chuckled and shrugged. "I
don't know. I'll just say I woke up and bingo I could see. People don't
look too hard into things that can't be explained."

Ain't that the truth. I looked down at the floor and gathered my
thoughts. I was feeling so overwhelmed by everything. It just so much all
at once. I wasn't sure what was going to happen from here on out.

I met his eyes and made my face as stoic as possible. "So where do we go
from here?"

I wasn't sure how he was going to answer this one. I know how I wanted
him to answer but wanting and knowing were two different things. I
schooled my face hoping I wasn't showing him how hopeful and desperately
I wanted him. I didn't want my heart broken.

Adam smiled nervously. "I hope we can start a relationship. I know we
aren't Admerion and Emrys anymore, but I have strong feelings for you.
Feelings I really want to explore."

I felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. A broad grin broke over my
face and I threw my arms around Adam. I knocked him over with my weight
and he laughed, holding my tightly in his arms. I sighed happily against
Adam's neck and snuggled into his chest. This was nice. He wanted me even
knowing about our complicated past lives. It was a great relief to know
that Admerion and Adam hearts were both in the same place. I didn't know
why I doubted he would suddenly change his feelings, but some part of me
was wondering if this was all too good to be true. Okay, so sometimes I
was a little pessimist. Sue me.

Adam eyes flicked to the mirror hanging on the wall. His mouth dropped
open and he stood up in a daze. I frowned at him, watching his trance
like movements as he stood before the mirror and just stared stupefied. I
was totally expecting him to extend his arms and command "Mirror, Mirror
on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?". I gazed suspiciously at
the bowl of apples on the coffee table and snapped my head up when Adam
shakily turned to me. His hazel eyes were wet and my heart lurched at the
tears that trailed down his cheeks.

"This is the first time I've seen my face in six years," he whispered,
shakily. He turned back to the mirror and softly said, "I had forgotten
what my eyes looked like."

Waves of sympathy hit me full force. What must it feel like to look at
your own image and wonder if it was really your face looking back at you?
To go six years of seeing nothing but darkness was unthinkable. I don't
know how I would manage. I stood up and wrapped my arms around him from
behind. I rested my chin on his shoulder and breathed into his long brown
hair that fell onto a wavy mess upon his shoulders. We met eyes in the
mirror and I smiled at him.

"Do you like what you see?" I asked, quietly.

Adam cracked a small smile. "I look like my dad."

"He must have been quite a looker," I said, laughing. "You're gorgeous."

Adam rolled his eyes and his reflection smirked teasingly at me. "You're
just trying to get into my pants."

I shrugged and smirked right back. "Not today."

He spun around and wrapped his arms around him. I let out a squeal as he
picked me up and spun me around. A delighted laugh broke free as he spun
me around in his arms. He echoed my laugh and his eyes were lit with such
a light of amusement. He stopped spinning me and I looked up at him in
wonder. What had brought that on? Adam smiled brilliantly at me. His
smile always looked bright against his permanently tanned skin. His
dimples were out full force too. Man those things were just too cute.

"I can't believe that you're here," Adam said, amazed. "I can't believe
we're all here. How great is it that we have a second chance?"

I shook my head, chuckling. "It's like something from a dream really."

Adam leaned down and our foreheads touched. I always thought it sounded
corny when people said they could get lost in someone's eyes. Now I
understood the expression intimately. Adam's eyes were so captivating
that I couldn't help but stare. They were amber with flecks of green and
brown swirling within. I knew when he got mad his eyes turned an intense
green or when he was sad they reflected a light brown. I knew it like I
knew the freckles on my hand.

"I've been wanting to do this since I first met you," he said, eyes
flickering down to my lips.

He bent down and I didn't stop him. The kiss was everything advertised in
my dreams. Full soft lips touched mine and I moaned at the heated weight.
His mouth covered mine, and his tongue brushed against mine, and his arms
were around me, pressing me against him. We kissed for over two hours or
so it felt. He pulled away and I sighed dreamily. I looked at him and he
looked just as dazed and amazed as I was.

I grinned stupidly. "I hope it's like that every time."

"You and me both," he agreed with an equally dopey grin.

I pulled him back to the couch and snuggled back into his side. Now that
I got my man I was feeling like I was on top of the world. Almost like
Jack in Titanic but really hoping I wouldn't die at the end. The monster
in my chest was purring in content. I finally had what belonged to me. He
was mine again. This moment right now, me leaning against him with his
fingers running through my hair, was better than any dream memory for me.
I looked at the doorway and Killian peeked his head in.

"Is it safe to come in again?" asked Killian, smirking teasingly. "I
don't want to trip over any busted condoms."

I nodded knowingly. "Ah yes. You do associate a stigma with busted
condoms. After all you were spawned because of one."

Killian shot me the finger and waved Ryan and Nathaniel in. They smiled
that teasing smile at us as they took their seats. It was the special,
weird smile that people gave new couples. It was full humorous teasing
with a touch of knowing. I personally assumed it meant "a good fucking is
in your future" but Kevin always shot that theory down. Some people.

"So, I'm to guess you two are together?" asked Nathaniel.

I nodded. "You bet'cha British accent we are."

He rolled his eyes. "I take it that means yes. It's great that your love
has survived all this time."

Ryan nodded in agreement. "It is amazing that you two are together again.
I mean it's been millions of years. That's pretty incredible."

Holy Prada shoes. Millions of years. I never thought of it like that
before. I snuck a glance at Adam and I could see he too was stunned into
shock. Color us clueless.

"Can you tell us about our past selves?" Adam asked to Nathaniel. "I'm
really curious as to how much we've all changed. I think I remember
Apollo and Emrys being really good friends. Best friends I think. That
still true?"

Silence.

I mean it was that type of silence where the room just suddenly hushed. I
looked at Adam and then my head swiveled to Killian. I didn't know what
to say. While I didn't hate him as much as I used to, I begrudgingly was
beginning to like him. I would never admit it for all the gold in a
rapper's mouth though. Killian met my gaze, and his contempt and barely
disguised loathing reminded me that we would need a lot more time to work
through our issues. I gave him a perfect go to hell smile. Sha-boo-yah.
Nathaniel and Ryan squirmed in their seats the silence was becoming a bit
uncomfortable. Adam's eyes snapped from person to person trying to work
out what the big mystery was.

"Umm... I guess I missed something?"

You can say that. "Let's just say that you've missed quite a bit." But I
was kind of curious myself as to what our past selves were like. "So
Nathaniel how about some story time. Have we changed much?"

He looked deep in thought. Maybe I shouldn't have asked. I had forgotten
how broody and sullen Nathaniel got when our past lives were mentioned. I
guess being the only one to remember and actually know how things were
took its toll. I didn't want to go all Inspector Gadget on his ass, but I
was curious and he was the one with the answers.

"Well I suppose you are different and alike in many ways," explained
Nathaniel. He looked at Ryan. "You, as Aurek, were quiet but you had this
assertive and confident air about you. One could only look at you to see
that you were a strong person, inside and out. You were a brilliant
strategist and a master at arms. You were always inventing new weapons
and ways of defense against the enemy. It was widely known your best
traits were your hard work ethic, loyalty, and friendship."

"What about me?" asked Killian impatiently, interrupting him.

Nathaniel laughed at his eagerness. I wanted to vomit. "Well Apollo was a
real take charge person. Impossible wasn't in his vocabulary. There was
always a problem for every solution. You were the definition of
determined. And you had a temper!" Here he laughed. Here I mouthed `No
fucking shit'. "You and Emrys were always arguing but it was good
natured. You two were the best of friends. You were the second Chosen
awakened after Emrys in Atlantis. When you were brought to the Imperium
Tower for training, you immediately latched onto each other."

Adam looked at me. "Are you guys close this time around?"

I raised my eyebrow. "Is bald Brittney sane?"

He chuckled. "No way."

"Then you have your answer," added Killian from the armchair.

Nathaniel quickly started talking again. Thanks for the subject change.
Only thing Killian and I were really good for was a good argument when
speaking about the other one.

"Adam," said Nathaniel, shaking his head, a look of remembered
exasperation on his face. "You were a handful sometimes. From the first
time you saw Emrys you proclaimed your love of him. There was no telling
you any different. You frequently performed great acts of bravado and
boldness to impress the young prince. The feats you went into winning his
hand were always talked about through the entire city. People were often
in awe of you since you were closest to the Omega Point. You sometimes
let it go to your head, but it never really changed you. Kind and
compassionate were your best qualities. Qualities that eventually won
Emrys's heart."

"Oh, is it my turn!" I shouted gleefully, grinning like a loon.

Nathaniel nodded. "Chad... you and Emrys are... very different."

I didn't like the way he said that. He spoke too carefully as if he was
thinking his words over to make them sound as nice as possible. It was
the same tone people used when talking about Oprah. Real careful and too
neutral, as if gauging the best way to spin a good light on her. Because
really no one talks about Oprah and gets away with it. No one sane
anyway. That woman could have you murdered and then run a "heartfelt" two
hour special story about it, acting innocent as Dakota Fanning in a
horror movie. I frowned at my tangent thoughts. I wasn't that bad. Was I?
I would like to think that even though me and Emrys were different, I was
a good different.

"I think you are the person that Emrys always wanted to be," concluded
Nathaniel, thoughtfully. "You are carefree, bluntly honest, and
emotional. Things he couldn't allow himself to be. All Emrys ever wanted
was to be normal. He was already a prince and second in line for the
throne. When he turned eleven he was given the title of leader of the
Chosen and was responsible for heading the war against the darkness. It
was a great weight to put on his shoulders. Even though Emrys wanted
fewer responsibilities, he took control of his obligations and fulfilled
his duties with a grace and determination that was often admired."

I looked down sadly. I knew he was telling the truth. That part of me
that always urged me to have a good time was in agreement. I gripped
Adam's hand tightly and stared at Nathaniel seriously.

"When did we die? What age?" I asked.

Nathaniel gazed down at the ground. "You were all twenty two when
Atlantis fell and that last battle took place."

I flinched as an echo of screams sounded in my distant memories. "So many
people died that day," I whispered.

Adam nodded, sadly. "At last some people escaped to the shores. I
remember that. What happened to them, Nathaniel?"

"Those that made it to the mainland found only harsh land and primitive
humans. They had no hope of rebuilding their former civilization so they
interbred with humans. They passed on a great many things. They laid the
foundations for today's civilization. They passed on ideas, language, and
the genes for using magic."

I blinked. "So the humans today that are `special', like psychic or
magical in any way are descendents of Atlanteans?"

Nathaniel nodded and smiled, pleased. "You are correct."

Wow. I was right. Go team me. I felt good about myself. I was tempted to
pat myself on the back but I didn't dare do while Killian was in the
room. A biting comment would surely come from him. Well unless I shoved a
fireball up his ass. That made me grin.

Adam looked around. "I know this is probably late, but I don't think we
introduced ourselves. I'm Adam Caine by the way."

We stilled in a surprise. He was right. I laughed first followed by,
Adam, and then everyone else. It was too funny. There hadn't been a hello
or anything. We had immediately clicked and got right into a deep
discussion. I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I
squeezed Adam's hand.

"You already know me," I said, winking.

Killian made a noise in his throat. "Someone get me a trash can. I want
to hurl in it."

Ryan rolled his eyes and smiled at Adam. "Ignore him. I'm Ryan Spencer."

"Nathaniel Ruiz," said Nathaniel with a nod.

Killian gave him the cool head nod that guys do. "Killian Morris."

Adam squinted his eyes, thinking, "I know that name from somewhere."

I patted his arm. "Killian is a model. You've probably heard of him. He
almost beat out Jared for the role of Subway's weight loss mascot."

"I think Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Hollister are a little more upscale
than Subway," corrected Killian, giving me the evil eye. "But that little
story was cute. And how do you know about Subway? It's obvious you
wouldn't know fat free if it smacked you in the face."

I narrowed my eyes. "Are you calling me fat?"

"If the snout fits porky," he replied, turning his nose up at me
haughtily.

"You go to hell," I snapped. "You go to hell and you die."

Nathaniel blew his breath out loudly, stopping my tirade. "Chad you are
not fat. And Killian no matter how shallow and self absorbed you pretend
to be-"

Killian snorted and waved him off. "Hey now. Don't get me mixed up with
him. I happen to be genuinely self absorbed and deeply shallow."

I couldn't agree more with that statement. "Since you're so fucking high
on yourself. How come you didn't kill that chimera when you ran into it
last night?"

Killian glared at me. "We wounded it pretty good and it vanished. We only
just tracked it again tonight." He then smiled evilly at me. "You would
probably know that though if you were there last night. Wait you were out
at a `thing' you said, right?"

I narrowed my eyes. "You guys said it was fine. But if you need me to
hold your hand in the future. I will gladly chop it off and then hold it
for you."

His eyes flared white. "Try it."

My powers surged in response to my flaring emotions. I'm sure my own eyes
shined with an eerie blue light. "When?"

"Wow," interrupted Adam, looking between the two of us. "Are you two
always like this?"

Ryan nodded, tiredly. "Always."

Nathaniel cleared his throat to get our attentions. "Chad, when Ryan and
Killian told me of their troubles in getting a hold of you because of
your phone, I came up with these."

He waved his hand and the ring on his hand gave off a warm glow. I
closed my eyes at the flash of light that appeared above the coffee
table. Damn. I forgot that Nathaniel could do magic. He used it so rarely
that it was easy to forget he was in fact a wizard. I looked at the
coffee table and in the light's wake was a rectangular, silver box.
Nathaniel flipped the top open and nestled on a raised cushion were five
devices all in different colors. They were thin, flat and shiny. Oooh
Shiny...I immediately snatched up the blue one. Everyone looked at me. I
blinked sheepishly at a snickering Adam. What? So I liked shiny things. I
really examined the object and frowned. What the Flying Dutchman.

"A cell phone?"

Nathaniel shook his head. "These aren't just cell phones. I created these
in the Command Center. They are made with Atlantean technology. While
they look like cell phone's you will find they have many more advanced
features. They are all connected to the servers in the sub levels, so you
can effectively communicate with me and each other. Also, you can receive
information from the mainframe and use it as a miniature computer like
you would the systems downstairs."

"Have you been watching Power Rangers?" I asked, suspiciously.

Each cell phone was a different color. Ryan had a white one, Killian's
was in silver, Adam red, and even Nathaniel had a black one. I was
getting a real Zeo vibe.

Confused, Nathaniel just shook his head and replied, "No. Is there
something wrong with them?"

I shook my head hurriedly. "No. No. Nevermind."

Adam snorted and leaned in close to my ear. "You are such a dork."

I stuck out my tongue. "Your dork so get used to it, playa playa."

"Mine," he whispered softly, tickling my earlobe with his breath.
"Always."

I almost melted on the spot. Man I had to stop swooning around him. I was
smiling like a fucking schoolgirl. If he knew the power he had over me
that would so not be good. I mean Christmas was coming up in just a few
days. He could get anything out of me by flashing those big hazel eyes. A
jolt went down my spine. Jinkies! Christmas was coming! Do I get him a
present? I mentally slapped myself. Of course I had to get Adam a gift.
Oh man this was heavy. I've never had a boyfriend over Christmas. Hell I
never had a boyfriend at all really. Breath. Just Breath. Deep breaths. I
was saved from further panic and possibly embarrassment by the telephone
in the hall ringing.

"Anyone else thinks these are pretty cool?" asked Adam, punching random
buttons on his phone.

Ryan looked up from his. "They're nice. I glanced at some of the features
and they're amazing. We can scan, track, and do a million other things
with these things. It's incredible."

I laughed in my head. I always liked when Ryan got a new gadget or toy.
His inner geek shined right out and he rambled on and talked more than he
usually did. It was so Willow like. If she were a real person and not
just someone from Buffy then they would get along great.

Nathaniel walked back in the room. He took his seat and immediately we
all could tell that there was something that he had to say. It was
written all over his face.

"I just got off the phone with one of my contacts in England," Nathaniel
began. "They belong to the Fellowship of St. George."

"Who are they?" asked Killian before anyone else could. I know I was
about to ask.

Nathaniel smiled humorlessly. "They're a group dedicated to fighting the
dark forces like us. They're mainly wizards but some normal humans are
members too. Think neighborhood watch but with magic and mini Uzi's."

Wow. I didn't know groups like that existed. Well people didn't know we
existed too. I wondered what the other paranormally inclined people did
in the world. That sounded kind of cool. I had to remember to ask
Nathaniel about that later.

"Recently I asked my contact for information about the Lords in Shadow.
They have a lead on something. Something that can probably help in your
fight," said Nathaniel, seriously. "I don't know what it is. But I need
to fly to London tomorrow and meet them."

Wait hold the phone. "You're leaving? Who is going to do training,
monster lookout, and all the nagging?"

He looked at me. "You are leader."

"The hell!" I said instantly, and then paused as it sunk in. I was
leader. Shit. "Oh, right. I guess so." I looked at Ryan and Killian. "I
hope you guys don't give me any lip. I gots me a man now. He'll smack you
in the mouth real good and make you get in line!"

Adam, bless his heart, went with it as if rehearsed. He crossed his arms,
flexed his muscles, and scowled mock threateningly at them. If I didn't
know we were soul mates. I knew it now.

"Oh God," exclaimed Killian, looking horrified. "Now there are two of
them. He's got himself some backup."

Oh that sounded nice. I gazed up at Adam and he smiled a tiny smile at
me. He agreed wholeheartedly with that sentiment just as I did. I grinned
and leaned up just as he leaned down. Our lips brushed. Not a quick kiss.
Just a ghost of lips that made me blush. It was the first time I had ever
kissed someone in front of other people. I was such a little virgin thank
you very much.

Adam slipped his arm around me and his hand rested on my hip. "He always
has backup, Killian."

"I don't think we'll have any problems while your gone, Nathaniel,"
Ryan assured him, shaking his head at our antics with a small warm smile.

Nathaniel nodded. "Good. I know you'll do fine, Chad. Leading was always
your strong suit."

I saluted sharply. "If I need any help I'll call them."

"Them who?" asked Nathaniel, slowly.

I rolled my eyes and grinned. "Fucking Ghostbusters. Who do you think?"

Everyone sighed or groaned. What? They couldn't all be funny! I heard a
quiet chortle and looked at Adam trying to smother his laughter. I smiled
widely, proud. That's my boy. At least someone thought it was funny. I
kissed him on the cheek and he waggled his eyebrows. As long as I had
this gorgeous boy with me then I even could lead George Bush into winning
the next election.

"I'm sure everything will go smoothly," I said more to myself than anyone
else.

Shit.

I hope I just didn't jinx myself.
